I'm from New Jersey and was in Huntington visiting a friend so we stopped by to try this place. The cheese pizza we had was SO TASTY. I've got to say I would definitely consider moving to NY after trying this pizzeria. The staff was really friendly and our pizza was hot and ready quickly. The cheese, the sauce and the texture of each slice was perfection. I will definitely be back. Even if I have to drive 2 hours to get here. Keep it up, Umberto's!

I had the greatest experience at the Huntington location here on a Thursday Night. The manager Antonio and the waitress Karen went out of their way to make my group comfortable. They managed to accommodate 8 people even though most tables were empty. They honestly made my night. 100/10 !

I stopped by here last weekend on a friends recommendation after a trip to the pumpkin farm. The pizza here was really good. I’m not a big pizza fan but I had 3 slices. The grandma pizza and the margarita pizza was really good. Highly recommended place. Please visit if you’re in the area and hungry.

We ordered Umberto's trays of pasta, eggplant Parm, sausage, meatballs, chicken Francese and Caesar salad for a birthday party. it was great! Everything was delicious and hot when delivered. They included all the utensils, ton of plates (and not the thin paper ones but durable ones), and napkins. And even though we had our own, it still was very handy to have. On the side note, we have gotten pizza with garlic knots on numerous occasions before, and they were really really good. Highly recommend them!

Great local pizzeria with a wide variety of traditional and grandma pizzas. Staff is always really polite and accommodating . The place is great for wother takeout or dining in. They remember their regulars and make sure they are taken care of. Go there before closing and theyll throw in some extra garlic knots if you’re lucky!

It's me Calogero Costantino again giving another review. I went to Umberto's Pizza at 737 W. Jericho tpke, Huntington and it was crowded which I like. They had a nice display of food in Sicilian style pizza square trays and everything looked fantastic they had vodka slices ,Sicilian slices with crumbled sausage , Spinach slices , Salad slices with Blue Cheese , every slice you could think of it was absolutely amazing . And I could have eaten one of every slice that's how appealing everything looked and when I tasted it omg it was superbly delicious. I had the Spinach slice, Meatball slice and Bluecheese salad slice I highly recommend you come here for Pizza because I will be going back again and again. Look for my next review and fo me.

Best pizzeria in Huntington. We had ordered take out a week ago, and we were entertaining -The food arrived cold. We called up and the manager IMMEDIATELY made good on it. Next delivery was perfect. Great place.

Of all the Umberto on long island this is the best of them. I drive occasionally way out of my way to go here. I used to live close but now I drive 30 minutes to get a good pie. They are clean and just top notch all around.

I ordered a pepperoni slice and a grandma slice and they were DELICIOUS !! Umbertos in Huntington is my favorite pizzeria! I used to go to the Plainview location but stopped after I had ordered a Buffalo Chicken pie. The Plainview location used BBQ chicken and wiped the dressing off to use on my Buffalo Chicken pie. Absolutely disgusting to say the least. I was a bite away from taking the pie back and slapping someone with it! I had tried the Umbertos in Huntington prior to and went back after the Plainview incident. I get perfect pizza / food everytime! The food is awesome in Huntington location! Highly recommended!

I’ve searched many Pizzerias to find the perfect pizza for my parents and after months, I found perfection! Umberto’s has a large variety of pizzas with many delicious toppings. The staff is always so nice and always serves us with a smile. Umberto’s has a large menu of Italian foods that we’re looking forward to trying. Great place!

Insanely fresh, authentic Italian at VERY reasonable prices. Such great classics offered. The small salad was so great I wished I'd gotten the large. Salad had a few fantastic olives and the creamy balsamic dressing was heavenly. As we dined, I noticed many locals carrying takeout orders of many pizza pies and pasta dinners. I see why. This place is amazing. Great service, too. The bread they brought out to start with was fresh, hot, perfect. We had the chicken parm hero and the ziti eggplant siciliana. Both were delicious and both were such huge portions we each had doggie bags.

Umberto’s of Huntington is always a reliable source for amazing pizza! I manage an annual fundraising event and this is our go-to place to feed those involved. Lindsay is the absolute best! Super easy to work with, extremely reliable and replies to every inquiry I’ve ever had (which was a lot!!). She was able to set up a very specific delivery schedule flawlessly— A really nice delivery guy arrived with piping hot pizza, plates and napkins at the exact time we requested it throughout the day, from 11am until after 8pm! I would definitely recommend Umberto’s for all your pizza needs!! Delicious pizza, great service and an always exceptional experience.

