Excellent Pakistani flavor food, recommend the tandoor kebabs, nan...
Best food, best service and the management excellent specially Mr shahjee
Best kabab in town. Good service. I recommend to try it.
Good taste and best services
Love the chicken tikka masala and Nan. Not too expensive, consistently good for takeout. Samosas are great, except I wish they weren't so spicy.
Kashmir Chai is very delicious I love to take in this freezing weather n gajjer halwa super
Food is Good, Specially Seekh Kabab. Staff is also. Good customer Service. Owner Shahid and the other Guy, they both are very kind. Highly recommended
Very much friendly and neat and clean. Stuff are awesome. The girl Jebu and Asad was serving food professionally.
This is actually my favorite place to go to and my family have been going here forever almost 6 years and their food is amazingggg i literally tried everything and its all tasty even the briyani
Yes food quality is very good and prices is reasonable and staff is amazing
I like the nihari kababs Naan and variety of foods
Nice and fresh. Try it
Very clean and organized. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Service was fast and friendly. Food was tasty and delicious.
I was there yesterday with my family. They give me 5 stars service and food taste was amazing. I strongly recommend to my family and friends with whole community. Everyone needs to try for amazing service and food.
As usual Mouth watering Dishes and Grill Items. FANTASTIC taste of Spices and Balancing. LAMB korma was so tasty with Garlic Naan 😋.
Great food affordable and variety
Absolutely love this place. Kabab rolls here are the best and the naan is always delicious. Friendly owner and staff. Don’t let the appearance fool you. The vibe is old school but the food is worth it.
I've been here twice, and both times, I've gotten Naan and Shish Kababs. The food is amazing and always is made fresh!
Amazing butter naan and kababs 🔥🔥 and for a solid price too. Some items on the menu are questionable but the naan and kebabs always hit, especially with the white sauce.
Amazing food and nice service
After renovation this place became one of the best! Did a birthday party up at the hall really good food and service definitely will go again for any party
Amazing food, probably one of the best kebab and naan places in Queens. Their prices are unbeatable and their food is savory and authentic. We got kebab, naan, and a chaana deal. Before leaving we got a samosa and chai to go. Our only regret was not getting more! Come here for a genuine taste of Pakistan. Legit cannot best their flavor.
The Nehari and Kebab Roll are the top contenders. I have tasted Tikka and Dal on my visit and I must say all the menu is pure delight for desi authentic cuisine from Indo Pak... Ending was with Kheer and it was excellent A must try for all and thumbs up....
Attended a party on Friday and Family hall was well lit and decorated. Owner was super nice to give us a small tour of his kitchen too. Loved the black pepper karahi and biryani
Their foods are delicious. Specially the kabab, nihari
Bbq Village offers a delightful blend of Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Indian flavors, with mouthwatering dishes and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic South Asian cuisine.
BBQ Village is a hidden gem on Hillside! The food is bursting with authentic flavor, the fresh grill kabab are out of this world. Everything is fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The staff is welcoming, and the place is always clean. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Pakistani BBQ done right!
My relatives usually order from this place and the food has always been consistently good so today I decided to stop in myself. Inside is clean & roomy with a burst of Desi spices & smells of curries welcoming you in. We got the Chilli Chicken, Chicken masala chicken & beef kababs & spinach. The kababs bbq flavor was a 10 out of 10. Chutney white & green were both great especially the white one because it had a hint of sweetness, usually restaurants make their white sauce too acidic but that wasn't the case here. Service & employees are friendly and helpful. They took their time to make me fresh karahi which I defiintely appreciated. Jazak'Allah khair.
I am sharing my honest review about BBQ village, I have tried many items from their menu and love everything. They serve a lot of variety of food and everything fresh and taste is scrumptious everytime. Their must try item are seekh kebab, fresh naan, paya, channa and kheer (with naan). Everything is worth the price also they have different item on different days like nihari, paya, karai pakora and daal. Do visit if you are in Queen's.... #besthalalplace
Excellent food, service on the other hand not the best, very low patience, can be difficult to communicate with an already frustrated hot. food takes long to Come out.
I often enjoy crossing cultural lines, particularly when it comes to fine dining, a healthy lifestyle and foods which eventually delivers on its promise to be "Halal". You should find the time to make your way to BBQ Village on Hillside Ave. I ENJOYED IT.
