Hicimos una parada para poder comprobar las buenas opiniones que leimos y bien merecida la fama que les caracteriza!! Desde que llegas, puedes observar en la calle el buen ambiente del lugar con mesas exteriores y ya dentro, aunque algo saturado de gente, pudimos disfrutar de un buen vino y una tapa de arroz de marisco con Atún buenísimo!. Destacar la excelente atención de un muchacho que nos atendió, siempre con mucha simpatía a pesar del volumen de trabajo que tenía. Muy aconsejable!!

Muy recomendable este bar, sobre todo si te gusta el marisco porque el pescado es fresco y buenísimo, pero lo que más me gustó fue el trato, fuimos sin reserva y la muchacha Nuria se llamaba, nos hizo hueco, también destaco el trato recibido por los camareros, Raúl y Miguel, súper apañaos, nos recomendaron la comida que pedimos y riquísima. Lugar para tomarse algo y comer, esta muy bien te ponen tu tapita por cada caña que pidas. El precio es muy cómodo, todo estaba muy rico, el hombre y la chica muy majos y nos invito a probar queso y todo. Recomiendo ir con antelación o directamente si se pudiera reservar suele estar lleno.

A very popular spot and for good reason. We got here pretty soon after they opened and was able to snag one of the remaining tables outside. Got two tapas with our drinks and ordered a fish of the day (we think, language barrier was a little hard) and some tomatoes because we were lacking vegetables on our trip. Luckily the fish also came with veggies and was a well rounded meal! The food was all really good and the drinks too, with generous portions. Pricing was not bad either. A great place to stop by.

They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. It's the kind of hospitality you can only wish for, and they deliver it effortlessly. With every drink you get a free tapas so be careful if you’re ordering something else from the menu as the portions are generous. Whether you're there for a quiet drink or a fun night out, this place just gets it right. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart from a girl from Bosnia. It truly felt like a home, far away from home.

Small hidden-ish place in downtown central with great service and food. Went there for lunch with my friend who speaks Spanish, the owner/staff makes you feel like you are at your uncle’s home, very welcoming and recommending fresh dish and even showed you how fresh they are before cooking. We were slightly after 1pm on weekdays (luckily got a table) and the place is already fully packed by around 2pm! A must try if you are in town.

Delicious and beautiful mess! We had a memorable lunch here at Bar Provincias. We got a tasty paella once we ordered our beers, then we got a mouthwatering grilled octopus (must try) and the fried baby squids with the egg (a bit too oily). The staff is funny and contributes in creating a very welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Had our dinner here. Amazing and friendly stuff there. Many locals would enjoy a cup of beer so be aware it will be crowded. Delicious seafood, we ordered Huevos con chipirones and kokotxas. Both of great quality and really enjoyed the atmosphere there.

Fuimos a una hora del cierre y sin embargo comimos muy rico y fuimos bien atendidos. Las gambas al pilpil y el revuelto de alcachofas con chipirones, muy buenos! Te dan tapa con la bebida.

Nos recomendaron comer aquí y la verdad está en muy buen sitio, comimos fuera en la carpa cerrada, no sé molestaron en ofrecernos dentro del local, la atención y el servicio deja mucho que desear por lo menos el camarero que nos atendió. La comida muy buena, unas croquetas espectaculares y el revuelto de espárragos trigueros muy bueno, nos pusieron una tapa de migas con sardinas y otra de arroz caldoso. El remate fue cuando pagué el dinero lo puse en la bandeja y la vuelta se la dió a mi marido en la mano como por imposición, así que no dejamos propina por el detalle tan feo. Los platos me los pasaba por delante de la cara en plena conversación, detalle muy feo.

La comida rica y las tapas buenas. Estoy un poco indignado porque nos han cobrado cubierto sin avisar ni especificar en la carta que eso se debe cobrar. Hasta donde llega mi información, creo que es ilegal no avisar de tal cargo y cobrarlo. Me toca las narices que Granada esté cayendo también en la trampa de poner este tipos de suplementos para engañar al turista… Granada siempre ha sido muy característica por su gastronomía barata y buena y su gente auténtica. No la destruyamos.

Very rude service, so much so that I was tempted to ask for a refund of the price of the meal. There are many good restaurants to choose from in the area. Avoid this one.

