Este restaurante es simplemente espectacular. El ambiente es acogedor y muy agradable, un lugar donde te sientes a gusto desde el primer momento. Pero si hay algo que realmente destaca es la comida: excepcional, cuidada al detalle y siempre deliciosa. Somos clientes habituales y siempre repetimos, porque la calidad se mantiene en cada visita. Sin duda, un restaurante totalmente recomendable y una apuesta segura en Jávea.

Orientados por las buenas reseñas que vimos de este restaurante llegamos aquí y comprobamos que las tienen porque se las merecen. Buena calidad de la comida, buen ambiente (un restaurante muy bonito) y sobre todo (y para mí lo más importante) muy buen trato por parte de los dos camareros que nos han atendido. Sin duda una calidad precio inmejorable y un trato excepcional, por lo que 100x100 recomendable. Por cierto, comimos arroz del señoret 👌💯

It was our first night in Javea and this family restaurant was recommended by a friend. First off, the view from the restaurant is breathtaking. We were seated in the terrace overlooking the beach, definitely the best spot to enjoy sunset views with your dinner. We got a warm welcome from the staff, as if we were regulars already, making effort to make us feel at home with their recommendations and great sense of humor. For the food, instead of choosing ourselves, we let them surprise us and indeed we were! We didn’t opt for a menu but it was simply tapas served after another (with some mains for sharing). We started with the russian salad, which had a very nice aioli dip, to prepare us for the star(s) of the show. Afterwards came the grilled calamari and grilled cuttlefish, both so soft and with the same salsa verde which was just enough not to overpower the fresh flavor of the seafood! Then they served the clams, mussels, and gambas which are classics we enjoyed, while the clams and mussels didn’t leave much of an impression, the gambas however were so big and juicy! We couldn’t resist dipping our bread in the ‘sauce’ afterwards because it’s so good. The real show stealer was the grilled octopus served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. We loved everything about this dish, how perfectly grilled it was, tender, lightly seasoned not to overpower its taste and just the right amount of char! I still dream about this to this day. To end the meal, we got what seemed like a tasting platter of all their desserts. I love how they elevated the so called ‘basics’. My personal favorite was the white chocolate pannacotta with just the right amount of sweetness. The fig pudding was also delicious, specially the sauce! We will definitely come back here again when we’re in the area and I will recommend this to everyone who’s visiting Javea! Such a great experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is (quite possibly) the best restaurant in xabia. Service is excellent. Staff are professional and friendly. Seating is comfortable. Food is fresh cooked and a high standard. The decor is authentic and nicely done. If you are looking for a high class place to eat do not miss this place off your itinerary.

Had a serene experience yesterday. While dining out we saw the blood moon rise from the sea in its full glory! That was enough to make us happy. But not yet! The food was tremendously good. I ordered veg paella and it was tasty. Also ordered patatas brava which had a good spicy mix. Grilled veg platter had a good variety of vegetables. On top of it the busy staff was always cheerful and friendly. They treated all customers with warm smile and great suggestions. Must visit place. Do not skip!

Great experience! 10/10 we were travelling with my husband through Costa Brava with many stops for sightseeing and food trying a lot of Mediterranean restaurants recommended by various sites and Google ratings, also couple so-called „fancy” places with beautiful interiors and poor food taste and poor service. In 80% of cases we were treated with low prio (probably becasue we are young?). It was completely the opposite in Pepe y Estrella place! Team was very friendly, open and smiling. Food was delicious, the best we have had so far: tapas, fish, sangria and desserts, literally everyting was perfect. Patatas bravas made as fries covered in spicy sauce were delightful! All of the dishes were extremely flavourful!

It’s our go to after 15 years holidaying in Javea, great service, good English ( my Spanish is poor) with a great menu. Jose and Marco always attentive and happy to recommend or explain the dishes. Fish stews & Paella are our favourite although there are many other choices, also a fixed price 3 course just ask. Moi Bien!

Atención muy buena y precios baratos para la zona, comida no floja Al sentarte te ponen una tapa de ensaladilla con alioli y pan que no se cobra como en otros sitios Las croquetas son congeladas aunque salen a 1€ croqueta La sepia está rica, algo escasa la ración por 10€ pero bueno El gazpacho bien, casero sin más aunque debería venir más frío La fritura de pescado algo escasa igual, sin mas Está bien por atención, estar a pie de playa y los precios no son altos pero a falta de probar el arroz los platos no destaca ninguno, para comer sin esperar nada

Aunque el propitario/responsable que te recibe parece serio luego es amable, pedimos el menú del dia de 22,90 ya que los arroces que pasaron a otras mesas nos dejaron que desear.. La comida en general esta buena, quiza falta presentacion. Un poco incómodo pasar por la cocina abierta junto al baño. En comparación es de los mejores de la zona

Restaurante realmente sorprendente. Frente al mar, muy bien ventilado, bien de precio. Los camareros son muy atentos y amables. De entrante traen alioli, el cual repetimos porque estaba muy bueno. Para comer pedimos arroz para tres, tenía los bordes un poco quemados con lo que el grano estaba duro. La parte del medio estaba muy buena. De postre, recomiendo la tarta de turrón.

