Having gone here multiple times, the food always hits. Almost every dish is great, you can’t really go wrong with any of them. I highly recommend their black truffle fried rice, crispy fried squid/calamari, and shrimp chow fun with egg sauce!! Service is great, definitely a must try in Katy Asian Town.

Wow, this takeout hit all the right spots overall! The spicy crispy chicken was incredible – golden, super crunchy pieces loaded with tons of dried red chilies, fresh green onions, jalapeños, and that perfect Sichuan mala numbing kick. It’s savory, spicy, and has the classic bold flavor without being overwhelming. Generous portion too – I loved how chili-heavy it was! The wontons were plump and juicy, swimming in fragrant chili oil and topped with sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and scallions – the sauce is so addictive I couldn’t stop. I also tried the shrimp with crispy rice – the crispy rice base was amazing, with that perfect crunchy texture and great sauce flavor. However, there were very few shrimp in it. For the price, I think they could add a few more pieces to make it feel more substantial. Everything arrived hot, well-packaged, and the bold flavors really delivered that authentic Chinese takeout vibe. Solid spot for spicy food lovers – just a note on the shrimp dish for next time. Still giving it high marks and I’ll order again!”

First time caller, and have only tried the food when they we located on Bellaire!! Service was okay, but the food quality is definitely too tier in all of Houston and Katy area for Hong Kong cuisine!! We ordered fish maw soup, pekking duck two ways, sizzling black pepper steak, chili won tons, habor style lobster, mixed salt and pepper seafood and beef with string beans We were able to get a room for my engagement party, it was a great experience to celebrate or just to come eat as a group!!

The best wonton noodles in Houston ( so far). Roast duck was fantastic. Even the plum sauce was authentic. Pan fried noodles infused with goo wok hei. 5 stars for food And 4 stars is outstanding for decor

The food was delicious. I really like how as soon as a dish was ready it was brought out. Everything was hot and fresh. Every server is there to help you ensuring that you don't have to wait long for anything. The decor is authentic and tasteful adding to the overall experience.

Stellar experience at HK Food Street! Worth the hype, the drive and the wait. My only complaint is that the line out front is not really the wait list there is a computer kiosk inside where you place your name on the waiting list for a table if you don't have a reservation. I didn't see a sign to say so but also didn't specifically look for one. FOOD: stellar and well thought out with so many options per section we happily over ordered. Will say the Cabbage is not to be overlooked... From the first bite of the first dish to the last bite have no issues or complaints with the food. Even though we were two we ordered enough for 4ppl. Want to go back with more people so we can order more. The experience was so good am slightly jealous of those that live close and can go here anytime they want without the 30-40min drive we had. + They allow BYOB!

My family loves the food here. My father is Cantonese and used to be a restaurateur and if he approves of the food here, you know this is good. Whenever my parents come visit me in Houston, they always stop by HKFS for dinner to go. I recommend this place to everyone I meet.

Hong Kong Food Street offers a delightful surprise for our culinary adventure. The dishes we enjoyed were excellent in both quality and flavor. We had congee with fish and century eggs, beef chow fun, black truffle fried rice, roasted duck, XO wok-fried seafood, Pi Pa tofu, and spicy green beans with minced beef. The congee brought back many memories, as I hadn't had it since I was young. All the dishes arrived quickly after we ordered. The only exception was when our server told us that the roasted duck would take about 40 minutes more to prepare because it was being roasted, and asked if we wanted to choose something else. We decided to stick with the roasted duck since we had time to enjoy the other dishes. The service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant features a uniquely Chinese decor that other Houston Chinese restaurants lack. We will go back to explore different dishes.

Great food, Great service. We had 3 people and ordered 4 dishes. It came out to a total of $88 + tips. The Food: every one of the dishes was above expectation. The congee was full of seafood ingredients. The Pekin duck was juicy and tender. The pork intestines and XO noodles were flavor bombs. Overall, I think the food quality is worth the price point. The service: the servers were kind enough to merge a second table with ours so we could have more space. They also did not rush us to finish our food and leave like some other restaurants would. I am happy with the service overall.

This restaurant is amazing! 🤩 The place is clean and feel sweet. The owner and employees work hard , polite. You will like theirs tea , it’s local habit. High recommend Beijing Bbq duck set. They are the best one I had since I move to Houston 9 years. I am very picky person. Three time visited this location in Katy. Incredible, right 😂👍 Happy Valentine’s Day ! 💝

Hong Kong Food Street was in Bellaire years ago. They reopened in Katy now and are better than before. The atmosphere of this restaurant is really good and bright. The Peking duck is really crispy and tasty. The fish is well-flavored, but for $48, it is a little small, in my opinion. The vegetables and the wood ear beef pot are also recommended. The portions are decent, and I would like to try different dishes next time.

