Everything was so good here that it's hard to narrow it down enough do find a starting point for this review. Let's start with the food, shall we? I browsed the menu without much enthusiasm as I imagined a mediocre lunch that was overly priced. Boy, was i wrong. I ended up ordering the Blackened mahi mahi with mango plantains and the conch soup and can easily say it was the best linch I've ever had. The soup was one of the best soups I've ever had. It was filled with flavor and had a very pleasant kick to it. The mahi, without exaggeration, was the best piece of fish I've ever had. Crispy, tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented, it was a pure pleasure to devour. My husband ordered the conch stuffed shrimp and the 1/4 pound of crab legs, which is possibly the most fun item on the menu--a side of juicy crab legs, anyone? T And the food certainly isn't the only treasure Conchy Joe's has to offer. The vibes are exactly what you hope to find on the coast--light, airy, islandy, and oh-so-Florida. There's tons of space inside, an outdoor area right on the water overlooking good views and inlet activities, and great music that doesn't drown out your conversations. The service is amazing, as well. The staff was friendly, lunch was served quickly, and I was made to feel like there wasn't a care in the world. If you are looking for the perfect Florida spot, look no further--Conchy Joe's IS the decision!
It's a cool place. They've got great food, & there's live music on a good sized stage... I will say the parking has improved since they put the new 250 seat room in! Good menu choices, good for kids, nice view of the river, & just an overall nice place to eat or see live music!
Happy hour at the tiki outside bar was amazing. Staff attentive and hard working, knew their menu. Great stop for Two for One beers, wines and well drinks. Great 70’s band vibing in the background with an array of rock and blues ✌️ Chowder was tasty and loaded with clams and potatoes. I had the conch sliders, buns were rock hard but I don’t eat the bread anyway.. burger was good. I will tell you it’s a must stop in Jensen Beach for a fantastic happy hour experience and catch a gorgeous sunset. Fun crowd can’t wait to come again.
We were there when it was cold out, which was disappointing because I would have loved to eat outside! But the ambience was still great. Rachel was our server. She was attentive and kept our drinks full. We got the fish dip, alligator and calamari- all three were fantastic (I forgot to take pictures). For an entree I got the shrimp and scallop risotto, and added the 1/4 pound crab legs. The risotto had amazing flavor- it was just a little dry for me, I wish it was just a tad creamier. I'd give it a 9/10. My boyfriend got the filet- it was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well. We were very happy with our experience and we would definitely visit again!! They also gave me a free coozie with my beer!!
What’s more to say/write about this restaurant? We’ve been staying 1 -2 months a year on North Hutchinson Island for the past 5 or so years and we just now found out about Conchy Joe’s. They’ve been around since 1979 and have become a local Jensen Beach landmark; and deservedly so given their great food, service and location (right on the water). Just had dinner there and we were not disappointed! Along with the excellent food, the servers/wait staff were helpful, informative, attentive and very professional. Strongly recommended if you are looking for great seafood and a memorable dining experience. Our only regret is that we hadn’t found out about them sooner; certainly a neat surprise.
Loved the experience here. Great scenery, food and awesome staff, along with live shows. They have valet parking along with a huge parking lot across the street to use. They also have a boardwalk to view the ocean with right outside. Plenty of bar space for you also.
What a beautiful atmosphere right on the water! My band and I had such a good time playing there, the staff were very helpful and kind to us, the patrons were super fun and everybody got up and danced. And the food was really good. Thank you!
Shout out to our waiter Robert! He was fantastic! Kind and attentive! Wonderful service. Food was outstanding. Been coming to Jensen for 20 years and this was our first visit. We will be sure this is an annual visit!!
My husband and I went to Conchy Joe's for lunch on our anniversary. We hadn't been in years and we were surprised at how much it has expanded since our last visit. The food was delicious! Service was impeccable. We ate in the new tiki on the water. The fans and the breeze kept us surprisingly comfortable. Would highly recommend.
They have a happy hour menu! Special times! We sat in the bar area at a high top and had the water view. 😍. We ordered a few things and sat and enjoyed! Food was good! View was amazing. They have live music most evenings. Waiter was super friendly and attentive. I'll b back !
We went for lunch time. They were busy yet very quickly sat us down and took our order. For drink I asked for Malibu with pineapple and blue curaçao but it seems they used coconut rum in substitute they never asked if I was okay with it just brought it you can definitely tell the difference. I like fruity drinks that was way off while my drink was 2/10 the food was amazing 10/10. Definitely recommend
The food is always wonderful, the fish tacos were a great dinner dish tonight . The plantains are really good. The key lime pie is the best I have had in a while. They did a huge building expansion, it looks amazing and the service and kitchen are still keeping up!
