The service here is above and beyond. Our server, Carolis, is very lovely and friendly. We had a good time here.
We came here for a special menu night - A Taste of Asia. We were welcomed with a complimentary sangria upon entry. We didn’t get to try the food off the main menu but I’m sure it was just as good as the special menu because the restaurant was packed, especially with large parties. The setup was very nice with sheer drapes separating some of the larger tables for a private feel. We had wonderful service from our waiter, Prasanth. He was very attentive an friendly. The visiting chefs did a fantastic job. Every dish was delicious. My favorite was the Tom yum soup. It was packed with deep flavors. One of the best Tom yum I’ve ever had. Our waiter told us the visiting chefs were actually Thai and Nepalese who prepared the special menu.
We were lucky to get a table for their Sunday “Wanderlust Brunch” and this was a BRUNCH! There were various buffet stations that included charcuterie table, international dishes of the day, sushi, seafood, American breakfast items, raw seafood, desserts, bubbles, and more! We had the package at 85 KYD. You can literally be there from 12-3pm. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
The breakfast here is amazing! We walked over here for breakfast at the recommendation of our friends and it did not disappoint! The buffet is where it's at. They have so many unique options for all different types of food fares. Fresh fruit, omelettes, Mediterranean food, middle eastern style breakfast food, meats, yogurts, smoothies, cheeses, pastries, etc. There's so much to choose from. We brought our four children and it was well worth it. Would highly recommend!
Lobby restaurant in the Marriott, classy and casual. Eclectic mix of cuisines, from Argentine Asado to Spanish tapas to Japanese sushi. There is sometimes live music, and breakfast is also good. A little pricier than local restaurants, but if your staying nearby, it’s convenient. Fantastic cocktails, too.
Always a great dining experience. The cocktails and food are always enjoyable and amazing quality. The desserts are divine and a good treat. The service is impeccable and they always ensure you are taken care of. Definitely my favorite brunch spot on island.
Had a wonderful Christmas dinner at Anchor & Den! The grilled octopus was very well cooked and the accompanying ingredients of radish, potato, and parsnip all worked so well together. My husband really enjoyed the Seafood Black Rice Paella. He said the rice was moist and extremely flavorful. The crepe soufflé was so light and delicious! The ice cream had a tart cheese flavor and then the lemon sauce was tangy and delicious…perfect finishing touch. For drinks, I had the mocktail stormpoint which was really not great. It just tasted like a $15 small glass of juice with ice. The virgin mojito was much better and literally more than half the price. Amazing service and knowledgeable staff!
Great hang out on a Friday night with special cocktails and live DJ music. Fabulous food bundled with great service which makes it always enjoyable to come here, especially when it’s too hot and humid or rainy outside, this is THE place to come & chilax! The Ramens here are probably the best in town, a must try!
We had breakfast at anchor and den. The service and atmosphere were great. The peach Bellini was the best we have ever had. The huevos rancheros was good. The Continental buffet was very fresh and had a large selection.
Very nice place, food was over the top, so delicious, the drink was good. My server was very friendly, the music was as good and relaxing. I order a Rum Brulee for Drink, For Food My BF order the Black Rice Shrimp Paella and I order the chicken Pad Thai. Everything was very good.
Restaurant located in the lobby of the Marriott Beach resort. I was greeted and seated promptly. For cocktail, Bloomberry Garden; refreshing For starter, Tuna Tartare; great choice!, Fresh and very tasty My main course, the Homemade Ravioli; well balanced flavors and a good portion for 1 person. For dessert, Salted Caramel Ice cream Jar; Yummy. Pleasantly surprised with this hotel restaurant, I heard they are known for a great Sunday brunch.
This is the best-kept secret of this hotel. The service is spectacular and each bartender is very knowledgeable, super friendly and loves to talk with the guest and providing the best service. I cannot say enough how amazing were Bojan, Danny & Jordan. They are the best in their field. I will go back to the hotel to spend time with those guys at the bar. They are the star of the bar and please give them a good reward for their work because they really are the BEST. The whole team of servers is AMAZING. Food and Sushi were incredible. Love Anchor & Den
My first time here was truly something special. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was sensational. I had appetizers, main course and desert. My chef who went by the name Jykalli was over the top with the customer service and his sense of humor was one of a kind. Tuesday night was Arabic night, I enjoyed some of the succulent appetizers from the Arabic menu. He guided me on some of the top picks and he surely didn’t disappoint. I left with full and joyful! I’ll definitely be back again and again. I’d give my experience a hundred stars if I could’ve!
BAR REVIEW ONLY. While staying here at the Grand Marriott, my friend and I came to this bar almost once a day to grab a cocktail. The bartender Ara was our favorite—we always looked for her to make our drinks! Ara was so friendly and kind. Cocktails were great and the drinks presentation were picture worthy! This place seemed like the only bar that opened relatively late in the hotel. And on Sundays, their brunch is popping!
Oh my gosh. Some of the best food I've had in island. Absolutely worth a try! I wouldn't call it cheap, but it's not the most expensive on island either. $10 happy hour cocktails (they're artisan, and totally worth $10), amazing sharable apps, and high attention to detail from chefs and staff alike. Also, they have live music or dancers at times, which is fun for everyone!
