This was my first time trying their afternoon tea, and my boyfriend and I had such a good experience. You can choose either two hot teas or one cold tea, we chose the two hot teas and tried Earl Grey, Marco Polo, and Afternoon in Paris. All of them were really good and so fragrant. The food was beautiful and thoughtfully presented. Everything looked almost too pretty to eat! The staff took the time to explain each item to us, and they were all so kind and welcoming. I was hoping they would have macarons, but I guess the menu changes regularly. Still, it was such a lovely experience overall. Definitely a must-visit if you want a cute and relaxing afternoon tea experience.
MUST COME!! Don't let anything stop you from coming here. Whether you just want good coffee and dessert or a bite to eat, this is your stop. The Food, I didn't try any of the savoury foods besides the beef empanadas so I can't say for the quality of those but they all looked good and had a good amount of variety with a few different choices each day. The beef empanadas were a bit salty but tasted good. They are a good snack when your kinda hungry or something quick after a few hrs on the beach. The coffee, get the salted caramel latte, I got decaf and oat milk and it was the smoothest rich coffee taste(not the too sugary stuff you get elsewhere) especially the first sip with the foam...best coffee I had on Oahu! The second time I got it, there was a bit too much salt which gave it a bite at the end of the cup, so it may depend on who makes it. I also tried the Honey latte with oat milk which wasn't as strong of a coffee flavour as the other so I would get an extra shot of espresso with that one next time. The desserts, the almond croissant and Basque cheesecake were favorites 😍 😋 The texture and flavors were right on. Smooth and creamy cheesecakes with just the right amount of baked sides. The croissant is buttery and flaky and has an almost cake like textured almond covering on it plus more almond paste in the croissant. The pumpkin cheesecake was a great seasonal choice and tasted almost as if it was made with real pumpkin!? For sugar addicts it may have been too bland though as I didn't find it having that strong sugary flavoury that most boxed cheesecakes have. A MUST stop on your travels in Oahu! Enjoy!!
Great experience with my friend for their afternoon tea. Made a reservation a week prior for a Thursday 3pm. Complimentary valet parking at the Ritz (just need cash tip). We were surprised at how small the second floor was for seating. There was a large 8-person group and then maybe 3 sets of pairs. The staff was very friendly and helped explain everything. We chose the hot teas for more variety: Fauchon apple, Hobbs spicy chai, Marco Polo and Whittard Darjeeling. Raisin scone was alright, not super moist which is typical. But the second course sweet potato soup was so delish! The savory tray had a yummy variety, our favs were the smoked salmon and chicken curry. The dessert tray was pretty! We loved all but the lilikoi dome stood out! Ended with pineapple li hing mui sorbet before given a cute little cookie bag. Afterwards shopped downstairs for their exclusive merch! Would love to come back again when I’m back visiting.
What a great find for fantastic food choices. The salads, sandwiches, personal pizzas and cakes were amazing! The staff is friendly, lots of seating outside. But these best part is the price! Definitely A great option in Honolulu.
Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced for the area. The staff was on point. They knew our name from the first visit to the last. We tried a lot of the food. Amazing and a staff that cares. A big shout out to Karen for being so nice to us.
I absolutely love this cafe. It is the one located at Ritz Carlton in Waikiki. I went there just before lunch and there was a bit of line up however it went by really quickly. The cashier was very friendly and polite. She explained some of the items on the menu really well. I had the musubi of the day, grilled cheese for my daughter and salt caramel blended coffee ( sorry this may not be the exact name) The musubi is more of a snack size, no surprise there; was a little disappointed with the filling tho it tasted good. Grilled cheese is a decent size and my daughter rated it 5 out of 5. I love my coffee, blended to perfection and just the right amount of sweetness. I just wished I didn’t share with my husband since I could definitely finish the whole thing. There’s lots of great selection especially the sweets, lots of cool merchandise from mugs to tote bags, a bit pricey for me so I didn’t pick up anything. There’s also plenty of seating outside; has a relaxed atmosphere, people watching vibe. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Hawaii and I highly recommend visiting this location.
May 2025 Well established NY food retail purveyor with a very unique selection fkr Hawaiian visitors. Store is nearby the Ritz Carlton Residences entrance and driveway. Well stocked store with two separate takeaway stations for meals and bakery products. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Counter cashier from Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan was a cheerful and helpful server and a welcoming spirit. 😀 Merchandise is worth purchasing especially as gifts and souvenirs. Dining tables are outdoors.