When coming here, get the pastas. basically all of their pizza and their mozzerella sticks are awesome Dinners are very good, generous portions and reasonable prices. Go here for a pizza lunch or Italian dinner and you won't be disappointed

In my honest opinion the best square slices you're going to get on Long Island. As many toppings options as you would find at another pizza joint with round pies but just square slices (white slices, buffalo chicken, vodka, chicken cesar,ect ect). They have their restaurant too all in one spot, seating for the pizza is very limited so you'll have to sit at one of the restaurant tables.

Old school pizza. Maybe the best squares in the area. Rootbeer on tap is always a plus. Pizza is very good, regular food is better. 9/24/23 I haven't been here in a while and decided to see what was fresh at 1200. I'm not a huge chicken caesar or salad pizza fan but their chicken Caesar slice is a meal in itself. I choose to have it served as it, I'm not a fan a hot lettuce. After eating the chicken and veggies, the pizza was a giant breeadstick. I'm not gonna lie, I barely finished the meat lovers slice and it had a little kick to it. This place never disappoints and they still have root beer on tap.

Great pizza 🍕. Love me the sausage or meatball square... Mmm. Always busy with take out, however we typically eat inside. Decent pricing, parking is a bit tough.

Called in my order, showed up 5 mins later, sat there for 5 mins with nobody on line in front of the counter with the counter people just glancing at me... was finally asked if i needed help and i said i called in an order 10 mins ago. He then rushed the slices into the oven. Why did i bother calling in my order to save time. pizza is good though, only reason for 3 stars.

Used to come here all the time for good quality Italian food. The quality has declined recently. My dad ordered the veal parmegiana and the veal was absurdly overcooked and tough. He couldn't even finish eating it. My veal parmegiana was better, but not as good as I remember. Pasta and bread are good. The service was great, our waitress was very helpful and friendly.

The Pizza was very tasty but the Cold Antipasta was poor mostly lettuce small amount of peppers ,olives ,tomatoes and the meat and cheese was very skimpy we had to request more meat and cheese. We told the waitress that it was not up to standards. We go there frequently and we have had better quality before than we did this trip

Food always excellent but take out service was poor. Kid at register was not sharp. I think the staff lost my phone order as it took a very long time for my dinner to come out of kitchen. It was not super busy and at least 5 others were served before me and I was promised dinner ready in 20 minutes. It was close to 50 minutes actually. To make matters worse they left out the bread.

When I first moved to Huntington I fell in love with this location. As time went on it went down hill. It caused me to inquire and I was told they had a change in staff. None of the dishes are consistent in how they are made. The deliverys are always screwed up. And the pizza is inconsistent too. I hope another change is in store as I love the sauce there.

UPDATE. Ordered for labor day weekend. 2) 3 ft heroes. The Italian hero was very good. The grilled chicken with roasted peppers and mozzarella not so much.. the grilled chicken hero was missing the mozzarella. I Called and they brought me some but the chicken and the roasted peppers had a weird taste. Like what you'd think lighter fluid would taste like. No one would eat it. Ordered 2 half pans of pasta on the $29 special. The baked ziti was not worth it. The pan was only half full of pasta and hardly any ricotta cheese or mozzarella. I almost didnt have enough food. Very disappointing especially since it doesn't cost much to make. Will not order it again. The spaghetti and meatballs was better. The garlic knots were tough and no garlic flavor. Last week I ordered a half pan of Chicken Tuscano. It was very good. I'm on the fence about ordering there again.

The food is good, but delivery orders are regularly mixed up and/or missing items. Rather than getting an apology, restaurant accuses us of submitting a different order.

Not a good representation of original Umbertos in NHP. Pizza had a strange taste to it, kind of like dish detergent. Pasta was bland. They seem to be pushing the gluten free and cauliflower crust pizza. Service was fine. If you really want the true experience, keep driving west...

