Cafe Mawal is a true local gem! When we moved to the area my husband & I tried it because he likes hookah. We were blown away by the service, which was very attentive & the hookah was continually refreshed. Aside from the beautiful atmosphere, the food is incredible! Very reasonably priced with generous portions, it's so tasty as well. Everything is fresh & so flavorful, I'm getting hungry just writing this review. What put Cafe Mawal over the top for me is that we recently had guests from out of town & needed to feed a large number within a few hours. Not only was the food quality superb & the price very reasonable, but it was ready much sooner than expected. This place is amazing & I hope they never change, it's become a staple for us & we recommend them to everyone.

This is my go-to Mediterranean and hookah spot. The food is so good I’m already excited for my leftovers before I’m even halfway done. Portions are huge. Prices are kind. A lot of people come during the day to eat, work, and enjoy a hookah break. The WiFi is strong too. You won’t regret stopping by for food or a relaxing hookah session.

I was recently hospitalized with anemia and wanted something to boost hemoglobin fast. Although this takes time, I’ve been feeling better and better with 3 meals now including this beef liver dish. I ordered and tried for the first time their beef liver. My body must have needed it. I really liked it! It was so flavorfully cooked with the sauce that it really didn’t have a strong distasteful flavor. It was perfectly cooked in my opinion, it seemed stewed. I called it in an picked it up within the hour it was hot and fresh and delicious. Along with the tabulah and hummus with pita it made a perfect meal for a malnourished girl to enjoy. Thank you for cooking great food.

We checked out Mawal Café in Webster, TX and had a great experience. We originally went to try the hookah, but ended up ordering some food as well, and I’m glad we did. The shawarma wrap was solid. It came with fries, which were surprisingly good. I’d give the shawarma an 9/10 and the fries a 10/10. We also had the manakeesh with za’atar and cheese, and that was excellent. They used authentic Middle Eastern cheese and high-quality za’atar, definitely a 10/10. The Iraqi tea was a standout. It came in a pot with two small glasses and was served with honey. The mint and cardamom gave it a really nice flavor, 10/10 for sure. We tried the Knafeh. It was very good. A little bit too sweet. Maybe next time we will order the syrup on the side, 9 of 10. As for the hookah, it was top notch. Well prepared and the hookahs are good quality 10/10. The vibe of the place is cozy and relaxed. There’s outdoor seating, which looked nice, though it was too hot during the day. I imagine it’s perfect in the evening. The staff were super friendly, without being pushy, and always had a smile. Big thanks to Kenny for the excellent service, really appreciated! Overall, I definitely recommend Mawal Café. I’ll be coming back.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for solid 8 years and probably ate here at least once a month.They serve delicious and really healthy foods.From grilled meats, salad, hummus, rice,Turkish coffee and tea is rated 5 star in my opinion.They are the best and one of my favorite restaurant in Houston.I am not a big fan of cold drinks but the smoothie (kasamiro/mint smoothie is my favorite, my daughter love the strawberry and my husband love their Mideast mango) is a must try. The dessert is the best (different crepe and baklava) are my personal favorites.Clean and neat ambiance, spacious dine in & plenty of outdoor tables and chairs. The service is 5 star for sure (very attentive and friendly) and the manager is very nice as well. You should give it a try and you will not disappoint!!!
