The food is delicious. Great breakfast burritos, tri-tip sandwiches, and the biggest almond croissant I’ve ever seen. The older woman is also incredibly friendly. Great local spot and I couldn’t recommend it more!
Nice authentic Mexican bakery that also serves delicious and tasty Mexican food. It’s a small shop a little off the beaten path but it is very much worth the effort to get there. The customer service is friendly and personal and prices are modest. I’ve tried the pork tamales which were delicious and the tri-tip sándwiches which were also wonderful. It is located on Aero Caminó road just past Casey’s Garage and there is plenty of free parking. Give this local new business a try. You will not be disappointed.
Absolutely love this place! Everything is amazing. Tamales and sandwiches are my favorite. My son loves the chocolate croissants and my husband orders the breakfast burritos for his work. The pan is fresh and soft Excellent service, delicious food!
Best place in L.A.! The tamales are just wonderful. Service is helpful, courteous, and kind. Prices are good too. Highly recommended!
Ordered two tortas here, Cubano and millenasa. Both were excellent, millenasa was very spicy, but very fresh and well made. Cubano was the best I've had. Also got concha for desert. Also well done. They are just an order pick up bakery, (no seating), but easy to find- where all the cars were parked. Small line at 1:30. Will go again, soon.
The burritos are heavenly. In a time of rising prices and mediocre food, Cristino’s burritos have delivered joy everytime.
This place is amazing! Sandwiches, Tamales, Cookies, Danish, bread...so good. I haven't tried the donuts yet, but I am sure they are tasty too. I have experienced them adding something new to the menu, and getting better with practice. The Croissants, both plain and chocolate, are heaven. These are not your grocery store and Costco grade, these now remind me of Croissants I tasted in Niagara on the Lake, Canada. You know, French heritage, but better than what I had in France! Soft inside, almost chewy outside, melt in your mouth goodness. And the service is terrific. Everyone is so nice, and want you to be happy.
Ordered and they offered 30 minutes to have it done. Arrived and they still hadn't had the order completed 30 minutes after they offered to have it done . Won't be ordering here again. Please add a reply button for when the owner replies. Your order taker gave me a 30 minute pick up time at time of order of 6:10 am this would be 6:45 ish. I told her it's ok ill be there at 7 am. She said ok we will have it ready and even when I went in to pay for it she apologized for it not being ready so please get your facts correct.
i’ve been going here almost the entire time i was in santa barbara for school and have loved it every time. the jalapeno bagels, tortas, and various pan dulces in particular are amazing. in addition to the food, the staff is crazy generous and always so so nice. would def recommend this place to anyone looking for good food in santa barbara, i will forsure be missing going here
i received these sandwiches from a catered event so i cannot speak on price. i had the tri tip, chicken, and veggie sandwiches. All of then were phenomenal, even when i ate them 2 hours after serving. Might be the best sandwiches i’ve eaten.
The burritos and horchata are so good!!! My first visit I got the chorizo burrito, horchata and some of their bread. It was excellent 👌 My second visit I got one of their tamales and horchata. They were good, but would ultimately recommend the burritos the most! (definitely try the horchata if you can)
I’m an international student from China, but I LOVE Mexican food and drink so much even more than Chinese food! Cristino Bakery is definitely my favorite place to get fed well. I love all the food they provide, especially avocado&egg burrito, Torta Cubana, tacos de birria, tamales, chicken chipotle sandwich, conchas, guava turnover, cheese cake, galleta de boda…and so many pan dulces I cannot name. Their horchata is always the best I’ve ever had after I tried so many places in California. The staff there are also very friendly and caring, ALL GOOD PEOPLE! I’m moving to NYC in fall, and Cristino Bakery is absolutely my most unforgettable memory in SB!
I had their guava empanadas and they just like Porto’s (famous LA bakery) highly recommend.
The bread is very tasty best bolillos! The lady that helped me I did not catch her name but she was so kind. I forgot my bread on the counter and she saved it for me. It was one of those days.
WHAT A GEM!! You may be surprised at the location... don't be! The owners are delightful! The food and choices, exquisite! We required some breakfast food for a flight eastbound on a Sunday morning. They're located 3 minutes away from the SNB airport. And the price (in today's market for fresh food) was exceptional. Our compliments!
Their food is great! Especially the salsa. However, the greatest thing about this place is the staff. They’re all so friendly and I can tell they like their jobs and helping people eat and order great food. They’re accommodating to any request I’ve had and they aren’t annoyed when you ask questions or advice on what to get!
Don’t miss this Goleta gem! Although it’s a bit hidden, it’s one of the best bakeries anywhere. Go early — they already had a steady stream of customers at 7:30am. Too many superlatives to list. But I will say the almond croissants and mini cheesecakes were absolutely amazing and unlike anything I’d had before. I also enjoyed the fact they were not over-the-top sweet. Their fresh orange juice was frothy and delicious. And although tamales weren’t the first thing I thought of for breakfast, they really hit the spot. Of course, the friendly service made it even better.
