Wing Monday is amazing, curly fires hits the right spot. Just don't know if they are worth the $8 with the portion I received the first time. Amazing drinks. And the staff is amazingly friendly. A few things can be worked on and I wish Karaoke had more selections for west Indians/ Caribbean people.

We came for an early dinner at around 5:30 on a Saturday. The place was mostly empty and playing modern Top 40 Hits. The staff was immediately attentive and thoughtful throughout the entire meal. Between us, we had there wings, sliders and cheese fries. All was very good.

We were there on a Thursday afternoon and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. The bartender was very attentive so our beers were never empty. She was also very warm and inviting. The wings were delicious! Will come back and recommend to friends any family.

Came from a long bus trip to and wanted something quick and different. I ordered the baja tacos which were thee bomb. So good I was eating the fallen toppings with my fingers. Which brings me to a point a star was taken off for service because they gave me no utensils for carry out dining. I also ordered the Buffalo wrap with fries and this did not disappoint as well. I couldn't believe that I've lived in the area for 10 years and never tried their food. Too bad for me, they have the food down pact. My only other critique is my order came with french fries but no ketchup or salt n pepper packets and no fork. Otherwise food took 10 minutes to make and I would highly recommend.

Came here with my friend for lunch on my final day in NYC on 9/7/21. We were welcomed by a lovely woman who was our server, I ordered the sangria which was wonderful and we both had water with lime. Now to the food, I had the JFK Burger which was prepared with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy fried onions and a flavorful bbq sauce, on a brioche bun w/ crispy fries, I enjoyed it as it was a juicy burger and my friend had the chicken quesadilla which he loved. I definitely will return to Hangar 11 Burgers & Brews, Highly recommended!

So I always drive by this place and never actually went in until last week. I was greeted by Nidia at the bar and she made me feel like a regular. Full of life and energy and made my drink exactly how I asked for it. Food was great too and the music was on point ! Def going back if it’s the same girl behind the bar !

Someone recommended this place to my brother and we wanted to try it out… we LOVED it. The food had a very reasonable pricing, not pricy at all and it was very good. The service was amazing, the servers would come every 10-15 minutes and ask us if we needed anything and that’s something we really liked. This is my second time visiting Hangar 11 and first of, the service is amazing. The staff is so kind and quick with taking our orders. They are quick to refill water and drinks. Now let’s talk about the food! Babyyyy the food is soooo good and fresh. The food is nice and hot just like I like it. The first time I had the shrimp tostadas and my friend had the tostones with chicharrón de pollo and everything was fresh and amazing. Second time I visited I didn’t take pictures of my food but I got the mango habanero wings with cheese fries and OH MY it was so good. Also had the plane sliders which is basically just two small cheeseburgers. The meat did not taste frozen and was so delicious. We also ordered passion fruit margaritas and they were so yummy. Our waitress was so sweet and always checked on us ( I didnt get her name but she worked January 4th, 2025 at night). Her service was great. Thank you for your service and great vibe as well. Will definitely be a returning customer as I am walking distance away 💗

Great bar food! Banging shrimp tostadas have great flavor, very tasty mozzarella sticks and dat cheesesteak burger!! Beautifully cooked and seasoned— even the bun was lovely! (Come hungry if you order that, I don’t know how my friend managed to finish the whole thing!) I usually come here earlier in the evening when it’s pretty quiet. Servers are really nice too!

Nice establishment to grab a few drinks, several monitors/screens to watch games or fights in a safe neighborhood/environment. Patrons are respectable and easy going. Plenty of seating and a decent menu of affordable food.

Overall though, its a cozy spot with a cute theme. Since there are so many folks in aviation around, they should definitely consider a flight crew happy hour or discount day!

