The service is good and your food comes out quick. Nice place to eat for breakfast and lunch. A bonus is that it has amazing baked goods as well. Cozy and casual atmosphere and it only got busy as we started to leave. Would definitely recommend.

Our largish group of parents & gymnasts stopped here for our lunch on our way home after a meet last weekend. This establishment serves breakfast and lunch and the menu is extensive. I guarantee you'll have a difficult time deciding what to order! The food and service is excellent. The staff was very friendly and happy to talk. I had a wonderful veggie Reuben and a raspberry crumb bar for dessert. It was all delicious and we all had a wonderful experience. Our young gymnasts enjoyed everything from pancakes to greens & beans. I highly recommend this hidden gem if you're ever in Geneva, NY!

Walk up to the counter and order your food to be dine in or to go. They will call you when it's ready. If you are dining in grab your own table and utensils. We had avocado toast with over easy eggs. The meal was made fresh, good portions and delicious. We went back for breakfast a second day.

Amazing EVERYTHING!!!! Once inside your mind travels in every direction. So much to choose from. The walls boast of numerous suggestions. Excellent food and presentation. Very friendly and helpful staff. A real treat, definitely recommend. Absolutely can't go wrong!!!!

We had a wonderful breakfast here one sunny February morning before getting started on our wine event. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, the acai bowl was perfect, coffee was great...no complaints at all! This will probably be our go to place next time we're staying overnight in Geneva.

Ordered a couple catered trays for a wedding I was in. The girl was working alone but was still so kind and polite and did a great job.

Ordered online for take out, order was correct, service was great with a smile and the breakfast sandwich was delicious.

The Black and Blue salad is excellent. They also make the best cake on the planet. Everything is good. It's a nice informal atmosphere with outdoor seating available. I bring out of town guest here all the time and they are always impressed.

Great food, and great service! We hosted guests for a family wedding and this place came highly recommended by our AirBnB hosts. We had two big catering orders and Lyn was very accommodating, flexible and easy to work with. She made sure our orders fit our needs and allowed us to make changes. Everyone raved about the food, especially the bagels and pastries! The food was very fresh. Many people from our group also dined in for breakfast one morning. The portions were very generous and the food was very flavorful. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. Can’t wait to return!

There was a pretty large amount of people there, but the servers kept the line going down pretty quick, so ordering was fast. We sat down and 2 minutes later, our big order was already done. The food was very good and I am obsessed with the veggie cream cheese. We had a wonderful experience. Will definitely stop again if we are ever in the area.

Quaint eatery...order at the counter and they call your name. Self service the whole way including busing your table. Prices relatively match the decreased overhead as a result. They clearly focus on the food and deliver accordingly. It was a busy Saturday morning with a line but the food came out very quickly and was hot and delicious.

Food and staff is amazing. Had to sit here while my car got worked on all day, I am from this area but moved away. It was super busy while I stayed but they all were awesome and kept right up. I cannot say enough great things about Bagels and Cakes! My son had to spend Easter at school and I wanted to send him something to eat that was a bit special. He loves this place and I've had really good success ordering from them in the past. So, very last minute (as in after they were closed Sat night!), I ordered breakfast. lunch and dinner to be delivered this morning, Easter Sunday. I was surprised that they were able to do this on a holiday. But, at 11am sharp, they showed up at my son's frat house and delivered his food. My son was so happy! Thank you so very much for making this a special day after all. HIGHLY recommend them for the quality of their food and exceptional service!

You must stop here for desert! The scones are wonderful. We had a raspberry and apple cinnamon scone. They are perfect deserts after a heavy meal, or anytime! The scones are not overly sweet, which is wonderful. I’m not fond of overly sweet deserts. We also had the Strawberry Cake, which is very close to a shortcake, except in this case it’s made with a very light batter and again, not overly sweet icing. Both deserts were wonderful and the service was with a smile!

Food was delicious. Lots of options in the menu, has something for everyone. Happy to go to a place where the whole family is happy with their food.

I visit Geneva several times a year and a meal at Bagels and Cakes is one of the highlights of every visit. Although the menu is diverse, I always order one of their BLT sandwiches, which are among the best I’ve ever eaten (the bacon is fried to perfection!). The staff are great, the service is great, the food is mouth-wateringly delicious, and the restaurant is a comfortable place to eat a meal and share warm conversation.