In my opinion, this resturant should have at least 1 Michelin star. The dance of flavors, and the presentation were amazing. Kaitlyn's service was natural and genuine. Dean and DeLuca is a gem that needs to be appreciated.
We absolutely love DEAN & DELUCA in Hawaii! It's a wonderful cafe with a fantastic selection of desserts that we’ve enjoyed many times. For breakfast, their avocado toast with eggs became one of our go-to choices, and we had it several times during our visits. The cafe offers a convenient seating area, and we’ve always been able to find a table without any trouble, which is a big plus. The location is great too—easy to get to and perfect for a relaxed start to the day. They offer a wide variety of teas and delicious coffee, which we highly recommend. The only downside is that the service can be a bit slow sometimes, but the quality of the food and drinks more than makes up for it. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hawaii. I only wish DEAN & DELUCA would reopen in New York City—it would be amazing to have them back!
The afternoon tea here is an absolute steal. I’d come back for the service alone but the food and atmosphere were phenomenal! I waited til 2pm to eat so I could be extra hungry and all those little bites ended being way more filling than I had expected. I loved sharing tiny delicious bites with my girls and the coffee and boozy drinks were fantastic. The presentation was beautiful and our waitress was the ultimate hype woman. Everyone working there was so pleasant and they validate the valet parking so it was probably the least stressed I’ve ever been parking in Waikiki. Overall, fantastic experience for afternoon tea, especially for the price!
Enjoyed the new afternoon tea in the Artisan Loft upstairs. Fantastic wait staff. Nice selection of teas or cold drinks to choose from followed by 5 courses of savoury and sweet plates. All prepared fresh. Quite different to a traditional high tea. Something for all tastes. Very mild flavours. Would recommend for a treat. Reasonably priced at $60pp.
Wow their beef pot pie and chocolate croissant is super good!!!😋 White mocha frappucino was also very tasty. The staffs were all friendly and welcoming. I love this café!
I should’ve walked into here day 1 of my arrival! It’s a cute little spot under the Ritz and has amazing pastries, lunch, and merchandise. Husband and I needed a quick bite before our next activity and really enjoyed his ham, salami sandwich (toasted!) and I loved my sweet potato croissant (warmed up). The buttery soft croissant with a bit of actual sweet potato inside was such a great morning treat. I also had a hot cocoa that wasn’t too sweet and perfect to go with the quick breakfast. Pricing is also quite reasonable! They have such cute packaging on all their merch too! I will be back before I head home 😁 Update: we also tried the matcha croissant, blueberry French toast, and almond brioche today. The blueberry French toast is now my new favorite here :) make sure you get it toasted! will have to try more before we leave tomorrow!
Excellent little coffee shop connected to the Ritz Carlton. This place has great artisan pastries and smooth coffee. Their outdoor seating is lovely. It's an excellent low-key area to enjoy a light breakfast.
The service is amazing and friendly with great attention to details. The valet parking is complimentary for 3 hrs with validation. The 5 course afternoon tea is scrumptious and worth the visit. The sandwiches and desserts were well planned and tasty. The pomme tea was fruity and light. I have a caffeine sensitive and I did not have any issues. The demitasse was flavorful and to die for. I will definitely be back.
Dean and Deluca is located just at the entrance of The Ritz Carlton. We had a great experience. The assistant manager's customer service was exceptional and personable. We ordered breakfast - ham croissants and lattes. It was delicious and was ready pretty quickly. The store was clean and immaculate. Many goods to offer, including exclusive to Hawaii items.
I celebrated my birthday with a couple of my friends! We had an excellent time. Dustyn our waiter was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an wonderful experience. The food and wine was delicious.
The coffee is good and strong and super tasty croissants. Be there early to grab one before they run out. The chocolate loaf was yummy and also good selection of cookies. They have outdoor sitting as well.
I bought a bag here two days ago, and when I checked it, I noticed that the stitching on the handle had come loose. So I came back to the store to exchange it. Pamella, the assistant manager, was very kind and helped me with the exchange smoothly. I really appreciate her professional and friendly attitude.
