Stopped in to grab a take out order. I got the grand slam breakfast burrito. The hostess was very helpful with showing me some things on the app. Very friendly as well. 1/24/26 Got the under $10 country fried steak. It was delicious. Used my rewards to get a oreo brownie sundae.
Great location, close to all the touristy spot. Service was good and friendly but a tad bit slow (it was super busy so understandable) the food was great and fresh. Good spot for brunch
Dennys is always a great experience but the pancakes were fantastic this time super fluffy and fresh! I really enjoyed the crispy bacon as well. Nice chill atmosphere with good music playing in the restaurant! Overall 5 stars well deserved.
I stayed for several days in Los Angeles near the Walk of Fame and went to Denny's for breakfast several times. It's a fast-food restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The place is in a safe neighborhood and I felt safe even early in the morning. When the place is full, there are waiting seats, everything is very well organized. At breakfast, there is a solid selection of pancakes, sandwiches and more - a typical American breakfast. I had sandwiches with hash browns and bacon and pancakes with blueberries, among other things. Maple syrup is on the table and you can use it yourself (the maple syrup is good quality!). All in all, I paid around 20-25 dollars for breakfast including an orange juice, which is perfectly acceptable for the quantity, quality and prices in the USA. The orange juice and the pancakes were great. The breakfast is - like everything in the USA - very filling. If there are any leftovers, you can easily take them with you and packaging is provided. The service is attentive. The ambience is simple and functional. All in all, I can recommend Denny's to anyone who wants a typical American breakfast - I would come back any time!
The Denny’s on Sunset has been here for decades. Bit of trivia? There was another less than 2 miles away that closed because it couldn’t compete with this one. Gladly they have maintained their quality even after becoming the only one around for miles. They’ve substantially added to their menu over the decades adding huge burgers and some better dinner options. The main choice for me are the breakfast slams. We get the one with scrambled eggs, 4 bacon (yep bacon), hash browns and 2 pancakes which is plenty of food. Now the secret… ask for hot syrup! HOT SYRUP? MIND BLOWN! There are several employees who have been around this location forever and always go out of their way to speak. They are always smiling and very kind to everyone. Denny’s on Sunset is a joy every time I eat there. If you get pancakes or waffles Don’t forget HOT SYRUP!
Great customer service at this location, the waitress was awesome, the food was delicious, we enjoyed our family breakfast
Better as expected! We went there with the family as we where looking for something plain and simple close to our hotel. We where actually pleasantly surprised. Interior was modern and clean. Food was good and tasteful. Better as expected. Serving was fast, friendly and professional.
Very welcoming and friendly place to fill up! Enjoy the food, noting beats a lumberjack set! Ample parking next door.
Came to 12/29/2023 10:00 pm alone for dinner 🥘 and I got the baked lasagna and it was nice and hot ❤️ food was delicious 🤤 For dessert I got the apple crisp and vanilla ice cream 🍦❤️The coffee ☕️ is also good 👍🏽 Pico served me and she was friendly and kind. The customer service is nice and helpful ❤️ The only thing was the bathrooms 🚽 were so dusty and unclean ( they are cleaning them now so let’s see if it makes a difference. Since I was here for over than an hour I must admit there is a lot going on. So many people coming to use the bathrooms and they have security ( it is on a Main Street ) so maybe this is the reason . Parking 🅿️ was easy and accessible. Definitely recommend this location ❤️ Sit by the window and enjoy all the cars passing by.
Good prices, good food. We will definitely come back!!!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Denny's on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a great meal. The menu at Denny's offers a wide variety of options, and I decided to start my meal with the appetizer sampler. This sampler was a true delight, featuring a delicious combination of chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and ranch fries. Each item was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The chicken strips were tender and juicy, the mozzarella sticks were wonderfully cheesy, and the onion rings had a satisfying crunch. The accompanying marinara sauce and ranch dressing were the perfect complements, adding even more taste to the already mouthwatering appetizers. For my main course, I opted for a classic breakfast combination. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to perfection, with the rich and creamy yolk oozing out with each bite. The sausage and bacon added a savory element to the dish, and their flavors were well-balanced and delicious. The star of the breakfast, however, was the hash browns. Crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned, they were the ideal accompaniment to the eggs and meat. The service at Denny's was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, ensuring that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions when I needed them. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The location on Sunset Blvd added to the vibrant and lively atmosphere of the dining experience. In conclusion, my visit to Denny's on Sunset Blvd was a truly enjoyable one. The appetizer sampler was a delicious and satisfying start to the meal, and the breakfast combination of eggs, sausage, bacon, and hash browns was everything I could have asked for. The attentive service and pleasant ambiance further enhanced the overall dining experience. If you're in the Los Angeles area and looking for a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal, Denny's on Sunset Blvd is definitely worth a visit. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast favorites or other tasty options from their menu, you can expect a delightful dining experience with great food and friendly service. Bon appétit!
