After hearing raving reviews about Gourmet Cafe, we decided to stop in last night for dessert after dinner in town. Upon arrival, we were greeted right away and sat distanced appropriately from other tables, yet not by ourselves. It was just two of us, while a small party (6 or so people) was going on. That didn’t stop Sarah, our amazing server, from providing wonderful service though! She was very attentive and made suggestions on the dessert menu for us. The desserts were absolutely outstanding! We had a white chocolate pumpkin cheesecake and a vanilla cheesecake with fresh strawberry purée. We didn’t even know until after finishing them both that they were Gluten Free! I’ve never had a GF dessert that tasted so much like a “traditional” dessert! The house-made graham cracker crust was out of this world! This was our first time at Gourmet Cafe, so Sarah happily explained the weekly specials to us and gave us a menu to browse. We can’t wait to go back soon! I've been coming here for awhile now and I have never had a bad meal. My waiter Ethan is extremely attentive! The buffalo mac n cheese is outstanding! Be sure to get the make your pasta, cajun vodka sauce! BEST pasta in Glens Falls hands down!

Absolutely love Gormet Cafe! The pasta is soooooo good, portions are amazing and so much garlic bread it’s making my drooling talking about it! Aside from the pasta, I’ve never had a bad dish! From the Veggie burger to wraps, paninis and more you can’t go wrong! PLUS all the homemade desserts- if you have room!!!

Gluten free, able to order without butters, most things cooked in olive oil and you're able to have a safe meal if avoiding allergens. This is so important for people and there are few places that provide this kind of service!

Not often do you find a restaurant that you feel VALUED when you stop in. Our 1st trip was after the New Year & it was delicious. We all tried the Pasta Bowl to go. The options are incredible. Piping hot when I got home. The team is very professional but what makes it feel Amazing is they treat you like family when you stop by. Always a smile...under that mask but I know it’s there. Ps...the Cajun Alfredo & Buffalo Alfredo are delicious & both can be made spicier if you would like. Thank you for making our dinners delicious. Looking forward to next time.

Heard many good things about GC and we finally got the chance to go there for lunch. Easy 5 ⭐ star review, because you get what you pay for, and the food is fresh and delicious and well cared for. Soups, salads, panini all excellent. It's like home cooking with great ingredients and no fuss. Staff super friendly too so don't hesitate.

Love this family owned local restaurant! They have a gluten free menu and gluten free cheesecake!!! They also make their own gluten free rolls for sandwiches etc. Waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Lots of great gluten free options. Not your run-of-the-mill salads either!

All of the food that I have had here so far has been delicious. They put a lot of thought and effort into their gluten free menu and they make the best gluten free pizza in the area by far. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy.

We came here on a Friday. I had the all you can eat pasta special. The chef had 40 sauces, meats, fish, vegetables and pastas to choose from. The food was some of the best pasta dishes I've had, and the chef took the time to recommend different pairings of sauces with what I chose. The other person in my party has Celiacs and needs to eat gluten free. She ordered the pizza. She's been eating gluten free for 6 years so far, and this was the first time she ate pizza that tasted like real pizza. I tried it and the pizza was delicious. She enjoyed it so much she bought frozen gluten free rolls to bring home with her. Highly highly recommend.

we were totally blown away with our experience! staff was incredibly sweet and tentative, i got the buffalo chicken mac n cheese with a side of mushroom soup and both were absolutely delicious. for dessert, all cakes are fresh and homemade and taste like it too! we got the chocolate devils food fudge cake, vanilla cheesecake, and a chocolate cappuccino torte, and all were amazing. we will most certainly be back the next time we’re in glens falls.

I absolutely adore the Gourmet Cafe. I go here whenever I can, and I have tried many of the different items on their menu, and I have yet to find something I did not like. The staff has gone out of their way many times to make sure my wife can eat there with her celiacs, and I cannot express how grateful I am for that. Highly recommended.

If you’re able to go to the Gourmet Cafe while in Queensbury.. do it! If you’re able to get the create your own pasta. OMG it’s the best. It honestly doesn’t look like much when you walk in. It’s a small place.. but the food is fantastic and service was great.

