Went after the holiday light show. Was very busy
On my visit to the Blue Barn Cidery, I had a Fall Salad with an add-on burger. It was interesting. The burger didn't have a bun, but I didn't need it. For dessert, I had a taste of an Apple Fritter. I visited here for the first time with my family. I will return since the food was great.
Great place!!!! I had the nachos and they were very good. I also had a nonalcoholic IPA that was very impressive. The staff were friendly and polite. I will be back and would definitely recommend for a casual relaxing meal.
Ordered a Hilton lite beer and double cheeseburger. Both were excellent. Friendy service, prices reasonable.
Cozy, casual, hip, relaxed, comfortable hangout. Great food and fun flights of cider and speciality beer. I loved this place. Went there on a cold night with family and had such a great meal. Great atmosphere led to great conversation and great memories made. There is a barn-like venue next door which I can imagine would be a great place for a wedding reception or other special event. Kind of in the middle of nowhere that was part of its charm. This is definitely a new favorite place in the area!
Love going to all the special events!! Food is always great! Love what they charge the menu!
I have been to Blue Barn on multiple occasions and it is always amazing. Recently, I hosted a birthday party there using their private tent and I highly recommend anyone to do the same for a private party. The manager Tori was amazing to work with and very accommodating. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and hospitable.
We've gone here several times. The drinks are always incredible and the food is delicious. Definitely worth the trip!
Hard ciders and doughnuts were very good; did not buy food.
I have live in Hilton forever and never gone here. That was a mistake. This was such a great place. I will definitely be back. Food was tasty, drinks were great, and the staff was friendly.
Never disappointed with this one. I went for their pasta dinner and let me tell you they imported a fresh pasta maker from Italy and they do not disappoint. Always a great atmosphere and meal. I don't drink personally but they had virgin mimosas and they were so delicious.
Great place to visit. Friendly staff and great cider and beer.
Came to brunch for my first time this weekend with family! Very spacious atmosphere with many options for food and drink! I did like that it was a nice set up with ordering food and drink at your leisure and having a buzzer instead of having a wait or/waitress. The brunch was incredible. Had the breakfast garbage plate and shared a cinnamon roll. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu! Great cider options as well!
It was a beautiful Father's day. We took advantage of the nice weather and ate outside. Food and service was very good and the area where we dined was spacious which allowed the room for the grandchildren to run and play. Very nice experience. 👍
Food was good... I got the steak sub..steak was awesome.. bun could be a little better.. Atmosphere was awesome..will definitely go back there.
Blue barn is a fantastic place to hangout with a few friends and drink some hard cider/beer/ non alcoholic beverages. Between the friendly staff who are always willing to help and the drinks being some of the best cider I've ever had, I've yet to find a better place to spend my time/money. To be clear it's not perfect. The drinks generally are priced well but the food can be quite expensive and the amount of food you get does not always justify that cost. That being said the food does taste very good and is pretty quick to be served. The atmosphere is great a large majority of the time but when the garage doors are closed it can be frustrating as the hall gets extremely loud and it is difficult to hear people across a table without yelling at each other. As I said previously this doesn't occur a majority of the time. All that being said I can't fault them for being a high quality establishment and getting busy because of it. I can't recommend the blue barn cidery to anyone looking for a top shelf hangout spot!!
All the ciders are great, not too sweet, balanced additions of extra flavors like cinnamon or ginger etc. Excellent food with lighter options, beautiful venue with lots of space and nice views. Staff is friendly, gift shop stuff is cute too. They've done a great job with this place, one of the best breweries I've seen in Rochester.
Told my coworker that I was in the mood for cider and a nice view after work, so Blue Barn was the obvious choice! I did a cider flight and got to experience a variety of different flavored ciders. I paired the cider donut flavor with an actual cider donut for peak fall vibes. Would definitely love to go back!
A huge thank you to the staff and most especially Katie for all of their help with providing great service and amazing food today. My family all met after my father's service at Holy Sepulchre cemetery today. It was nice to get together with family and have nice conversation at a great place!! Thank you so much!
