The food was delicious. It's true that some portions were a bit small, but the flavor was incredible, as always. We liked the meat and fish platters the most; one for two people can easily feed three. The service was excellent, very fast. And the bar was very pretty, very medieval. Best to make a reservation.

I've been there several times. I always order a mixed platter. I think I'll order the fish platter next time. The portions seem large, but you end up eating everything. It's one of my favorite restaurants.

As soon as we arrived in La Bañeza, we asked where we could eat, and a waitress recommended it. We had bad luck with the opening hours for several reasons, but we finally managed to find it open. The place is in a cave-like basement, and the interior is decorated with brick and medieval decor. We were struck by the blue tablecloths, which gave it a unique touch. The service is perfect; the waiters are very attentive and very professional despite their youth. As for the food, they have a wide variety of high-quality starters. We ordered an octopus dish and were impressed by the diameter of the legs, the exquisite preparation, and the exquisite flavor. We also looked at the starters being served at the tables next to us, and they all looked wonderful. For main courses, they specialize in platters, both with meat and fish, or mixed dishes. The quantity and quality are more than adequate. For dessert, we chose cheesecake and a coffee fan, which surprised us, as it was a different kind of cake, even different from what I'm used to. It was delicious, and the flan was very similar to one I make myself. A place I'll definitely return to if I'm nearby. I definitely recommend this place.

El lugar te encanta ya descendiendo el primer escalón. La decoración muy lograda. Dotando al restaurante de un ambiente agradable que invita a repetir y a dejar disfrutar. Comida y servicio de 10. Platos ricos, bien presentados y con un sabor que se queda en las papilas gustativas. Destacar la rapidez de cocina. Tuvieron la amabilidad de cortar el solomillo por la mitad para así poder hacernos el punto de la carne teniendo en cuenta los diferentes gustos, y que viniese ya preparada para comer desde cocina.

Una buena experiencia en la Bañeza. Local agradable y vien ambientado. Buen producto

A very beautiful spot with a cool, easy access. The passage is through a narrow passageway between the rocks. The restaurant has medieval decor. The set menu is reasonably priced at €13 and the portions are generous. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely return next time we're in the area. We didn't try the à la carte menu, but I'm sure it's delicious.

After having lunch here today I cannot help recommending this place. The quality of the food, the medieval atmosphere and friendliness of the waiters is top notch. We had the meat "tabla" which was fantastic, a bit pricey but very generous (skipping breakfast might be a good idea). We also tried the coffee flan and that's a must.

Food was good, the service was good, the tables a bit close together and it started to get warm as the restaurant filled up at lunchtime. The Calamari and Gambas were very nice. The sharing platters looked very good, a shame we didn't try them. Quirky decor and a nice setting, overall would recommend.

Situado en la calle la Vega, al lado de la rotonda plaza Antonio Colinas. Acceso adaptado para sillas de ruedas. • Entrada hacia un sótano, con escaleras y pasillo hasta el comedor con decoración medieval. Tiene dos plantas: - Planta baja: varios rincones con mesas y barra de bar con taburetes, también mesas altas con taburetes en la zona de paso. Paredes con decoración medieval. - Planta superior: varias mesas,barra de bar y vistas al comedor de la planta baja. Paredes decoradas con fotos antiguas y vidrieras. • Servicio de camareros deficiente: reservado con una semana de antelación, no figuraba dicha reserva. Después de disculparse preparan una mesa ( cuando queda libre de otros clientes). Nos atienden dos camareras. La primera coloca dos cartas en la mesa y se va. Vista la carta le preguntamos si no había menú del día. Viene la segunda camarera y nos explica que si tienen menú pero que lo ofrecen si el cliente lo solicita. • Comida: - Almejas Moja el Gallo, bien cocinadas. - Tabla Pareja, muy mejorable. Carne dura y seca, sólo se podía comer el pollo. Pescado: gambón crudo, sepia salada, calamares correoso, sólo se salvaba el salmón. - Postres normalitos. * Es un lugar acogedor y original, pero la comida y el servicio no están a la altura del local.

The place is nice, with a great atmosphere, but it's hot upstairs in August. The Palomares Prieto Picudo Joven wine is very good. We didn't really like the "parra" platter. There were a lot of potatoes and the meat was a bit tough. The €42 price tag is nowhere to be seen. We'll try the menu again to see what it's like.

The place is nice, but the portions are small for the price. They ask you how you want your meat cooked and bring it however they see fit. You can't have a glass of wine; you have to order the whole bottle. The service could be much better. All of this makes for a less than ideal experience.