Pakistani food, and it's absolutely dilicious. I am not too fond of the sweets there, but i do recommend the lamb chop the most.
The food is good and the prices aren't but customer service needs some work.....
The food is good but it's not the cleanest place
Best kebabs in Queens but the rest of the food is okay. Their til naans are great too, and generally recommended for those looking for Paki food. Their chicken tikka is literally the worst in the world, an insult to chicken tikka. NEVER get the chicken tikka.
BBQ Village offers decent naan and kabobs, although their consistency can be hit or miss. At times, the naan can be pre-made and a bit tough, and wait times may be lengthy. However, their kebabs are generally tasty. The main issue lies in their service, which is often unreliable; they frequently make mistakes with orders as other reviews have mentioned, charge incorrectly due to that, and sometimes exhibit unprofessional behavior. Additionally, they enforce a $10 card minimum, which can catch customers off guard during payment because it is written very small on the wall. Despite these shortcomings, BBQ Village is still worth a visit for its generally good food quality. However, improvements are needed, particularly in service and organization.
They charge three dollar in tax on a $16 food bill. I paid with cash. Never going there again.
Service can be a little slow at times like right before sunset during Ramadan, but it's usually pretty good. The main thing that I get here are the Seekh Kababs. These seem to be the most popular item, so there are constantly more being made, and you will probably get a fresh Kabab. They taste great, are pretty long, and are only $2. They also come with a green sauce (thin & minty) and white sauce (thick and sweet) on the side. I personally prefer the white sauce and ask for just white sauce. As for other items, I tried a few of the fried things, and they were pretty underwhelming. Cold and soggy. That's why I'm giving this place a 3 stars. It would be 5 stars if they just sold the Seekh Kababs.
Food is better than okay, and it is served to you. For this visit the front lady was not clear in explaining nor did I receive my desired order. They have both prepared and unprepared food as well as Indian subcontinent sweets. Parking is a bit tricky. Overall okay, will come back to check out other foods.
Be careful. Allway, check your bill. They charge more than the initial amount and ask for a breakdown receipt.
Customer service is not good Only Kabab roll is the good Other food are frozen and taste less
They serve days old food - I bought chana daal & it smelled rotten & tasted SOUR. Tried to get a refund since I didn't pay money to get expired food but refunds "aren't allowed". Don't try this place unless you want a stomach bug.
Had there food twice. First time I ordered , chicken kebab and garlic naan. Chicken kebab was minced way too much Which made me hate the texture and taste 5/10. Garlic naan was 10/10. No complaints for garlic naan. Second time I came , I ordered palak paneer , chaana, yellow rice , naan , shaami kebab , and butter chicken tikka masala. I went there around opening time 11:40am -12pm hoping it would be a good time since they opened and might be fresh. I was wrong because Some food tasted like they were from the night before. The yellow rice was stale and over cooked. Butter chicken tikka masala was undercooked. Chaana has a weird smell. Smelt like old people , it’s the seasoning they used.Shaami kebab 0/1o hated it. Didn’t taste like meat at all. Tasted old as well. Everything needed to be warmed up which made me think it was old food. I had some left over food the next day and felt sick from it. They are overly priced. A better alternative to this restaurant would be al Meheran on parsons hillside (6-7 min drive from this place and totally worth it) (try out their double kebab roll and you won’t regret it !) This place only deserves two stars for their naan and garlic naan which are 10/10 but if you go anywhere you’ll probably find the same taste anywhere since it can be easily made.
Horrible food, smells like blood and uncooked, gave me diarrhea for the next 24 hrs , had to go bathroom 3 times. Stay away..unclean, unhygenic.
completely wasted my money.would not recommend to anyone unless you want to take a chance! Food smells uncooked, unhygenic maintainance.Worst experience with food!
Outside the restaurant very filthy inside the restaurant is poor staff is and-presentation sucks of the food management can do much better what they choose to do what ever the health department needs to come down there and grade the place.
NOT RECOMMEND- Most likely making money -rotten smells coming out from 3 out of 4 items foods ,I would say just garbage food.$$55!!!
