Fantastic sandwiches. I highly recommend Abbott's habit. A great combination of beef and cheese. You order at the counter but what is also quite nice is that if you stay there to eat they will bring your order to the table. I also enjoyed old Hayward photos hanging in the walls. Nice place to catch a quick bite

I need a quick, last minute lunch order for my executives and called to check on delivery times. I didn't have the app yet, so Brian took my order over the phone and deliver within 30 minutes! With excellent service and great, quality sandwiches, soups and salads, Erik's is my go to!

George was so helpful and kind to everyone who walked in - he brightened our day and the sandwiches were delicious!

This place was great! The food was good, service was pleasant, and I loved the pictures of old Town Hayward on the wall. But best of all is that they gave us glass jars for our drinks and served us on a real plate. No needless waste. Fantastic.

I really enjoyed this roadside cafe while waiting for my BART ride. It's a convenient and delightful meal on the edge of downtown Hayward. I recommend the butternut squash soup.

We've entrusted Erik's Deli to cater several of our events. Most recently, we requested they provide 25 box lunch meals on a very short timeline. The Erik's Deli team were more than happy to accept the order, super responsive, accommodated our special requests, and had our order done early! We couldn't ask for better service.

Only reason I dropped atmosphere is because it's in downtown Hayward. Brian one of the stores managers is great and an asset to the Eriks Delicafé organization. Haven't been to an Eriks in over a decade and they are still great!

They were really busy and my sandwich was accidently made wrong and I called to let them know. The manager Brian was so nice and cool he remade my sandwich and delivered it to my work. He is beyond customer service so awesome!! I will so be going back there.

No matter what kind of sandwich you order you're gonna get stale bread, and/or a stale French roll subbed for the bread you actually ordered. They won't tell you that the bread is out of stock. They'll just sub a crappy, stale French roll and make you pay full price. They also skip mayo and pesto, and give you brown avocado. Don't bother ordering. The pic I shared is supposed to be a Cali Classico, on a Dutch crunch roll. They always sub the Dutch crunch with a stale French roll, but still charge you the same amount. They skimp on everything. Sandwiches are all bread, no flavor.

I tried a sandwich today from Erik’s Deli on B Street in Hayward. The pics of their choices looked great in photos, so went with a tuna with the works. I opened it up to see if I wanted to add any seasoning or mayo, and was shocked by what I saw: only a thin schmear of tuna, 3 tiny wilted lettuce leaves, skimpy cheese, and other ingredients haphazardly thrown together. Certainly NOT made with care nor quality. Not like their photos AT ALL. Not a fan.

My sandwich was the worst sandwich I've ever had there. I had the RE O, and I had 2 pieces of meat on it. The bread was hard. It was sourdough, and they had no pickles. They said they ran out usually you get a nice big sandwich for the price. But yesterday was terrible

Ordered a chicken pesto sandwich, and it was sadly quite disappointing. While the staff were very courteous and fast, there was not much on that sandwich to justify the price, and they left off the jack cheese! Not likely to order that again. I may not even go back at this point. Update 2/10/23 Returned again to try this place one more time. Requested sprouts, pickle and mustard be added to my sandwich (a Rio Grande Club). They only added the mustard. Why can't this place get it right even after I confirm? Not going back.

Ordered 1/2 Pilgrim Progress sandwich at $7.49. Came with only one thin slice of turkey. Don't know if that is the usual portion, but I feel it is a ripoff. Tasted good though.

I’ve never made a review but I felt like I had to this time. I love Eriks sandwiches and especially their carrot cake so this is a regular spot for me. I paid and picked up my food on 6/22 and my girlfriend was called the next day being told that I paid with fake money because it was rejected from the bank. I question how they were able to tell how my 20 amongst all the others from the day was the fake ? Let alone the fact that I had gotten my 20 from the bank myself! I called the owner myself to straighten things out and He was just saying he knew it was mine and even ended up hanging up on me. I’m not sure if i still want to give this location my business especially if i have to feel like I’m being watched and tested when I go.

Went here a couple of days ago, gotta say this easily the worst experience I've ever had, the short bald man named bryan? He was extremely rude to his employees regardless of age, the food was subpar at best, got half my order wrong with and the seadog i ordered, and to top it all off they clearly haven't cleaned or mopped the floor. Definitely infested with roaches. They have a problem with homeless people coming in and i felt uncomfortable the entire time i was there. I wish i could put zero stars that's how bad i feel about this place. This is why i should have instead gone to subway, definitely wont be coming back.

He was extremely rude to his employees regardless of age, the food was subpar at best, got half my order wrong with and the seadog i ordered, and to top it all off they clearly haven't cleaned or mopped the floor. Definitely infested with roaches. They have a problem with homeless people coming in and i felt uncomfortable the entire time i was there. I wish i could put zero stars that's how bad i feel about this place. This is why i should have instead gone to subway, definitely wont be coming back.
