During a short stay in Oneglia (visiting my aunt), my sister, my son, and I stopped here twice to eat. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable, and the quality of the ingredients is impeccable! The food is delicious and plentiful. I've been coming to Oneglia since I was a child and know the place and the old management (very good) very well. The first time I visited, almost by chance, I was drawn to the authenticity of this restaurant in the historic center of Oneglia. The menu was rich in local recipes, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The kindness and helpfulness of the owner, Esmeralda, confirmed my first impressions: without a reservation, with a dog and a full dining room, she managed to reserve what has since become our "favorite" table! The cuisine at U PAPA is excellent: Leonardo, the owner's brother, expresses his passion for cooking and his international expertise in a genuine and engaging way: the choice of ingredients and the quality of the dishes are always fresh, combined with generous and flavorful portions! A must-try and return again and again! Thank you, you're our favorite restaurant on the Riviera di Ponente. Keep up the good work!

Excellent experience, I highly recommend the fried calamari, light and crispy! The service is also excellent; all the girls who work there are always friendly and polite. The only flaw (if I really had to find one) was the dessert: excellent presentation with fresh fruit, but the cheesecake was lukewarm when it was still hot; if it had been nice and cold, it would have been a delight. Other than that, the flavor was light and delicious. I'll be back again for the fried calamari... (The mussels were lacking in flavor.)

Excellent, delicious dishes, a relaxing atmosphere, impeccable service, and always a smile. The olive oil is top-quality; these details are a testament to the care they put into their business. I've seen some very negative reviews, all from a while back. I don't know if the management has changed since, but these guys are certainly doing a great job now. Don't be fooled by the older reviews. Highly recommended, but save us a spot for next time!

We arrived at the last minute and found a seat inside. The atmosphere is simple but refined. The staff were extremely friendly, and the service was quick and discreet despite the crowds. Their passion for their work and for their customers shines through. We had an appetizer and two first courses. Truly above average. The farinata with onions was excellent as an interlude. I highly recommend it.

Excellent experience, truly excellent food, and perfect service (they could have been quicker, but they understood we wanted a relaxed dinner). Good wine and excellent price, especially considering we were in Alassio the night before and were completely ripped off. I recommend pasta with sardines, burrata, and lemon; it's amazing. I'll try making it again at home. I should point out that we were here on a super quiet weekday. I'll be back and hope the quality doesn't change significantly during high season. Thank you. 👏🏻