Be mindful that you will get overcharged plus zero customer service Don't recommend this place
Very poor place to have food over here. Should be the last place to have food place. All the shops in Jamaica NYC are just diagusting.
Such a dirty place ever I see in New York city. The price’s super high even if you sit there for eat they’ll charge you additional money.Horrible place...not recommended at all
One of the worst BBQ place in this neighborhood food is extremely poor quality
most likely the food that you are eating is about 4 or 5 days all. (chicken and meat It is soaked in ginger to get the rotten smell off or to masked 😷... Don't worry, it is overcooked for your taste 😋, enjoy 😉
They sell rotten food and too rude to you if you ask for refund or exchange. And always rude to customers.
They treat certain people better others , as if giveing bad service to certain people is a requirement ,.last I went they had 5 microwaves they heat food in before serving it, better finding another spot 🐿️
If you are lucky you will get the fresh food even Naan and that's really nice and you have to beg for it otherwise you will spend money to buy garbage. They know how to make good food but they don't serve their best.
food was good, but the portions are just ridiculous, especially last night i ordered naan and beef curry to go, when i got home i was shocked to find two less-than 1" cubes of beef in the container with a ton of oily gravy. never again.....
Every single time I order ahead they never make it and only start when I come into the shop. Then why do you say it’ll be ready in 10 mins
The food was good but being charged way more than what was listed.
Today i went there for lunch i had yellow rice chicken churry chana masla and shami kaban nothing was fresh all food was leftover from days don’t waste your money over there
The worst taste of rice is too smelly I think it's leftover biryani's worst taste
Kababs are stale and they overcharge you. The owner estimates his tips. Only end up going here as a last resort always regret it lol.
Couldn't eat their chicken biriani, like rotten, bad smell. Even butter chicken also bad quality. Completely waste of money.
Awful service. The people who work here are insanely rude and don’t fix the orders they mess up. The place is also old and dirty. 0/10 recommend.
Didn't like the food at all. It was really costly but tasted stale and bland. Just their roti was good.
THE OWNER HAS NO MANAER, FOOD IS VERY MID. WENT THERE TO GET FOOD DIDNT GET WHAT I ORDERED WHEN I CALLED BACK, HE HUNG UP ON ME 2 TIMES TEH 3RD TIME HE TOLD ME COME BY THE STORE HE DOESNT WANT TO TALK OVER THE PHONE. AVOID THE PLACE
They are just here for stealing money.. I went for naan 1 guy said it's 25 dollars, but the other guy came he said, "Why 25 dollars it's plus tax I Siad ok i pay tax I have short 1 dollor my order amount came after tax $41. Then I said I paid with my card and they charged me one more time tax for card they chard $45.. It's a totally bad experience not recommended.. they shouldn't charge extra money for card tax is fine but more than 40 dollars they charged tax for card aswell
Their food is absolutely the worst of in New York. I got their samosa and the potato was rotten inside. This is not the first time. My colleague also brought some samosa from their shop few months later for me and him. And it was rotten and smelly again!!!! They sell rotten, unhealthy foods!
After Work I bought biriyani from them for dinner when i came home and opened it was smelling bad also the biriyani became slippery. They gave me a spoiled biryani. Seemed like it was a day old or two. I went back to the store with the biryani ,they didn't even apologize. They old guy was just swearing saying it never happens. Why would someone swear on god & lie? Very disappointed at this place.
I went there today and bought chicken biryani and chicken korma to eat at home, the biryani has a rotten food smell and the korma tastes horrible like they put some chemical to remove rotten food smell because it tasted like perfume. . I called the restaurant and told them about it but they rudely said they will keep selling it because the chef said it’s fine. What a thief because they are stealing money from customers like this it’s 100% haraam earning if they do not know. Also no one would sell their product without knowing the quality, therefore they know their food is halfway to rotten but still they trying to make money out of it. It is extremely sad to face something like this because we are working hard and our hard earned cash is snatched right under our nose. Save your money. I hope the NYC health department does something about this place. Also Allah is watching they will get bad Karma.
I bought 10 kebab and 5 naan. The kebab are undercooked and not good at all. Not the kebab they used to make. Also salad had bad smell looks like they mixed old salad with new one typical of desi people. Wasted my money.
