I ordered the carne asada taco as my “ride home snack” because I was starving, and the carne asada nachos as my entrée. The taco was bigger than expected and absolutely packed with meat. Super tasty and genuinely delicious. The nachos were the best I’ve ever had. Hands down amazing. The portion sizes and flavor of everything were superb. This was my first visit, but they’ve officially been added to my list of places to come back to. Sorry I don’t have pics. I ate everything way too fast. 😅
Carne asada fries were tasty! Burrito was delicious as well. Though its more of a take out place there are a few chairs inside.
Fresh zesty fare always tastes scratch made, service is friendly and the establishment clean and efficient. My go to for a fish burrito or fish tacos but the house special is delicious and the street corn is obscene in all the right ways.
Absolutely incredible Mexican food! Great staff but the food is exceptional! Didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the food we ordered as it was demolished as soon as it was given to us!
I’ve enjoyed dining at Brick and Flour many times, especially their artisanal pizzas and flavorful pasta dishes. The relaxed vibe and friendly service create a comfortable dining experience. It’s a great place to indulge in classic Italian comfort food.
By chance my family came to the Glendale location for lunch. I'm from ELA so I was skeptical. However, the food was damn good! We ordered tacos, tortas and asada fries. This place offers an alcohol selection that's versatile. The music in the a hop was super cool 😎 and staff were awesome, and trust me ..this neighborhood is not abundant in good service. Check this place out.
Absolutely incredible Mexican food! Great staff but the food is exceptional! Didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the food we ordered as it was demolished as soon as it was given to us! A real gem and incredible, authentic food! Everything was delicious and fresh. So good we visited on 3 separate occasions on a 4 day stay in LA!
Great establishment. Food is quality and isn’t rushed. The workers are kind and even gave us a College of the Canyons discount so if you are from there check the place out. Great service time and we got our food back relatively quick. To top it off, they have a variety of options to share with others that aren’t just tacos and the such.
I can very easily see why this place is so popular they’ve got a number of items priced under $10 the ingredients are fresh the wait is not very long at all and the sauce is that they give you a delicious actually because I live in Huntington Beach which is a good hour away from this place I cut my burrito and half so I could enjoy it tomorrow giving me two days of enjoyment. I ordered the steak burrito or the Kearny Asada burrito is it Stone and my only regret is that I didn’t order two of them. They have convenient payment options it’s a wonderful little area to visit and I highly recommend you stop and it’s very easy to see why this place is so popular.
BEST TACO I’VE EVER HAD! Now every Mexican place i eat at will have to compare to Brick and Flour. Great food and great prices. Ordered a crispy chicken taco the chicken is so delicious and the avocado aioli is to die for. The carne Asada fries were so good and the fries were even crispy not soggy! Can’t wait to come back i found my new favorite Mexican food
Came across this Taco place on a quick Google search whilst staying the night in Glendale. The place is really small; technically minimum to no seating space with proper tables. We ordered a bunch of different Tacos and Battered Fries with Spicy Salsa. The tacos were alright; the chicken one in particular was bland. I would have given 3 stars but I give +1 star for their Battered Fries and Spicy Salsa! The battered fries were SO good and the spicy salsa was legit spicy which elevated the flavors of bland tacos to another level! Would definitely go there just for those battered fries!
Understaffed, but the food is solid. Pros: great menu (order the dish, and add whatever protein you want), tasty food, good portion sizes, great salsas, perfect amount of no-fuss options and sides, friendly staff, great outdoor seating area, ample parking. Cons: Long wait times for ordering, too many phone and delivery orders for the staff to handle, long prep time, and unclear food handoff process (they don’t call your name). Overall, definitely worth a visit - affordable and dependable Mexican option, just don’t expect things to move quickly.
So I didn't really understand the name of this place until I saw the size of the breakfast burrito. It was literally the size and weight of a brick. By far the biggest burrito I have ever had in my life. I loved the whole vibe of the shop and they have their own parking and outdoor seating area. I ordered a breakfast taco and the burrito. I added meat and avocado and my total was around $35 a little pricey but you get a lot of food. Even the breakfast taco was loaded.
