While other eateries at the Irvine Spectrum Center cater to a more intimate or formal dining experience, Pieology pizzaria, located on the exterior edge nearby Nordstrom, is the best causal place to get pizza. You order through a simple and straightforward 1-2-3 step process, choosing your crust, choosing your sauce, and then choosing your toppings. They also having assortment of specialty pizzas ranging from your traditional combo (supreme) to your or exotic varieties like a margarita. I especially love the hand-stretched "Pierise" thick crust, and they are extremely generous with the toppings that you select. Pizzas are then cooked fresh to order in a wood-fired oven, and only take a few minutes to come out pipping hot. They also serve as a selection of bottled beverages, desserts, and fountain drinks (via Coca-Cola freestyle). Given how popular this location is, I wouldn't know that seating is a bit tight, so you may need to consider taking us to go and finding one of the available public common areas in the shopping center to sit down and enjoy your pizza. Parking is available throughout the Irvine Spectrum Center including open lot and garage parking.
I love Pieology! Ever since the Huntington Beach location my favorite one closed, I was sad. Now I come to this location, and I’ve grown to really like it too. The main concept is building your own pizza , you choose the crust, then the sauce, then all your toppings. It’s fun and customizable, and I love it because I can add exactly what I want. I also feel like it’s healthier than most pizzas since you get to control everything. The service here is was helpful and nice, and there’s parking right in front of the restaurant, which is super convenient .
In short, for the price, variety, quality, volume and taste you can't find a better pizza! Theulyvlrtvyou put on as many toppings as you'd like. Talk about getting a pizza made to order! But wow...it turned as better than my expectations. This place is great!
As a regular at Pieology, my kids absolutely love the 11" Pies & Perks Pierise, so we visit often. Recently, there was a small mishap with one of my orders, and although I didn’t realize it until later, I reached out to the manager, Destiny. I explained the situation to her, and she was so understanding and empathetic. Even though it was close to closing time, Destiny took the time to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently. I was truly impressed by her kindness and attention to customer service. Thanks to her, my kids were thrilled when I showed up with their favorite pizza, and I couldn't be more appreciative. I highly recommend downloading the Pieology app to take advantage of discounts and rewards on future visits. Destiny truly deserves a 5-star rating for her exceptional help and service!
This Pieology is at the spectrum not too far from D&B. My favorite item here is the thin crust margherita pizza. The grape tomatoes add a fresh kick along with the olive oil and garlic and the thin crust has a satisfying crunch. The location is open a little late but not too late and the thin crust pizza cooks fast.
The main concept is to build your own pizza. You first select the crust, then the sauce, then the toppings. So you get the food and the fun experience. I would recommend it for children. Last time I visited this place was in 2016. I was very glad to find that it is still as delicious as i remember with excellent quality.
Im out of town on a business trip so I figured I'd swing by and try somewhere new and came across PIEOLOGY. Great atmosphere, great presentation, first time trying this place! I got a margherita pizza and it was deliciously packed with plenty of ingredients and cooked to crisp perfection! Don't mean to try to oversell it but it was great! Will return in the future!
Good-tasting food. The pizza crust was cooked perfectly. There were definitely enough toppings. The one complaint I have is that they brought us our food and interrupted us while we were clearly praying for the meal. All of us had closed eyes and bowed heads. I wish they had just called our names from the counter like usual and we could’ve gotten up after the prayer and got it
The pizza here is good. You can order anything from a plain cheese to whatever you dream up. The cook it fresh after making and it takes about 10 minutes. It gets very busy here o you may have a wait.
Went on a busy week. The service was quick. Wish there was more seats inside to sit. Liked you can build your own pizza.
Great pizza and they let you see the pizza being made. Probably not completely fresh but it's refreshing to see it being made in the oven. Polite workers and the pizza tastes great at a really good price for Irvine spectrum. Paid 20 dollars for an extra large. Always come back for the same reasons.