I bought food for my family for dinner and the Chicken Biryani was stale and old. It was not fresh at all. When I warmed it up at home, it was smelly and there was a lot of residual oil coming from the Biryani. I called the restaurant and the guy said it was fresh and something like this never happened to them or any other customer. When I went to return it, the guy was trying to teach me about Biryani. I'm from Southeast Asia, I grew up on Biryani so I know what a fresh Biryani should look like. Never order food from this restaurant because you won't get the freshest food but stale and leftover food from days ago.
I make bad order by telling them about the price before buying the food then they keep extra money from me which is fraud and they provide rotten stale salad and they replace 3-4 days old kebab and resell everyone beware
Horrible. Ordered food in advance the day before PER THEIR REQUEST, to not have the chicken spicy. Food came very spicy. Owner is very rude when I called him Bout it. Told me "THEN DON'T BUY FROM ME ANYMORE". Did not accommodate. We are having iftar with elders and kids and no one can eat the food. Think twice about this place and eat elsewhere.
I am a nursing that takes public transportation. After a long day of school , as i wait for the bus i realized that my battery percentage was on 3% and with the new technology you can pay your bus fare using your Apple Pay . Luckily i was standing in front of B.B.Q village when i decided to go inside and ask of the staffs behind the counter if i can charge my phone while i wait for the bus. The staff okayed that i charge my phone while i wait for the bus . It was about 3 minutes into charging my phone that another individual seems to be part owner or part of the staff team as he spoke to me rudely and with authority stating “ you should not come into people’s business and charge your phone without asking for permission” i was shooked because although i realized this was not the same men that i interacted with earlier when i asked for permission. I proceeded to let him know that i did ask for permission from his fellow mate and which the man confirmed that i asked for permission. With no apology he just kept walking , i was so embarrassed because so many other customers were in the store. With my embarrassment and disbelief from such a treatment from such a business in the community. I unplugged my charger and told him to have a great day. Lucky my percentage were able to go from 3% to 7%. Thank you to the kind man who originally allowed me to charge my phone. This 1 star is to teach you how to treat others. Be kind to someone as you have no idea what they’re going through or what kind of day they are having.
The worst place ever to buy food! The customer service is beyond bad and the cashier lady gave me the worst somucha when I ordered, then after I saw the one with almost nothing inside told her to change it with another one. I believed her and after I came out of the store I found she had put the same somucha in my bag. I can’t believe she did this! However that was my last day to there, never again!
Been ordering chicken kebab and naan from here for years. However, the food quality has gone down significantly. On more than one occasion, I have been served old food. Smelly and rotten. Today I gave it one more chance and the chicken kebabs tasted very fishy and salty. Not up to standard at all. Honestly, I have supported this business for so long but it is demoralizing when they can do better but settle for subpar wuakity control, without addressing glaring flaws in their operation. Just lost a regular customer.
I bought 12 naans for $1.50 each , drove 10 minutes got home . Naans were hard and skinny , not in a condition to eat. Every time I buy naans they are always hard. i am not going their again . i rather go somewhere alse.