Have gone for breakfast and dinner, and both were great! Very cool atmosphere, courteous staff, and good food. You can't go wrong.
Delicious !!!! And our waiter Madhul was super nice to us.
The atmosphere is very hip and trendy. The food selections are really up there; comparative to new New York City food. The prices also reflect this. Our server was really nice. The rolls they serve are awesome. There is a kids menu, which is very reasonable with big portions. The shrimp popcorn rolls were good as well as the Tuna Tower. The snapper was also very delicious.
A different take on Ravioli than I’ve had before, and so glad I tried it!! The Pork Belly was also really good. The staff is very attentive and helpful with recommendations.
Food was super good and the staff were very friendly and attentive! I’m glad we stayed at this resort as I think they have the best food options!
Great sushi . The ramen isn’t classic ramen but it was good . Great service . The ice cream layered in a mason jar was fabulous. Will definitely have it again .
Good restaurant option in the lobby of the Marriott hotel. The paella was excellent and our waiter Daniele was great. The other members of my party ordered the poke bowl (fantastic), the grain salad (good), and the short rib (excellent but smaller). On Thursdays, they also have live music - the man sang some Christmas songs and played the sax - fun but loud!
We came on tapas night (but they still have their regular menu and sushi menus available). We got a skirt steak (delicious) and a few small plates to share.
Excellent food and excellent service. Every dish we ordered was outstanding.
The to-go breakfast spread is beautiful and all the juices are freshly pressed. We would take our plates every morning and sit by the water. Very kind and helpful staff as well.
Enjoyed their Mad Tea Party very much. The Chef prepared Vegan sandwiches and deserts for me. Truly appreciated!
Nice ambiance. Pizza was delicious, although not spicy at all
It was awesome. The severs sang happy birthday and give my baby a slice of cake.
Very nice atmosphere and very nice oster, shrimp and crab bar. Great selection of mixed drinks. Especially like the London Green and Tonic!
Service was outstanding, especially server name Siva. He did great job of serving us.
This has been my favorite meal yet. Jimena was my server and she was such a delight. She was diligent to make sure that my food allergies were adhered to and made great recommendations. My favorite dish was the shrimps popcorn roll. It was so good that I could eat it daily. And for dessert I had the 7 mile fudge cake. The restaurant is located inside the Marriott Hotel. It is definitely worth a try. I plan to try their breakfast as well.
We were staying next door and walked over to this Marriott for almost every meal because the food is delicious!!! The staff is SO friendly and welcoming and took GREAT care of us! Our favorite server was SIVA as he always had a smile when we arrived and made us feel at home. They have some 'theme' dinner nights so be sure to check out what they have planned for the week. We enjoyed live music one evening while dining. Their breakfast buffet is probably one of the BEST I have ever had!!! This was my 3rd trip to the Caymans and this is one of our favorite places to eat!!
A treasure to this island. The atmosphere, food and drink quality, the familial feel and top-notch service of the staff make this place stand out among the rest. It’s my own paradise within paradise.
The Sunday Brunch is Amazing !! The best we have ever had !! Just wish we didn’t have a boat booked or we would have stayed longer to keep eating !
One of the most beautiful Marriotts I've been to. Anchor and Den has the most amazing drinks and FANTASTIC service. BHEY is the best bartender I've encountered in years and made our trip very rememberable. Cocktails were remarkable.
We just arrived today and decided on a simple meal for dinner and selected Anchor & Den. We were able to order sushi, delicious and so well prepared, grilled octopus, roasted beet salad, and their French onion soup! The sushi 🍣 portion was larger than expected and very tasty! The beet salad was super fresh and so good. Their French onion soup is top notch, love the hearty broth! The grilled octopus was a little scant but for the price it’s still a great appetizer. I’m sure we’ll be back during our week staying here in Grand Cayman.
Anchor & Den is a must when in Grand Cayman. The sushi is amazing and we highly recommend the ramen on Friday night! My father in law had a steak and he loved it as well. Just all around great menu and wonderful food. Besides the food, what makes this place most enjoyable is the staff, specifically Daniele! He was the nicest, most accommodating waiter we have ever experienced. Not just in Grand Cayman, but anywhere! He makes you feel like family and it makes you feel like you want to dine at Anchor & Den every night! Great food, great drinks, awesome staff and atmosphere. Just an all around amazing experience!
Anchor and Den never disappoints! I love their Saturday nights when different cuisines are featured. Their regular menu is also very good.