Experiencia muy decepcionante y poco transparente. Fuimos a tomar un vermut y decidimos pedir un entrecote que en el menú figuraba con un precio de 24 €. El camarero nos lo recomendó insistentemente como “el mejor entrecote”, nos buscó mesa y nunca mencionó que el precio real fuese distinto ni que se tratara de un producto “premium”. Al llegar la cuenta, el entrecote aparecía cobrado a 60 €. Ante nuestra queja, tanto el camarero como el dueño justificaron el precio diciendo que era un entrecote premium, algo que en ningún momento fue informado previamente, ni estaba reflejado claramente en el menú. El trato, además, fue desagradable y poco profesional, con comentarios fuera de lugar por parte del camarero. Finalmente rebajaron el precio, pero aun así la sensación fue de abuso y engaño, especialmente hacia turistas. Las bebidas también resultaron más caras de lo habitual, incluyendo una manzanilla que normalmente se ofrece como cortesía. Una lástima, porque este tipo de prácticas dañan la imagen de la hostelería local. Recomiendo a otros visitantes extremar la precaución, preguntar precios exactos antes de pedir y no confiar únicamente en lo que figura en el menú.

La experiencia ha dejado mucho que desear. Nos gustaba mucho este sitio pero ha empeorado muchísimo. Las tapas ridículas y un pescado malísimo. A las 21:00 ya te están obligando a cenar, no sé para que, porque no les queda nada de la carta a las 21:30 de la noche un SÁBADO. No les quedaba secreto, flamenquín, ni gambas. Tardan en ponernos el plato de huevos rotos media hora, cuando ya hemos terminado de cenar, y encima lo traen mal, decimos que lo cambien, que no lo hemos pedido así y nos dicen que ya no queda. Pedimos media ración de puntillitas, 16€, y nos traen un plato de tapa con 5 puntillitas contadas. Supongo que también se les habrían terminado…. Eso NO vale 16€. Nos han estafado a nosotros, espero que no le pase a más personas. El vino estaba rico.

Well, it happened. Despite the warnings in other reviews, we fell hook, line, and sinker for the "ol’ special fish" tactic. We were offered a nightly special and told it would be 16 euros. Imagine our surprise when the bill arrived and that single 250g fish had apparently gained 44 euros of value in the kitchen, clocking in at an eye-watering 60 euros. I’ve seen cheaper gold bullion. To keep things interesting, the bill also featured a "greatest hits" collection of things we never actually ordered, plus drinks that somehow cost more than the prices listed on the menu. When we questioned it, the waiter’s defense was basically, "Don't worry, we charge everyone for things they didn't ask for!" Which is certainly a... bold business model. It’s a real shame because the food was actually quite tasty, but the service feels like a total tourist trap. Do yourself a favor: read every line of your receipt, keep your guard up, and unless that fish is personally delivering a lottery win to your table, do not accept the 60 euro special.

I visited this restaurant and felt that tourists were treated differently from local customers. They offered a seafood paella with first drink, and I saw other tables receiving fried samples. When I asked for the same, the staff told me it only comes with the second drink. However, the guests sitting right next to me received the fried samples immediately when they arrived, so it was clear the information I was given was not true. Throughout my meal, they kept trying to upsell me shrimp and scallops. I ordered two scallops. please see the photo. One scallop was a normal size, but the other was much smaller and didn’t look like the sample they showed. When I received the bill, I understood why they pushed the seafood so aggressively: they charged €6 per scallop, so I paid €12 for just two. Later that evening, I visited another restaurant where the same type of scallops were 2 for €5. Overall, the experience felt misleading and unfair to tourists. I hope they can improve transparency and provide consistent treatment to all customers.

Food was okay but they didn't tell us they serve service tapas so we ordered three plates, one of which was the same dish as the service tapas(quite annoying). Would've been a better experience if they'd told us they serve service tapas, and that the dishes we ordered could be more than we think. We'd ordered 'carne de la casa' and it seemed like the tables around us received 'carne de la casa' as their service tapas thanks to us. So we got a small plate of carne de la casa as service tapas and a big one because we'd ordered it 😂. I understand they're main goal is to sell but after experiencing other bars and restaurants, I can't help but feeling that they took us as fools who know nothing. I regret spending so much on their tapas, so we left a lot, which was a waste of food and money! Make sure to order only drinks and wait for the service tapas and order dishes only when you need to. A thing you need to know as tourists.
