The food was amazing. I would go back for the homemade gnocchi again. The kingfish sashimi was very fresh, as someone that doesn’t have sashimi much, this dish blew me away.

A hidden gem and a must visit! Try the chicken, you will NOT be disappointed. This is a Michelin ⭐️ restaurant! Service is top notch.

Great place for dinner especially for folks with dietary restrictions. Great blend of American and Asian fusion dishes in shared plates dining style. Highly recommend the 1/2 smoked & fried chicken.

I found out the hard way that you have to order online on a wends to pick up on Friday and yes they sell out fast....but they have a sister store that you can get a breakfast burrito on a first come first serve basis.

Excellent restaurant in a nondescript strip mall. Very highly rated and the food is amazing. The portions are meat to share, and worth every bite. The apple salad, Beef cheeks and the chicken were devine, and the focaccia very good. Staff very attentive and pleasant. This is a popular restaurant, parking is tricky, so make sure you make a reservation and come early.

Can only speak for the burrito experience. I got the chicken vindaloo special and it was great. Good amount of flavoring, the chicken was tender and the tots and eggs were cooked nicely. The cilantro lime sauce went very well with it. The staff was very friendly. I feel the og breakfast burrito is still my favorite so far. If you're going to get their special burritos or regular burritos. I suggest dming them or calling them for availability.

The best nights end with dessert, and Baran’s in Hermosa Beach delivered. My friends and I stopped in for a late-night sip and sweet treat and decided to order every dessert on the menu. It was the right call. The Olive Oil Cake was the biggest surprise. With lemon curd, strawberries, and thyme, it sounded heavy but turned out light and flavorful. The Cheesecake with its olive oil dark chocolate shell and miso caramel was decadent and unique. And the Coffee Toffee Pudding? Warm, gooey, and absolutely perfect for sharing, though I would not blame anyone for keeping it all to themselves. We sat at the bar where the staff were kind, attentive, and even laughed at our jokes. Parking can be a little tricky since the restaurant is small, but you can find street parking nearby. Baran’s is exactly the kind of local gem that makes Hermosa special. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot with incredible food.

Celebrated our Valentine’s Day at Baran’s this year. It was absolutely delicious. Menu is very small and server recommended about 4 dishes for two people. 2lb ribeye was our favorite. Cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. Restaurant is very small and intimate. Only beer and wine available.

Absolutely phenomenal breakfast burrito—10/10, highly recommend! A local friend tipped me off about this spot, and I have to say, it’s easily one of the top five breakfast burritos I’ve had in all of California. The chorizo breakfast burrito is the move—bold flavors, perfectly cooked, and every bite is elevated by their killer sauces (don’t skip them). The place has that laid-back, hidden-gem vibe that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. Bonus points for the chill, friendly staff who clearly care about the food and experience. I’ll definitely be back—this spot is absolutely worth the 40-minute drive.

Absolutely the best upscale place to eat in the South Bay. The salads, entrees and deserts were all 10/10. It also has maybe 8 different tables, so it feels like you’re eating in someone’s dining room. That being said, you’ll need a reservation. Could not recommend this place enough.

Breakfast Burrito ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I teach at Los Alamitos HS near Nick’s Deli, home of Nick’s Famous Breakfast Burritos. Both make a 10 out of 10 Breakfast Burrito. Nick’s has Bacon & Chorizo, Baran’s you have to pick… I tried Bacon. Nick’s has potatoes, Baran’s has crispy tater tots and a a small amount of green onions that gives it a distinct taste. Nick’s has a delicious red hot sauce. Baran’s gives you a green & a red hot sauce (both are excellent).

I had heard about their famous breakfast Burrito. I like to consider myself a food head so I went in with high expectations. But man, it exceeded my expectations. This was the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. So good that I went back the next day and got bacon (first time I got chorizo) Thank you team!

Went there Friday June 20 for the wife’s birthday. This is a hidden gem. I don’t normally make dinner reservations, but it’s the wife’s birthday and I’m supposed to make all the plans. These guys made me look good, lol. Great restaurant, great staff- they might all be owners because they all act like it. Definitely be back when in the area. The place does have a lot of energy so it’s great if you’re not looking for a low key, chill type of place. Food is awesome.

Know that they stop the breakfast burrito sales at noon and, as a pro tip, call ahead and order as the preparation takes around 25-30 minutes. They take orders via phone and Instagram! We did not know any of this before our arrival but the customer service was fantastic and the woman assisting us gave us all the details. She even recommended a coffee shop down the way if we'd like to check out whilst waiting (we decided to hit the Saloon instead and the spicy bloody Mary was perfection). Once we acquired the goods we headed down to the beach to indulge. At first glance, the burrito was a thick stubby thing but packed some heft! Then, as we started eating the burrito we were amazed at the balance of flavor and texture! The house-made chorizo was perfectly seasoned, a place not afraid of some salt (yes!). Not to mention, the salsas were a great addition to the burrito with the Rojo being my favorite (I'm a Verde girl usually). I was very VERY pleased and satisfied, and I was stuffed to the brim! To say the least, I was not hungry for hours after! I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to experience their dinner service! As a note, follow their Instagram. They offer up limited specialty pre-order burritos!

Seats are too close together. Came down with the flu two days after eating there. Can't say for sure if I caught it from sitting so close to other patrons but I'm pretty sure I did and one table sitting next to us were so loud and obnoxious did not make it pleasurable

I step into Baran's and wasn't sure what to expect. The atmosphere was giving "tavern/pub vibes", but how wrong I was in making that assessment! Once I received the menu I was even more confused, but the items were explained in a masterly fashion. Finally A menu that delivers! Each dish fills your mouth with so many flavors. Each bite is an unexpected delight! Baran's is unassuming yet very impressive. Highly recommend.

Flavor on the chorizo legit, much better than the bacon. And red sauce is a banger! Has all the raw talent/ingredients of being a top 3 breakfast burrito in LA, but has a fatal flaw. They premake these burritos, so you lose the crispy texture in the tator that is a non-negotiable to enter the top 3 discussion. This alone keeps it from entering the GOAT discussion.

We found the burritos to be very heavy and pork-forward -- you can't taste the eggs, because there is just too much meat. The hashbrowns also had a very strong, overpowering flavor. The salsas were fine. We found this to be our least impressive burrito yet. We could not finish the two burritos we got, even though my boyfriend is able to finish just about anything. The most telling thing is that we didn't keep the leftovers, because neither of us wanted to eat more of it. And there's nothing I like more than a leftover burrito waiting for me in my fridge! Given that these burritos require pre-order, they need to be worth the effort, but they are not. Do yourself a favor and go to Brother's Burritos in Hermosa instead. The tri-tip burrito is only $10, far tastier, lighter, and with better salsas.
