Had dinner on a Thursday, early evening. We got sitted right away in the outside patio area. The weather was nice and comfortable. We got greeted by staff which were very friendly. They took out order of drinks. Then our food order. Asked for a few appetizers which they brought out right away, except for the bread that the server said as we were being sitted that he'll bring out. Still no bread after asking for it again. Food was brought out and it looked and tasted delicious. Still no bread.. Finally halfway through our meal the bread finally decided to join us. It was really good. Service was great. They kept checking on us. Highly recommend this place for dining if you happen to visit Idyllwild. It's fantastic!

So guys I am not a restaurant critic, but just a regular person who informs you that this place is very tasty and cozy. My family and I came here two years ago and today. I ordered the steak and it was mild and delicious. My daughter loved the pasta with chicken. The portions are huge and the staff is nice. We were taken care of and the dinner was great! 👍

Pet friendly, it was cold outside and we didn't even ask but they sat us inside with our well behaved Maltipoo. Service was outstanding..Food was delicious. We will be back! Oh, and French fries, on point!

Wonderful place to eat, did not have to wait to be seated. The service was pleasantly fast. The shrimp plate and the seafood combo is to die for. Excellent waiter and staff. My wife and I both loved the experience, and the food. Can't wait to come back again.

Wow!!! I had the SAUSAGE RAGOUT & FETTUCCINE PASTA Spicy Pork, Sausage, Fresh Tomato, Cream. It was OUT OF THIS world. Fantastic, hot, awesome flavors. A tad spicy ( which I LOVED) The service is great, the ambience is fantastic. We sat right next to the fireplace. This is definitely a recommendation if you are up in the Idyllwild area. LOVE LOVE this place.

This restaurant is right off the man loop in Idyllwild. They have good views of the town with indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good. $15-20 for a meal. Fresh bread was good. Our main issue was the service. We were left at our table for long stretches. It was like they were so focused on cleaning that they forgot about the customers they were serving. We had been here before and today the vibe was off. Good food but service needs to improve.

There were no guests anywhere in the dining room except us, but somehow the staff was very busy elsewhere & inattentive to service. However, the lamb was incredibly delicious, so kudos to the chef.

I wanted to love this place but I went for the prefix Thanksgiving dinner. Food was below average. They charged $80 for a 4 course meal that included the strangest starter which was a pairing of tuna tartare with olives and pepperoncini and sweet pickles. The main course was served cold, mashed potatoes and gravy that were also bland with a sweet potato that resembled wood with it's skin on roasted with no seasoning or flavor and two sticks of asparagus that were barely green and also not seasoned. The turkey was also bland. It was as though they put zero effort into the preparation and wanted to capitalize on being the only restaurant open in the area. It was inedible and I ended up eatlng less than half. They brought out a broken piece of cheesecake at the very end which I did not eat because I had lost my appetite by that point. The only thing that was edible was the bread and cream of portobello mushroom soup. Disappointing experience.

Four of us recently had lunch on their very nice patio. The special was Fish and Chips which came with fries and coleslaw. The latter items were good and the fish looked golden brown and enticing. But, each piece looked alike as though it was a frozen product, and had little to no flavor, nor did the breading. I couldn’t eat mine, and my friends weren’t happy either. The waitress was pleasant but I was a bit surprised that she asked me to hand her my plate when she thought I was finished. The iced tea was delicious. $68.85 for two of us including a 20% tip would not have bothered me if the fish had been edible.

This is our second time dining in two days in a row because the food was good and the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. But it’s also safe to say that the servers who work here do not like what they do or they pick and choose their favorite customers and only treat them with decent smile and curtesy.

This place was disappointing. We came in on a Thursday night for my birthday and were very underwhelmed. The restaurant was nearly empty and the front dining space was being used as storage. There were so many boxes lined up in the entry that we almost thought they were closed. We sat by the fireplace, which was no longer lit and was puffing out smoke the entire time. Despite there being a lot of staff on hand, no one ever put another log on or addressed the fireplace the whole time we were there. Since there were not a lot of people dining, the staff and kitchen was rather loud which was distracting. It almost felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. Not only was the ambiance less than appealing, I ordered a warm cocktail that was cold by the time they brought it to me. Instead of staying for a full meal we decided to just have our cocktails and an app and leave to dine at another restaurant. We ended up at Cafe Aroma which was a much better experience.

Took a really long time to get our food. A bit overpriced. My friend's mashed potatoes were under seasoned and extra sauce cost $5. The burger was good tho. Portions were good sized. There could have been more gnomes. We liked the ones that were there.

Got in right away. The setting of the place is really nice. We got sat down and after 15 minutes without being attended I had to call for the waiter. Once we ordered the food it took about an hour for us to get the food and the place wasn’t that busy with a couple tables open. I got my burger medium rare thinking it was a decent quality meat but no. The burger is 2/10 the meat has no flavor and the buns aren’t even toasted or anything. So dry in your mouth. The fries were mid, maybe 5/10. I could make a better burger at home. The waiter sucked, and walked around like he dreads working here. The other two waiters with the white shirts did a way better job. Wouldn’t come back unfortunately even tho the other food outside the burger looks good.

I love this place but… last Friday 8/31 I stopped in with my sister and ordered Fish & Chips. She ordered calamari strips. First it was lunch time and not packed, we still waited 30 min for our food. Second upon arrival the food looked amazing my dish had perfectly crispy French fries and golden crispy fish in generous size!! I was so excited I dove right in! After the first bite I felt a bit odd and looked down before my next bite only to see raw fish in my next bite! My stomach instantly was upset. The feeling of raw fish that’s meant to be cooked is nauseating, much like raw chicken. The server was kind and prompt to retrieve and grab me a French onion soup. Not sure what the issue was but due to table next to us getting muscles which were cold tells me kitchen. Was off? Third the owner was walking around and never came and spoke with me. They did not charge me for fish & chips but didn’t offer to comp any thing else. I suppose paying $60 for a lunch implies a better dining experience or an explanation? No thanks.