Very disappointed! I had always enjoyed Umbertos, they had been my favorite Italian restaurant for many many years. A few weeks back I ordered food and noticed their portions had become smaller. I thought it was a fluke thing. Today I ordered again and yet again the portions are still smaller but they also screwed up my order. I called to let them know but I didn't want to wait another hour for delivery again so I proceeded to just deal with it. Unfortunately though the chicken was very dry even though it was swimming in sauce. Sorry Umbertos but that's it for my family! Maybe hire another chef?

Pizza is good, not great, by NYC standards. Prices on the expensive side, again compared to Manhattan. The biggest issue I have with this place is they don’t wear gloves during the pandemic, despite having them right in front of their noses. When I called it out, they became defensive and talked gibberish. This is inexcusable. I’m a medical doctor.

Thought we had plenty of time for a nice dinner,then drive to Port Jefferson to catch a ferry home. Nope. No coffee, no cake. Why? No waiter came back to us. Food was okay, nothing spectacular. Used to be on the Island once a year. Will go somewhere else next year.

I ordered a Sicilian pie to go. the crust was raw, it didn't have enough cheese on it and it was definitely under cooked.They should train the staff better I couldn't communicate with them because they didn't speak english and didn't seem concerned.I would pass on the Sicilian pie if you thinking about going in there

Been to plenty Umberto pizzerias and this has to be the worst one. Ordered a Buffalo chicken slice and regular slice. Regular slice was very thin and pretty much fell apart as I picked it up. Smh. Buffalo chicken slice was square and didn’t taste like Buffalo chicken at all, tasted like alla vodka. Staff seemed like they didn’t care or want to speak to you, I asked the guy behind the counter if he gave me the right slice and he said yes it’s a Buffalo chicken... I had to get hot sauce to pour on it. Gave it the two stars because seating was nice. That’s it. Go to the other umbertos, not coming here again.

Ask anyone in New York, particularly the Metropolitan area, and they will tell you what we are famous for. Notoriously overpriced housing, poorly maintained public transportation and roadways, and pizza. Especially the pizza. New Yorkers pride themselves on their pizza - almost as much as Long Islanders pride themselves on their bagels. New York City should be renamed from the 'Big Apple' to the 'Big Slice'. Pizza runs in our blood as red as the marinara sauce that tops each and every crispy, chewy, cheese covered pie pulled from a hot oven. Which is why I was so badly disappointed by the quality of the slices I just ate at Umberto's. And for the price I paid, I have to say, the quality did not reflect the product. I've eaten at Umberto's before - once heralded as one of the best Pizzeria's on Long Island, they have been celebrated with slinging out dynamite pie for nearly seventy years. The Huntington branch has been in this same location for nearly a quarter of a century - I even remember when they opened. But hiw times have changed, and not for the better. My recent experience to this once 'icon of Long Island Eateries' was a far cry from its glory days. The ambiance hasn't changed once in twenty-plus years; the walls are still red, with black trim. Black, white, and grey photographs of the Amalfi coast, Venetian waterways, Tuscan fields, and the occasional random 'Nonna' twirling pasta in a bowl hang from dusty portrait frames around the dining room. The tables are old; worn in. Random condiments shakers litter the tabletops in no particular reason or order. The counter hosts the point-of-sale system along with a glass sneeze guard which stands watch over several tray pans filled with slices of Grandpa style pizza. The variety isn't extensive; a few meat and cheese slices, specialty pies, some pinwheels and sausage rolls, and then a one, plain cheese pizza. It looks like everything was made hours ago - so I'm guessing it's been a slow day. I ordered two specialty slices and a plain cheese slice - plus a bottle of Coca-Cola, because nothing goes better with pizza than either a beer or a Coke. The service was fine - not meriting anything more or less than a simple exchange of money for goods/services. I can't complain, nor comment, on the quality of said servers performance. Total comes to just shy of twenty dollars. I have a miniature heart attack - twenty dollars, I said aloud in disgust. That seems awfully high. But I pay it anyway and step aside to wait for the slices to warm up. They are pulled out and slipped into the takeaway box and out the door I go. It's not more than a five minute drive from Umberto's to my job site, and I park, unload the car, settle in and finally break out my lunch. Maybe a total of ten minutes have elapsed. The pizza is still warm, but not hot - I'll admit, it's been ten minutes since it was pulled from that screaming hot oven. But the pizza was saggy, flaccid, lifeless and soppy. The taste was just north of Elio's frozen pizza squares, but the mouthfeel was bready, doughy and sponge-like. It was not good. Umberto's, what happened? You used to produce some of the best pizza in the area, and I used to frequent your store here in Huntington regularly. Now I see why I've stopped going - this is not my first poor experience with this branch. To be honest, it might be a while before I return to Umberto's, perhaps when they come under new management? Truth be told, with all the other great Pizzeria's in the immediate area, I think it makes more sense to just go to one of them than 'hope' that the food will have improved by that time. Such a shame.

