Came here for Fredericksburg Steak, Whiskey Cigar Fathers Day Festival. Love the atsmostphe here and the staff. They are super friendly. Glad we got out the city and came to enjoy the country side here. Definitely will be back!

This place is a breath of fresh air! Leaving Fredericksburg and headed to see the bats at Alamo. Got the $20 T-bone, baked potato, and salad deal on Friday night. Amazing!!!!! There was a great band! The drinks were so delicious! The menu has whatever you want. My kids were so happy!!!! Goats, cats, playground, and space. The staff is incredibly friendly!!! I highly recommend this place. From Nashville, TN and definitely want to come back here.

Honeymooners Offroad Adventures

Went for prime rib night which is Thursday. Prime rib is only $20 and you get a salad and your choice of fries, baked potato or loaded baked potato. Prime rib has a rub on the outside that was really good but could have been marinated a bit longer for it to sink into the meat. The horseradish sauce was amazing. Best we have ever had and tasted like it was homemade. We also had the philly cheesesteak with homemade fries. The philly had very little taste but the meat was very tender. If it would have had more flavor, we would have given it a 5 out of 5. The atmosphere is nostalgic and the locals are friendly. There was a band playing inside that was really good. We sat outside and enjoyed the music from there. We had a resident taste tester join us (cat) and after sampling a few bites, decided to just hang out and chill with us. We felt like we took a step back in time here. Very cool place. Plenty of parking. We would definitely go here again and try some more food and drinks. Prices are reasonable and you can't beat a $20 Prime rib. If you are in Fredericksburg, take the drive to Bankersmith to go here. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I are staying in an Airbnb nearby and decided to stop by along the way. We ate The Original Pig Sandwich and Everyone’s Favorite Pulled Pork Nachos. The sandwich was great and tangy, not too messy. The nachos were also excellent, coming with a white queso. The atmosphere was cozy and the knick-knacks around the place were neat to look at, especially the Houston Astrodome seats!

This place is so cute! Like going back in time. Sandy was very personable and helpful. We had the hamburger and fries to eat. Very good! My husband had a blond shiner beer. He said it was very good. Two musicians were playing music. Was an awesome experience all around. Oh and we are traveling with our dogs and they were allowed in. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

The food is amazing. Love the buffalo wings they were cooked to perfection. The poboy my husband had was just as good as the one on New Orleans and he has been looking for one here in Texas. The goat cheese with garlic we love just would tell them next time no honey. Everything was amazing and will be back. Our new favorite place to go. Oh and the atmosphere was beautiful and cozy.

For my wife's birthday, I purchased tickets from Taste of Texas to eat snow crab, listen to a band, and apparently go across the road to a winery and exotic animal farm to take a tour. I didn't realize just what all I had purchased for my $38 per person. Had I known we could purchase the crab by itself, without purchasing tickets for the winery and tour, that's what we would have opted for. The crab was $20. I let my wife eat the bulk of my crab, partly because I'm more of a lobster and shrimp fan. She loves crab. We've never eaten crab like this. It was super oily. None the less, my wife enjoyed it. All around, the day was a big hit with my wife. Bankersmith is just a small old wooden building that may have been a general store on Old San Antonio Rd. It's a rather eclectic place with an old Greyhound bus from the 50s as a backdrop for the band. We enjoyed sitting by an open fire and listening to the band. Bankersmith is just a mile or two north of the old railroad tunnel state park where you can watch bats emerge at dusk. NOTE: When they have these special events, they have a very limited food menu.

Two stars... was Not as advertised. "All the fixin's" included a (as in one) corn coblette. Paid 80 $ for two clusters of crabs and one corn!!! Crab was good. Unknowingly sat at an outdoor table that had an ant bed underneath and got bit serval times. The atmosphere (besides the ants) was cool, a lot of old signs and decorations. Decided to try the "mountain oysters" $10 per plate... came with one- not even the set- and some kind of overcooked gizzard. The people were friendly enough, but WAY over priced for what we got! Don't waste your money. For the same price there are several seafood restaurants in town!