The tamales and chorizo breakfast burrito were amazing! They serve warm and hearty breakfast along with good cheer. They are the most hapitable bakery I’ve ever been in and the owner knows all her customers and tells them they are “an asset “ to their places of employment. What a way to start a work day!
The best hole in the wall bakery I found lately. Totally delicious burritos and setup. St. Barbara pricing but still on the lower end. Very good foot and friendly service. Kinda weired neighborhood but worth the drive for the sweets and breakfast selection. Check the pics and look at the selection. Definitely flavorful and handmade.
I’m in love with the proprietor. That said, the food is terrific and I was surprised at how much I also loved their coffee.
The food was great and the almond croissant was off the charts. The owner is an absolute sweetheart as well. 10/10 recommend
The other reviews are not playing. This place is truly amazing. I enjoy all types of food including high end and would choose this place any day of the week over places like The Lark and Flor De Maiz in Santa Barbara which cost 20x the price. The tamales are something like an abuela that loved you before you were even born would make. Melt in your mouth delicious, especially with the multitude of green/red sauces that come with it. The tacos were so good I literally caught myself moaning when eating them. This is the type of home made food with love that you only find in rare corners of Mexico or the nostalgic memories of your distant past. Other than the food, the staff was an absolute delight as well. You can tell Claudia is a special person that deserves all the good in life - she radiates positivity, tells you about the way they make their food, and even took the time to teach me about an unique place in Mexico called Santuario Chincua - Mariposa Monarca (definitely worth visiting). The world needs more people like this which spread love through their food and attitude. If I lived in the area I would eat this every day, 10/10. I'll be sure to visit every time I return to the area.
My son took us to Cristino’s Bakery for lunch while we were visiting him, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was! The service was great — the person who helped us was super nice, polite, and gave us great suggestions. We tried the carne asada torta and the adobado burrito, and both were delicious. Definitely a place we’ll visit again!
Lorena and her team were AMAZING!! We hired Cristino's for an event at our school and everyone raved about the food (tamales, beans, rice, horchata, agua de jamaica, and pan dulces). The service was equally as exceptional. Lorena and Cristino came and set everything up; it looked incredible. They were the best partners and so fun and easy to work with. Can't wait to work with them again, and highly recommend!!
Try the weekend special - Birria tacos and consome — its too die for! Best tacos I’ve had in a long time. I especially loved the melted cheese between the tortilla layers and the fresh chopped onions. Big portions too, so great for sharing ; ) My daughter and I gobbled these up.
To say that this place is delicious is such a disservice since it's more than that. No regular adjectives begin to describe the flavors. I have been looking for the ultimate Mexican food joint and am happy to say that this place is it! I had their tamales, que ricos. Only my abuela can come close to them. Do yourself a favor, take the drive and order your food from here.
Incredibly nice staff and one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots!! My favorite is the chicken taco salad!!
Cristinos is THE SPOT! I always get the breakfast burrito with bacon and added avacado, and it has never failed to hit the spot. Come here hungover for the ultimate cure.
Amazing breakfast burrito strong coffee and many pastries to choose from. I broke Camp early at El Capitan and Google only showed me corporate establishments when I searched. I drove towards Santa Barbara and made a search when entering Goleta and this popped up. Is anyone else noticing that local mom and pop businesses don't always pop up on Google sometimes? Anyways they have lunch selections too. Three different types of salsa. Very fat burrito and good prices! You can also order takeout online for pick up to go.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Lorena as the cake baker for my wedding on June 17, 2023, and I must say, she exceeded all expectations. Lorena's cake was not only beautiful but also incredibly delicious, leaving everyone in awe of her talent. The cake itself was a strawberry tres leches, and it was the epitome of perfection. The balance of flavors was impeccable, with just the right amount of sweetness. Each bite was a delightful experience, and it left everyone craving for more. Even my cousin, who happens to be a professional baker herself, was stunned by the exceptional quality of the cake. Throughout the process, Lorena was incredibly helpful and attentive. She listened carefully to our preferences and made excellent recommendations based on her expertise. She ensured that every aspect of the cake aligned with our vision for the wedding, going above and beyond to create a masterpiece that perfectly complemented the overall theme and atmosphere of the event. Everyone at the wedding was blown away by the cake's taste and appearance, and it became a delightful centerpiece of the celebration. Many of our friends and family couldn't stop talking about how incredible the cake was, and it was undoubtedly a highlight of the evening. I cannot thank Cristino's Bakery enough for their exceptional work and for making our wedding day even more memorable. If you're looking for a talented cake baker who will deliver beyond your expectations, I wholeheartedly recommend Lorena.

Wow! What delicious sandwiches! I got the chicken bacon and the hubby got the tri tip to go and both were tasty. Thanks for a terrific lunch!
Incredibly friendly and cheerful staff, and fantastic food! I've had their tacos, tortas, tamales, alambre and various items from their bakery. Every single item was delicious and flavorful. It's take-out only. I will definitely be visiting this delightful bakery again! Highly recommended.
