Wanted a breakfast burrito with bacon , was told they don’t serve bacon. So I order an Asada(beef) breakfast burrito which I never seen this combination before. Oh WoW Delicious. Very tasty and hot salsa .

We all have those restaurants that we would drive the 405 during rush hour for.... And Hugos Tacos takes it two steps above that. Not only is most of their menu Gluten Free (I have celiac).... They have Gluten Free CHURROS!!!! Ok.... So ur not gluten free or a vegan? Why should you go to Hugos Tacos? Did I mention that they have churros? But really, they are like if Chipotle had real Mexican food and more then just 2 menu items.

Delicious. The vegan mushroom nachos (in pic) and tacos were very flavorful. Out of all the vegan options, I thought the mushrooms were the best but the soy chorizo and potatoes were still good too.

This place offers great options for vegans. The employees are very nice and the food is great. If you ever have the chance I definitely recommend you Hugo’s Tacos.

Food and service always amazing! I have food allergies that are severe and it's the only place I can get a Burrito in town and the taqitos are always a huge favorite!!!! Staff is in a tiny box all day and manage to have a great attitude not an easy thing at all!!!

Update 12.5.25, things have changed. Carne Asada was very fatty. My tacos and my friend's were also very grisly and hard to eat. Hate to say it but def going to take a pause on tavod here Prior, positive review Carne Asada soft tacos are quite good with double tortillas to keep them together. Not huge, but lots of carne asada in each. I had 3

Great gluten free choices but quality is very lacking and they charge more than menu price. Maybe because its burrito discount Wed but don't be decieved by prices. Not worth the argument with not very friendly people. Pay 6.49 for chips and small cup of either sweet green salsa or super hot red. And $12 for a very small gluten free burrito that has flavorless asada. But the Churros are AMAZING!!! Next time I will try the gluten free chicken sandwich. Hoping thats worth it or I will only be stopping here for churros. Maybe they get away with this because there aren't many gluten free locations like it so celiac keep coming back

Potato tacos which used to be more like a sauteed vegan mash in a crunchy shell taco we're just diced potatoes thrown in... Pass. The french fries that used to be delicious were pretty much just burned and in a very small bag. Pass, pass, pass.

After tip , i spent $84 on 3 burritos, 2 drinks and 3 churros. Seems pretty steep for bland food and half way decent service. From now on the amazing GF Churros will be our only purchase

Im 53 male..Im a Taco person ive had Tacos in many different cities..And i must say for the price i expected better..$28.18 for 5 tacos and a coke..The tacos not good meat is to dry the totilla over cooked,not enough oniin and no cilantro..Very dissapointed..Will never go there again...Oh the only good thing is the Salsa..Very spicy i loved it.....👎

We just drove by Hugo’s Tacos in Atwater Village, so it made me smile when he said, “Let’s try it.” I had the burrito Al pastor. My friend a mushroom taco and a fish taco. The food was sooo bland and blah, just like the service. The outdoor eating area is unkept. My friend said he doesn’t like leaving bad reviews but “Hugo’s” Tacos was quite misleading.

No flavor. Got the fish burrito and asked to add sour cream and guacamole. The burrito is nothing but mush. No flavor. I’m chewing mush. Super disappointed and this is what the girl at the counter recommended 😔

Probably the worst I have ever had, cold burrito with the toughest beef I've ever tried to choke down. Even the bar tender apologize.