Went to dinner here this week and it was great! They had a bunch of cool t shirts and an awesome patio. Our waitress Rachel was very helpful with the food and drink menus - and very attentive! The conch fritters and seafood mac and cheese are AMAZING!
The atmosphere was a nice waterfront Jamaican bar/restaurant. Since it was not high season, it was very relaxing, and I didn't feel rushed. The clam chowder was tasty with a good garlic flavor but not overbearing. The conch fritters were elastic, which is to be expected but good. And then the seafood linguini, the yellow fin, and the plantains were spot on.
I hadn’t been to Conchy Joes since the renovation. It’s a beautiful upgrade. Our server was well informed and made great suggestions. One suggestion was the Chile Lime Bowl, which was delicious.
This is hands down my favorite local spot, and a huge reason why is Brian behind the bar. He’s absolutely wonderful , always welcoming, attentive, and somehow manages to keep the vibe upbeat and relaxed at the same time. Brian remembers what people like, makes great recommendations, and genuinely makes everyone feel like a regular even if it’s their first time in. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it really shows in the atmosphere he creates. If you’re looking for a place with great energy, great drinks, and even better service, go see Brian. He brings the kind of vibe that keeps you coming back.
I figured it’d be like a touristy spot with subpar food, but no. The food was incredible, the scenery was gorgeous, the service was excellent (Anna was great!), and had very clean bathrooms. We went for a family dinner on a Sunday evening, and the weather was perfect to sit outside in the Tiki area located inside/outside on the waterfront. Live music in the background too. A very pleasant experience and I’m excited to share and go back! Nothing but good things to say.
*** Beautiful Scenery, Live Music, and Great Food *** It was a delight to experience Conchy Joe's Seafood for the first time. This place is huge and has seating for over 600 people. The way it is sectioned inside you would never know it. It sits on the coast of Jensen Beach and offers a ravishing scene of the water life. Jordyn, one of the managers was pleasant and made sure we were well taken care of. The restaurant has great seafood and friendly service, all while enjoying live music from local bands. There's plenty of parking as they own the entire parking lot directly across the street from the restaurant. This place is a must if you plan or happen to be close to Jensen Beach. Highly Recommend - 5-Stars
First time back here in a long time. Completely changed with the big new tiki pavilion. Went for music nights (Wed- Sun) Thoroughly enjoyed the classic rock band "Hemp Farm Hippies". Hope they are playing here again soon! The place was rocking and the vibe was great. Had an excellent server named Wesley and despite the place being really busy the service was very good. I tried the "Works" burger and was glad I did. It was great. My companion had the shrimp tacos and they were equally as good. Great selection of beers on tap.
We got their bloody mary special they do on Sundays only. WOW!! This thing was huge and so delicious! Two of us couldn't finish it all. The cornbread and cinnamon bread were warm and fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is on the water. Everything is outside but covered up. They also had a live band playing. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other foods.
Anniversary dinner, good prices for beer 2 for 1 happy hour. Smoked fish dip was actually a little bland, shrimp tacos were very good, fried mahi sandwich was ok, but at $25 a bit high and nothing exceptional.
We had a good experience there. I can say that the food is great! At least what we ordered. I had sweet potato crusted is mahi mahi with honey butter. One of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had! We also ordered the blackened salmon and salmon burger which were both nice and fresh. I think I might say is that they really know how to cook fish! Not just the flavours, but the temperature and texture. We were welcome with warm fresh corn bread which was more like a dessert but so delicious. Our sever Sarah was great and gave some solid recommendations. The menu can be overwhelming so just ask your server. Would definitely go back again if I’m in the area. Price was decent too.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently bought a condo in the area and stopped by Conchy Joe’s Seafood Restaurant in Jensen Beach for lunch — and wow, what a great experience! 🌴🍹 The piña colada was refreshing, and my orange-flavored cocktail hit the spot! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a laid-back Florida afternoon. There was plenty of parking, and although the wait was a little long, it was worth it. The live music added a great vibe, and you can really tell they’ve put effort into refurbishing the space. The waterfront views are amazing — definitely a must-visit spot for anyone near the Treasure Coast. Highly recommend Conchy Joe’s if you’re looking for seafood with a view, good drinks, and a true Florida experience. 🐠🌊 #JensenBeachEats #ConchyJoes #FloridaSeafood #TreasureCoastLiving #WaterfrontDining #LocalFavorites #SupportLocal #HiddenGemsFL
One of the best tiki type restaurant venues I have been to on the mainland. I ordered the seafood feast and devoured it. Their spicy margarita was good. Pricing is reasonable and the water views are excellent.