Beyond disappointing. I ordeedr a regular pie and a chicken roll that was delivered. The pizza crust was paper thin. I only ate 2 slices and was able to easily fit 6 left over slices in a gallon zip lock bag. Pies from other places I struggle to fit 4 slices in a bag. Just nothing to the pizza, no taste, no substance. Better off with frozen pizza The chicken roll was very small and wrapped like a burrito. Good chicken rolls comein nice dough that look like a very large crescent roll. So no dough, not much flavor and again no substance. No shot I order from here again

I don’t know what happened to this place but it is not what it used to be. The variety of slices has decreased significantly. The quality is terrible. I got home with four slices. They were a soggy, gross mess. They even put one slice on top of the other slices in the container which made it even more messy. I will not be going back here again.

Most of the food was not bad. My son’s mozzarella sticks were green which was very unusual. What was perhaps the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen were the several cockroaches crawling on the walls near our table. First and last time we’ll eat here. Stay away!

Definitely a bad experience. The waitress was overwhelmed, despite the fact that she told another table that she sent home the other server because she could handle the whole restaurant herself... Except she couldn't. She forgot to bring multiple items including waters for quite some time. Disappeared behind her station to have a chat with every other employee possible. The kitchen ran out of bread while we were there and didn't have any fresh cheese. The pasta dishes we ordered were two drastically different sauces on the menu yet looked and tasted exactly the same upon arrival. There was spaghetti mixed into my penne leading me to question the cleanliness of the kitchen and I wish that I had noticed it earlier. One dish was so oily it was inedible. The caprese starter was served with a balsamic emulsion instead of plain balsamic and had roasted red peppers all over it instead of the correct number of tomatoes to go with the slices of mozzarella. It was almost as though they were out of those too. One family sitting behind us had half their meal entirely forgotten for over 45 minutes. Will not go back. What a train wreck.

Not a slice to be had 25 minutes before closing time on a Friday night. Employee walking out with boxes of the last slices with a smug look as I walked in. I have lived here and patronized this business for 30 years. Now i would sooner eat grocery store pizza than ever give this place one more cent.

Horrendous dreck that made us all ill. This Umbertos shouldn’t be allowed to have their name on the sign. Their mozzarella “sticks” were fried with old oil and just pure grease. The rest? People had to throw out their food. Only thing that was even edible was the pizza. Unacceptable.

I been going there for so long in New Hyde Park. And when they open in Huntington, I was so Happy! But today is a big disappointment! And the guy in the register try to lie and tell me that the pizza he gave me was a brick stone oven pizza. I live in Italy for 3 yrs in Sicily and I always order brick oven. And the fact I saw that the pie came from the regular oven. I paid $30. That’s a rip off. I try to tell me that’s only the name. That’s it ! That’s the last time I gonna but from the branch!!

All their other food is great, this is just for one food item that I was very heavily. Disappointed with, they switch the mozzarella wedges for mozzarella sticks, it is god awful so sorry to say, without a doubt it was frozen and reheated

Beware those with Celiac or GF needs from sensitivities. They don't take Gluten Free Needs seriously even though every time, they go out of their way to say they do. Great food so this is a shame. I waited for a personal GF pie which was taken out by the same metal server that was used on regular pies and then witnessed my GF pie being cut by main roller used on all regular pies as well. When I called this to the gentleman she attention, I was still charged full price and given an attitude. Having celiac is hard enough, people really need to take this illness seriously. I've been getting sick, and now I finally know why...

ordered a large pie to go picked it up and the box felt like there was nothing in it the pizza was so light cause there was hardly any cheese on it and the pie was tiny this place used to be good but they got hit with shrinkflation for 21 dollars i could have gotten 3 2 topping pizzas at dominoes