The happy hour is always fun times. The pastry is incredible with great flavors. I bought some sort of smoked sea salt that never seen anywhere else and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend going here and trying everything they have
🔥 Great snack sized food at very reasonable prices and amazing gift sets, teas, cups, and high end souvenirs to bring home! I grabbed a signature D&D bag and the staff at every visit was super friendly and helpful! A must visit for coffee lovers and those looking for quality gifts! ❤️
This popular location is right outside the Ritz Carlton in Waikiki. The pastries are made fresh daily onsite so I would make sure you grab a croissant or something. Enjoy!
When I come to Hawaii for seven or eight days, breakfast is for this shop every morning. My favorite is that the one in Figure 2 looks like a McMuffin. The portion is not very large, which is very suitable for normal person. The taste is also similar to that of a wheat full score, but there is a little pepper in the meat pie, and the bread is also relatively rough. Not only that, the dried fruit is also worth a try in this shop. It completely retains the original taste of the fruit, but it is a little expensive.
Stopped by before it was time to fly home. I had their pumpkin pie cheesecake it was amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staff members and atmosphere was delightful. Definitely will be visiting again.
Came for our night desserts. Very yummy.
Delicious pastry, ice-cream, coffee and sandwiches
Excellent Place to get Cheesecakes! They have a varieties of different flavors changes everyday! So much to try! Glad they opened back since the pandemic. Alohā!
Perfect #holidaymealKit. We have tried their meal kits twice: Thanksgiving and Aloha Aina Meal kit. Great portion. Reasonably priced. And they are beautifully packaged and presented. I loved the fact they use local ingredients mainly. This will also make a great gift - to family and friends who have to celebrate holidays separately. #covidSafe
Absolutely loved their coffee of the month (jan) Zesty Orange Mocha Latte. The staff working here was so friendly and helped me to find this amazing place right opposite this store for cheap overnight car parking (this is rare in hawaii!). Before visiting this place I was paying $37 for overnight parking but the place opposite helped to bring that cost down 40%.
Cute little coffee shop under the Ritz so it was easy to swing by and get a coffee + small snack. They have cool gifts and snacks you can buy, and the service was really nice too. I got the Kona blend coffee which tasted really good, and also got the blueberry cheesecake macaron and guava macaron. I would stop by again as a quick coffee run.
We ordered the charcuterie board and it was better than I expected! The presentation was beautiful and the selection was delicious. The staff was so pleasant. Wonderful experience - will definitely order again!
Excellent coffee, fantastic pastry line up and some very exquisite desserts. I did not try that restaurant upstairs but the cafe is wonderful.
Whenever I come to Hawaii, I always have breakfast here. The avocado toast is just the right size, and the sweets are less sweet than those at other places, making them easier to eat.
It is a gourmet coffee and pastry place. The pastry and cafe foods were delicious and the coffee was great. If Starbucks had a Michelin Star restaurant it would be this place. Pot pie and cheese cake were delicious.
Great little coffee shop plus bakery. The coffee here is very good and fair market Love the Jazz music. The staff are professionally dressed, and are pleasant. This is a place of quality.
The afternoon tea was Hawaiian inspired sourced with local ingredients. It consisted of delicious sweet and savory bites. The matcha lilikoi iced latte was amazing and the whole experience was memorable.
Dean & DeLuca, a New York City culinary landmark, has long been celebrated for its curated selection of gourmet foods, artisanal ingredients, and specialty products. Founded in 1977 in SoHo, the store quickly became a destination for food enthusiasts seeking high-quality cheeses, charcuterie, fresh baked goods, and international delicacies. Its sleek, upscale interior reflects a refined aesthetic that matches the premium quality of its offerings, making shopping here feel like a culinary adventure.
It was amazing until the Tsunami Warning cut our experience short. We were on the second course and we were given the unfortunate news that the staff needed to shut down because the state issued Tsunami Warnings. Highly understandable. I believe the staff were also rushing to get home and stay safe and they packed the rest of our courses with tremendous care, but I wish I was able to get our teas and whatever July promo there was but I don't think we did. Eh. It's ok. Maybe next time. It was an amazing experience; got cut short unfortunately. This won't be the last afternoon tea. Hope u folks got home safely.