This is a true craft cidery. Local apples They had at least 9 hard ciders on tap to try. I really enjoyed all of the ciders, they have a nice selection of semi-dry/semi-sweet ciders. They even had a s election of local beers on tap. If you enjoy traditional craft hard cider and some interesting twists, you won't regret the ride out to Blue Barn Cidery. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. You can get growler fills as well as bottled ciders to take home. Loved the country setting and the whole experience was great! 5 stars! We will definitely be back.
Our family loves it here! Great food and friendly staff. Also love the atmosphere! Recently tried out a farm-to-table dinner- the food was excellent, beautiful setting, and reasonable price point, compliments to the chef and host- we will be back!
We loved the atmosphere, we were able to order all of the sharable and had more than enough food for our large party. We were able to bring the dog on the back patio which was nice too! Everyone had 1 drink which were great 😃
It would be nice if they had servers for patrons so they can have meals be served at their tables
I love this place. This is only my 2nd time here, but both times have been great. They have an excellent selection of ciders, beers, & wine. The friendly staff are very knowledgeable about the menu items & give great recommendations. We got there later than usual this time, so the mosquitos were biting despite putting on bug spray. I'd recommend some tiki torches and/or citronella candles outside.
Super giant venue that can house hundreds of people - but is such a well oiled machine it doesn’t bother me like it does at most places. The food is good for quick service bar food - and fresher than most bar food options I will add. Their drinks are spot on - from ciders to cocktails. Tons of events so be sure to check their site for event calendar. I love going to the vendor markets there. Pet friendly patio!
Love this place. Nicely renovated barn with a very modern farm market feel. Wide range of cider tastings. Completely relaxed vibe with indoor and outdoor dining.
This is a great place to go for a relaxing time. During the summer they have bands. Food is great. So easy to find a seat inside or out and a nice variety of ciders and wine.
Took my family here the other night, I had an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch. Charlotte was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely made me feel valued there. She went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect, answered all my questions with patience, and had such a warm and welcoming attitude. It’s rare nowadays to come across someone who truly cares about providing an exceptional experience, but she definitely does. 100% will be returning here again with my family and friends in the future
It has a great space indoor and outdoor. Plenty of tables at both. Bands play on Thursday early at 5:30, good for families. Lots of area for kids to run around, music at a nice hearing level, many drink choices, outdoor food and drink locations, outhouse, umbrellas on tables, easy in and out with a goods area to pick up a sweet, clothing, or drink to go.
The atmosphere here and small town feeling was really nice. Plenty of options for food and drink. Prices not too outrageous. Was a little disorienting walking in but once we settled in, enjoyed our experience and the vibes immensely! Their halloween deco is so cute. Service wise - everything is self serve and you just order at the counter.
Highly recommend for a date night ! Great selection of ciders. Food and cider Menu is tasty and changes. Nice reasons to keep coming back. A lot of nice bands and other events offered on their Facebook page as well. The seasonal/special food menu changes regularly. Portions and large enough to share or to take home leftovers. Gift shop has a nice selection of ciders to take home, shirts, baked items, candles and flavored vinegar’s.
Ordered the summer salad for lunch. It was tasty, but the number of croutons tossed in with the salad took up half the bowl. I'm not exaggerating, I threw away at least 30-35 croutons after trying to find my salad and I ate a fair amount of croutons. The ciders in my flight were excellent and the atmosphere was great! Super casual place for a leisurely paced lunch after picking blueberries at the West Wind Farm.
If you’re looking for a welcoming, 'stay-a-while' kind of place, Blue Barn is it. It’s one of the few spots that truly feels like family fun for all ages. The selection of ciders and food is top-tier (Jastaberry is my go to), and the in-house shop is a dangerous (but wonderful) addition—you’re definitely going to want to take some bottles home with you. A local favorite that we’ll continue to visit again and again.
Great location with numerous ciders to sample and a wide variety of food options. Brunch was great! Plenty of seating and parking. Order drinks and food at the large bar, then food is served to your table. Offer canned drinks for sale in the gift shop.