Restaurante con bonitas vistas, un poco separado. Cenamos en la terraza, con ventilador. La comida bien, la verduras en tempura estaban muy buenas. Parrillada de pescado bien, casi todos en su punto, uno bastante hecho. Cruet see componía de los mismo pescado que la parrillada, lastima. Todos los platos eran para compartir. Estaba bien, aunque se apoderaba el pimentón (el plato es así, nada que decir) Pedimos un cava brut naure, no tenían nos ofrecieron otro día de carta que era brut. Nos sacaron una jarra de agua, es de agradecer. El servicio, el camarero muy bien, la camarera no también.

El Restaurante Pepe y Estrella se encuentra en Jávea (Alicante), en primera línea de playa cuya terraza tiene las vistas a la Bahía. Nos encontramos con una amplia carta y diversos tipos de menú. Nos decantamos por un menú de arroz caldoso para cuatro personas, que comprendía para compartir una ensalada de la casa y dos tapas, en este caso chipirones y croquetas que estaban deliciosas y un arroz meloso de gambas y rape. Incluía en el precio el pan, el vino y el postre. Pedimos una botella grande de agua y nos la cobraron aparte, detalle a cuidar pienso yo… Para finalizar con los postres, en este caso tarta de chocolate, tarta de pistachos (ambas muy ricas) y helado. El servicio impecable, estando la dueña siempre pendiente de todas las mesas. La única pega es que al no poder utilizarse la terraza por el tiempo, las mesas en el interior estaban demasiado pegadas unas a otras.

Los camareros fueron muy atentos y educados, muy agradables. La comida la esperaba mejor, sinceramente, las sardinas con la carne poco tersa y sin limpiar las tripas, rebozados algo brutos y calidad mejorable del producto. El precio estuvo bien. Una pena teniendo un enclave inmejorable. Quiero pensar que la baja calidad del producto fue algo puntual. La próxima vez pediremos el menú de arroz que tenía buena pinta.

Great location with see view. Service was great our waiter helped us pick a lovely wine and explained what was on the menu. My only niggle was that the paella was a little too salty for me. Hemos vuelto tras nuestra decepcionante cena del día anterior. Fuimos 4 personas y pedimos a compartir los chopitos y los mejillones. Muy acertadas ambas raciones tanto por calidad como por precio. Los chopitos ya los habíamos pedido el día anterior. Pedimos arroz de señoret para 4 personas. Calidad precio no está mal pero sinceramente no es un arroz para recordar. No lo recomendaría. El camarero que nos atendió fue muy amable en comparación con sus compañeros de la noche anterior. De todas formas mantengo mi postura respecto a la reseña anterior, no es un sitio para ir, no puedo recomendarlo.

Unfortunately, the name "fish soup" is definitely misleading because it didn't contain a single piece of fish... only seafood... I don't like seafood, so I searched for a long time for a place where I could actually eat fish soup, but it turned out that even here it is fishy only in name... Besides, the soup seemed to be water from boiled seafood rather than an aromatic broth, and there were soggy croutons floating in it... I wasn’t satisfied with it. The place itself is really pleasant, and I have no complaints about the service either.

Busy for the height of tourist season, so book. Good local seafood and especially tiny clams. The reviews rave about the paella but it was pretty ordinary compared to others around.

La ubicación del restaurante un 10. Cuando llegas te ponen una tapita y pan, pan que luego te lo cobran bien cobrado por persona, sin preguntar si todos comen o no, lo dan por hecho, 1,50€ por persona. Pedimos varias cosas, las gambas en tempura solo sabían a masa y el arroz meloso de rape y gambas, además de estar pasado y fachoso, no tenía sabor a nada. Pagas por la ubicación no por la calidad de la comida.

We went here last year and had Paella, i don't remember which one (i think the Vallencia) but it was very nice. Plus the reviews are always good. This time we asked which Paella they recommended. They recommended the seashell one, really nice according to the waiter and everything peeled. When it came it looked really sad tiny pieces. Mussels looked like raisins. I am convinced we got frozen seafood. Everything was boiled to rubber. It looked like there was surimi in it (the cubes) which is a tell tale. We were with our two year old so we did not want to stretch the night too long. Asked what we could order on the side quite quickly as it was lacking any filling. Got the mini fried calamari. It tastes like old fry oil and nothing else. They comped the calamari and two beers. It is not about the money though. This was our first night in Spain and we are just very disappointed. Real shame.

As a preface to my comment below in the 1980’s I was the head chef of an award-winning restaurant so I speak from a perspective of understanding on how a kitchen performs. We booked here for our wedding anniversary (15/10/23). We selected our meals and my wife’s, and my wife’s friend’s starter came out it was obvious to us that the two men had been forgotten about as our starter s came out ten minutes later, by this time my wife and her friend were given their main meals my wife ordered Duck and was given Shoulder of Lamb so that had to go back The main course came out whilst my friend and I were still eating our starters and instead of taking the meals back they stood around waiting for us to finish our starter by which time my Dover sole was lukewarm. After all, three of us had finished our meals my wife’s main meal came out and we watched her eat it. The desserts were fine. My wife always tells me off for being generous with my tipping but being a chef for over 30 years I know the importance of showing your appreciation to the staff by tipping. Being this was my treat for my wife and our friends and the absolutely shambolic way this restaurant is ran I did not tip, and I would not recommend this place for a special meal.