Music is on point! Love the variety of music. Drinks are good, food is good. The Hookah is different in not a good way. I’ve had their hookah 3x and all 3x I have thrown up and gotten me really sick. Would give it 6/7 stars if I could. 6 days a week it is great but avoid this place on Wednesday nights if you are looking for good service. Got charged 20% gratuity, meanwhile the 2 bartenders had their backs turned to us the whole time and didn't notice us for 10 minutes after we walked in. I gave the bartender my credit card, then she charges my card to another patron and hands it to him. How do you make that mistake unless you are not paying attention to your customers? Do yourself a favor and go here when the guy with the glasses is bartending. He is welcoming and even went the extra mile to give my dog water while we were seated outside :) Management should really take that 20% gratuity off the bill unless they hire people who deserve 20%; like that person who gave my dog water. You rock!

Had the birria tacos first and didn't quite like them. Tried the jalapeno burger and that saved the experience for me. The portion of fries is also a bit on the smaller side even though they are good. The drinks no longer come in the mason jars but in a small slender glass which did not feel right in terms of price for what you are getting. The bartender did make the rainbow drink in a bigger glass which made all the difference adding to the experience. There are also hookah options here which I did not try, but the staff are very receptive to any concerns and work on making sure the customer leaves happy.

Went here for date night and I was actually expecting something a little classier than it was. It’s just a bar and ambiance was a weird. I didn’t understand the “Hangar” gimmick with plane decorations. Food and service were awesome for us though so we’ll go back. Fish tacos were so good and my husbands burger was amazing! The two bar tenders were really friendly too which made for a more relaxed setting. So glad this place is on our way home!

You've been in a bunch of places like this. Giant horseshoe bar, standard taps with a couple of interesting craft brew options. Happy hour and brunch menus. Sports on a bunch of big, crisp screens. Music skews pop, hip hop, Latin. I got wings, which were great. I'd definitely go back if I were in the area for a quick bite and a beer.

July 2024 Edit: The food is always great but can't say the same for the service. However, the service was ON POINT Saturday evening, the 27th. The staff was attentive, and the food came out quick. Granted, the restaurant was very empty with only 2 people at the bar (including me) , but none the less, I was pleasantly surprised! Keep it up, Hangar! Has good music, food, and drinks but the staff there SUCKSSSSS. There's one bartender that's really good but other than him, they all need to be retrained on professionalism and how to be attentive. Thankfully I don't go often.

I liked the decor here. The name and some of the decor, which include planes, is most likely a reference to Kew Gardens, being home to many Airline workers. The happy hour prices are good. The Coconut Shrimp was 😋. The service was good. I wasn't a big fan of the music that was playing but I could deal with it. It was empty when I was there but the place had just opened a few minutes before I got there. Besides I don't mind it not being busy. I'm glad I checked the place out. I might or might not go back. The Coconut Shrimp might be worth another visit.

It's a great spot if you want cheap drinks and decent bar food. I went during karaoke on a tuesday, and the crew I came with plus the local regulars made it a good time. There were some talented singers in there. However, the cash-only option was an unpleasant surprise, so come prepared.

Went with friends to celebrate a birthday. Drinks were on point, music was good. Service was great, super friendly and attentive ppl. Unfortunately the low point of the night was seeing a mouse run across the floor. But overall the night was lit, good vibes.

The place has a good environment, great music. The tables with couches are a bit small and uncomfortable, because they put two tables together to make one large. The food is 3/5. They have good drinks and cocktails

The burgers are great - no doubt about that. Reasonably priced and brunch comes with a free drink which is a nice touch. The service was decent. Was hard to get their attention at times. As others have reported, the music is obnoxiously loud. We asked to have the music turned down twice and they said they lowered it which was simply not true. No one goes to brunch to yell across the table to each other.

I've walked past this place a couple times and always wondered why they weren't busy. Tonight, I gave them a shot. Here is my experience: Their taps tasted like they needed cleaned. Ordered a Sierra Nevada draft and it tasted bad...like old beer. Service was slow, especially for not being busy. I got the AUS Burger with sweet potato fries and cheese quesadillas. The food saved this place from a one star review. The food was five stars all the way. Food=awesome, service=mediocre, draft beer=horrible. Cheers

My first time being there. Great atmosphere and crowd. Staff very pleasant. There was two DJ the first DJ played music for the crowd. Variety which is always good. Second DJ played mostly Latino music. Made my friends and I very bored and we left. I feel like every DJ in a business must always play variety of music. Everyone choice is different. Your crowd should tell you that the music needs a little switching up.