Great place! We had a large party there the staff was very friendly. Food was excellent. We'll be back again! The ciders were killer!
Edit: The Owner reached out and profusely apologized. We really appreciated it. I’ll be changing the review back to 5 stars as a review on the owner and not this one experience. Most of us had a great experience. Unfortunately one of us ordered a Gluten Free Garbage Bowl and it came out with Mac and Cheese that was not gluten free. The menu clearly states that the garbage bowl can be made gluten free and the receipt shows that we asked for it to be made GF including ordering GF toast. We asked to speak to the manager and the manager barely even apologized. The individual who ate it has Celiac and is going to have a terrible reaction, and management couldn’t care less. We bring our whole family here every time they are in town and after the treatment we received today we will not be coming back.
You place your order up at the bar and they gave you a pager to pick up your order to the side. This is typical pub ordering so no big deal. The butternut squash flatbread was phenomenal as was the orzo salad. My husband wanted to drink the chimichurri sauce served with the pulled pork sandwich because it was so delicious.
Been here several times over the years- always great! Food comes out quickly and is never disappointing. Lots of seating both indoor and outdoors. Nice to bring the dog outside as well
Went on their Halloween festival day. Crowded but we found a table in the sun, cider was great. Food was quick and service was friendly. Had a great time watching everyone else’s kids enjoying the food and games.
Blue Barn offers a great variety of hard ciders — all well-crafted and full of character. The food is also excellent, but what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere: the bright, open interior that blends seamlessly into the outdoor space creates a truly relaxing experience. On my most recent visit, it was blueberry season, and I picked up a blueberry pound cake to take home — it was fantastic. Whether you’re coming from a distance or just stopping by as a local, Blue Barn is always worth it. Highly recommended.
Very chill spot in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive. We ordered flights of beers & ciders and they were all legit. I think highlights were Jostaberry, Blueberry Kolsch & white peach mango jam. Food was solid too we sampled Nachos, pretzels and loaded fries... all fairly unique spins on these pub favorites. Great atmosphere, chill servers and good vibes out in the sun, will definitely return.
Enjoyed our first brunch at Blue Barn. We had a breakfast plate, a breakfast sandwich and breakfast tacos. We shared the cinnamon rolls. Everything was delicious!!! Very filling! Took home leftovers. We also had some signature Irish drinks (for St Patrick’s Day) and my husband had coffee with bourbon cream! Fabulous!
Went to the cidery after apple picking. Had a fantastic cider flight for $7. They also have a beer flight for $7. We also had Buffalo chicken flautas for $15, they were typical bar food to soak up the alcohol. We went on an amazing day so the outside seating was perfect. They also have a great souvenir store where we got cider donuts for $1.50 each and create your own cider 4/6 packs. Along with shirts and other souvenirs. Great spot and the outside is dog friendly (as long as you’re wasp friendly).
Delicious cider, amazing food and friendly, helpful staff - what more can you ask for? We visited Blue Barn Cidery on a recent visit from Ontario and were blown away. Had a wonderful afternoon sitting in the sunshine sipping on a flight of cider and munching on some shareables. (Added bonus of sitting outside? The scent of the freshly cut grass and the smoker. 😁) We will be visiting again for sure, and telling everyone we know to visit.
I've been a huge fan of Jostaberry Jam for the last few years and have enjoyed everything I've been able to find from Blue Barn Cidery in local stores. Today my husband and I ended up having a Marketplace find in Hilton, which is an hour and a half from where we live. Lo and behold, it was 6 minutes from BBC. We enjoyed everything we tried, flights and food alike. The French fries were especially fantastic if you're a fry person. Soft on the inside with some kind of crispy batter on them. I had the Blue Barn Burger, my husband had the Steak Burrito and our children (7y/o and 10y/o) had a Quesadilla and a Burger from the kid's menu. We shared the Mexican Street Corn Dip, and were surprised that it was served cold. It was good as is, but we brought some home to heat up. I was really happy to see other families with small children dining in; the non-alcoholic sparkling orange juice that came in a Mason jar was a fancy treat for our youngest. The girl at the front desk was very nice, and there was a nice selection of merchandise and 4-packs to choose from, along with a lot of choices from 1911. I'm glad we were finally able to make the trip after being big fans for so long.