My husband and I got married at Club 86 and chose Bagels and Cakes for our desserts, mostly out of convenience at first, but we are so glad we did! We got a cutting cake, as well as other assorted desserts - lemon vanilla cupcakes, chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, snickerdoodle bars (my favorite), brownies (his favorite), and cream puffs (everyone’s favorite!!). Our family is still raving about the desserts days later. It was all beautiful and so very delicious. As a side note, we have also eaten lunch here a few times and enjoyed all the food! Delicious Arnold Palmer and scrambled eggs to order. Bagel was nice and chewy with a shiny, hard outside. Home fries tasted like they had a little old bay on them and were also tasty. Most of all, very friendly and patient staff. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town!

We were in Geneva for the weekend and stopped here Sunday morning on our way home. I had the best Reuben ever! Yes, for breakfast! They serve everything on the menu all day. My husband had eggs, bacon, marble rye toast and an everything bagel breakfast sandwich. Got some freshly filled cannolis to go. Quick, delicious and very reasonable prices for the freshness and quality! Highly recommended. We will definitely return here and I’m considering their catering for an event.

I absolutely love this place. I live about 15 minutes away, I've never stayed to dine in, I usually order cakes haha. Their strawberry layer cake is absolutely to die for. The prices are amazing for a cake in general. It's always fresh, looks beautiful and of course their icing is the absolute best. Highly recommend stopping here and getting a slice but you'll definitely want a whole cake 😅

Bagels and Cakes by Club 86 - 476 Hamilton St., Geneva, NY This is review is solely based on the service and Bagels. Both are excellent. I went on two days; Day 1 was an Everything Bagel with olive and pimento cream cheese and Day 2 was an Onion Bagel with Chive and Garlic cream cheese. They were toasted just right (I like it very crisp), and they were delicious. The place was busy for both visits, but the friendly staff were able to deliver orders quickly. Stop in for a bagel if you are in town!

Breakfast quesadilla. Not my best experience at this place. They were busy and had plenty of staff. I received my food rather quickly . But waiting for a smoothie. I saw what I thought was my order in blender. Workers at the coffee station I think forgot about it and were texting and eating breakfast sandwiches at the coffee bar.. while my smoothie was still in blender. Stopped while on vacation to the Finger Lakes at a recommendation from someone that used to live in the area. This place was great! We ordered breakfast and coffee to go. It was really good! The person who recommended it also suggested a bagel and add both jalapeño and meltaway cream cheese spread. A delicious sweet and salty combo!

The food was good and even my son who's a picky eater, enjoyed his quesadilla. I can't give five stars because of the service.

This place is pretty consistent. Sometimes I get something that I think is either way too big of a portion or just not made the way I would like it. For instance, the avocado toast is too huge thick slices of toast that remain soft. Even though they are toasted. Then they have so much avocado that I was almost gagging. However, it was a great value. I often get a salad and they give you quite a bit. The service is pretty decent. The food is pretty consistent. If you like something. It's usually prepared the way you like it over and over again which is really important. I like the atmosphere but it can be a little chilly in there and the layout is a little awkward, especially the table where you get the condiments.

Food is good but pretty pricey for a sandwich/lunch meal. Smoothies were not good despite looking delicious. I rarely go here even though I live in the town because of the price.

Food here was so delicious! We tried the salads and the coffee. The salads are huge and very good! They come with lots of toppings and tasted very fresh. The coffee was also just as good. We’ll definitely be back and would love to try the desserts next time!

Completed a pick up order. I ordered the Italian Stallion and it was delish, it was something I would have put together in my own kitchen. Sandwich came with a bag of chips which was nice. The latte was made way before the sandwich came out and was not that warm, ( But I did do a takeout order via online so it is what is expected I suppose) also added Carmel to it and I don't think it was added but def. a cute spot and would come back.

It’s nice to have someone in town who knows what a bagel is. Both service and portion sizes are a little weak, though. I have never gotten a bagel and coffee in less than 15 minutes (sometimes more!), which makes this impractical as a weekday breakfast stop. Good place for an affordable brunch though; plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Doesn't knock my socks off but is alright in a pinch. Tried a couple sandwiches (Black Diamond & Turkey Melt) during recent lunch breaks because the place is nearby. Both were okay, kinda bland. Substitutions and additions can get expensive. Nice atmosphere and efficient online ordering outside of the noon lunch rush, when online ordering is closed. Order ahead if you don't have the time to wait in line. Probably won't return but maybe I just need to try a bagel or something instead.

