Tried Baja Tacos and veggie pizza. Both tasted really good. Overall we had an amazing meal after a long run in pinnacles.

I do love an unexpected find, and here is another! Absolutely divine! I actually may go as far as saying the fish tacos may have been better than the ones I make..and I didn't know that possible! Then the pizza..like wth? We even ordered it with no cheese to minimize dairy, and it was perhaps the best pizza ever! We haven't been able to have pizza in so long and it was a real prize to have it again and it be so so good! Then the beer..I don't drink beer or like beer...but this beer..wow! Creamy and delicious! We will definitely try and return! The restaurant was clean and the kitchen visible, which I like. 2020~ Our second visit now, sad it took us so long to return, but it was everything I previously wrote in my review! Fantastic! The rotisserie chicken is perfectly moist and every bite better than the one before. The coleslaw is flavorful with a vinegar style, but not overwhelming. The last time I didn't mention the light yet slightly flaky fabulous flour tortillas for the tacos...yum! Service from Nicollette was friendly, prompt, and consistent... perfect :-)

This was our first time here and we enjoyed it. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which was as advertised. It was crunchy outside, moist inside and the spice snuck up on me. My husband had the El Jefe burger. He said it was really good. We used to buy grass fed beef from a ranch near Hollister and he thinks this beef was from the same place. It was a substantial burger.

We arrived at 8 pm on a Friday. Had about a 20 min wait. The Rooster Lemonade was very tasty, and a heavy booze pour. Once we ordered, our food was out in minutes. Generous portions. The biscuit that came with the rotisserie chicken was dry. The potatoes were melt in my mouth amazing, the chicken was fine. My partner had the Chile Verde Tacos and said they were delicious. He was full after two, but had to eat the third. Took a bit longer than I’d like to get the check, but we were on a hurry and most people were hanging out and socializing.

Great food quality! The pizza was a little overcooked. Service was alright but they charged more than I thought it was worth. Fry portions were on the smaller side. The burgers were delicious! Make sure to order medium rare otherwise they will cook it well done/a little dry. Meat lovers pizza is a great option to share. Definitely make sure to get the garlic knots!

My daughter treated me to a birthday dinner at Running Rooster. It is located in downtown Hollister. The restaurant has ample seating and a nice bar. Parking is somewhat limited, but there is generally street parking available. I started off with a glass of DeRose Parróne Blend. We ordered two appetizers: Chips & Dips from the standard menu and Lobster Mac from their special menu. The Chips and Dips came with salsa roja, salsa verde, and your choice of queso dip or guacamole. We opted for the queso dip. The appetizer was good, especially the queso. The salsa roja had a thick, somewhat creamy texture. It wasn't bad, just not the kind of salsa I was expecting. The Lobster Mac was pretty good as well. It consisted of the usual cheesy macaroni noodles, but had plenty of lobster chunks and small, stemmed mushrooms (maybe beech mushrooms?). The whole dish was topped with baked, crusted cheese and piping hot. For my meal, I ordered the Cowboy Burger and upgraded to Garlic Fries. The burger had a great flavor, but the patty wasn't as juicy as I would have liked. It may have been slightly overcooked. The burger toppings included the usual lettuce, tomato and pickles, but also pepper jack cheese, bacon, one large onion ring, and "yeehaw" sauce. All in all, a flavorful burger. My daughter ordered the Mushroom Burger with the onion rings upgrade. She too had the same experience as I did with my burger because her patty was also a bit too dry/overcooked. We ordered a shared dessert, the cheesecake, and opted for a lemon topping. The cheesecake was very good and the topping was the right amount of sweet and tangy. Our server was attentive but not intrusive and she was very pleasant. I like the ambiance of Running Rooster. I do feel the burgers could have been a bit more juicy, but really, the food was good and we'll be going back. Recommended!

A very popular eating place in Hollister. Sometimes the wait might be 15 or 20 minutes. The hostess is friendly and accommodating. Once at our table, the weight staff were there pronto and very attentive and professional. The steak bites were really good and the dipping sauce just makes it all better. There’s plenty of portions to fill up your stomach. If you’re in Hollister, give it a try.

I was visiting from out of town. Fun trendy spot. My daughter had the chicken sandwich, she liked it. Neither one of us cared for the seasoning on the fries. I think they had a lot of chili powder on them. I had the ahi tacos . They were tasty, tortillas were a little over cooked. The beer menu has lots of draft choices. There was a full bar in the restaurant. A lot of outdoor seating, with heaters if needed. My favorite part of the meal was the appetizer. We had the garlic knots, they were a cheesy garlic crosont type roll. I definitely will try some other dishes.

Service was a little slow but other than that a great experience overall. The food was delicious the time between ordering and the food arriving was prompt. Also the checked in with us quite a few times to make sure we had everything we wanted or needed which was great!

Great outdoor seating. The Knoxville Spicy Chicken burger was nice and spicy! The Parabola Stout had a kick to it and hits the spot real quick. Good thing the restaurant made it a smaller serving!

Ordered 2 corn beef hash for take out almost 40 dollars, maybe worth 10 bucks a plate and that’s pushing it. Its delicious but they gave me hardly any for that price.

It was around 8 pm. We were seated for at least 15 minutes but no waiter came to greet us or take our order and it wasn't busy! Actually pretty empty. I saw someone who might be our waiter just standing next to our table chatting. We were both hungry so we left for another restaurant before it closed. Don't go unless you're white(what I saw there)...Can't think of any reason why they were so rude.