Atmosphere was good. Went there for Cinco de mayo, so it was very busy. I ordered the chicken sandwich and curly fries. I enjoyed. Definitely would go back for the chicken sandwich.

They put an auto gratuity for 2 people at the bar. We did not drink that much, ate one appetizer, and spent about 30/45 minutes. I usually tip more. Really put off because it wasnt even mentioned. I would expect or look for it with a large group but to not even mention it? With two people? No other bar does this.

Came here on a Wednesday and paid 13$ for a tiny plastic bottle cap of Tito’s in an empty bar. Immediately left after that and went to Austin’s which had more people and where I only paid $37 for 4 shots of Tito’s and a Surfside.. not hating, just a suggestion on switching things up, because this bar used to be good and idk what happened

The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was friendly. Our food arrived promptly, which was appreciated. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired. We chose to sit outside, while the setting was nice, there were a lot of bugs, and the armrest on my chair was sticky. After wiping it down and seeing how dirty the napkin got, I felt uneasy touching anything else. Honestly, I couldn’t wait to finish eating and leave. As for the food…it was decent. The burgers weren’t true smash burgers as described, and the patties could’ve used more seasoning. The fries were clearly frozen, but still not bad. We also tried some tacos for Taco Tuesday, which were fine, though nothing memorable. The fish taco could’ve been anything and I wouldn’t have been able to tell you. Overall, the food tasted alright, but the lack of cleanliness made me question the kitchen’s condition. It’s the kind of place that’s fine if you’re grabbing drinks and want something to snack on, but not somewhere I’d go just for the food. I probably won’t be returning.

Love the burgers. The atmosphere is chill most nights and this is the place to be if you like flight themed restaurants or are in the airline industry. However, after going here multiple times and ordering delivery multiple times, I will say I am ALWAYS underwhelmed with the service here. Most of the staff are apathetic or look like they hate their lives. Waitresses/females behind the bar (aren’t bartenders) are the worst, though the bartender usually try to make up for that. This place got my order wrong a couple of times from 3rd party delivery apps which is disappointing. This place is a staple to the community and one of the only “real” bars in the area without going into Manhattan so it won’t be going anywhere. But there are better options. EDIT 04/23/2020: Response to owner: This review was updated during quarantine but the review regarding service and smiling is reflected all year long. Don’t act like during quarantine makes a difference.

It's a local spot..it's good when they have drinks you want and sucks when you are told there's an event tonight so, the bartender is not doing these types of drinks...either your a bar or your not. Food is also something else at times you are provided with decent portions and other times it's like really? But keep in mind the costly prices will not be decreased...try it out for yourself go there when it's nice and quiet and order the Cuban sandwich for example and go on a Saturday night or busy night and see if you are asking where's the meatsss??

Coming to this the place was very different beautiful ambiance as far as the plane situation but the waitress had that very sluggish I don't want to be here attitude throughout the whole time. except for when she gave us the check and she was just staring at us waiting and patiently like she expected to get a good tip with that kind of people service. If she didn't want to be there she should have just went home.(this was on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm ish a bit slow so she has no excuse) this was the skinny dark skin chick with the red lipstick. Horrible customer service..maybe caught her ona bad day. ..train her again... The quesadillas were actually exceptionally very good but we also ordered the chicken tenders(they was whole chicken breast uncut) with the fries and a claim in this metal plate that reminded me of something out of a prison movie.( They should change the plating of that.) My date ordered a mojito and the leaves were Brown that means they were old disgusting.. I hope someone sees this and takes it as a good criticism to change it around because I do want to give this place another shot.