Carlos at Denny’s gave me the best service I’ve ever had! He was so friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Our food came out fast, he kept checking in on us with such a positive attitude, and he really made the whole experience enjoyable. You can tell he truly cares about his customers. If you go to Denny’s, ask for Carlos — he’s amazing!
Anna & Mgr Corellia are amazing. Anna s greeting & attending to all guests with a smile (even to The Grinch ones ) Mgr Corelia resolved a issue that 95% of managers would of made a big deal of or made the customer feel less than. She did the opposite & I left with a big smile & surprised. This location has been consistent everytime in the area. Thank u Both . Zeus R
Went late at Night, even it was packed get a table quick. Had Hector H as the Server. That’s how a Server should be, great person TOP service. The hole shift was great. This is the place to go, if you like Dennys! I love it, always again at this location!
My group of four stopped by the Denny’s on Sunset Boulevard after a fantastic show at the Greek Theatre. Craving a hearty late-night meal, we were warmly welcomed by the staff despite the bustling atmosphere. Our waitress was swift, attentive, and made sure our drinks were refilled without us having to ask. I ordered the sirloin steak, cooked medium-rare, and it was a standout—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and exactly what I needed to cap off the night. My friends raved about their dishes too, and the classic diner vibe added to the fun, relaxed mood. The service was impressively quick for a busy night, and we left satisfied and already planning our next visit. This Denny’s delivered a great experience all around!
Denny's is great. Very polite nice professional employees. The manager Sergio is great. Very good man. Mike Farrell The Hollywood musician
This place was awesome. The food was great and the service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful and beyond delightful for anyone looking for a night out. The food was great. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and the taste was just like down home alabama chicken I know of bc it is where I am originally from. The omelet I got was delicious. The place was busy but you can still just walk in and seat yourself on most occasions but someone is going to be there to let you know that with immediate menus and drinks within a few mins and a tentative waiter or waitress that will be on top of it. Roscoes Waffles and Chicken is a great place.
This restaurant was quite a treat for us. The food I had was outstanding! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the waffle was sweet and fluffy. The service was quite good. Inside the restaurant was a throw back to good old days with Motown music and lights. This was a great place to get a great meal.
We recently visited Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles for the first time and had an incredible experience. The fried chicken was incredibly flavorful, reminiscent of Pollo Campero, a renowned Guatemalan chicken restaurant. Our exceptional server, Martha, provided excellent service throughout the meal. Overall, it was a very positive and enjoyable dining experience. We decided to indulge in a feast and ended up with enough chicken to last us the entire day. We ordered four plates, each with four pieces of chicken, two mac and cheese, four pouch drinks, two waffles, and four biscuits and gravy. It was a bit over $200, but we bought enough to last us the entire day. We even took home the leftovers, which lasted us the entire day!
Man me and my family came to this location after our trip to Disneyland before we drove back home 3 weeks ago. There was a waitress there that was awesome. She literally went out in traffic to save us a parking spot. Lol after that she was our waitress while we were there and she was just as awesome at that as well, her name was Delphine and our next trip out there we will go to this location again. Nice, clean, and a great atmosphere. Thank you Delphine!!!
