I was a bit sceptical due to poor reviews, but our lunch was very tasty and menu with prices was provided. Being right on the beach you expect it to be a bit pricier, especially if you decide to order fish by weight, which I believe is what most unhappy reviews did, and yes that can be costly. However if you ask they will tell you the full cost, even show you the fish you will eat.

What a delightful little restaurant! We visited it regularly on our walks along the beach. We didn't eat there, but had the most delicious sangria, coffee and mahou beer. The staff were lovely, and we managed to make ourselves understood, despite the language barrier! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

La verdad es que llenando toda la terraza (no sé si éramos 250 o 300 personas, o incluso más), me parece muy cutre que te cobren una cerveza antes de sentarte a la mesa. Del mismo modo que no me parece normal que no te puedas tomar ni una copa de vino con el almuerzo. La cocina no es mala pero tampoco nada destacable, para mi gusto. Y el postre dejó mucho que desear, la verdad. La chica que atendió nuestra mesa, muy amable y atenta, que lo bueno también hay que decirlo. Habrá que ir en petit comité a ver si cambia mi impresión.

En mi opinión salgo con una sensación agridulce, el sitio es muy chulo, la comida está muy rica pero sinceramente, una dorada 60€ me parece un despropósito, estaba fuera de carta y no pregunté el precio, no me imaginaba que pudiera ser tanto, fallo mío. Pero ya sabéis lo que valen las cosas fuera de carta, avisados estáis. El resto me pareció correcto.

El lugar cuando llegamos al sitio no me dio muy buena sensación pues estaba vacío, pero bueno decidimos comer y mi sorpresa fue, cuando pedimos aliño de tomates y le dije q le pusieran con ajos y me dijeron q solo con salsa verde me sorprendió mucho, luego pedimos arroz negro y es el peor arroz negro q he comido pues parecía q el arroz estaba cocido en blanco e incorporado a lo q se podía decir el sofrito, y hablo con conocimiento de causa pues tengo mi casa en isla cristina y se de sobra como se hace un arroz negro.

Beautiful location we stopped for lunch. Absolutely the best grilled fish we have ever had. Shown the fresh fish before cooking it. Stupidly didn’t ask the key phrase ‘Cuanto questa? We decided yes it’s probably not cheap but it was a treat. We asked for a menu and were asked meat or fish? No menu appeared £87 for two beers, salad bread rolls and the fish which also came with some boiled cold potatoes and pepper mix. Did we enjoy it - yes Do we feel conned for being tourists- absolutely.

Went for a drink lunchtime and place was pleasant, nice beer, lovely location. Went back in the evening, no menus available, so therefore no prices. Wasn't prepared to order when we weren't going to know how much it was going to cost. Paid for a drink and left. Would not return

Normally I would say, a nice place on d beach and staff is OK too. But the youngest waiter has cheated me with d price, cause what he showed me from d fridge, was not on the menu. And I made the mistake not to ask for the price before... 🫣 So my mistake ! And he used that and cheated me up with small "langostinos a la plancha" with 20 Euro !! 😬 Small portion you normally pay in Spain in these places between 8 - 12 Euro !! So he took the chance to cheat when he had.... 😬 You don't do that !! Not nice !! Just be careful there... Food btw is only average anyhow...

The food was good although the shrimps we’re not cooked well! The staff did not speak any English or German and was rude. He felt annoyed that my husband took his time to ask him a few questions about the fish and meat he presented since he spoke a little Spanish only. The bread they put on the table NEEDS to be payed. We atleast payed for it even if we did not eat it. We asked him about it on the bill after I noticed it and he asked if we wanted a refund but my husband said no and we took the bread with us. Other than the food, this restaurant is not worth visiting!

No me gustó ya que al pedir tomates aliñados le pedimos porfavor que nos lo pusieran con ajo y nos lo negaror . Después ,pedimos arroz negro a 17 € por persona pedimos para 3 y la cantidad estaba bien pero tanto el sabor como el arroz que parecía que estaba cocido antes y luego metido en el arroz estaba pasado y sin sabor alguno ,el pan estaba coreoso ya digo lo único bueno el café . Muy bien ambiente, nos atendió Jose un gran profesional y muy amable, la comida y precio genial, buena cantidad y sabrosa. Repetiremos Gracias ——————— Es la segunda vez que voy y de un año a otro bajaron mucho la calidad de los productos y los precios se fueron a las nubes. Un atún 35€? Un lenguado ( que de sabor jugaría que es lengua) a 55€ Nos hemos vueltos loco? Ibas todos los años en varias ocasiones, pero lamentablemente no iré más… Una media cualquier cosas ensaladilla 9€… No se que locura es esta de multiplicar los precios x3 por la cara… En fin, Nunca más!

Una experiencia para olvidar. Nos sentimos estafados. No suelo escribir reseñas negativas, pero esta vez lo considero necesario. Fuimos engañados con el precio del pescado: 55,30 € por un lenguado que, además, estaba seco y salado. Pedimos atún a la plancha (6 € según la carta), pero nos dijeron que no les quedaba. Nos recomendaron el lenguado y en ningún momento nos informaron del precio, algo que consideramos una falta total de transparencia. Al pedir explicaciones, nos dijeron que costaba 7 € por cada 100 gramos Para colmo, la tarta de queso del postre tenía sabor a frigorífico Una auténtica decepción. No recomiendo este lugar y, desde luego, no volveremos.

