For Good Friday during lent we wanted to enjoy Long John Silver fish for lunch. Due to the limited locations in Houston we have not been to a LJS in a long time. When did they change to waffle fries? They were delicious!! The fish was really good (love the crispies) and hushpuppies were so good! I also found it refreshing to see the staff hard at work cleaning the area after the lunch rush (the ketchup and tater sauce area really needed cleaning). There were 2 employees cleaning the dining area, but I was only able to capture one in the picture. (I hope he doesn't mind.) The other employee who cleaned also worked the register. (He looked like the cute version of Michael Jackson.) Thank you to the LJS management at this location and the entire staff for working hard and making this a great experience for me! 🥰👍

This is my favorite LJS in the city! The food is always hot & fresh, the staff is nice & a lot of regulars seem to come by. The restaurant is always clean & the customer service is great!

Of course everyone loves Long John Silver’s, and I even drove 1 hour to satisfy our LJS craving. I visited the location today (12/07/25) at around 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The older lady at the counter was not welcoming—no greeting, no smile, and her overall attitude made us feel as if our presence was an inconvenience. This is not the type of customer service we expected. Additionally, the dining area was not clean. There were napkins and crumbs on the floor and around the seating area. We sat at the round table in the corner, and there was a gap between two chairs with a noticeable amount of trash in between. It was clearly visible and should have been cleaned. Overall, the restaurant needs better attention to cleanliness, and the staff could greatly improve their customer service. Even our kids were thanking them with smiles, yet the staff showed no friendliness in return.

Its great you can get the Long Johns cuisine with cheese curds and rootbeer from the A&W side. Food came out quick and was greasy, but good. The hush puppies are some of the best around.

Very disappointing, oil needs to be changed. Never had food so greasy here before. Perhaps the temperature of the oil needs to reach proper temperature before frying. Much troublshooting needed.

This deep fried fish i was ok, but you can feel how unhealthy it is as you bite into it. The attendant a as very dry and a bit rude when answering questions about the venue. My daughter what the urge of eating Fish ans chips like the British people, but it was disappointing to say the least.

I used to love this place so much. I hadn’t been in years so I decided to visit. I was greatly disappointed. The food had a nasty aftertaste and the service wasn’t that great. They were loud and arguing in the kitchen. I did dine in and it was so distracting. I definitely won’t be back here.

The store on 1-45@west Rd North Houston TX had its own temperament as the older women put out always rude behavior, and you buying their $5 or $7 deals, they would make you wait 15 to 20 minutes deliberately...under the Supervision of on older Manager.. Years ago, in 1996, I predicted Long John Silver will close down because of bad treatment of the customers....and ....😭😭😭😭😭

I'm going to keep it 100. I love me some LJS, but you better keep your blinders on going in this place. Front Register was down, so they ignored us as we walked in. The manager was too worried about getting the drawer to pop open even though she had a key so she was ignoring the drive thru. The shake machine lid was off and I could see at least 2 gnats in it, the condiment area was wrecked to hell and back dirty napkin holders dirty trash area like just so unkept but the food was top tier. The dining area was dirty, too. idk if this place just needs new management or to hire help, but it has so much potential. The older lady was struggling to run the front and get the orders out by herself she did give me green beans instead of corn, they were bland, and the waffle fries weren't cooked all the way. I'd still go back just because the food is that good and it's nostalgic.

I recently ordered 15 fried shrimp from Long John Silver’s, and my experience was deeply disappointing. Instead of the crispy, succulent shrimp I was expecting, I received overly salty fried bread with shrimp the size of dimes. I haven’t eaten here in decades, and now I remember why. I’m committed to good food served fast, not fast food that sacrifices quality. My hands were left greasy, and the excessive salt content was enough to raise the blood pressure of a whale! Additionally, I was surprised and disappointed to find that A&W didn’t have cream soda. Overall, this experience was a stark reminder of why I avoid this type of fast food.

I don't live close so shipping here is a special treat now and then- when I can. I once ordered extra hush puppies woth a meal, my favorite, and they forgot to out them in the bag :/ Tried again another time and got yelled at in yhe drive through line because it was 2 minutes before they opened And the final straw- ordered an 8 piece meal- all chicken- got home and it was all fish. I called and was made to be lying, "chicken looks like fish" ...... NOPE, i was very cprrect it was fish! :/ had to drive almost an hour round trip for my refund- no explanation, offer to replace it, nothing.....

I don’t know if someone has been here. But the “manager” on duty doesn’t have a sense of Customer Service. Not just she screams at the customers but she treats the poor employees like if they were slaves. Yelling and screaming on how they are supposed to do their job In Front of all the customers. We ordered mobile ahead of time And got a two fish piece combo and a fish sandwich combo. the sandwich was supposed to come with cheese curds, Which we’re not in the bag so my fiancé went back in by this point it had been about 10 minutes since we had gotten our order and was forced to wait another five minutes because nobody was at the counter and instead of remaking his now 15 minute old cheese, curds, they just gave him the same ones. They originally made because they forgot to put it in the bag. We also ordered hush puppies. The hush puppies and the fries were stale and nasty, the only good thing was the fish.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love to eat at this location, as there are not many around. We came through the drive-thru and CJ, The manager asked us what we wanted and because the screen was out for the Long John Silver’s side, we asked him about the fish and chicken meals. He said he didn’t have baskets that contained fish and chicken together and we told him yes, they did because we JUST came last week. He continued to talk over us and tell us they didn’t have the fish and chicken combination meals, so, frustrated, we came inside. We talked to the cashier and told her what happened and he walked over to her and never acknowledged us, apologized, explained himself or anything. He does not deserve the position he holds and it’s quite clear that his staff abhors his actions. CJ is rude, condescending and does not care about proper customer service and needs re-training or another job that involves him talking to himself or animals. This location has the ability to be great and make more money, if you remove him from Management.

The manager needs to be FIRED! I stood 10 minutes to place an order! People walked out because it takes an average 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to order! She was rude to the EMPLOYEES and CUSTOMERS! She screamed at the employees repeatedly! She screamed at a customer because THEY had HIS order WRONG! I’ve been coming here for 2 years and this is the closest location to me. I love LJS food and menu but this location makes me want to keep going because of the HOSTILE environment (manager). When I see her, I leave! If the Owner/District manager, you should FIRE the manager! She needs to go! Shes making you loose money!

Spent over $40 to get dry fish and chicken, the hush puppies were burnt and the burger patties were dry, burnt and same for the bun. When I took the food back to complain the manager said it was our fault cause we "sat too long" Like I didn't realize a burger can burn by sitting too long at a table.

The food was great. Customer service was great. The restaurant was so filthy. I don't know how they stay open. There's not enough employees to clean and cook. There's not many Long John Silvers left, but every one of them have the same problem. Thank you