First time visiting the iconic Rosco’s Chicken and Waffle 🧇 🍗 We arrived at 10:30AM, and got lucky with a parking spot right in-front. We were three people and were sat right away. I had the one chicken piece with one waffle and banana pudding. It not just hype, the chicken is delicious, it was Crispy and Juicy, I was for my waffle crispy. Also had the banana pudding, I love the little chunks of waffle in it. 🍌
Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles is a soul food institution that delivers comfort with every bite. The signature combo crispy, golden fried chicken paired with fluffy, slightly sweet waffles is iconic for a reason. The seasoning on the chicken is bold and savory, while the waffles offer a warm, buttery contrast that somehow makes perfect sense. The vibe is laid back and nostalgic, with walls that echo decades of history and celebrity visits. Service is friendly, portions are generous, and the experience feels like a warm hug from LA’s culinary past. This has been around for decades! The chicken has always remained constant and the waffles, golden brown please! It’s been a part of Hollywood and a must go to for visitors. Plenty of options from greens, yams, corn bread, giblets (which I love with lemon and hot sauce), omelets, fries, potato salad, omelets and sweet potato (nata) pie to name a bunch! I first came to Roscoe’s, the small original side in 1990’s and never stopped coming in when I can. It’s such a consistent experience that whenever you have a taste for it the taste will be satisfied as you remembered it. The staff is a loyal team, friendly team and some have been there since the 1990s and like myself haven’t aged a bit :). Now I have to say it’s not the cheapest chicken or waffles in town. But it’s a staple experience that only hurts the wallet at checkout but satisfies the stomach every time you think about it. Check out the swag on the way out if you’re just visiting. Purchase a t-shirt or hat and I guarantee people are gonna want to talk to you about it! Going Back to Cali for Roscoe’s is a rally cry folks.
The drinks are the best, which we were expecting. Chicken was good. Be careful if you have high blood pressure. Delicious over all! Our family has a great time. They take care. Waffle comes with butter on it. Paid parking on street. Felt safe.

Best chicken in town! Never had a juicier chicken breast in my life! The manager was a nice gentleman. The inside had a lot of cool painting and great music.

Legendary Roscoes is the spot for amazing food and soulful environment. You can really feel the history of this place and the energy is just as satisfying as the food
I ate it at Denny's last night, but there I ate breakfast. Here I decided to get some dinner, and I saw the salmon on the menu. So I got the salmon with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. I sprinkle some lemon on the salmon, and there was literally the best salmon I've ever eaten! Talk about surprise!
The service was good and the food was also nice. Nothing fancy, but we enjoyed it. There was however a very strong smell of urine upon entering. Possibly because of the bathrooms located at the front door. We asked to be seated at the back of the restaurant which was a lot nicer smelling.

I’m from the South, so I’ve had my fair share of really good fried chicken. With that in mind, I’d say theirs is just okay. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. The chicken was crunchy, but the batter didn’t have much flavor, which made the chicken itself taste a bit bland. It might be good to try for once, but not a place I'd go often for fried chicken. The gravy, though, was really good. I’m usually not a gravy person, but I actually enjoyed this one a lot. The pancakes were pretty average—nothing special to mention. I also tried the hot chocolate. It tasted fine, but it wasn’t hot enough and was almost cold, which was a little disappointing. The place is in a nice location, but parking was definitely a hassle.
Well finally tried this place that people kept telling me about, I honestly had high hopes for this chicken and waffles, unfortunately it's ok not good or great for me at least. The other people that was with me had the same feelings about it. Corn bread was good, service was excellent, chicken was alright not juicy kinda dry and the waffles was meh. I probably won't come back but I'll give it one try and hopefully I'll have a better experience.

Lord forgive me but I tried Roscoes one last time. For real this time. When I say, over priced , over cooked and bland food. I mean it. The only thing that was OK to eat in my opinion was the waffle but its very dry. Mac n cheese was mostly just oily noodles with not much cheese. Chicken tasted like something was extremely burnt in the oil and transferred. Not very much flavor either. Then I requested ranch for my daughter's chicken strips and they didn't mention the extra charge of $2.50 then proceeded to serve me 2 full side dishes of salad dressing ranch. Our meal came to $80. Server was not attentive at all and atmosphere was just dull.

Tried their outdoor dining. It was a little bit chilli that night. The food arrive cold so it was no need to rush and eat it before it would get cold. Service here was just horribly pathetic. The lady cleaning the tables provided more help than the waitresses. Trying to get a to go box and the check. Was just like trying to find help in one of those hardware stores. No one ever came. The cleaning lady tried get someone, my wife went up front and tried. Still no one, so I went up front to pay. Believe me and that took so doing to get the check. Forget about the cold food. The cleaning lady did wipe the tables and she also wipe the seats. As most places we saw do not hit the chairs. They did allow a couple of patrons to bring their dog inside.