Great atmosphere, lovely orchards, good food, delicious flights of hard cider, nice selection of seasonal baked goods and fruit. They are also dog friendly. We visited during the blueberry festival. I went there for a cookie decorating class by paradise cookies. I had such a good time! And my favorite Blue Barn selection for drinks would have to be the Liberty.
This was a great place! Food was pretty good the chicken tacos though were very salty and my waffle fries were cold and hard, drinks at the bar or fantastic lots of space for family and friends They have a garden on the property during summer where you can harvest berries apples and pumpkins in the fall. They have a gift shop where you can buy clothing and alcohol that is locally made by blue barn. They host game nights on Wednesdays. Have cider flights so you can try all of their locally made ciders. The staff here are very welcoming and wonderful! This will be a regular spot for me to relax and visit.
Nice place for a relaxing lunch or fun afternoon out. Seating is available both inside and out at picnic tables. Many options for ciders (gingerberry and blueberry were excellent) and craft beers. Ordered sharable menu items. Pretzels were great as were the quesadillas. Pizza was tasty as well. Nice store in the front to pick up your favorite ciders to go along with Blue Barn swag.
Very good on tap cider. A busy day to visit which may have impacted food service and quality. We found a good selection of hard ciders but most of the purchased food (wraps, salad) was over priced for the lack of taste. Cider donuts the exception as they were very good.
First time here. Was unaware there is no servers, drinks and food are all ordered at the bar. Atmosphere is amazing, the food is great.
We went with another couple, there was a band ands it was very busy. We were in line to order and we each got called to order at the same time at register's next to each other. Our buzzer went off and they got their food, ate the food and got to go containers and were ready to leave. We didn’t even have our food yet. I went up and asked about, was told our ticket was up next. Waited 15 more minutes and went up again. The girl was extremely surprised we didn’t have our food yet. She gets the manager, the manager checks and comes to me and says I just checked and your order will be next, over an hour wait for a burger , half a salad, and an order of pretzels. The food was good, the house cider was fantastic, the service was far from mediocre. They need to train staff for big crowds and have someone to expedite.
First visit during Covid, wasn't impressed. Figured we'd try it again since we were in Hilton again. Much better visit! Enjoyed the West Cider, the White Peach Mango Jam cider and got the pretzels sticks to snack on. Plenty of outdoor/indoor seating. Would recommend stopping if your out in Hilton and looking for a relaxing place with good drinks!
The food was good. I had a burger with lemon cauliflower and my wife had a steak quesadilla. Ciders were great! We got flights and all were really good. We bought 2 four packs of our favorites on the way out. For service we didn't know you had to go up to the bar to order your food. You also have to pick up your own order when it's ready (they give you a pager) which can be a little crazy when it's busy. It also left me a little perplexed when it came to tipping at the end of our meal because if you didn't pay when you ordered then you have to return to the bar to pay your bill. Seeing as I had to do most things myself I concluded that normal bartender tipping was in order and not that of a typical restaurant even though the screen prompts you for 15%,20%, custom options. Overall was a pleasant experience
Pulled pork sandwich was smokey and nicely spiced, with great flavor. We also had a flatbread with squash, caramelized onion, apple and goat cheese that tasted phenomenal!
We've been to Blue Barn many times and have always had a good experience there. The food is great and they definitely don't skimp on the portions - we usually leave with leftovers! The burger is MASSIVE and their fries are so well seasoned and tasty! The cider is also awesome - we pretty much always get a flight there because it's too hard to choose just one. We love Jostaberry, Blueberry Jam and Westcider! I do wish the flight boards weren't so shallow because it always makes me nervous that I'm going to spill! It can get crowded at times, which causes long lines and longer than usual wait times for food. They also used to have a self-serve water station that was complimentary for you to quench your thirst but now you have to pay $1 for bottled water, which is kind of a bummer. All in all though, these are minor quibbles. Blue Barn is still excellent and I'll definitely be back!