New to the area and was looking for a cool spot to stop for a snack and maybe a drink. Arrived around 345 and it was packed. Got a table by the water which was so nice! Shared the clam chowder and the seafood Mac n cheese and they were both outstanding!! Not lacking any flavor here. With 4 different bar areas and tons of outside seating. We will just definitely be back here.
All jokes aside, I have explored every corner of this town and the neighboring ones, and Conchy Joe’s - by far - has the best live music and atmosphere. We moved here from Nashville and its bartenders like Brian, the weekly changing specials, and the vibe that feels like home that keeps us coming back at least twice a week!! I absolutely recommend this as your next favorite place to forget the stress of your week. Tell my favorite bartender we sent you.
The view and atmosphere was incredible! I could go there for ice tea and the water and be happy. The Conch Fritters had a little zest to them, but seemed light on the Conch. The Cuban sandwich was decent. The tropical salad was covered in canned fruits. But did I mention the view and ambiance?!
I am not a pumpkin spice person not the bread that they serve was pretty tasteful. I ordered the Medley sea food, it was good. Mussels were little, but oyster were small too but fresh, shrimp had a good size and fresh too and the fish dip was tasty. My husband ordered the conch ceviche but wasn’t my favorite, too sweet to my taste. The server was very nice. I definitely will come back for Sunday brunch, I love the atmosphere of this please close to the water.
Great atmosphere, sits right on the Indian River. Live music and lots of food choices. Wait staff very kind and friendly. Highly recommend.
Very cool place right on the water! We went on a Friday night after seeing a movie in Port St. Lucie! We knew as soon as we pulled up there was probably a long wait and we were right, we were told 1 hour or longer for 2 of us. But we’re told if we could find a seat at one of their bars that we could get served the full menu at any bar. We lucked into 2 seats at a bar right away and ended up being served by 2 awesome bartender’s! They were fun and very attentive and personable. I started with a Spicy Pineapple Margarita, it was so good! We ate a lot of popcorn at the movie so my husband and I split a fish dip appetizer and a yellow snapper blackened fish sandwich with fries. The app came out fast and then our sandwich was perfectly timed after our app. Both were delicious. The only reason I’m giving the food a 4 is I felt the price for a fish sandwich was a little high and not to be picky, but the French fries were not fresh out of the fryer and for the price of a sandwich & fries, we would have liked hot fresh fries! The sandwich was very good! Great atmosphere throughout this big place. We sat at the end of the bar where the wait staff picked up there drinks and they all were friendly and seemed to love their jobs, they were bantering back and forth with each other and having fun while still hustling around!
Great chill atmosphere. They occasionally have live music with great band. Large clean place, they just extended the area with a large bar area that overlooks the inter-costal water and boats. Went during happy hour, so didn't get any entrees, only appetizers and drinks which were good. Great place to chill, eat, and hear good music. Our waiter Marcus was a great server.
Sat at the bar at first…. The bar was great as well as the service spent over $100 at the bar and then I cashed out and went to sit outside by the water so was a terrible mistake the worst service out by the water no one ever came waited thirty minutes before I went inside to get the manager shortly a waiter came out got our order never saw him again. Food came out no extra plates, napkins or silverware. Every time I needed something I had to pretty much go inside to find a manager.
Very cool touristy spot on the Intracoastal. Crab races Wednesday nights which looks like fun. Live music out in the "tiki" area which was FANTASTIC last night. So many rooms and bars and plenty of parking across the street. Conch fritters good. Bar service was efficient--just not real friendly. A bit pricey $5.25 for a 12 ounce Coors and $8 + for a well drink. Still a cool place to go once or for music.
The atmosphere was fantastic, we were seated at a great table overlooking the water. The music was wonderful with a great live band. The food was very good, we had the fish tacos, which were recommended by the server. We were disappointed that the meal was brought out by the kitchen staff and the waitress disappeared until it was time for the check. Our drinks were empty and no ketchup was brought for our fries, disappointing…a simple swing by from the staff to see if the food was ok seems like a basic necessity. Anyway, if you are looking for great atmosphere, stop by.
