The service at this place is incredible; even though it's on the sidewalk, they're incredibly friendly. The city is generally expensive, but the cemitas are quite good, and a dish called Jarochito is a must-try. It's like a baguette with cheese, beans, breaded steak, ham, string cheese, chicken, and many other things that make for a delicious culinary experience. I even brought bread from another place, and they let me try it.

Not the best cemitas in town by a long shot. My friend and I were not offered any salsa nor were we offered to order drinks or other addition items. This being our first visit to this restaurant it would have been helpful to receive recommendations. The restaurant had been recommended because of the various hot sauces they are known for however nor were we offered nor did we see available any hot sauces as such our cemitas were mostly without flavor. The noise of the street makes it, at times, unbearable to carry a conversation. Not all menu items were available. Finally the small portion as compared to, for example, Carmen make the value of these Cemitas small.

A classic but dated place, the service was poor, the drinks weren't chilled, you just finished eating and the drinks arrived at the end. In the end, they charge you whatever they want on the bill. They don't show the menu. And they mention that the menu and prices on Facebook are wrong, and that it's the owners' fault. I won't return to that place because of the excessive prices. And I don't recommend it.

Reviewed February 2023. These cemitas used to be iconic in Puebla, but the flavor isn't the same as it was before the pandemic. The meat used to taste exquisite and the portion was larger; now it doesn't taste the same. The service isn't bad.

They have no flavor, they taste bland and the sauce is to your liking, so it's better not only because of tradition, but it's better to eat well somewhere else. The old lady treats her employees horribly.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. I came from Mexico City to try these "cemitas," which are anything but cemitas. I ordered more than 5 to go, and when I got home to Mexico City, I put them on the comal to heat them up, and when I opened them, this is what they looked like. They added two papalo leaves to some, and no papalo to others. Even though they're VERY SMALL, they add a huge amount of cheese and avocado. The Milanese sandwiches on the corner of my house taste better than these "cemitas." I don't understand why they're so famous; how mediocre. Nothing compared to the cemitas I've tried in different parts of Puebla.
