2021 Update: My original review was about a very good experience, but it was generic. I would like to update this to compliment the amazing staff. I ordered online (but not from the App) and for some reason, my card was charged, but the order was not going thru to the store. They really went above and beyond to help me and when they made my smoothies they were fantastic. I have added the app to my phone! 2020 ...Friendly staff. Smoothies are great. And they have a nice selection of flavors and add ons.
Went there in the morning and the place was very neat and clean. The worker Arianna was very sweet and welcomed me and other guests very kindly and worked on each smoothie as quick as possible all by herself!
Wow! Such a fantastic substitute for a heavy meal and waaaay more healthy!! Chakita was great! She is not only pleasant but super friendly and just made the whole experience better!! Don't sleep on this location Homewood!!!
I work late and go in to get my meal replacement. Last night I went in and got my usual from James. I got to work and had almost finished my smoothie and noticed a handwritten message on my cup. “You got this!” It made me smile. Working in the service industry, he went the extra mile and brightened up my day! Thank you James and Smoothie King.
Always fresh smoothie or bowl and friendly staff. Rarely ever have a long wait.
Melissa was amazing! Great customer service, she was all by herself yet held down the store with ease. Greeted every customer as they walked in and carefully handled the products. The smoothies I ordered(2 Vanilla Hulks with peanut butter) were just right.
I recently visited Smoothie King and was thoroughly impressed! The wide variety of smoothies cater to all tastes and dietary preferences. I tried the Gladiator Strawberry smoothie, and it was delicious and filling. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose the best smoothie for my needs. I also appreciate the added health benefits, like protein and vitamins, in their smoothies. I'll definitely be coming back!
Love being able to come here on a hot day for a refreshing smoothie. 9/10 times its delicious. Today the staff was so nice and on top of things!! Told me to sign up for their rewards program so I got $2 off today!! Enjoyed a Greek yogurt smoothie and peanut butter power plus. Much better than planet smoothie down the street.
I am sitting the parking lot right now trying not to go off on the class-less female who through my order at me! Other customers were also appalled. She is a short black with braids. She was extremely rude and had an attitude when taking my order. She didn’t greet me just looked at me like,”what do you want”? I’ve never seen this woman a day in my life! 6/24/25 @4:46
I've been going to this location since 2021. It used to be my favorite location in the Bham area because parking was easy and smoothies were good and quick. The past few months, the service has plummeted. They are the complete opposite to how they were before. Now days, when I place an order, there is an issue. One moment it's the card reader, next the blenders are down, then they don't have an ingredient to make 15 smoothies on the menu. It's exhausting, but I would just take it because I was loyal. I was a shift leader at Smoothie King when I was younger, and it was my FAVORITE job of all times. So whenever this location was slammed, or they were having a hard time, I would be patient because I remembered those times. The last time, I bought a smoothie at Homewood, the new girl messed up my smoothie. (It's okay your new and everyone makes mistakes no big deal.) I already left the site and was heading to work before I realized the mistake. I didn't have time to go back immediately, so I called them to notify the mistake. The person I spoke to was the manager and she was super nice over the phone. She offered to issue me a refund. Great!... Then, I got sick and after recovering, I got busy, so I wasn't able to go back to this location until 3 weeks later. I was hoping that if they weren't able to refund me because of the time delay, they would just give me a replacement smoothie. Simple right! NO. The manager on duty, Pulkit, refused both options and offered 30% off instead. I felt whipped lashed. I told him I wasn't satisfied with that offer. I tried to pull up my Smoothie King history log on the app, but he did not care. I was very upset because this is a company I truly care about. When I was a shift leader, I would have never left a customer feeling the way that I felt. VERY disappointing seeing a manager treat customers as if they are scammers. It's a smoothie.
Every time I stop by this location, the team says they can’t do something. Once, it was online orders only, then not was cash only, and today it was we can’t make bowls at the moment because we haven’t had time to prepare the mix. What’s worse is the team members don’t seem to care. I’ve watched customers walk out the door because this location has an issue. Hope it gets better. Taking my business to the Green Springs location where they have excellent service and issue free.
Just close this location down. It’s a health threat to society. Flies everywhere. All the blenders were filthy, the floor, and all the workers did not wash their hands. It was a mess in there. The girls had attitudes, because they had to come out the back and work. Horrible. Go to tropical smoothie way better.
I was extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism at this smoothie location. When I arrived, the employee was wearing pink Beats by Dre headphones and seemed irritated that I was trying to place an order while she was listening to music. She also argued with me, insisting they didn’t have pea protein. When I asked her to check the ingredients in the vegan protein, she looked at the package and realized it did, in fact, contain pea protein. Her attitude worsened after that, and it was clear she wasn’t pleased to be corrected. Whoever manages this franchise should seriously consider retraining the staff or hiring new employees, as the current level of service is unacceptable.
This was my 1st experience with Smoothie King and it will surely be my last!!! The two young ladies working were not friendly at all, then after spending 25.00 for 2 smoothies we were informed they did not have a public restroom. I asked not even for paying customers & was told no. I will definitely be keeping my business with Tropical Smoothie!!!
i’m really disappointed with this location. they clearly have their hours posted as closing at 9, the open sign was still on, and the doors were literally open — but an employee told me they “close at 8.” if you’re going to change your hours, update them. if not, don’t lie to customers who are just trying to grab a smoothie. super unprofessional and frustrating. not coming back to this location anytime soon. it seems other reviews agree... bad customer service
Got 4 smoothies and all were equally terrible. All 4 didn't taste anything like the ingredients listed and they all tasted watered down We got 2 kids Choc-a-laka. they separated and curdled. they looked gross and the kids refused to drink them. Also, the amount shown in the picture is what we were given. The kids each took one sip and would drink no more the immune mixed berry was equally watery, tasted bitter and did not have any detectable berry flavor. we also ordered a Mango Fest but ended up with something completely different... we are not even sure what it is, but the receipt says 'Lil Angel'. Go to Planet Smoothie instead. Their ingredients are better and their smoothies do not taste watered down.
Made it there at 840 (20 mins before closing) and was told they can’t take my order because they already started shutting stuff down. I’ve never had any issues with other locations being that the locations don’t close until 9pm on Tuesdays. this is extremely frustrating and bad customer service. I will not be back
Just waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Employees give 0% at this location. Only 2 people waiting for their smoothies when we arrived.
The customer service was nice overall. But there are bugs flying all over the ingredients and the worker fixing my smoothie wiped his nose with his hand and continued to fix my smoothie... that’s definitely not something you want to see when you’re craving a smoothie from smoothie king! I threw that smoothie away just because I didn’t feel comfortable drinking it..