A great addition to the Katy Cantonese food scene. Extensive menu, noodles, congees, as well as seafood delicacy (sea cucumber, abalone) and Peking duck. Went for its wonton noodle - like the bouncy shrimp in its wonton noodle. Trendy ambience. Three private rooms that can be combined to host 30 guests. P.S. ask for less ice when ordering milk tea for a richer flavor; and add red vinegar to elevate its wonton noodle broth. Friendly staffs. Fast services.

This is my first time visiting here, they got delicious Hong Kong food in Katy. One I like the most is the duck meat ,crispy and the quality are very good, the environment are also clean and brand new, which really make a good impression. However I will say the fried rice is a bit bland, probably can add more flavor in it. Overall is a very good Hong Kong restaurant to visit and I will be back soon !

We been here several times since it was opened til now. Their services and quality has been well maintained. The food was all good and fresh; the portions are great for family meal. This is our go to for Chinese family meals style. The restaurant always busy, but we always get serve quickly. The staff are nice and polite.

First-timer to this restaurant. Good food. Spicy and distinct. Portion size is decent/good. Service is a bit inattentive. We liked the Cumin Beef, Chili oil poached fish and the Black Char Siu. An alternative to Mala, for us at least.

The sea bass was easily the best dish here. I didn't think the kung pao chicken had the most flavor, but it did taste good the next day

The Green beans and eggplant beef cubes are good but the spicy fish is a bit salty. Overall the food is still good, but not as good as it used to be in Chinatown.

The great dishes were fish congee honey walnut shrimp and the beef crispy noodles. The salt pepper seafood mix of cod shrimp and squid was OK. The eggplant was not good compared to other restaurants. Portions were not on par with price. We would still recommend this restaurant.

A group of 6 of us stopped by late Saturday night on a whim (we were starving). We were seated within 5 min. Wasn't too busy. Service was great. It was our first time here but our servers was awesome. Gave us recommendations of different foods. Food came out fast and hot! Overall, tasty, not greasy. The crispy squid could have used more flavor but it was still good. The sizzling egg tofu with eggplant and shrimp was yummy! Highly recommend. Chow fun is a staple. The eggplant and greenbeans were good. The steamed fish was also good but there were some parts that were a bit chewy. Might try the wok fried one next time.

Overall - high quality ingredients and well cooked dishes. Ordered: 1. Fish sauce chicken- Perfect meat to bone ratio, juicy chicken with flavor packed gelatinous collagen. Served cold with a sauce 2. Minced beef cilantro soup- Comforting cilantro forward soup with tofu and egg, thick in texture 3. Beef chow fun- Slightly lacking in flavor, average 4. Candied walnut shrimp- Your typical dish with large succulent shrimp 5. Salt and pepper crispy seafood- Lightly fried and crispy seafood, a kick from the chilis at the end 6. Japanese beef tip with eggplant - Very tender beef and savory eggplant

This restaurant recently relocated from Bellaire Chinatown to its new location. We first dined here for Thanksgiving dinner and later brought our friends along. The service has been consistently excellent, and the spacious dining area is comfortable. The Thanksgiving dinner set (pictured) was well thought out, offering a variety of flavorful dishes. Their Black Truffle Fried Rice took fried rice catagory to another level. The entrées were especially delicious. The marble-accented walls contribute to a clean and elegant atmosphere, though the acoustics make the space somewhat echoey. Overall, it’s a good dining experience here.

Found this place from a random Google search, decided to check it out because they have peking duck. A great decision to try it out. Food - the peking duck is amazing, crispy skin, tender duck meat, and the wraps you can tell were very soft and tasted freshly made. Each bite was great, the vegetables they provided to go with the wraps emphasize the meat that much more. The crispy duck skin just added the right crunch to the wrap. 5/5 food. Service - great, great service. From when I walked in the tables were packed and I had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table but once seated the wait staff was great, made sure my questions were answered, my order taken correctly, and my water glass remained full the entire time there. 5/5 service. Atmosphere - even though the entire restaurant was packed and remained packed even in the late hours of the evening the ambience felt still warm and welcoming. Bathrooms were very cleaned, floors clean, walls and ceilings cleaned (most restaurants don't even both checking those), tables were cleaned off quickly after a customer left so you aren't sitting next to empty dirty plates for long. 4/5 ambience and atmosphere.

We had mixed experiences. The eggplant with green beans and spicy chicken were just okay. Portions felt small for the price, and nothing stood out. Service was fair, but the atmosphere was a highlight.

Food price is high with the portion. Half duck $36 with fewer meat and fewer slice cucumbers. It comes with Fried duck bone is disgusting and not eatable with grease oil and flour. I would prefer duck bone soup. The most ridiculous pricing is hot tea $3 per order But they serve tea pot with one cup. If you have 6 people and want to have tea for all. It will be $18 with 6cups and one tea pot. I have never seen such strange pricing compare to other Chinese restaurants. Overall, it is pricy with smaller portions. Owner try to cut corners to make more profit. If you want Cantonese restaurant, go to Chinatown.