I would not go here for the food, but I loved the ciders, the atmosphere, and the service was fantastic! Bar tender was cool. There was a lady who helped me pick out the cider I wanted. Ended up buying one I tasted from the flight. It was the Justaberry one. Super good! The food is just not my cup of tea. You may enjoy it. I got a teriyaki chicken wrap. It was a lot of pulled chicken shoved into a wrap. Some people might like that, but I personally didn’t 🤷🏻♀️ my salad was also drenched in dressing. I didn’t like that either.
We visited Blue Barn Cidery for their Christmas light drive-thru, and overall it was a great experience. The drive-through cost around $40, which felt a bit shorter compared to other light shows we’ve attended — it took about 10-12 minutes to go through — but it was still fun and festive. We also paid an additional $5 per person to go inside the barn afterward, and that was definitely worth it. The barn was beautifully decorated, and each of us received a ticket to visit different activity stations, including reindeer food, Santa visits, and crafts. There was also free hot cocoa, which was a nice touch. It did take a little while to find a table for crafts since it was pretty crowded, but once we settled in, it was a really enjoyable experience. Knowing this was their first year offering the light show, we’re excited to see how it grows in the future. We’ll likely be back.
I went here with a friend for Sunday brunch. The decorations were nice, it was clean. I did not like the open space dining, it felt like I was in a school cafeteria. This also made it loud and had a busy feel. We were seated by the bar and had a constant line of people ordering within inches of us then entire time we were there. You don't have a server, you go to the bar to place your order for drink and food. Then someone brings you your meal. No one checks in to see if you need anything or if everything was ok. I noticed that even the take out containers for left overs were self serve. The food and drinks were excellent. Reservations are recommended, we placed them online.
Wife wanted to try some where new with a great view. So we took a trip to Blue Barn Cidery . It was a cooler night so inside was packed , but there was plenty of seats. Outside would be a great spot in the spring or summer . The ciders were crispy and tasty , no fake added flavors . The menu was pretty big , the nachos were huge, lots of unique toppings the pretzels were pretty standard but the apple Carmel dipping sauce was a great twist the burger was solid , could have been slightly less cooked but still a great meal and I would highly recommend a Visit to Blue Barn
This used to be our weekend go to spot. However, what was once a delicious veggie burger is now just a patty made mostly of bland rice. It’s hard to pay $16 for a burger that they decided to cut corners on and make mostly rice, which is dirt cheap. Now we go to Irondequoit Beer Company. Hopefully Blue Barn will invest back into the quality of their food!
I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately due to our recent dinner experience, I just cannot. I'll start with the positive. Great location. Great concept. Pleasant staff. Enjoyed their hard cider. Unfortunately the negative started on our arrival. We were met at the hostess stand by three very pleasant ladies that could not seem to find the reservation made just a half hour earlier. As they were able to seat us it was no big deal and if that was the only negative, I probably wouldn't even mention it. As the dining room was packed at 6:30 on a Friday it seemed evident that the Blue Barn is a popular spot. No wait staff (which is fine). Customers place their own orders at the counter or online. The online ordering was not explained well. The website has ORDER CURBSIDE PICKUP & VIEW MENU options. Not until, I went up to the counter to place our order did I learn that the CURBSIDE option also meant, I could do that and bring it back to our table. The order took awhile but as they were pretty packed it was understandable. We ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich. Both although tasty were lukewarm. The fries which were hot and looked great were too peppery. ... What stands out more than the food issues is that the dining room is way too loud (with a big crowd) and much too bright. The room desperately needs acoustical panels on the walls and acoustical spray applied to the ceiling. They could cut out most (if not all) the recessed ceiling lights and just have the hanging fixtures lit for a much more cozy atmosphere. ... All this being said, I hope the best for this business. It is needed in this area and we want to support it. We'll try it again in the summer. ... For reference, I am a 40+ year construction professional and have managed the construction of numerous commercial buildings including many for the hospitality industry. ...