Long one but you should read before thinking about ordering and eating here. We did a large order of sheesh kebabs pieces for a new years event get together. They were spoiled. They gave off a yogurt and sour like smell, this smell wasn’t there when we bought it, but overtime it got worse and was evidently not fresh food. During the event it was noticeable, and members could not eat the food, as it was most likely dangerous to serve. They gave a mix of fresh and old kebabs from the day , most likely did not make it on the spot. I noticed the chef or worker grabbing multiple from a container , with his bare hands as well. We went back the next day , and presented the spoiled kebabs they sold as evidence. the workers were willing to refund only the pieces we bought back from the event that wasn’t thrown out , and were not willing to refund the order since the rest were missing. If food is spoiled, how would u expect all pieces to be there if it had to be thrown out ? They wanted us to pick the kebabs off ppls plate, bring them all back , for a full refund. What ? They didn’t want to believe us , the manager knows my mother frequents that place for these orders, but thought we were lying. Mind you the order was only 35 kebabs, how much money would they really lose, maybe business isn’t doing well anymore and they need count their pennys. We didn’t care about the money when they said that. Shows their pure neglect and wanted to alter the issue and make it our fault, when they sold and served poisoned food. We walked out not taking their offer, serving bad product and being cheap is not good restaurant practice, or in general good behavior. We went to test them, to see if they were willing to give the entire money back, we would say no it’s okay next time make sure it’s okay. But then the managers behavior and neglect left us leaving with a sour taste in our mouth just like their food. Keep our money, you need it. This business should have realized the health hazard they made, and should have out of good will realized their mistake , and should have been accommodated out of their negligence. People could have been sick from their food, worse end up hospitalized, the meat was not fresh, instead trying to argue. Manager didn’t seem smart. I was a seasoned customer, the lack of common sense and behavior from the manager has made them lose a customer, to be fair I had suspicions of this place food safety, and last night I was sure of it. I will also be spreading word in my neighborhood, people who I recommended this place to out of town. and hillside ave in general to avoid this place as people frequently go here due to its location. Have your chef wear gloves when making the kebabs, I noticed he is bare handed when making the meat. Double check your meat quality, how it’s being stored, and have some dignity and common sense. This place needs new management and workers, and cleanliness. DO NOT EAT HERE , THEY DO NOT SERVE FRESH FOOD, RESTAURANT IS HEALTH HAZARD. MANAGER LACKS COMMON SENSE AND DIGNITY.
Usually go here to get food but the man behind the counter was using a washcloth to clean the cooking area and using those same hands to touch the kababs without washing his hands. it’s completely unsanitary. Told the other employee there and he just shrugged his shoulders.
They choose to serve their own before anyone else. I went in ordered naan before 5 other people. They get their food and I’m still there waiting for something I ordered before everyone else. So because I don’t look Muslim that means you can treat me like I’m nobody. I remember now why I don’t go there I don’t care what you food taste like !
Very spoiled Bihari kabab. They are not cooked well and smells bad, like not fresh
Chicken biryani have bad smell and bad taste Im sure they make it 2,3 days before
Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else. I was the only customer there, no other take out orders and I still had to wait 1 HOUR for my food. The naan was basically cardboard, impossible to chew. Butter chicken was cold….cmon man. Low tier food.
Guy behind the counter is very very rude.. not a Muslim like behavior especially in the month of Ramadan. Food is expensive for nothing besides grade is pending. After he packed my food I asked him to give me 1 “pakora”., he barked at me by saying “you have to pay” like I’m asking it for free while I’ve already purchased over $13 worth of foods. He couldn’t politely notify me by saying “that’ll be $1.50 extra”. After I took my food I was trying to buy a bottle of water which was $2.50. I’ve already paid $13 & charges with my card now I wanted to put that $2.50 on my card too., again he barked at me by saying “you have to buy $10 or more “ . I just bought $13 & charges worth of foods 1 min ago.. anyway I just put the water back & walked out. This is the first time & last time for me. I’m never going back there.. I’ll tell my friends & families also not to go there. Actually there’s no other halal restaurant around that area., that’s why this guy thinks he got the customers by the neck & treat them whichever the way he wants to.. shame on these kind of people.
I hate leaving negative reviews for small businesses but this error on their part is inexcusable. I placed an order for 12 kebabs and 4 naans and they gave me 4 kebabs and 12 naans instead. Silly mistake, right? That’s alright but I asked for a resolution (refund for the kebabs AT LEAST) and the guy laughed and said “no refund on food” and then tried to cover up the error by apologizing and stating that the guy who packed the order is “new”. I tried to explain it to him again and he still refused to seek some form of resolution. Said he’ll take my number down and call me back. Never called back. Decided to just go in instead and the owner tried to charge us an additional $25 after he stated that he would be willing to refund the entire amount. It was evident that this man has a huge temper and clearly not that bright. No resolution at the end. Terrible service. It made me realize that just because an establishment is considered a small business does not mean it’s ethical to provide them with support if the owner himself is a terrible person.
Please do not eat here if you love your health they are serving food with mold which can cause health problems I was there yesterday buying biryani look into the glass case saw there are serving fry chicken with mold on it I immediately changed my mind .. I return the food I buy an show the cashier the chicken they are serving .the cashier said she cannot refund me because I purchase with card .. I said ok an leave the food with them Here an image of the chicken by the way