A group of 5 ladies stopped in for early dinner after a great show at the Charles R Wood theater! What an amazing show and an amazing hidden gem of a cafe! We had a great meal. It was a Thursday and Thursday is pasta night.we had no idea what to expect but our server Mandy was awesome. She walked us through it all we all got cards to fill Out with our names and then the lists of veggies to pick I think 3 of them then meat we got to pick 4 from a list of about 10. Then the sauce 2 or 3 from a list of about a dozen then pasta a list of 8 including freshly made homemade fettuccine!. OMG! Came with salad or soup and most delicious house made garlic bread. Mandy outdid herself in taking care of us. She was so perfect . If you’re out and about in downtown glens falls and looking for a great little spot for some great good and service the gourmet cafe will not disappoint! Wish I could give it more that 5 stars. During the LARAC festival I came to the restaurant for lunch with a developmentally disabled companion. We were greeted warmly and the server really took the time to talk to my companion who was enthusiastically sharing that it was their first time there. The server assured us that it would not be our last. On a very busy day the food was remarkably delivered promptly and with a smile of kindness. The food was enjoyable and as a vegan the Mediterranean salad was the best I've had in the Glens Falls area and at a fraction of the price compared to all other establishments in the area. As lunch was cleared my companion stated to the server they were right - we will be back LOTS! :-) What really warmed my heart and made me a forever fan of this place was when I had to use the rest room my companion was nervous about being left alone in their wheelchair. To which the staff noticed, in spite of clearly being straight out serving others with the same charm, told my dining guest that they could hang out and talk to them while I was away. When I returned shortly thereafter my companion was talking to the staff as if they were old friends. It is so refreshing to find value, quality, pride in products and best of all served up with a heaping helping of compassion!

Driving back from upstate ny, stopped by here for a quick bite. They have so many great options. They have a gluten free menu also. My friend got Caesar salad and I got a spinach portobello, artichoke panini. Great food and our waitress was really nice.

I’m from Michigan and came into town visiting my sister. Best gluten free menu I have seen in a long time! They really care to make delicious GF food. The turkey, apple, cranberry panini was awesome and the desserts also!

They have an entirely gluten free menu which was a huge plus for me! The tarragon turkey bacon club was the tastiest sandwich I've ever tried. And it was on homemade gluten free rosemary focaccia bread. The potato salad and chips were just an added bonus!

Gourmet Cafe is a great local restaurant! We went for Friday night all you can eat pasta! The owner and chef is incredibly nice and helps you create a personalized and very tasty pasta dish! He mentions he can prepare over 30 sauce's, but doing the math it has to be more than that!!! I highly recommend visiting for Friday night pasta night, local family friendly restaurant.

Gourmet Café in downtown Glens Falls is the best place to go for gluten-free food. They have a dedicated gluten-free menu amazing gluten-free desserts and the chef makes a rosemary bread that is gluten-free and just superb. Can’t say enough about this reasonably priced restaurant for gluten-free dining. That said, if you like pasta, Gourmet Café has a pasta bar for you and, you guessed it, they have gluten-free pasta, if you need it. I come for the desserts, which are outstanding, the rosemary paninis and the pizza, and you should too! PS. The french fries are cut from actual potatoes.

Your waitress Beth was wonderful. My friends teenage daughter cannot have gluten and Beth helped her choose the best food for her. She took great care to make sure every food my friend had was gluten free. Besides that she was attentive and a wonderful waitress.

​I discovered the Gourmet Cafe on a quiet evening as the hostess was placing the menu board outside. The dining room was simple and unpretentious, giving off a pleasant, personal feel. The experience started with a warm welcome from the server, Mandy, who personally recommended a Pinot Grigio for my meal—a fantastic touch for someone exploring wine pairings. ​Mandy was equally impressive: wonderfully attentive, composed, and friendly. ​I ordered a half portion of the Penne alla vodka with chicken, which was generous enough to be a full meal. It arrived with perfectly toasted garlic bread and had a lovely aroma. The dish delivered on every level: the pasta had a great bite, the sauce was tangy (thanks to the sun-dried tomatoes) and creamy, and the chicken was incredibly tender. The owner's wine recommendation was spot on, as the Pinot Grigio enhanced the creaminess of the sauce beautifully. ​It was the kind of meal that makes you lean back in your seat to savor every bite. While a few stray flies were near my table by the door, it was a minor note in a delicious and pleasant experience. Learning it's a 'mom-and-pop' operation made perfect sense given the personal service and neighborhood feel. It’s a true gem.