This place is super expensive , ordered a sandwich on a croissant , hash browns and a dragonfruit smoothie. The croissant literally had one egg and a tiny sausage it was so thin for being 10$$ not filling at all . the smoothie was another $10 and didn’t taste that great. Hash browns were good . The cashier had to gel the cook to stop chatting in the lobby that he had orders, so food took a bit too. disappointed for cost

While the food is good, the prices are a little high. Plus, a surprise extra charge for a garlic wrap. Customers should be made aware of this upcharge. Would also be nice to see prices upfront. The wrap I got had little garlic mayo. Which makes the wrap. There are tons of the core of the Roman lettuce in there, though. The worst part of any lettuce.

I really wanted to like Bagels and Cakes. The ambient was on its way there. I really loved the hanging globes in the hallway by the bathroom. The table also had squishy, comfortable chairs and fun trivia cards. However, the fruit in the fruit cup was not fresh, and our exchange for something fresher was equally as disappointing. Our table was also disgustingly sticky. I ordered the avocado toast, which was OK, but I would not say it was as impressive as my bill. I was also really turned off by the sign on the door asking people to be patient with the staff that had shown up because "people don't want to work." Well, that's super unmotivating for anyone that does come come in to work and repelling to those that visit.

I got a bagel with cream cheese and lox and it cost $17. Absolutely outrageous.

Tried this place for the first time. I placed an online order and was pleased to have that option. However, when I walked in to grab my order, not a single staff member greeted me or even acknowledged I was there. Secondly, I paid $7 for a breakfast sandwich, thinking it would be huge with lots of meat as pictured on the online menu. It was not. I would’ve gotten a bigger sandwich for cheaper across the way at Dunkin’. This place has potential but as of now, it is nothing short of disappointment.

I really don't like to leave reviews but I feel like it is necessary. First our orders were not right. My friend had her fixed but im not one to really complain. The burger I got was very good but I ordered medium and definitely got raw because the blood just dripped out. Before we left I wanted to get some bake goods to bring home. Now I don't live near by, 2 1/2 hrs away. I had ordered 2 scones along with other bake goods. Got home to put things away and no scones. I dont know what happened. Looked at my receipt and I was charged for them. After the fact I wish we would of just ordered coffee and kept on the road. On the positive...quaint little place and the bagel and strawberry cream cheese was great.

This place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL!! I've tried this places about a few month's apart. The first time i had a burger, beautiful presentation. Today i had a steak salad, also beautifully presented. The only issue i've had both times is that neither the burger or the steak had a lick of seasoning on it 🥲 everything was so bland but looked delicious, so it was a big let down. Please work on your flavors!! I will lend y'all some salt and seasoning if you need it 💖

Terrible if you are elderly or special needs. The cashier talked to me as if my company wasn't there. Asked if we wanted our food with sauce on it and didnt actually come with the ketchup. We felt more like a bother than a customer. Food was good. Service had A LOT to be desired. Also spot on the one side of the building with the flush sidewalk should be handicap.

I recommend this place offen, but this experience was not a good one. I waited an hour and 45 minutes for a burger that was supposed to be well done. It is almost raw, a total waste of my money I can't even eat it

Company has deteriorated immensely over the years, I come here on my stop to Geneva every couple of years. I am from PA. I went about three years ago and everything was as good as gold, now I’m not sure how they’re still open. Food is okay, but extremely overpriced for the small portions and basic ingredients. Workers seem mistreated and miserable. Very fake smiles, kind of like they were being held hostage. Lol. Atmosphere is cute and setup nice I’ll add a star for that. Sat at the smoothie bar waiting for my food and heard all of the workers talking crap about every customer, co-worker, even the owners. I would say I am disappointed but hopefully this feedback will change some things.

I frequent Club 86 for School Board events regularly and I think it's a great venue. I have never eaten here before. We went in today for breakfast. It was busy, but not any busier than Connie's or The Green Apple during breakfast. The girl must not have listened to a word I said. I ordered the 2-3-4 with bacon (she typed sausage) my husband ordered the same (she didn't even add the bacon) and my daughter order an Acai bowl with peanut butter and got nothing 🤦 My bagel came out toasted which I did not ask for. I am originally from downstate, where you only toast a bagel if you request it. As always, at the register I left a tip thinking I was going to get what I "ordered" but was sadly disappointed. I'll still stop in for the Triscuit dip, but that's it.

Bagels and cakes extremely disappointing. My work ordered some food from them. A chicken ranch wrap that clearly stated no bacon! Even the slip THEY PRINTED OUT 2 times . Said no bacon. Guess what IT HAD BACON!!!! Then my burger was not ordered the first time was ordered when the wrap was taken back. This was a PAID FOR MEAL. I’m sorry can I get some fries with this burger. Petty! We will not be ordering again.

