Cozy little place with great food! Our waiter was sweet and the komeya beef red ramen was delicious. Thank you for the nice service!
This is my go-to sushi place. Seating is limited but worth the wait. I always get the Kemah roll and the yellowtail hand roll! Fish is always fresh. Their ramen is also good.
I love this place!! They have tons of Mango and Vanilla Mochis and hand deliver them to your car!! My kids love the Ramen Noodles! Just like “Maruchan” because the veggies are always placed on the side! So easy for a mom like me!☺️They always make my day!
Komeya is a hidden gem for ramen and sushi lovers, offering a cozy and casual atmosphere that feels welcoming from the moment you step inside. While the space is small and intimate, it’s a lively spot that fills up quickly especially during dinner hours so arriving early is a smart move. The menu is packed with flavorful dishes, but the spicy beef ramen is a standout, boasting a rich, deeply seasoned broth with just the right amount of heat. It’s a comforting bowl that delivers on both spice and depth of flavor. The green chicken curry is another must-try, with a creamy, aromatic sauce that perfectly complements the tender chicken. If you’re in the mood for sushi, Komeya does not disappoint. Their rolls are not only fresh but also creative and fun, making each bite an enjoyable surprise. Service is handled by a young and energetic team that keeps the mood light and engaging. They’re friendly, attentive, and quick to offer recommendations, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. The only downside is the parking situation Komeya’s lot fills up fast, so be prepared to circle the area or consider alternative transportation during peak hours. But once you’re inside, the food and atmosphere make it well worth any hassle. Whether you’re in the mood for a steaming bowl of ramen, a flavorful curry, or a unique sushi roll, Komeya delivers a consistently delicious experience that keeps customers coming back. Highly recommended!
We tried to find restaurants on Valentines Day but everywhere had a wait time of 30 minutes or longer. When we came here there was barely any wait time and we got to enjoy fresh and quality sushi. Out of all sushi restaurants I ate at in this area, this is my now go-to spot. It's small and has the nice cozy izakaya vibe.
One of the best ramen restaurants I've ever been to. The location is wonderful, the store is very clean, the atmosphere calming, and their staff is very kind and sweet! Their black tonkotsu ramen is so rich, and delicious. Their takoyaki is absolutely superb. And their sushi tastes divine! I cannot suggest the honeymoon roll, the Houston roll, and the spider roll enough! Also be sure to ask about their Hayley roll, it's an absolute treat! Would absolutely come here any time I'm in the area!
Hands down the BEST sushi in the area! Not one thing was bad, staff were friendly and very attentive. 10/10 would recommend to anyone asking us where to eat good sushi, and would definitely come back! We ordered 4 dishes enough to feed 3-4, but there were only the two of us! It was such a delightful treat.
So glad we found this place, 10/10! One of the best ramen places I’ve been to. The prices are much better than Jinya and the food is as good, if not better. Jinya is just “trendier”. Komaya is calm and cozy; feels very traditional. We will definitely be coming here a lot. Sundays are happy hour all day! Servers are very friendly. We had the gyoza, spring rolls, shaggy dog sushi roll, Tonkotsu black ramen, and the Chashu Don rice bowl. The Chashu pork was perfect, wasn’t too fat and great portion.
Amazing little gem that you wouldn't even know is there from the outside. It is super cute inside - there are booths as well, which I didn't capture in my photo. I had hot jasmine tea, which was lovely and spicy beef ramen. I don't typically like to leave my comfort zone (food wise) but I'm so glad I did! The ramen was so delicious! Even with all the extras that I weren't sure what they were. Highly recommend you try it out! They have sushi as well, so I will have to come back to try that out next time.
Very strong 5 Stars !!! I pass by here daily and never thought to stop until today and I highly suggest you try !!!! The classical music was beautiful and very relaxing. Our service was great and the food 🤤. Gyozas had a perfect crunch, the shaggy dog was the best we’ve had and the sushi was fresh and tasteful 🤤 definitely recommended !!!
Such a great find! The food is flavorful fresh and very well priced. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the chef was very nice. He was out working on the sushi bar while we were there. Perfect place for a quick bite or even a quiet date night. I will absolutely be back.
I've been to Komeya multiple times, but it's been a while between my most recent visit & the previous. The food quality appears to have a diminished a bit, but you'll still get a solid ramen bowl. Could've been an off day. Unfortunately, the service was not the greatest a single person was bussing what appeared to be 6 tables + the bar seating. Multiple people left due to not being serviced. Hoping this was just a one off situation & Komeya tries to keep at least two waiters servicing their guests. I would definitely come back but if I experience repeat bad service, that would likely be the last time.
I've been here quite a few times, and it's always been good and fresh, but this last time I went, it was a little lackluster.... The food was good, but the spicy tuna wasn't spicy at all, no heat level at all, and the Ramen was a bit bland, almost tasted like it was just seasoned with salt and that's it... Like I've said before, I've eaten here before and the food was always great, must've just went on a bad day, and for that reason I will be back... Don't let my review keep you from trying this place and checking to see if you like it or not, they usually serve great sushi and ramen... Outside of the food, the restaurant is a small homey place, interior is lined with Japanese heritage of course, but like i said, it is quite small, and probably not meant for a big family lunch or dinner.
3.3 out of 5 Good sushi. Don't recommend the lomein or hot entrees as they are mostly disappointing. Update 4/24/25 Was hoping to try this place again but unfortunately our server got us drinks then went straight to talking about someone texting someone else/didn't take our order or even ask if we were ready. Obnoxious staff and the food is not worth coming back. Went to Tokyo Bowl down the street. Won't be coming back to this place.
I ordered takeout ramen from this place and it was not very good. the egg in my ramen was cold and i ordered spicy miso and i did not get that. The noodles were mushy and I think the black fungus was spoiled (it was slimy and unappetizing). I also ordered some sushi, can remember which one, and it was as equally as bad. I did not like the food here. The people there were nice and the atmosphere was also good. The food was just bad. I would not go here again