We rode our bikes from Lake George to Glens Falls and chose Gourmet Cafe due to the Google reviews. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious - We had the turkey panini (on a wrap) - yum! The highlight of our lunch was Tiffany, our server. I hesitate to use the word server because she made us feel as if we were at a friend's house for lunch. She was so pleasant, helpful and made us feel very welcome. 5 Stars for sure!

Had walked by many times, we finally went in! On the way out the diners leaving told us GREAT FOOD here. He was correct! Many different menu items to select from and we were assured all of it, including the cold cuts and soups were made in house. And highly recommended the gluten free breads. Started with the tomato soup and a crab bisque. Amazing flavor and both were excellent. Had the Tarragon Turkey wrap. Side of red potato salad. Also excellent and very tasty. Mean Max IPA as the beverage. Nice selection of wine/beer. Our server was a rock star, Mandy! We chatted about all the menu items and plenty of other food discussions. She's a real foodie and so NICE! Will have to go back again! As all the others have mentioned. this is Gluten Free Heaven menu choices. Took the Pasta night menu so that's the next visit hopefully. LOOKS amazing.

Ok, this is not a swanky high dollar restaurant, but never in our travels around the Northeast have we found a place that caters so thoughtfully as the Gourmet Café to those who require gluten free options. The server, who was super friendly and attentive - and tireless; she was the only one working the floor on this Saturday afternoon - brought me the regular menu *along with* their special gluten free menu, *without me even asking for it*! I don't need gluten free but my partner who does felt immediately right at home, and could relax. Great touch. Everything delicious (see my photos) and was served on porcelain, and the view of Main Street, downtown Glens Falls, is very pleasant.

We went for the special food bar on Friday. It was crowded, and the wait in line to have food prepared was long. It was good, but not worth the $20.00 it cost. It was a unique experience, because you get to choose your pasta and among many toppings. But standing in line you really don't have a chance to think about it. I would suggest you look up the menu online and write your choices down ahead of time.

Were were really excited to come for dinner, as everything sounds so good. Showed up on a Saturday about 8pm. Closed, lights off. I hope they update their Google hours which say they are open until 9pm. We're aren't from the area and came here because of the gluten free menu for my son. Maybe we will try again another day while we are on our vacation.

For those of you looking for gluten free, this could be a good place for you. Our meal was acceptable but nothing spectacular. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive.

The gf food is really delicious however the last 3 times I've been there I've been very ill afterwards. It was fine last year but I would suggest if you have Celiac, stay clear. It seems to have become gluten light.

Went for my birthday and get a salad and pulled a hair out of my mouth that was about a foot long. Told the waiter and he says i don't know who's hairs that is. Handled very awkwardly then I said I'm leaving and he acted like he had no idea what was going on. Was looking forward to the pasta night but that was a turn off.

Very upsetting experience tonight. My husband and I have been to Gourmet Cafe many times.Tonight I ordered the chicken salad with pears and walnuts for my entree. I ate from one side of the salad plate and was enjoying it very much however as i started to eat from the other side of the plate there were several live bugs running around my salad. I didn’t know what they were! I covered my plate with my napkin as I didn’t want to disturb the people sitting at the table right next to us. We called the waitress over and showed her she said oh their just fruit flies I’ll take your plate away and take it off your bill like it was no big deal. Waitress didn’t seem very concerned perhaps this happens on a regular basis I’m not sure but I order salads in my many restaurants and this has never happened to me before. How did the person making my salad not notice multiple live bugs on the lettuce or fruit! Disgusted!!

I live in town here and in my past experiences any married couple running the Restaurant the wife seems to be personal and judgemental. Drives business away. I ordered a take out meal and it was a quarter of the portion I usually got. I usually get three meals out of it. I nicely said something to the " wife" of the business, and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. She was rude, and never honored the mistake. Now, because I brought this to her attention. She continues to harass me and give me dirty looks when she sees me. Very unprofessional. The food is overpriced, and never the same. The girls that work there make the place. Love them. As far as harrassing customers because of a complaint and away from the business will be brought to another level. Save your money. Respectfully, Jane and Stella