This place could be great. Unfortunately, it deteriorated in cleanliness over the last years and the service is not at all what it should be. I went in to get a sandwhich. There was no other customer there. The two employees chatted with the cook. One turned when she saw me standing in front of the counter, looked at me and turned back to her chat with the cook. All three did not react to my "Excuse me, please." The second time I adressed them I raised the volume of my voice thinking they might not have heard me. Again, the cook did look at me, but also turned back to his chat with the girls. It is sad, since the place was great only a couple of years back. I hope the owner realizes that he needs to make changes soon in order to keep his customers. I will definitely not recommend the place anytime soon again.

Went for a bagel and coffee with my girlfriend, was given dirty looks by the staff. After I was served my food, I wasn’t given my drinks. I had to go back up to the front counter and tell them what I ordered and then they still made my drink wrong, as for my girlfriend… she ordered a chai tea and when we were ordering the food there was no problem with that but 20 minutes later they told us that it wasn’t on the menu but I was charged anyway… don’t come here if you are looking for something quick, and if you’re looking to get your order right. Ended up paying for a drink I never got. The lady’s upfront were rude and made us feel stupid

Bagels and cakes food is decent however their customer service is lacking. Called for an order and the girl answered the phone with “I can’t take your order right now, we are doing too many things. Everyone is doing stuff.” No hello, we are backed up, would you mind calling in such and such a time, just blatant I can’t do it.

I came in to place a large order for Christmas and left without doing so. The young people they have working behind the counter have absolutely no social skills I've worked in customer service for years you can at least acknowledge the customer and say I'll be right with you but not here they stand and chat with each other. No wonder nobody's giving these kids jobs you just lost a lot of money sure I'm not the only one

Stopped in today for desserts to celebrate my and my sons birthday. There were 9 of us. The older woman behind the counter seemed put out by that alone. Several times we told her to let other customers to go ahead of us, but she refused. She was completely rude through the entire ordering process. Some of our party then refused to even order because she was so rude. So they lost out on a much bigger order. While waiting for our order, other customers were saying she was rude to them as well. We decided to take our order home, rather than tolerate her anymore. The teenagers weren't much better, but that's not surprising if this woman is their boss. It's a shame to be in a face to face business, but clearly can't stand people. No way to run a business. We will not be back. Zero stars should be an option

When we walked in and went up to the counter we were greeted by the cashier who did not seem to really want to be there. When we told her it was our first time at the establishment she did not have any suggestions she just stood there quietly. We finally ordered a Swiss and mushroom burger and a Swiss and mushroom chicken both with fries. The Swiss and mushroom burger was undercooked and cold fries, does swiss and chicken sandwich was very dry but at least the good part he had warm fries. When I went up to say something they were very happy to remake my sandwich and fries but when I decided to finally walk back up to find out where it was it was made wrong I did not order a bacon cheeseburger little different if you ask my opinion. When I told them I just want a refund one of them said okay the rest just argued with me like we were back in high school. So if you would like to go to an establishment that you feel like you're back in high school it might be a great place for you. But if you actually want hot fully cooked food don't go there

Very terrible treatment by the lady working the counter when our family came in to order. Sat down at a table and the family next to us said "she was the same way with us". Treated all of the customers like they were an inconvenience. Absolutely will never go there again.

Food is very good and that's about it. Meaning the kitchen is the only thing keeping this place busy. Other staff and especially management too often damage the the good reputation of the food. At the moment it's difficult for me to drive and the short walking distance can't be done either. So, I usually ask for delivery. Bad idea. My last 3 orders each had something flakey about them. Example: I was on the phone recently for a delivery and was told we don't send the delivery drivers out with change - I made them aware that I only had a 100 dollar bill to pay with. Amuse yourself with trying to figure that one out. Just an hour ago I received a call from the store to sort out yet another hambone issue. There was clearly an undertone of suspicion toward me about this order that was shortly confirmed when the same person (an owner!) with not the smallest hint of an approaching apology for their drama arrived at the door with my order. With some creeped out air about her, she quickly took my money and, forgetting her manners, bolted without so much as a thank you. Considering the amount of money I've dropped there over the years, I feel, well...insulted and rudely treated. But, as mentioned earlier, that's management for you; a part of their business they seem not very good at.

The staff was polite but they forgot half my order and then insisted I come back, which is reasonable, but insisted I pay for it again while still on the phone. Even though they had my receipt of file showing what i had ordered and paid for. The person who answered the phone was awful to deal with, hopefully this is a rare scenario for this establishment.

