This place looks like a hole in the wall but hands down the best tacos and fajitas I had in my two weeks in Isla Mujeres. We got carry out (“para llevar”) from here several times in the week and not once were we disappointed by how excellent the place is. Cheap too, which never hurts.

A local gem! Go there late evenings and see how busy it is! You don’t get that amount of clientele unless you good! It’s a little family run business. I had burritos and a mate had a torta - they were really good and very affordable!

Estuve en Isla desde enero de 2022 a abril de 2022 y taquería Dominguez fue mi taquería preferida desde el primer momento, buen sabor y buen precio por comida honesta, simple y deliciosa, fui tantas veces que al volver a Chile y comer por una última vez, el dueño me obsequió una playera para que no los olvide!! definitivamente voy a volver a México y a Isla y espero que taquería Dominguez esté ahí como de costumbre para disfrutar una vez más!!! RECOMENDADÍSIMO.

Las tortas están súper deliciosas, muy grandes fácil puedes compartir con alguien más, son baratas al rededor de 130 pesos, atienden muy rápido y bien, lo súper recomiendo

Tristemente no tengo ninguna foto de lo que comí en este pero sin duda excelente la comida y la calidad de la misma. Probé burritos de carne de res y tacos de cochinita ahumada deliciosos ambos pero era demasiada comida porque el burrito era enorme. Recomiendo mucho ir a comer este lugar ya que ahí podrán encontrar los sabores originales de México

Excelente tacos, muy buen huacamole. Hasta las 8pm hay 2x1 en tragos. Sin dudas un lugar económico para comer y rico.

Si eres de la CDMX o el ESTADO DE MÉXICO te hará trasladarte a los tacos ricos de la esquina, por un momento eso sentí que estaba cerca de casa.

About the best and cheapest tacos to get! Both the chicken and pastor tacos were awesome, along with the rice and beans. I could have ate the pico right out of the bowl by itself.

Excellent little restaurant in the main (pedestrian) street in Isla Mujeres. My wife and I had lunch twice in our three days there - the reason: Mixed Burrito. The food was delicious, fresh and tasty, all ingredients perfectly mixed giving a great flavors. Our waiter was a nice young man - fast and efficient. From outside the restaurant does not look attractive, but once you try the food - this becomes irrelevant. Decent prices. Highly recommended!

Tacos are good. You can buy 1/2 kilo of carne al Pastor and make your own tacos. We did ask for cebollas asadas and queso fundido and frijoles refritos. They did bring small tortillas that are used for tacos al Pastor. The prices were really cheap and the service was super fast. It is a great place and I highly recommend it. We visited the place after being on the beach and before we went back in the ferry to Cancun. This is a place I will definitely visit again.

We stay at all inclusive on the island and always make sure to still come here for dinner at least one night. The food is great, the service is amazing. We stumbled upon this years ago and I’m so glad we did. If you want authentic Mexican then come here! There is a menu in Spanish and English. Limited English spoken and that’s ok, they make it work. (Remember, it’s México, that’s the language here). Locals seem to make a point to come to the tourist trap to eat, that speaks volumes to how good the food must be! Some of the poor reviews seem to be way off base, that green salsa is spicy, or this Hernandez is a wuss lol No restaurant wants people to sit for an hour and waste a table. Eat and go enjoy the island. Although, they have never made us feel rushed.

This is the one and only review you will need to read. My girlfriend and I have eaten at at least 10 different small taco shops comparable to this one during our time on the island. This has been the best one we have found for flavor and value. I highly recommend getting a torta from here but the tacos are also very good. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing Al pastor tacos. I can’t stress that enough. Go in and get some. Server was friendly and attentive. Ended up ordering a second round of drinks and tacos. Every time we saw someone politely decline the servers offer for food we wanted to yell after them that they were making a mistake. We did pay with card and had to accompany the server inside to the card reader and the woman with the reader was engrossed in a tv show but wasn’t offended but her uncaring attitude. I get it. Overall - fantastic tacos and drink. Already wanting more and wish we had found this place earlier.

Stopped in here on our “taco Tuesday” trying all the al pastor tacos we could. This place did not disappoint! Had an order of al pastor and barbacoa with a Fanta! Great stop on our taco tour!

It was a good place but once i heard about a rat i kinda got upset but the food was good and they always try to accommodate to your needs just don't asked for you food to be ready in 5 mins its not possible at least wait 10 other then that it was a good quick stop

Really good authentic tacos, and cheap, 17 pesos for a pastor, which is really good for isla. Barbacoa was excellent too. Best of all, no lettuce in sight. Try them out.

Realistically one and a half stars would be good The beef tacos were good that's it. Like other people mention the staff is very rude care less if you're not from here. Pastor tacos had absolutely no flavoring The salsa rojo was just red water The green sauce was hardly spicy, even the radishes were mild. There's better more friendlier places to eat

Tasteless food and rude service

SCAMMERS ! Do not go there if you are a tourist ! They will bring you a bill that sneaks in an extra 100-150 MXN more than what you ordered, and unless you watch out and calculate yourself what you are supposed to pay, then strongly debate with them why it doesn’t make sense, you’ll just pay without knowing, and they’ll still ask for tip afterwards ! The 2x1 special is also a scam. They charge more for the 2x1 than if you just buy 2 of the same items off the menu price. I strongly advise you avoid if you don’t want te get scammed.

I entered this place because I saw locals eating which is usually a good sign, but the lady that owns the place is the rudest I’ve ever seen. Me and my family tried to take a table and she refused to give us one because she doesn’t want us to “sit there and talk for a long time”. She prioritized her usual local customers saying that she loses money by letting us eat at her place. I don’t know who she thinks she is. What a disgrace I don’t recommend for any tourist.

Good food and very rude waiters. La comida muy rica, pero los meseros son muy groseros. Éramos 8 y solo nos daban 1 carta para todos, y respondían groseramente cuando pedíamos juntar las mesas. A un señor ya le estaban quitando la cerveza cuando aún tenía.

Pido mi cena con una cocacola. Me traen algo que no es lo que yo he pedido, y al decirle me lo retiran todo de la mesa y me dicen que le pague la cocacola que no me van a cambiar la comida. A parte de contarte, a pesar de ser cliente, por usar el baño (que ya podrían limpiar un poquito)

Si tienes ganas de comer unos ricos tacos, no vayas a este lugar. El servicio es pésimo. La mesera es muy grosera (una señora flaca) y todavía te pone la terminal en la cara para exigir su propina. El agua de jamaica sin sabor. La carne súper SECA! Le doy una estrella solo porque la segunda mesera (una señora de baja estatura) fue muy amable. I you are looking for some tasty tacos, don’t waste your time! Don’t go there! Worst customer service. The tall waitress is very RUDE! And she still asks for her tip, which she doesn’t deserve! Flavorless drinks. Very dry meat. I give it one star, just because there is another waitress (a short lady) she was the only kind human in that place.

The service was terrible. We came with a large group of people, buying quite a lot of food, and when we returned the second night they refused to sit us and had us eating on the street. Apparently our money is no good for them. We pretty much had to order and eat like dogs outside. The lady who owns the place is extremely rude and pretty much told us we were not important for her and she would rather give the tables to her returning customers. We DO NOT recommend going there. Much better tacos on the street, a million times better! Dont waste your time here.