My 5 pillars that define a good restaurant: Food (0-10) 8 Lets start by talking about food. This place has one of the highest quality meat in all the Mexican restaurants I have ever tried. It is more of a fusion mix between Mexican and American. They don't have many options but whatever they have is really good. They use a lot of jalapeños so make sure to be careful if you are not into jalapeños and ask for the food not to be spicy Service (0-10) 9 It is a fast food place so you need to wait to get your food and you need to do it yourself as they don't bring you anything Cleanness (0-10) 7 It is very clean food and clean kitchen yet the outside sitting area is very close to the trash so you might see animals at night Aesthetics of the place (0-10) 7 Very small space. barely couple of tables. The outside sitting area is not that great. Location (0-10) 10 Glendale is always a great location to all kind of food business. Hard to find parking. There are only couple of spaces in the back
Very kind staff, food should come with a whole roll of paper towels. The taste was pretty good, but most of it fell apart. They normally use flour tortillas but I chose corn tortillas which may have been my downfall. Again want to highlight the kind staff!
Good Mexican food, huge portions. I took some stars off because our online order wasn't correct (we didn't notice this until we got home). Also, my friend's veggie bowl was drenched in sauce/salsa to the point of being inedible. I could see how parking on a busy street like Pacific could be difficult. Not really a dine-in type of place.
Would try again if a friend wanted to, but wouldn't go back on my own. Carne Asada burrito was salty! Not overbearing but not sure I've ever had a salty burrito before. The portion of meat was very good. Rice and beans are often the main ingredients, but they got the proportions right. The burrito is quite big and generous. The meat had good seasoning and was tender enough, but not outstanding or even great. Just decent. Loved the house-made salsa!! Perfect blend of flavors. I'm glad I tried the burrito but it's not something I will crave. Parking is crowdedin this area. It's a storefront with few parking spaces in the back.
First off when you eat somewhere I think the employee who's taking your order needs to let you know if you're food is going to be spicy. Especially if your not one to eat spicy foods. This place apparently let's you find out when you're mouth is on fire. I couldn't taste the food unfortunately, but my friend I ate with said it was decent.
At 1st glance when driving up from the back, I have been in lot worse whole in the wall. Went here to see what the hype was all about. When you entered from the back, you get hit with a funky smell that can't describe. But anyways the girl at the register was on point with customer service. The usually greeting and welcome. We did mention it was our first time to the restaurant, it would of been nice to recommend something but oh well. I ordered the house special burrito, on paper it sounded appetizing so said what the heck. When I started eating the burrito, it was very dry and the beans were not cooked all the way. Tasted like calk or tums, yes tums. I did not taste any creamy chipotle but it was dry. In fact the only thing that made the burrito tolerable was the green salsa which was on point. So I drenched my burrito with whole mess of it. The meat was very chew and the rice and meat was cold, don't know if that's how it is served. In my opinion if a restaurant is going to advertise House Special then you dam better be sure it's the best thing on the menu. Needs little bit work, put bunch of green sauce inside of it. Far as sitting and parking area, plenty of space back of the restaurant which is great that they have. I will definitely give this place another try with something else on the menu won't ride off the restaurant that easy.
What an absolute let down of a delivery order. My friend came into town and suggested we order from here. The burritos were awesome. Food was fresh and great. The order accuracy. TERRIBLE. They forgot half the order. Not sure what happened. Maybe the chefs were tired, or maybe just a simple mistake. They forgot the salsa, guacamole, and chips. We paid extra and sadly we tipped extra too. What a shame. Make sure you double check the bags and get the order accurate next time. Show some passion and dedication in your restaurant because 1 bad review can spread like wildfire. I suggest all customers and future ones to make sure you double check your orders and pick up delivery drivers double check the orders too.
