Excellent and traditional Spanish cuisine and restaurant. We took so called long menu with 30 years old house reserva. Bottle has no label, but wax on the cork. Food was very good. Especially slow cooked lamb was delicious. I have nevet eaten so good lamb. All the best and blessings to every one, and specially to kitchen chef.
Excellent food and excellent service. We loved the slow cooked lamb shoulder and the artichoke and chorizo. Such a great restaurant and an excellent experience.
Me and my partner love lamb/ mutton so when I found this place I knew we had to go. The roast lamb leg did not disappoint although I felt that the portion was small compared to other tables. Matter of luck maybe? The lamb chops were small but very tasty. My favourite was unexpectedly the morcilla (blood sausage) and the vegetable stew which went well together. So good. The pour of a glass of red wine was very generous. As well as the curd sorbet which was a happy alcoholic ending to the meal.
As always, the perfect place for lamb. Everything excellent, the food, the service, the wines. Highly recommended!
One of the best meals of my life. My husband and I had a traditional menu which was sensational. Highly recommend++++
In a very traditional restaurant it’s best to stick with tradition. Four of us chose the pre fixe menu and upgraded to the Gran Reserve wine option - at €55 each it was a bargain. (A bottle of wine each for 2) In addition we couldn’t resist adding a plate of their sweetbreads (best ever) and delicious white asparagus. We definitely over indulged- but our long lunch lasted for 3 hours - so it was an afternoon very well spent in Haro. This is not fine dining - but good home style cooking refined over centuries. We loved it. PS the lamb is incredible.
Incorrect hours on Google Maps - they have a break midday. I’ve attached what is displayed at the restauraunt. Cordero Asado was superb! We received smaller portion than I’ve seen here but delicious nonetheless and so worth it.
The best lamb I’ve ever had! Simple food brought to an impressive level. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Haro. The staff was really friendly and attentive. This place is highly recommended
Nice lamb restaurant. One of the best lamb places I’ve eaten and lamb is not even necessarily my fav meat…
Lamb is the thing here and it is done very well. The service is friendly and efficient. They have their own bodega just behind in Las Cuevas but they also have an extensive Rioja wine list at prices which from a UK perspective seem very reasonable. We went on Monday night having popped in to book at lunchtime, it was full.
I have eaten at Terete numerous times over the years and the quality and consistency of their lamb is remarkable. A great place.
Simply spectacular! The most delicious roasted lamb, morcilla, and perfectly cooked veal T-bone. Awesome selection of wines. Great service.

Food was delicious! And staff was very knowledgeable on the food and wines. We enjoyed one of their own wines and it paired nicely with the dishes. There were also some vegetarian/vegan options available. I would have given 5 stars for athmosphere, but we sat outside where a lot of cars drove by very fast. It is not something the restaurant can do something about, but it was a bit annoying
Amazing restaurant. Jaime, the owner is an amazing chap, so proud and passionate of his work. Amazing lamb, great vegetables and fabulous house made aged wine. After diner, we even got to visit the underground cellars and they are astonishing. Thank you so much Jaime!
The Vina Christina Reserva brought us here. The price is on par with the food and wine. The traditional lamb was delicious and spoke for itself - great flavor and tenderness without additional spices or flavors. The rest of traditional menu food is very good as well. I recommend getting the carajillo to end the meal. Thank you to the staff for fitting us in, great service and the staff is very accommodating and hardworking. If you are in Haro it's a must visit and, of course, make sure to have the wine.

If you are in or around Haro in Basque region, change your route and eat here at the city center. You will enjoy extraordinarily good lamb here. Wines are good as well. An experience you cannot afford to miss..
Great traditional experience, good food and friendly service. Just take on mind the the pimientos are spicy, and if you don’t eat spicy at all, you won’t be able to eat them.

It is a beautiful place, with friendly service and food is well made. We ordered roasted lamb for four, 2 roasted chicken and one lamb fillet. The lamb portions were good with flavor but lacking in meat. They gave us too many ribs. Roasted chicken was tasty and also had mixed salad. The atmosphere and mood was rather dull and a bit boring. Service, although attentive could be better.
Went there on a Sunday and was able to get a seat without reservations. Most of the town is closed on Sundays so it wasnt too crowded. I got the lamb and sauteed veggies. The veggies were tasty but more like a stew. The lamb was well cooked but barely seasoned. They give you a packet of salt to season it yourself but it would be nice if it was seasoned well already as lamb needs seasoning to bring out the flavors. They do have half portions for the starters and the lamb price is per person. Overall not bad and price was okay but nothing to write home about.

Fun place. Only serves lunch. The beef was rib overwhelmingly large and lacked seasoning. We ordered it medium but was rare which was unappetizing. The specialty vegetable stew had an abundance of vegetable but lacked flavor.
Disappointed... We saw a YouTube video about the restaurant so we went with enthusiasm and expectations for a place with long tradition for cooking lamb. The first disappointment comes from the salad we ordered asparagus and tomato both half portion. We got 2 asparagus and 5 half slides of tomato, both served with only olive oil and vinegar. I would expect a restaurant of this kind of level to provide dishes which are a bit more elaborated than this... Then the lamb... In my opinion, it was not cooked long enough and I am not sure that they search for the best supplier. When the waitress was cutting the meat, we can already see her 'fighting' with the meat. So it was not the soft, 'falling of the bone' result that we were expecting. It was also not seasoned. A pack of salt was given to us to season it. However, lamb is a meat that should have proper seasoning during the cooking to bring out it's flavour. Again, very surprised about this for a restaurant which cooks lamb since 1877... We also ordered lechecillas and stuffed peppers. Both were good but small in portion.
