Lidia's Restaurant

We had a lovely dinner at Lidia’s last night & it did not disappoint. If you’ve never been, you must try it, with the understanding it is Northern Italian food. Last night we had the three course dinner with Caesar salad, the pasta tasting trio & dessert. The trio changes daily & always offers a variety of three different pastas that are AMAZING. You can refill any you would like more of. I love they also use fresh, seasonal & local ingredients when possible. The atmosphere is nice & our service was impeccable. Already looking forward to my next meal at Lidia’s!

We ate here for our anniversary and it was amazing! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and size of plates. My boyfriend got the brasato and I got the pasta trio. Everything was great, the gnocchi pasta was my favorite

Visited specifically for the lasagna. However, the photo I saw was from years ago and then no longer had it on the menu. While I was disappointed, I didn't let that stop me from enjoying another dish. My husband and I shared a nice light salad with fresh bread with a spread that included olive ingredients & oil. I don't care for olives but really couldn't taste in the spread. I decided on the manicotti and so happy I did it was full of cheese and plenty of flavor. My husband got the chicken breast mentioned it was a little dry and needed more flavor. Oh, I forgot to mention the meatballs we had for appetizers it's a must try! Noticed people at the bar ordering the special. Looks great pasta is made to order they deliver the past from the pan to you plate, how cool! Parking is a little tough when parking in the lot they charge $20, but if you show the receipt while leaving, it's free. Definitely recommend reservations, but if you're willing to dine at the bar, it's easier to get in. We got right in on a Friday night. I would visit again!

We had our Thanksgiving lunch here. They had some nice options. I got the turkey and my wife got the pork.

We attended a 3 course event on the upper floor. Ambiance great! Food, perfectly cooked and delightly presented. The staff is the real draw. Our server was on-point. Conversational, clearly active listening to our questions and needs, and so much fun. I'll bring my family here next time we visit KC!

I highly recommend this restaurant! The food was all good and most of the pasta is freshly made. The desserts are also delicious and the whole restaurant is very beautiful inside and outside. The reason I deduct 1 star is because the servers who served our pasta table side were not very careful. Sauce went everywhere and it stained my husband's white shirt. Also the same tableside pasta came when I was still enjoying my salad and instead of coming back to us they took away my salad to serve our entree. Other than that, it was an enjoyable dinner.

A great Italian restaurant in the heart of Kc. My wife and I decided to try this place last night., and it was good. The atmosphere is nice my only gripe is that the tables are very close together , so you can hear everyone’s convo like you’re at the table with them. Our server Anna was great, she was knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions. The food, we started with the appetizer “ARANCINI” 8/10 good flavor with the white sauce. My wife got the “Brasato” and wow, it’s a Boneless Beef Short Rib, Braised in Red Wine with Garlic Mashed Potatoes the meat was perfect , tender and had so much flavor. I got the “Lidia's Pasta Tasting Trio” it’s an unlimited sample of three pastas that are changed daily. Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed. The sauces lacked flavor and the noodles were hard. The manhattan was great and the dessert was amazing. Overall I’d recommend.

We didn't have to wait for seating so that was a great start! Our server was kind enough to explain foods that we didn't recognize. We were served in courses, not getting the next course until we were ready. We never felt hurried, which was nice because we were there to say goodbye to a friend who is relocating. The food was good, not great. The atmosphere is nice, but noisy. The decor is lovely.

I got the lamb dish, while my husband got the pasta. The lamb was overcooked and only had 3 tiny medallions. A small amount of parsnip mash and a few poached apricots. It was not great. On the other hand, the pasta (according to my husband) was outstanding. We will go back and I'll try the gluten free pasta. Hopefully that's better and actually has some food. I was not overly impressed by what I got.

This was our first visit and we chose Lidia to be our early Valentines day. And generally speaking, it was a good experience but a few things really made a bad first impression. We booked through open table and got the reservation through an alert. Our reservation was at 545pm. We arrived on time but they seat us right by the bar, near where the waiter puts in their order and the door to the kitchen. There was a lot of traffic around us and really disappointingas i thought this was going to be a nice quiet date night spot. We asked for a seat more to the inside because there were an abundance of open seats in the middle but was told they were unavailable. Peter, our waiter was very courteous but many times we couldn't hear him because of the noise. I want to say the food was great but it's hard to do that when you feel like you're surrounded by people while you are eating. At a fancy $25-$40 place nonetheless. So unfortunately it's a 3 star for me. Very disappointing for a restaurant that everyone told us was good.