I am reporting an incident that happened Sunday, November 2, 2025, around 4am. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The employees at this Denny’s, especially Anna and James, acted with a level of disrespect and unprofessionalism that left me astounded. Anna, my server, was offended by my requests for small adjustments to my order due to allergies and sanitary preferences, such as lemon on the side for my hot water, light butter, and hot eggs. She claimed she had to "talk to her manger first" before providing me with fresh eggs, which I've never experienced. Anna put on a fake “customer service voice” for show, then repeatedly turned around and openly talked trash about me to her coworker James loud enough for me (and others) to hear. It was incredibly childish and unprofessional. She even had the nerve to apologize to me at one point, claiming, "we didn't want you to feel demeaned," only to IMMEDIATELY report back to James and continue talking shit about me. The cowardice and emotional manipulation displayed was profound. Things got worse when I tried to calmly address the way I was being treated. I asked James if he was the manager. He approached me already hostile, as if he had been gossiping with Anna before even speaking to me, and had already formed an opinion about me before I even voiced my concern. He was not the manager, dismissed everything I tried to say, constantly interrupted me, talked down to me, accused me of “just wanting to complain,” and actually threatened to call the police simply because I wanted to explain why their behavior was unacceptable. Two employees ganging up on a customer, mocking me, belittling me, and treating me like an inconvenience, is beyond unacceptable. Their behavior was cruel, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. I was left sitting there feeling humiliated while they continued making comments about me within earshot. No customer should be subjected to this kind of treatment. The lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic decency from both Anna and James was astonishing. I left feeling shaken and honestly disgusted by how I was treated. I had intended on waiting to speak with the manager, who wouldn't be in for another couple of hours, but ended up leaving because of how hostile, upsetting, and disrespectful the treatment was. I would never return to this location and would strongly warn others to avoid it.
I don’t even know where to start. I don’t think I’ve ever left a restaurant hungry AND with diarrhea at the same time. I order chicken thighs because it’s the juiciest part of the chicken. The lie detector test determined that was a LIE. Dry, over cooked with hardly any meat. I only took a couple of bites. The grits….. omg the amount of water in the grits and horribly undercooked. Were they trying to hydrate me or feed me? It was like they were soaked in lukewarm water and not actually cook. I did send those back. I also order a waffle. It came out cold cold not just like slightly warm but actually cold. I figure no big deal, it was just sitting up waiting for my food so I politely ask for another. It came out nice and warm how a waffle should but tastes like straight up flour. Thin and flavorless, also undercooked. Like how do you mess up a waffle and you are called chicken and waffles. No worries let’s move to the sides. The green were flavorless and burnt. I would say you can’t burn greens but then I remember my cousin burnt the greens one year at holiday dinner when we were kids. but you could at least still taste the flavor. I literally have memory loss because I died when I was 25 and had to be resuscitated. Due to how long I went without oxygen, I lost a lot of childhood, teenage and early adulthood memories. Those greens were so traumatizing that it brought back the memory of my cousin burning the greens when we were children. These greens have no meat, no onions, barely any salt and pepper. Okay okay but at least there’s Mac and cheese…. They should rename it Mac and Oil. It was literally pure oil with some scattered cheese and no seasoning what so ever. Finally I look over to the cornbread thinking you can’t mess that up right… DRY….. just dry… i literally packed it all to go. I rode almost a mile in my wheelchair to eat there just to pack it go. I got home tried to add some seasonings so I wouldn’t waste my $36 plus tip because it’s not the servers fault the food sucked. He was nice and I feel like he low key try to warn me. No seasonings could help that food. It literally went in the trash. All of it. Wasn’t worth my calories, my time, my heartache my heartbreak. They disrespected my ancestors. Shame and dishonor on everyone in that kitchen. Y’all knew better. Yall lucky yall were at least friendly because I would have left that food on the table, Zelle’d my server and left. I should press charges for my mental anguish. This happened yesterday and I just got off the toilet from the few bites I did take. We were rooting for you Roscoe! We were all rooting for you! How dare you. I’ve never called a restaurant out like this. Learn something from this, in my Tyra Banks voice. I want a refund. 😩

What people say about Roscoes's chicken
Hollywood's Comfort King: Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles
Alright, let's talk about a true Hollywood institution that always delivers: Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. If you've spent any time cruising through the city, you've probably heard the buzz, and let me tell you, it's well-deserved. This isn't just a place to eat; it's a slice of Southern comfort served up right here in the heart of Tinseltown.I've heard from folks who've popped in for lunch with family, and others who've found themselves there late at night when the city is quieting down. The b...
Your Essential Hollywood Stop: Roscoe's Chicken