Nice atmosphere and a lot of space if you’re looking to have a big gathering. For everything being self serve though, the prices were very high. $13 for 3 pretzel sticks seems outrageous. Burger was good but customers who are paying those kind of prices shouldn’t have to also retrieve their own food. At least have someone bring out the food. There should be signs coming into the place that everything is self serve. Outside of having to get up every time I needed a drink or food and the prices, it wasn’t horrible.
Cider was good but more enjoyable to be bought and taken home. The barn is very industrial and not cozy like most distilleries.
Ciders are soo good! *edit* I come here quite often. The service has always been good. However, I have removed 2 stars for my last experience. I waited at the (empty) bar for at least 5min. There was one couple at the end on the side being helped by one bartender, but the other was just standing there staring off into space. Finally the guy finished with the couple and came over to me. As I waited for him to get my drinks, 3girl bartenders were staring at me and pretty much gave me the impression they were for some reason talking about me. This made me VERY uncomfortable. All I can recommend is, if you have new workers, great. Teach them common sense on how to greet customers. And teach them not to stare at customers and make them feel unwanted and uncomfortable.
Breakfast tacos kinda bland. No flavor. Supposedly they had bacon in them but I didn’t taste it. Would have been nice to get a choice between bacon or sausage. Maybe I’d go back to try the croissant sandwich and the flight. But not sure because each time I go there whether it’s to buy cidar or eat in, the people arnt the most welcoming. The pamosa was ok.
I love BBC but ***they ruined their winter brunch***. They give you 90 minutes which is plenty of time. Then, late last year they started implementing the 'whole party must be present to be seated' policy which makes no sense in combination with the limited time. If we are agreeing to leave within the 90 minute period, why do they care if everyone has arrived on time or not? We used to bring a party of 10 to 14 family members, some with kids, others with mobility issues. As such, getting everyone to arrive on time is rather difficult. Then, this year, they added more inconveniences. The whole family had to order at the same time? The BBC doesn't choose to pay servers for table-service then we should be able to order and pay as we please. Some need to eat soon after arriving (pregnant moms, hungry kids) and others of us prefer to have a drink and talk and peruse the menu longer. Our monthly party of 10 to 14 family members won't be back for brunch now that they have instituted policies not conducive to large groups. We have made two direct and private complaints to BBC about the above and have heard nothing in reply. Fine, so now it is public.
I’ve been here once before and the food and service was great. However, this was not case for this visit. The lady at the front desk where you can purchase merchandise was very rude. My grandmother asked her one question about something she wanted to buy, and the lady was very short. Not the best look for a business when the very first person you interact with is rude to customers. Thankfully, the young girl at the bar was extremely friendly and personable, and definitely made up for her ruder counterpart at the store. We decided to have lunch here and try the food, and it was not good. Waffle fries were cold and the burgers we got had a strange texture. Might give this place one more chance considering that the first time we went it was very good. Overall, disappointed.