Our family ate there on a Sunday evening. We made reservations for 7:00 PM, but showed up early. The place is right off the lobby and is open and welcoming. Great vibe throughout the entire restaurant. The menu was well thought out and offered an eclectic offering of delicious bites. We really enjoyed all the appetizers and main courses. The food and cocktails were absolutely amazing! Our server was so friendly and attentive it was wonderful. There is nothing I would change about this place. Highly recommend!!!! You won’t be disappointed
so impressed! order the hummus and pita - never had anything better before. also the espresso martinis 🍸
Came here for Spanish night, was a little disappointing as the advertising for these themed nights made it seem like it would be a bigger event than it actually was. The meal however, was fantastic. We love us some octopus and this might be the best octopus we’ve ever had, it was also a hearty portion of it which was a really nice surprise as this is rarely the case.
lobster bisque incredible octopus is more like one leg with a lot of wet corn swordfish skewers bomb service lovely prices ok pay in cayman dollars nice for once shoutout to waiter who brought us bday cake nice vibes very nicely lit and good music
The staff was helpful and courteous. The food is prepared quite well. The atmosphere is good for interacting with people. It's a good place for a pit stop.
Great food and cocktails. I would go here to eat even when I'm not staying at the hotel. The sushi is good, and I also like to get the small plates to share. The star of the show is the chocolate cake. It is absolutely incredible. You must try it.
Solid food with a wide selection of international cuisine. The Iberico ham pizza was really good. Staying at the hotel, we ended up coming here multiple times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That said nothing was mind blowing and prices are steep (typical of Cayman Islands I guess). Worth coming if you’re staying at the hotel
An honest review - I Went there for a Sunday Brunch with my partner. We were very excited as this is one of the finest restaurants in Cayman. We reached there at 12:05 pm and it was already house full (Note: brunch timings 12 to 3). We opted for an alcohol inclusive (85 kyd pp) package. We got welcome drinks and ordered some cocktails (please note even though the package says inclusive alcohol but not all types of alcohol/cocktails are included). Then we went to the sushi bar which we loved it had one vegetarian option 4 seafood variety. The bar also had some crabs, shrimps, pork dumplings and some tempura chicken. Other than the sushi/seafood bar there were two more counters, one for steak, omelette and waffle and other had some breads, one fish, one chicken option. And obviously cheese and dessert counter (Both the counters were very basic. I personally did not like dessert at all, even though it had some complicated varieties of bakery but taste was not up to the mark) Overall it was a OK experience comparing the brand.. the cost and what was offered. I was expecting some more varieties of food (live counters, some local varieties of Cayman), alcohol and of course some tasty desserts. The total bill for two people including taxes was 200 kyd.
We didn't realize this was actually in the Marriott, in my experience hotel restaurants are really hit or miss. The service was great and the 'restaurant' had a nice, relaxing vibe, the food however wasn't as good as we'd hoped. We had the steak sandwich, the pepperoni pizza, the tuna salad, and the pita. The food was prepared well but overall just lacked flavor. Also the tuna seems like it came out of a can which is disappointing considering how accessible fresh fish is (we could be wrong about this but it had a similar consistency to canned tuna, it definitely didn't seem freshly prepared). We went for lunch so I'm unsure how it is for dinner, sometimes there's a big quality difference between lunch and dinner.
TLDR: Not good for vegans / plant-based people who have dairy allergies. Staff is kind, but ultimately unhelpful. Atmosphere: typical Marriott Resort niceness! Service: this is so hard because the staff are extremely nice (except if you're after 9PM). However, they are very stuck in following the "script." Asking anyone about vegan options (even though the menu has vegan marking options) is next to impossible. No one was willing to budge. We got into Cayman late our first night and were trying to get food at 9:40 (20 minutes before close). We are chill people, not demanding, and would have happily taken food back to our room. However, when we tried to be seated at their little "Asian popup" that actually had some vegan options, the staff grumbled to each other about how late we were and sat us in a corner with a menu that had no vegan options other than hummus. Even though we could see the other chef cooking noodles for another couple that sat 10 minutes before us. You can read my reviews, my wife and I are NOT the demanding type. We both worked in service and always try to treat everyone with the highest respect. This was sad to see from both a restaurant and a Marriott in general. Food: As such, over the three days we stayed at the Marriott, the food options ranged from vegan donuts (very tasty) one day, to literally NOTHING other than salad with no dressing. There was a tofu poke bowl we had for lunch once, but it was missing half the ingredients listed on the menu. For a hotel with this level of pricing ($600+ per night) and food priced in the same band ($30/plate), one would expect a kitchen that could provide more than one option a day. It was particularly sad because there were SO many cool events at the hotel including an Alice in Wonderland high tea we wanted to attend, but they just were unwilling to accommodate the vegans :(
I REALLY wanted to like this place because when you first walk in you are greeted by the cutest decorated restaurant with so many uniqueness to it. However, we went for there Ramen Night thinking it was going to be the best ramen on the island since it was marketed as such but omg....I couldn't even make it through 2 bites and I promise I really tried. There was zero flavor, the broth was thick and murky, the ingredients were not what you would see in a normal authentic ramen dish. It was just not good. I sent it back and just ordered the tar tar and that was much much better! I will note that if it hadnt had been my birthday they were going to make us pay for the ramen even though I sent it back after 1 bite. That was weird.
Running a special deal for restaurant of the month, Did not have 1/3 of the Main courses. Asked for a daiquri there is no blender for this. After our 1st bottle of sparkling water finished we asked for a second, however we were forgotten about with only 2 tables open.. Also there is no soft drinks choices on the Friday menu for some reason.
