Frog Bar and Grill

I have been to the Frog many times for events and special occasions. My last visit was for Valentine's Day. They had a very nice Prix Frixe dinner with or without wine pairing for each course. Insurance Professionals of Santa Barbara hold their annual golf classic at Glen Annie and the Frog caters the dinner. They also cater the annual legislative update for the South Coast Homeowners Association appetizers. Chad, the bartender is fantastic.

It is now called the Patio bar and grill. We had a delicious dinner, outside, overlooking the golf course. The chef came at the end to ask for our input.

Visited on Sunday for car show . Food was good not a large selection of items but the Cheese Burgers and Hot dogs were very good. Little disappointed no chips or French fries for the kids.

Incredibly nice views, cool ocean breeze made it nice under shade of patio umbrella even though it was an 85 degree plus day. Lunch menu food is good. Service a bit slow but hard to complain having to sit around a bit extra at such an awesome location.

Went for a club meeting on a beautiful sunny day. The outside patio is a comfortable place to watch golfers and enjoy the scenery. The food was well cooked including the vegetables that were not overdone, and the service was efficient and unobtrusive.

The venue was rented out, so I'm not sure what it's like to just come and sit down to eat or have a drink.

Great cheese burgers can be had on the turn. Sit down restaurant is excellent for after round dinner with friends and family, all in a beautiful setting. A great place for weddings or private parties.

We have been here for a large catered event several years running. The food and service is always very good. And, you can't beat the beautiful views, especially at dinner time when the sun is setting.

The banquet food at the Frog Bar & Grill is of very mixed quality. My sisters, brother, and I hosted an anniversary party for my parents at this lovely location and it appears that the quality control is non-existent. Also, the person in charge of organizing our event was hard to get a hold of and created some frustration for us. We had a pecan dessert served in a pastry fried in rancid or old oil, and the prime rib was the toughest I've ever had and others complained as well. One guest complained of feeling sick in the early morning hours following our event - likely the pecan dessert. The waitstaff was excellent, the location overlooking the Goleta Valley and ocean is beautiful, the creme brulee, salads were very good. I have also had lunch at the Frog Bar & Grill a number of times and have had a good experience. However, if you are bringing friends from out of town and having an important event, you are taking a risk.

$15 for a quesadilla and lunch access deal has been removed. Food was ok, but the prices are far too steep for a simple takeaway counter type of establishment. This is more than I would expect to pay at a sit down restaurant for a simple quesadilla sadly.