The best place to get food in all of Santa Barbara and their tamales are the best I have ever eaten in my life and they’re super cheap
This is a fantastic little restaurant! The food is so tasty. The service is fantastic.
This place was the best food we had on our trip to Santa Barbara. If I could leave more than five stars I would. The pastry’s were amazing and so was the champurrado. Chilaquiles were some of the best. Tamales were perfect and had amazing filling. The staff was so kind and helpful. Overall amazing experience and food.
The two women that work the front desk were awesome nice amazing sweet and to make the experience even better. The food was amazing. It’s not like you’re gonna sit down to eat your breakfast burrito cause there’s nowhere to sit. But I guarantee you’ll like the food. And the pastries are great as well. Christino’s is a hidden gem. And they’re open until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday night.
Very delicious food! The people are friendly too. It's take out only so I always call ahead.
This place puts out unbelievable authentic food. The burritos, tamales, tres leche, tri tip, bacon cheeseburger, breakfast sandwich (jalapeño bagel :-)), and others are best in Santa Barbara county and it’s not close. I’ve lived here 20 years and this is what it’s all about out. If you love food, do yourself a favor and make a trip to Cristino’s Bakery.
Extremely fresh tasting breakfast burrito with a perfect ratio of ingredients. You can really tell they care about their product.

Very cozy and welcoming almost like we were visiting family. The Mexican pastries are amazing, and we happen to be lucky enough to go on taco Tuesdays love that carne asada taco and the salsa tasty stuff . Do yourself a favor and stop by
Got veggie sandwich. It was fresh with onions, lettuce, grape tomatoes and sprouts. Bread was fresh. Got maple and chocolate donuts as well and they were also tasty. Didn’t like butter croissants much. They were giant but kind of tasted sweet.
Very enjoyable. Food is very fresh and delicious. Great service but expect to wait while your food is prepared. Only drip coffee here, no milk alternatives but it's nice and drinkable. Last visit I had a yummy breakfast burrito with salsa, a cheesecake type muffin and a big cup of coffee with half and half and cinnamon. Will be back for more. Esp want to try their flan. They had run out, so next time!

While visiting Santa Barbara i found Cristino's bakery for a breakfast sandwich. Firstly, staff were super friendly. It was pretty good. Some how they neglected to charge me for the cheesecake i asked for so that was disappointing. I was really looking forward to it. They didn't give me a receipt so i didn't know that until i got back to my hotel and no cheesecake. Had they given me a receipt i would have known that. The classic turkey was just ok. Wished they gave me salsa for the breakfast sandwich. *The new gal that ran the food out to my car was NOT the person that helped me. The lady that was training her was the one that helped me so it wasn't a matter of training or being new. Just mentioning this for clarification not to point fingers.
I had this place on my Tacos in Town list to try. It's probably great for this somewhat industrial area to have a place to grab lunch, but for us it was out of the way to make it someplace we'd be returning to. Tacos were just alright. It's to-go only, with no place to sit outside.

Tacos were okay, pastries looked great, but were mid and fairly dry. Good place to visit, but seems more about the catering and doesn't come close to a 4.8 stars
i asked if the bread is fresh made every day and they toll me yes! and honestly it wasn't is not fresh made a least half of them is not the first time that it happened to me if is not fresh is totally fine but a least have to be honest and tell you the true and you decide if you buy it or not , and the charged you as a fresh bake bread not cheap , is not soft at all
First time going there everyone told me that it was good. It was great. The food is the best part this a that so I went today. Got their special bacon cheeseburger took a bite which it was all lettuce took another bite into the burger, and it was mushy and soggy not fully cooked frozen patty and you guys called us your special. I’m srry but I guess all it take is one time
I decided to get a tres leches cake with peach filling for a birthday celebration recently after eating one from this place last year and loved it. This time around it was a complete disaster. The price went up and the decoration I wanted couldn’t be made but I was able to compromise with it. Anyways was told I had to be there at 1:45pm for pick up, and received a call from one of the owners Lorena to ask if I can come by at 3:00pm instead as she was busy with another event. I ended up coming in at 3:05pm and when I got there, the cake was still not ready and Lorena, the owner was still decorating the cake. The cake ended up being ready by 3:30pm. Anyways, when it came time to eat the cake, it was completely dry and the borders of the cake were burnt. Also in the middle of the cake, there was a piece of cake missing. I called the following day and the owner wasn’t there, was able to get a hold of her until Monday. I told her everything, she did not believe me when I told her that a piece of cake was missing when we cut in the middle of it even though I had a picture to prove it. She said that because she is in charge of doing the cakes and she knew no piece of cake was missing. Even though I reiterated that I had the picture to prove so. Lorena, one of the owners told me she would give me a partial refund which they never did. This cake was badly done for $60 that I paid for it. I will no longer be buying anything from this place.