Wife and I made it out to Blue Barn tonight for their Thursday evening live music. It's been on our agenda for a while and somewhere we really wanted to try but we don't live nearby. We have tried their ciders and enjoyed them. Unfortunately it wasn't a positive experience and I can't really recommend anyone else make the trip. There were some good things The place is very large and can handle a ton of people. They do have a decent variety of drinks so that was another pro. Those two things are about it. Well, and the burger. We each got a flight for 10 bucks which is okay. We liked some of our drinks more than others, that's pretty standard as well when you're trying new things. There was a series of negatives though. When you pull in the parking lot is very cramped especially if you have a larger vehicle. This goes double for the parking spots themselves. You walk into a store selling a few local products and then there's a sign that just says please seat yourself. There's no real explanation on how they have things set up. You just kind of got a guess and figure it out yourself. We got in line for the bar and placed our order. Now, this is where this gets a little confusing as there's a large bar inside and there's a bar shack thing outside, and you can order food at the bar inside...as well as drinks, but you can also get food at another food shack thingy outside. It's kind of confusing and all over the place... Either way you go to the bar, you go to pick up your food... yet for some reason they expect a tip? This really confuses me as they're not doing anything that would deserve a tip. Most people that we saw bused their own tables but there was a busser. Maybe I would understand if the tip options were like $1 $2 $3. But they're not, they start at 15% and go up from there... So we took our drinks and found a table. The music was was okay as well, not too loud, Not great but not bad. So our buzzer rang and we went and got our food to bring back to the table. The fries were more heavily salted than any potato I've ever eaten; pretty much to the point where they were almost inedible. The pulled chicken in the tacos was very dry and the sauce that came in the tacos was very very heavily seasoned. It was just not a good combination. We also got some mozzarella sticks which were okay and the burger which was the only food that was actually good. All in all, considering it's not easily accessible, it's not particularly affordable, it's not particularly tasty, and it's not really offering you anything that you can't get elsewhere... I give it two stars.
Visited here last night for the first time and were somewhat disappointed. I’ll start by saying that the cider was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. However, it took 40 minutes for us to get fries, Brussels sprouts, and 3 tacos and everything was ice cold and bland. The tacos were also insanely dry. There was a wedding happening at their venue next door so I wondered if maybe the main team was there? The food sounds great, just poor execution unfortunately. For the price I recommend just going to Wegmans and picking up the cider and making something delicious at home.
Gluten Free be cautious, staff is not trained properly. I met some friends for dinner, my first impression is that it’s very loud and cafeteria like. I ordered a cider flight, it was great. You have to order your food at the bar and pick it up at a different window. On their menu, they have gluten-free options indicated. I was very excited about this so I ordered A sandwich that came on a gluten-free roll. I reiterated to the person taking my order that I needed a gluten-free roll. My receipt said substitute gluten-free roll. When my food was ready I enjoyed every bit of it. Unfortunately, a few hours after I got home I became extremely ill for the entire night which made me realize I was not given a gluten-free roll. I’m not sure where the confusion transpired since that particular sandwich was supposed to come on a gluten-free roll anyway or was it substituted out because the person that took the order wrote substitute gluten-free roll?
Hey blue barn, how about take care of your staff and make sure that when someone is sick they don't come to work and then spread it to others. and maybe work on hiring more people and work on better management strategies so they aren't as stressed with the overwhelming vast number of customers. That would be great thanks.
My family has long loved blue barn's food. However, earlier this year we experienced two bouts of food poisoning from them. I let them know, and they sent a lackluster generic email response. We then decided to go back for Mother's Day brunch. I clicked THEIR link for the brunch and registered. I realized this weekend that their landing page didn't default to the mother's day brunch they advertised and instead registered me for a day in April. I reached out to explain their error, and they let me know that they are sold out for Mother's Day and would not correct my reservation. Terrible customer service.
I’d like to share my experience from our recent visit. We drove two hours to Rochester and are not familiar with the area. We arrived around 7:50 PM — later than we originally expected — and placed our order around 8:15 PM. Our party included three adults and five children. We ordered a variety of food and drinks, including two growlers. First, the children’s pasta was extremely spicy.. surprisingly so, even for the adults in our group. None of the children were able to eat it, and the adults ended up finishing those meals instead. More concerning, however, was finding a metal wing nut screw inside our french fries. This was incredibly alarming, especially with five children at the table. We immediately brought it to the kitchen’s attention. Unfortunately, the manager did absolutely nothing — not even an apology. Nothing was comped, no acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation, and no attempt was made to make it right. It felt very impersonal and dismissive. To add to the disappointment, we also felt rushed out toward the end of our meal. Overall, this was a very concerning and disappointing experience, especially after driving two hours. Finding a metal object in food is a serious safety issue, and the lack of response from management was even more troubling. Bartenders were pleasant, poor management!