We've been going here for years. The place has changed a lot in the last few years though. It feels like they expanded too fast and in doing so lost grip on what made Conchy's what it is/was: a relaxed, jensen vibe place, with awesome food & friendly service. Now it feels like the place is trying to be fancy... in Jensen. Bruh. People come to Jensen for a low key, laid back experience. The over expansion made the place feel less cozy. The plates and portions are now much smaller, at least half the size as before, but prices remain high. The food quality is still great at least, and the views. It used to be a place for families, married folks and friends... now I see people here on date nights? lol. We felt it wasn't worth it as a regular and fun family spot anymore. Hope to see some readjustments or someone else open up another true Conchy's.
The atmosphere and location is great. My family and I tried the Shrimps Stack, Seafood Trinidad, the Fried Shrimps, and the kids Chicken Dinner. The kids enjoyed the chicken with fries. I expected the fried shrimps to be exceptional; however, even thought it was one of the best Fried Shrimps around the area, they did not have any distinct flavor other than the taste of salt. I recommend less salt to allow the taste of the spices to come out. The Seafood Trinidad was okay; a 6 out of 10.
Food wasn't great, I was expecting better. Cold mashed potatoes. Soup was OK but for the price everything should have been better. Gator bites were a bit chewy, maybe that's normal. Key lime pie was OK. Food wasn't good enough to warrant bringing home leftovers.
I love live music and they have. Unfortunately the salad menu is so basic. $16 cost me the salad and it was just a waste of money. I recommend this place more for drinks and the view . I don’t find the menu good. I’m sorry Also the parking is not so friendly
This restaurant has a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere, but after our second visit, we still haven’t fallen in love with the food. While the presentation is nice, the prices are quite high for the quality of the dishes. I wouldn’t say it was a bad experience, but it wasn’t memorable enough to make me want to return. However, I would still recommend trying it at least once.
Went on a weekday date last night, love the location. We sat outside with a view it was beautiful. They also had live music. I just really didnt like my food. I got the smothered chicken with mash potatoes. It looked like they put about a pound of cheese on then and like 3 cups of mushrooms. The only thing i ate was the chicken and had to basically scrape off the mash potatoes from the cheese. My husband had a beer which was not very cold it was kind warm. His soup think it was a conch soup it was good. His food was a little salty but better than mine. But the service was great. If i go again it will be more for the view and will have to try something else.
Food good except for the potato skins were a chunk of hard potato. Seafood risotto, clam chowder, corn bread yum. Sat band stopped at 4p no music till 8p next band, way too long quiet in between. Great view nice outside. Hot as hell inside old fashioned some not working fans. Male waiter horrible grumpy and past times they don't clear the table. Plates empty glasses piled up. Then we moved to a high top and had a lady waitress so nice smiled came over many times what a difference! Managers walk around don't clear tables or interact with customers.
Sharing my experience, and my parties experience at Conchy Joe’s. Came to visit for my first time, this place was recommended by locals. We were a party of 5 - one of our members had a walker. A bit of accessibility issues and no clear guidance on where to go to be seated. It took a long time to be seated despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Now the important part - the food. My party - who are locals - really did not enjoy their food. They all agreed it had gone down hill. One of my members was excited for his usual “World Famous” sliders …. he left the plate full — he said they definitely were not world famous. Everyone got Clam Chowder’s and everyone was very disappointed with the taste. They all agreed that the food quality had gone downhill immensely. For my own experience , there were not nearly as many gluten free options for appetizers. I ended up getting a salad and a baked potato. The baked potato was burnt - difficult thing to mess up but yes it was messed up. Clams did not taste fresh, had a weird taste to them.
The atmosphere is amazing. Really hard to beat. Right on the water, cool tiki type vibe. We tried to make reservations for Sunday night, we were told they were full. So we reserved Monday night. We arrived and still had to wait for a table, which was weird because the restaurant was no where near full. I'd guess at ~65% full. We got our table, the waiter (Landon) was extremely friendly and nice. Took all of our orders and left. It took 45 minutes to get our soups and not all at once. We had a large table and only got one order of bread for the table that was gone real quick. We had to ask for a second basket multiple times. Then another 20+ minutes for the first of our meals to come out. They forgot my son's Po-Boy all together, they did comp it, so they made it right. However, still needs to be mentioned. The food itself was good, not great. Especially for the price. A Fish sandwich at $26 and my wife had the Mediterranean Snapper at $38. It took so long to get the food we were all really hungy by then, so of course we thought the food was good. My fish sandwich seemed really heavy on the bun compared to the amount of fish. I had to ask a 4th time for a place setting because when my food arrived, I still did not have a fork, knife or a napkin. Some of this was on Landon, but the arrival of the food was not. I can only imagine how slow it would have been on Sunday night when they were 'full'.
