This restaurant definitely lives up to its name! The broth is so good! If I don’t have to add fish sauce, to me, that means it’s really really good! I also love when the veggies come with the sliced banana leaf and cabbage vs lettuce. These are a must have for me. All their drinks are super tasty as well. And they are super fast! I wish the appetizers comes out before the main course. I don’t know why a lot of Asian restaurants do this, but they like to bring out the apps and main courses out at the same time, lol. But all in all the food was great. Friendly staff. If you’re looking to get a quick bun bo hue fix, definitely come here!

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant close to Hobby airport for convenient after a long flight, come in and get a bowl of bún bò huế, it’s a famous Vietnamese dish. The soup is rich and very tasty briskets, and vegies..well have a large bowl, I bet you’ll love it. Many other good dishes including phở tái, lemongrass beef, bún thịch nướng chả giò, mì quảng và mùi chanh, cà phê đen are also good. There are many Vietnamese dishes that this restaurant may not have and are great like Cơm tấm ( broken rice instead of steam rice), mì sào giòn (crispy noodles) hủ tiếu áp chảo. I would recommend adding the above items to menu and additional Vietnamese smoothie drinks. The more items on menu will also bring more business to restaurant. The staffs are friendly and fast service are great plus at this wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. Many people came to this restaurant for the famous bún bò huế. I would still recommend this restaurant for you if you from out of town visiting Houston! After a long day from work or lunch time that you need a new different perspective taste, come in this restaurant and enjoy Asian, Vietnamese food.👍😎

Ahhh love me some BBH! We just landed and first thing I wanted was something soupy and comforting. Perfect place. It wasn’t too busy on. Saturday afternoon so we got sat right away. I got the small bowl and the mister got the regular (medium) size. Both looked plentiful! Man o man how I’ve missed it. The other locations over the years has fell short of flavor and this spot always gets it right. Perfect amount of spice and super savory. Also very aromatic too! Love the fresh veggies with it, we had to ask for a 2nd plate because the mister didn’t wanna share! lol no worries. Service was quick and efficient. Very friendly. $17 and some change for 2 bowls was a very affordable and delish lunch!

First time here and it was definitely confusing but still enjoyed it as the food and drinks were spot on. I love eating bun bo hue but my boyfriend on the other hand doesn't. Surprisingly this place was so good that we came back the next day because he wanted to eat it again. Highly recommend trying this place out if you want something different from pho.

Very spacious and relatively clean. Shared a Bum Bo Hue with a friend. Soup was savory with thick noodles and fresh meat. Spring rolls were delicious and had good form. Thai tea was okay. Had too much ice, tapioca was a bit undercooked in some of them, and clumped together. Not a bad place overall, but could do better on the tea.

Celebrated dad's early birthday Sunday here with the family. The soup is yummy and flavorful. I also had thai tea and it was really good. It gets really busy here on the weekends but the service is quick.

I've been here on a few occasions, it can smell fishy on some days and not others. My last visit, it was rather dirty towards the back of the restaurant. Our vegetables weren't all fresh either, in the photo you can see all of the browned red onion I picked out. Was disappointed in the pigs feet in both our bowls not having any bone marrow. Upon leaving, I saw them only offer a togo option to some customers, 15 min. before closing time even though the food is served within minutes of ordering.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions so here is mine.The food is alright at best. The bun bo hue of course is the best dish they have since the restaurant is literally named after the soup. It is very flavorful and if I was just rating the soup by itself I would have given it a 4 star. It could use alittle bit more noodles and meat. It feels that they are really skimping on it especially since I ordered a large. The egg rolls are alright not the best but not the worst. The com with meat I am sorry but it was very disregracful to be serving that and representing the culture. It looks alright in the picture but the taste is not there. The meat seem to taste almost spoiled. The spring rolls was probably the biggest let down of them all. The pork in the spring rolls it seems to be chopped up left over trimmings from the com with meat. The atmosphere is alittle dirty and musty in what I seen. It seems that the staff due the bare minimum to try to clean it but did not finish the job. It also seems alittle unorganized especially if you have just staff sitting at the far table on their phones and with playing cards on the table. The staff and service is 100% a 1 star. They don't welcome you or even bring you a menu. It was my first time in and they walked up to me like I was suppose to know what I want without even looking at the menu. I had to ask for the menu and even afterwards they never check up on you to see how the food is or even refills on drinks. Once they drop food off at your table, might as well wave bye because you won't see them till you need to pay. I would not be coming back here to eat again but everyone is entitled to their opinion so go try it and let me know if you agree or disagree with me!

Very authentic Vietnamese restaurant with very limited food options, a lot of bubble tea selections, and NO pho Taste is below average Staff knows basic English As expected “homie” inside

I’m not really a person to give ratings but this place was so disappointing in so many ways. either they changed owners or cooks. this place used to be good until today. Their pho was spoiled , so sour that I’m surprised that they even served it. the com was not good either. the meat looked like it was marinating for days. the rice was slimy. who messes up rice when that’s what we eat on a daily basis. the main dish that they serve which is bun Bo hue. this place made Asian culture look bad. the broth tasted like they poured ice water and served it with some slimy noodles. As a Vietnamese person , I’m embarrassed. if you love ice water and slimy noodles then feel free to eat , that’s a choice .

I had placed an order through phone earlier today on 07/09/2025. You could clearly tell from the phone that the employee was not enthusiastic to take my orders. She hung up on me as I was saying thank you to her. I didn’t mind much until I took my sister to pick the food up. The person who gave our orders was a young woman with dyed hair. She was extremely rude. I didn’t really appreciate her attitude. I can try and be understanding since I also work in the hospitality industry, but work is work and you have to be professional. This young woman was not professional. If this keeps up, I would rather support another bun Bo hue place.