Let’s just say, I usually don’t write reviews. As I was here this last Saturday night, the first thing I noticed that every bartender was using the glass as ice scoops, just gross in so many ways lastly dangerous. If one of them glasses break during such. Ugh I love a somewhat strong drinks, but a 10 count pour 🤮.. literally one jack & coke and I was done. It’s literally a glass full of jack.. food was decent. A 20% tip Included on your check automatically, which usually decreases the staff from earning one your tip.

My friends & I came here on a Saturday night. We were told we had to pay a $15 fee to get in, which we paid. Upon seating we asked for water and did not receive it until 30 minutes into our dining experience. Once we started to order our food the waitress informed us that the restaurant & bar were not serving a majority of items that were on the menu. We ordered drinks and the waitress came back after 20 minutes to let us know that they actually did not have the drinks that we have ordered. After 40 minutes our food had finally came, however one of my friends had to wait an extra 25 minutes to get a cheese burger because her order was never placed with the kitchen. We also asked numerous of time for a manager to come over because we wanted to know if we could possibly get the entry fee refunded due to poor customer service and long wait times. We waited another 10-15 minutes for him to come. At this point, we will probably never return to this establishment. The drinks or the food is not worth the wait.

Haven't been here in a while and came back for a quick bite. The drinks are extremely watered down. My wife ordered shrimp tacos and I honestly couldn't describe what was on her plate if my life depended on it. I ordered pork tacos that I could hardly swallow due to them being so dry. The people across from us also ordered food and we heard them ask the server "what is this?".... a while back the food was decent , then got a little better after the new menu and then fell off dramatically to the point the place is just can be used to hear loud music.

Was doubled charge the night of the fight and this is not the first time. I understand mistakes happens but 3xs , 5th time coming here. I even had someone else’s drinks on my bill the first time I was here 🤦🏻‍♀️ but gave it the benefit of the doubt - come on now. Didn’t complain cause I grew up knowing the owners and one of theirs sons even looked at me that night. I liked how the bar was before. Haven’t been in the neighborhood in over 12 years. I guess it is what it is .

Went for Superbowl Sunday (2024). I called earlier during the day and asked about any fees or cover to enter the bar because of the event. I arrive and the hostess demands $20 pp to enter. No apology. Definitely a bait and switch since I called ahead. I don't like bars that lie about things like that, so won't be back.

Terrible place., customer service is so bad ! Takes forever to get an order in . Then they charged my card $200 a week later , scam , dirty, unprofessional & unorganized . I bartend fulltime in bars all over the city and this bar is by far the worst place I ever visited . I know what goes on behind closed doors since I actually bartend . They have $10 margaritas that are literally from the deli mixed with ice , disgusting . I can go on and on . There was only like 3 customers when I went in and it still took hours to get my food and drinks . The food is okay I won’t lie but the drinks and customer service is so bad . Also don’t get the tacos on Tuesday they are cheap for a reason.

I thought this place was cool until this past weekend we reserved a table two weeks in advance to watch the fight .without warning we get there they charged us 20 dollars to get in .sit us down and then tell us we have to pay 75 dollars per person .mind you it’s four of us they tried to get a 100 dollars out of each of us before we even ordered our food and drinks. wear your helmet going to this place they would beat you in your head ..

My friends & i came here for my birthday & the customer aero service was horrible. No one greeted us at the bar, no one left showed us a table when asked can we be seated outside. They guy at the bar was very loud & rude. We were asked for proof of vaccinations multiply times we decided to leave the establishment. This was my second time in this place. First time we were waited on by a very efficient and friendly young lady, sadly I don't remember her name (she has dark curly hair and green eyes and is athletic build). We had lunch there with 5 of my friend. We ate and drank until we could eat no more. Worth every penny even though food and drinks are a little lower than mediocre. Second time around totally different story. I had a question about the bill so I asked to speak to the manager. He approached us in a very UNapproachable way, I think his name is Joann. When I asked why they were charging extras (stuff we didn't consume) he became so defensive which I found very strange. He seemed super uptight and hyper and was just plain rude! He is not manager material. Needless to say my friends and I will NOT be coming back to this place and will be telling my story to anyone that would listen. I hate leaving negative reviews because just about all establishments can have a bad day. This review is based off numerous visits since Hangar is the closest sports bar to my residence. On Saturdays, the bartenders stare at their phones, they do not acknowledge you unless you interrupt them from their chronic texting. I almost wanted to film this, it's something to behold. During UFC fights, they play music. This is the only bar that shows UFC PPV fights that does NOT let you hear the fights. As a collective, they have the worst bartenders. I saw this not to be negative or bitter. I'm sure they can be good at their duties if they leave their phones alone for 5 minutes or so.