Si quieres que te metan la clavada del siglo, estás en el sitio adecuado. 14 gambas de una calidad media/ baja, calientes 28€ Al lado está el restaurante Pepín, que por lo mismo te cobra 13€

Si buscas un sitio para comer de SABLAZO este es tu sitio, por precio estan en linea con el resto, la diferencia esta en la Cantidad y la calidad de sus platos, por cierto unos platos tan grandes que hacen mas ridicula aún sus "raciones" y es que en vez de subir la carta...bajaron las cantidades y calidades, una pena por que el sitio es precioso por sus vistas a la playa, asi que, para desayunos y cafelitos, perfecto, para comer un "0" no merece la pena, bajo mi criterio, aunque el libro de los gustos, ya sabes que esta en blanco. Te paso la lista de precios, pero no te engañes, mira los platos, las puntillitas, chanquetes y croquetas las puedes contar por unidades, cosa que puede estar bien para saber cuanto come cada uno...🤣🤣

Ojo: los precios no son por plato, son por persona. He ido a comer con mi pareja, hemos pedido específicamente un plato de frito variado y uno de arroz (porque quien nos atendió nos dijo que con eso teníamos suficiente), sin duda era cierto porque era mucha comida que no terminamos de comer. Pero claro, al final en la cuenta nos cobraron dos unidades de cada cosa, cuando claramente habíamos pedido una de cada y la carta NO especifica que te cobra por persona y no por plato. Por lo menos se debería avisar, así se evita pagar por comida (nada barata) que al final terminas tirando. Nunca en un chiringuito en la playa me habían estafado así. No lo recomiendo.

Like several other reviewers before us, we unfortunately got scammed here. We were not given menus, but instead were given the offer of some grilled fish. We liked the idea and the food was decent, but then we were presented with the bill. They charged us for 2.1 kg worth of fish, which we absolutely did not have, but of course we could not prove. We had to pay 156 euros for a 2-person lunch consisting of grilled fish, a handful of chips and a basic side salad. Avoid this place.

Just avoid at all costs! This is the receipt of what they charged us today and for a whole grilled fish. Seems overpriced right? A scam? Definitely the most expensive fish in the entire world! When you ask the staff about it they are so happy about it, just preying on tourists. Their behaviour is literally disgusting. And on top of this, this place is just below average! No wonder they get such bad reviews. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!and if you do have to stop at this place please ask for precise pricing so they don’t rip you off !!

Avoid this place at all costs. It is a shameless tourist trap that thrives on deception. They refused to give me a proper menu, which was the first sign they had something to hide. When the bill came, they had the audacity to charge me for a more expensive dish than the one I actually ordered. This isn’t bad service — it’s deliberate scamming. The food itself was forgettable, but the dishonest practices are what make this place truly disgraceful. They prey on tourists, banking on the fact that most people won’t challenge them. Do yourself a favor: walk past this place and find literally any other restaurant. You’ll get better food, fair prices, and won’t leave feeling cheated. This establishment deserves zero stars for its shady and exploitative behavior.

Agree with Karen Powell in the previous review. Lesson learned. Don’t order food anywhere if there is no menu with pricing displayed. We too expected an expensive bill but were not prepared for the extortionate prices charged for a pretty average meal of grilled fish, steak and a couple of beers. €147 for the two of us. To put it in perspective, €150 would pay for six nights excellent camper van accommodation where we are staying at Camping Giralda. Buy a beer there, enjoy the sun but don’t order food.

I was on my own and sat down waiting to be served. The place was full of people drinking (not eating)with the same idea. The waiter came over and I asked in my best Spanish for "One big beer please". The water asked if I was going to order food as well. I said maybe but I would like a drink first and watch the sun set from the table. He then asked me to leave in front of a full restaurant and pointed to the door! I was actually kicked out of the place!!!!!! On the up side I wandered over to Restaurante El Carmen just a few doors down. You can actually see the sun set from here and had an amazing authentic time there with amazing friendly welcoming staff and will be returning. Maybe I looked like the guy who's wife the waiter in Restaurante Océano Playa left him for or maybe.. Who knows... Restaurante Océano Playa sucks.... Avoid at all costs! Choose Restaurante El Carmen for a kinder welcome instead. Jed

Without a doubt, the worst food and service experience I have ever had in Spain. The waiter seemed to be insulted that we didn't order his recommended fish. Both portions of croquettes were stone cold, the mayonnaise was 3 months out of date, the cod we ordered was cold in the middle and finally the fried fish was terrible and slow to arrive. Waiter was rude when we pointed the stone cold food and offered no apology. Would not go back even if it was the only bar on the coast. Dreadful....a shame I can't give zero stars...

Warning there were no prices on the menu. Table service was appalling, ended up servicing our three meals separately, the 3rd meal was totally wrong but as my son had almost finished his I ate it rather than wait even longer. Chips were dripping in cooking oil and very salty. Bacon was try and hard. Sangria seemed to totally lack alcohol and was E12. Location was the only thing going for it.