This Store doesn’t seem well managed. There are tables not well maintained, getting simple order takes forever because the employees seem disorganized, the restaurant is so dark, it felt like I’m eating at a hole in the wall restaurant… it’s my first time here, because Spectrum doesn’t have Blaze pizza. Not sure if I’ll come back
I visited this establishment for the first time recently and had an overall decent experience, though there were a few areas for improvement. When I arrived, I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged, which felt a bit impersonal. You basically wait in line until they call you up with a quick “next,” which was a bit underwhelming in terms of customer service. The cleanliness could also use some attention. There was a lot of water or soda on the floor near the machine, and the tables and surrounding area had visible trash and crumbs. It didn’t seem like much effort was made to keep the space tidy. When it came to the pizza, I ordered the combo with sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives. The toppings were a little light—especially the bell peppers, which were chopped very small—and I found the pizza to be lacking in both sauce and cheese. However, the meats were tasty, and overall, the pizza had good flavor. One positive note is that they offer a gluten-free crust, which is a great option for people with dietary restrictions, though it does come with a $4+ upcharge. The crust was crunchy and flavorful, though I’m not sure if it’s fully celiac-safe. While the price didn’t seem to fully match the quality of the food, it’s still a good option for a quick, no-frills pizza, especially if you’re looking for something fast and solo. I would definitely consider coming back for the gluten-free crust, but I hope they can improve the overall experience in terms of service and cleanliness.
The pizza was alright not my favorite of this made to order style personal pizzas. They were maybe 12” dia. They have little space for seating inside but a good amount of seating outside. My biggest problem was this location’s cleanliness or lack there of. We visited shortly after they opened. The glass was gross and oily the, counter top had bread crumbs and oil, all the floor was oily there was a delivery package of pizza boxes next to the register blocking the view of the cookies, there were crumbs hanging out above the drinks eww. Everything just felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week.
While their pizza can be better than Blaze's it is often unpleasantly burnt (especially at the crust). Plus the wait can be terrible. There were only 5 people in front of me (a total of 8 pizzas between them) and it still took 30 minutes to get my food. Somehow their organization system just doesn't work going between zero pizzas in the oven and a mass waiting to be cut on the side. To a mass in the oven and none ready. They just seem to not be able to move them into and out of the oven efficiently (part of the reason the pizzas sometimes are rather overdone). Given the terrible parking situation (due to the construction at the Spectrum) this all makes it less desirable than other nearby build your own pizza places. Edit: 6/15 went here again today, we ordered 2 pizzas. Got the first one 10 minutes before the second. When they finally brought over the second pizza it was cold, colder that the first one even was by that point. Don't know what's going on but I've gone twice in the past two weeks and was really disappointed each time. I feel like their organization in putting pizzas in the oven is going down hill.
Racism and absolute worst customer service experience l have ever had in my life. I ordered half cheese only half topping large pizza. They put a total of 6-8 pieces of pepperoni on the entire pizza, onions, and some watered down spicy chicken. I asked if they could put more chicken on top, the employee in front of me said no only this much. I said okay then I don't want this, as I was attempting to leave he asked me where I was from? I was confused and later noticed that it was because of my accent. This racist behavior offended me so much, l asked to get his name he said " I don't have a name, what is your name?" | asked to speak to his manager, his manager came and he started arguing with me and telling me that he doesn't have a name. As I was leaving I could hear them laughing and making fun of me and my son. I left with my 5 year old son who was with me and considering my frustration my son was very scared. The absolute worst experience, I will never visit this location or any other location.
Disaapointed with its service. We ordered 2 XL build your own pizza. They accidentially put more than 5 toppings for the first one. We were requesting toppings for the 2nd one, another person took it away with an attempt to put both in the oven without asking us. They then explained no more 5 topping for XL one and we asked to remake them. It took us nearly 1 hr to order pizza. Bad service!
I order pizza from this location once or twice a week for my daughter, I just got a regular thin crust pepperoni pizza tonight. The pizza is a smaller than the actual size and the back of the pizza is burn. There’s not enough cheese on the pizza and when I asked them why the size is different than the usual, they just told me we have a new machine and the new pizza dough, however, when I was looking at the other customer pizza was completely around. I’m just adding my pictures here because I’m pretty upset of their attitude and their customer service at Irvine spectrum Pieology pizza location. I think the management of this location is horrible.
I can never give more than 1 star to a business that makes its customers wait 1 hour in line to get mediocre tasting overpriced pizza. I think that sums it up. We went there at off peak time (5pm) and had to wait in line for 1 hour to get our pies. My recommendation is to skip it and get fast food somewhere else.