This is my 2nd time trying this place out, and unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back. The first time was right after they reopened. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is always good, but the food is just not it 😭. The first time my risotto was soooo dry and the 2 other people I was with didn’t like their food either. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they just reopened. But we just went back again yesterday and it was again not good sadly. It’s also extremely expensive for the quality of food. Like this shrimp and fries cost $28(!!!!) I’m from the Florida Keys so I’m familiar with tourist pricing but there isn’t even a restaurant down there that would sell this for that price, especially not with being so bland. Also they have 3 bars (I think) but lack bar food. We wanted to go get some drinks and apps but they only have 6 apps and other than the conch fritters they don’t really have any good apps to share/eat at the bar.
Based on the location and the business, I would like they'd put a little more effort into food, service, and their drinks. Music online was 3 to 5pm Saturday but the band ended at 430. Great view but the whole TIKI isn't available for happy hour, just one side. The patron margaritas were very sweet (all 3 of us thought so). The apps were ordered and one server who wasn't ours asked if we ordered conch 8 or 12 amount and I said 12 even though she didn't seem to believe me but that took about 15 minutes from when we ordered it. The only thing is our fish dip and gator bites didn't come out at the same time. Those came out 25 minutes later with another conch fritter order. So 40 minutes for appetizers. The conch fritters barely had conch inside them. Dissapointing to say the least. Service is slow and some staff seems very confused. Wasn't a very good 1st experience. The only way they can be still in business is because of the water views. We didn't even want to order entrees after that. (The fish dip and gator bites were half way eaten when photo was taken)
We have been going to Conchy Joes for more than 20 yrs. This year(2026) we have been to the restaurant 3different times. Each time our experience has gotten worse. The newly renovated and enlarged restaurant has a great atmosphere. But, when the expansion was made they failed to expand the kitchen. This small kitchen can’t keep up with the number of visitors. We waited for our food for well past an hour. For that reason we will have a tough time going back. We will miss the history and tradition that Conchy Joe’s use to represent.
Two of us ordered the yellow snapper; one fried the other broiled. Our third did the seafood Mac n cheese. The broiled snapper was flavorless, small for the price and unseasoned. The fried snapper was dry and overcooked. The Mac n cheese was good but not great. I’ve been here a number of times for happy hour food and brought guests from out of town for dinner for a good quality seafood dinner and was embarrassed for making the choice. Great location but won’t go back for food. Overpriced as well. Much better quality in Ft Pierce. P. S. Waiter was well trained attentive and understanding.
We came here the first time. Wanted to try it as it's down the road. Great atmosphere and live music. We arrived about at 3.15 pm we were asked by the hostess if we like happy hour and if so grab a high top by the bar which we did. We received our drinks in a decent amount of time and delish cornbread. ..... No silverware to put the butter on. The waitress handed us the menu and we order sweet potat crusted salmon which was good at bit overcooked for my taste. We also ordered calamari which tasted ok.we also order their famous dip which we think tasted sour. Dried out and old. ( We returned that ) BTW we still didn't have silverware so we had to ask a foodrunner for it. A neighboring table told us about the happy hour menu with much cheaper items as the regular menu and we could have ordered from that if the waitress would have given us the menu However instead of the dip we returned we ordered the spinach dip which was not great either. All in all atmosphere was great. The rest not so much. We will return but only for the music and a few drinks definitely not for the food
We waited almost 2 hours to be seated. Until we got the manager and he was able to assist us. It took an hour to get drinks when we finally got our appetizers. They were cold. Had to send them back three times which then took them another 20 minutes to bring it back. We didn’t end up eating dinner until 9 o’clock. Remind you we were there at 5:45. The soup was cold my salmon was cold. The hamburger had to go back three times. The cheese wasn’t even melted. The manager was very helpful and that was the only thing that was good about that as we had three small children. Very disappointed in the service barely got two drinks because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Had to go to the bar to ask for drinks. They definitely need a new chef. Unfortunately the food was horrible. I hope they do better. The atmosphere was pretty good with the music that is what gave us the excitement to stay, but we already valid our car and we had the kids so already waiting almost 2 hours. We finally got seated if we didn’t, we would’ve left and went down the road to Mulligan‘s
The wait staff was friendly. The location is nice, but our experience with the food, awful. Shrimp over cooked, salmon overcooked. The hamburger was a patty of burnt shoe leather. We had a professional chef in our party and he refused to order anything from the menu. The manager rolled her eyes at my sister also. Wouldn't recommend!