DO NOT recommend . You ask for one thing and they give you the complete opposite. You call to request a correction and second time they mess up the order even more. Originally ordered red clam sauce pasta, they delivered white clam sauce. Called to fix the order. They said would be delivered 30mins, it took 50mins and it was again white clam sauce EXTRA dry. Absolutely disappointing, spoke to manager Christina and she said it would be taken care of but nope. Quite a disappointment. Thought the second phone call would mean a correction in the order but they didn't care to fix our request. Garlic knots were rock solid , GROSS. No one likes rock solid knots. Worst of all, paid full price for everything. Money isn't the problem , service is. NEVER ordering again. If I could give -0 stars I would :)

Ordered Umberto's through Grub Hub at 11:00am for lunch, at 12:20 I called umberto's to see where our lunch was? The young lady on the phone informed me they never looked at the computer and never started my order? Finally the order was delivered at 1:20pm, 2 1/2 hours later? And the order was wrong, we asked for a lot of things on the side that never happened? After spending 57 dollars on 2 salads for lunch and received them after our lunch hour was very disappointing! An apology would of went a long way! Plenty of other food establishments

Ordered spaghetti pomodoro. Online menu says garlic, olive oil, meatballs, sausage, pomodoro and spaghetti. Meal arrived and no meatballs or sausage. When we called to inquire, high schooler who answered the phone, rather than just admit that the online menu is wrong, offered the ridiculous explanation that the meatball and sausage were “options”. Seriously.

Gave me wrong order. Tried calling to fix my order but they didn’t want to do anything about it…. I called at least three times and they hung up the first two times, and left me on hold for the third time. The owner needs to know who to hire. Employees were rude and manager also hanged up. Been a customer for years but this was unacceptable. Never going to buy from here again…. 1-7-22 - Today (1-8-22) the ACTUAL manager called to apologize for what had happened yesterday. He said he was very sorry for the inconvenience and would do all possible to fix this from happening again. He understood the assignment and apologized (and it wasn’t even his fault)…. He wasn’t there yesterday so the employees never actually passed me the manager. I am grateful for the generosity of the manager. Thank you very much

A pizza from Costco or MOD pizza is waaaaaaaay better. Toppings are ok if you are hungry, but the crust is a chewy semi-soggy substance. What amazed me is that this place is popular and I wonder why? Perhaps there isn't anything better around? Anyways maybe I'm too spoiled by Berkeley's Cheeseboard 😉

Placed an order via slice, they messed it up. Talked to manager, they said I would have a credit tied to my phone number next time I ordered and specifically stated it would be good as long as they were in business. Few months later. They say no credit available after 2 months. Manager refused to even offer a discount or anything to make up for the issue now. Unreasonable , unprofessional customer service.

Not all Umberto’s pizzerias are created equal. I had better service at other Umberto’s in other locations and other pizzeria businesses in the area of huntington and I don’t mind ordering from your other competitors in Northport too than from this Huntington location. This location didn’t provide us supplies and utensils when you are requesting them and they don’t read the instructions when you give them I call them to say this as well you send over a food order without providing paper plates for the pizza, paper cups for the soda, and no utensils for the salad. Read your DARN instructions notes ON THE ORDERS !!

The grandma slices are too soft to hold all that weight. It’s almost impossible to hold onto it and eat it. They’re slacking.

We ordered 1/2 tray of chicken marsala and 1/2 tray of baked clams. It a disaster for both. On the top of burned breadcrumbs some clams did even had clams, only breadcrumbs. The chicken was swimming in slightly brown water and tasted horrible. The worst thing that I counted to serve it on Christmas day and was left with horrible food. Shame on you Umbertos! That is the last time I ever ordered from you.

7-11 pizza is better. Barley any cheese on the pie. Garlic knots was just balls of dough with no flavor. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!

I have had better gas station pizza! Drove from Binghamton Ny to get some Long Island pizza what a disappointment. At least the beer was cold!

For $62 we got chicken Francese which was extremely lemony, 10 wings, and rigatoni alla vodka. The alla vodka for $17.95 was ridiculous. There is barely a serving for one person, no prosciutto and it honestly tastes like tomato sauce with a dash of cream. I called to ask them about the prosciutto and to say the serving was quite small for $17.95 and she said what do you want me to do about it after putting me on hold. She told me I don’t see the prosciutto because it’s chopped so fine. I said I would see it and said was it blended? She said yes a little bit. She said she would make me another and before I could ask how long she hung up on me.