Dean & Deluca has high quality specialty foods & other items for sale. The espresso was quickly produced and fine, but nothing too exciting for the price. This location has large windows, plenty of exterior seating, and gets tons of foot traffic in Waikiki. The employees are friendly and quick to serve you. It’s a high quality & eccentric bodega essentially…so no complaints but I’ll go somewhere else for specialty coffee at that price 🤙🏼
5 course afternoon tea at the Ritz Carlton Dean and Deluca in Waikiki?! And I had never been until my birthday week this year? Crazy!!! Apparently this tea time has been around for a couple of years! Some items on the menu items do change but the core is the same. The restaurant offers a free 3-hour parking validation with their hotel valet (only accessible from Kalakaua side). Just make sure to bring cash tip. They take you upstairs to the dine in side, as downstairs is purely bakeshop. Service is excellent. You have a choice of either 1 coffee/iced tea option or 2 hot tea options per person. I chose a German "Green Angel" which was a fruity green tea *with notes of pear. The second tea I chose was a light black tea "Afternoon in Paris" with notes of Rose Petals and Vanilla. Both were beautiful and my teapot was refilled multiple times without me asking. First course of a petit scone with cream and jam was very nice. I didn't care for the second course of the seafood "pot pie". The seafood bisque was too fishy and unpleasant. And the saffron seasoning didn't help. Third course was the savory small bites/tea sandwiches. Some were better than others. Some of the items change from time to time. Definitely best were the shrimp on rosemary/herbs foccacia and the ratatouille jelly slices. Least favorite was the katsu sandwich and the edamame stuffed mushroom cap. Not well executed at all. Fourth course was a tray of sweets including a rose cream puff (not bad!), rose infused macaron (beautiful!), matcha chocolate cake bite (very good!), etc. My least favorits were definitely the lemon curd tart and the pistachio cake with fresh raspberries. Couldn't finish everything so they generously packaged everything up nicely. The fifth and last course of the yuzu sorbet was so freshing and delicious! They gave out complimentary cookies and 2 tea packets each. It is a beautiful way to treat yourself and converse with a group as well. Very easy parking and excellent service I'd expect from an establishment housed at a Ritz-Carlton. Would come back to treat others.
The store atmosphere and environment are nice but the salted caramel latte is just mediocre. Its even more expensive than kona.
We attended afternoon tea and also stopped downstairs for treats a couple of times. Some pastries were really yummy while others kind of lacked flavor. The service was excellent all around though! The tea room upstairs was really warm and could use a little tweaking to make the vibe a little more fitting for the occasion (in my personal opinion).
We ordered the strawberry cheesecake and mango mousse cake. My husband and I looked at eachother and laughed so hard after our first bite. The strawberry cheesecake was good without the strawberry jam on top.. the strawberry jam on top tasted just like the one they gave me at McDonald's for my biscuit. The mango mousse cake was so dry.. and barely had any flavor. It was absolutely not worth over 7.50 a piece. We could only laugh at how we payed so much for one slice, expecting it to taste delicious based off some other reviews. It is definitely not worth it, we've tried so many bakeries in the past and this is one we would never come back to. Maybe the coffee is better?
You could easily improve this place by replacing it with a Starbucks. First, it’s not open until 7am. Second, at 6:30am THERE IS A LINE AROUND THE BUILDING. There comes a point where marketing becomes priority over basics including service, and here is a perfect example.
We went this morning for a coffee and food and the old woman who made the coffee was so rude and she made terrible coffee. The young guy who served us was also rude and unpleasant. The young girls who were serving yesterday were great! What a shame the service today was so poor that ruin the experience.
The cashier has no idea how to count money back. My order was lost and so unorganized.
So incredibly disappointed with the service and attitude of staff at this location. The lady behind the counter was so rude to my twelve year old son when he asked for help. I will not be back.
Very disappointed to order a $12 sandwich with clearly very old bread. Although well presented, on eating it crumbled apart and was stale bread. Not impressed as this chain presents self as a boutique brand
Came in for a quick coffee and chai latte. The cashier Was rude off the bat and had no aloha spirit. We placed our order and she did not ask if wanted them cold or hot since we had forgotten. After we caught it, she got flustered and called on a younger employee to fix the issue. Once it was resolved, she had given our drinks with an annoyed look and once we said thank you, she Mhm us with no eye contact. I believe her name was stephanie. Oh and the vanilla latte was awful.
The employee was very rude. I asked for a price check since there was no sign that showed the price. She snapped back at me saying I need to go to the cashier. It was very unprofessional and caught me off guard. They need to retrain the employees on proper customer service from the manger down. I don’t understand why I need to be treated like the way I did when I was a paying customer at the establishment.