Hm, a label in my salad. I guess the plus side is that I know where the ingredients are coming from? The food quality has ranged from good to average, but my general experiences with customer service have ranged from "distracted nonchalance" to "just average". Were this not basically the only game in town, I'd go somewhere else. Plus I'm not sure what the "I stole a drink from Bagels and Cakes" picture is about (roughly paraphrased, no picture attached to review). But out of context, it looks outright dystopian.

I’ve eaten from this place a million times and never have I ever encountered an experience like I did today. I know things happen as nobody or any establishment is perfect. I ordered French fries and as I was eating them I bit into one that was freezer burnt. It left such a HORRID taste in my mouth that I about threw up if I didn’t rinse it right away. One could say it was close to something that would taste moldy. I wasn’t upset, more so shocked because I’ve always had such a great food experience with them. I called the establishment letting them know about it and how I was also missing another item I had paid for. A worker named Linn accused me of lying about the freezer burnt fry and got very hostile with me and took it extremely personal even when I assured her that I wasn’t trying to make a thing out of it nor was making any accusations towards anybody. I was just informing them of what happened and I simply wanted a fresh batch and the item I was missing, considering I was a paying customer and didn’t want the food that I paid for to be shit as well as wanted an item that I did pay for and never received. Linn refused my service and stated to me “ I don’t believe you about the French fry because I go through them everyday”. She was unable to take accountability for a possible mistake, who am I to know. I just wanted quality food that I paid for. Not an argument/debate from someone who didn’t even taste what I had tasted. If she did, she would’ve been puking and apologizing to me for the way she was handling the situation and speaking to a customer.

From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by a very mean and disgruntled cashier. This cashier was a middle aged lady and did nothing but complain to us about what we ordered. I wanted a piece of cake from the cooler and was told I could not have it because it had been in the cooler to long. We had a party 8 and we're there to have some birthday cake to celebrate 2 different birthdays. Everyone of us in the group got the same treatment from this lady and when we sat down to wait for our order the people sitting next to us who had ordered lunch got the treatment from this lady. If she can not be personable to the customers she needs to be in the back or better yet she shouldn't be working there. Not recommended that people go there for anything if this is the type of service they allow in their resteraunt.

First (and last) experience at this place. No greeting when we walked up to the counter. Cashier was just standing there looking bored so it wasn't like she was busy. And we were obviously newcomers, since we had trouble locating the bagels. They were in bins behind the counter, so we couldn't see them before we ordered - if we had, we may have changed our selection. My husband ordered a plain and a sesame bagel, I got blueberry and an egg bagel. We were getting them to go (she never asked if we wanted them sliced or asked if we wanted to also buy cream cheese) so we never saw them until we got home. The sesame bagel was Coated with seeds! It looked like the entire bagel had been rolled in seeds and the entire surface was coated. The bagels smelled And tasted like garlic - definitely Not a flavor I wanted on my blueberry bagel! Their bagels are a reasonable price but we Won't be back.

Let me start by saying I have enjoyed the food here and was a frequent customer up until about 2 months ago. My wife and I would order at least once a week. We stopped ordering from Bagels and Cakes as the service was becoming worse. Well this week we decided to give it another shot. I called and was first put on hold for 10 minutes so I'm assuming they just forgot to pick the call up. So instead I drove in and ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. I waited for my order then drove home. After I opened my order I realized it was a regular ranch chicken wrap. I called the restaurant and let them know what happened as I understand mistakes do happen and orders do get messed up. Instead of offering to fix the problem I was transferred to who I was told was the cook. The cook asked me the problem, I explained and then heard him yell to someone else if they made a Buffalo chicken wrap or another type. He told me the other cook made the correct wrap and he him self witnessed it being made. I assured him it wasn't correct and I would bring it back to show him. At this point I could tell he was irritated because he said "sorry we will talk to you later" and told me to bring it back if I had a problem with it. I wasn’t looking to debate with a chef just making them aware, so I drove back another 15 minutes later and met with the manager who then looked at the order confirmed it was wrong and did refund me for the wrap portion of the order. Well I appreciate the refund that's not what I drove back for. I live over 12 miles from this restaurant so it wouldn't make sense to drive back for a 12 dollar refund. They just couldn't grasp the concept of owing the mistake and trying to fix it. Instead nothing but excuses from the manger and saying it happens over and over. This was really not a review I wanted to write as I was a long time customer but at this point it's the only way I can see getting the word to the owners to make some improvements . I don't know if it's training, staffing problems or just entitled young people running a business with know guidance but I hope they can turn it around. Ambiance would be that of a high school cafeteria with the students running the kitchen.