Ate there last night spent $95 on chicken quesadillas and two beers walked outside and instantly threw up. Could not even digest the food.. I believe the cheese was spoiled.. The person I dined with is sick today. So disappointing.

One of the worst bar experiences I've EVER had. We ordered 2 appetizers, Chicken wings & shrimp, with 2 drinks. When the bill came the total was $100!!! They included a mandatory 20% gratuity, but $100 for bar food is RIDICULOUS!!! This will be the first & last time going to this establishment. I feel like I got robbed without a gun.

Really poor customer service: I was one of 2 customers there, I went during happy hour and was told nothing about it. I ordered a beer on draft. At the time to pay I pointed out that draft beer’s are $4 during happy hour. She said not the product you ordered. The offer said “drafts” didn’t mention exclusions. Fine. Plus they charge 20% gratuity on the bill. First and last for me. On a second visit my perception was confirmed, with the place somewhat empty service is very poor and there’s a general “we don’t want you here” attitude from the staff. AVOID!

With service this poor, the mandatory 20% gratuity feels like theft. The drinks and food are expensive here, so you'd expect good service, but after we ordered dessert (which we later found out was literally just a frozen dessert! No preparation required!) we were left waiting for an hour. We had to get up and go to the waitress about it because she hadn't been keeping track as to if we got it. Ten minutes later we got dessert (not worth the wait :( ) and asked for the bill. After waiting five minutes and no bill we had to get up and go get that too. There is a mandatory 20% tip for service. I am unclear what service they are referring to. Never going here again.

My girlfriend and I ordered from Hangar 11 on Grubhub. The bag was sealed upon delivery, so the Grubhub driver did everything right. I ordered the business class chicken sandwich with no cheese. It came without the applewood bacon and without the avocado as well, so I received a piece of grilled chicken on bread with lettuce. We also ordered a chocolate cake that never came. We called the restaurant about the cake, and the person on the phone told us the chef assured us the cake was in the bag, so we needed to take it up with Grubhub. This restaurant has a lot of great options but very poor service. We will not be ordering from them again.

My girlfriend and I came here on New Year’s Eve just to have a drink and celebrateWe arrived at 10 and plan to leave before 11 to watch the ball drop with Family (we live 15 minutes walk away). We are not big drinkers. As soon as we walked in, the host told us we had to buy drink tickets. She gave us a few options, one was around $60 for champagne and a shot, plus others I honestly don’t remember because, again, we don’t drink like that. We told her that we don’t do shots and just wanted two margaritas. She then sold us 2 - $20 tickets and specifically said it would cover a margarita and a shot, we thought cool. We took the tickets and found a spot near the bar. When we ordered two margaritas, the bartender immediately said the tickets were for shots only. Told him what the host told us. He flat out said no, shots only. I went back to the host and told her what he said. She told me she’d talk to him. They spoke, and nothing changed. I went back again, same answer. At that point, I noticed the bartender talking to an older man who seemed like a manager since he was interacting with staff and the host. I’m pretty sure they were talking about us. After being told “shot only” for the third time, I asked the host for a refund because we don’t drink shots and were clearly misled. She said she’d talk to him again. While I’m standing there, the bartender walks over and starts speaking to her in Spanish. This is a Spanish bar, and I don’t speak Spanish, but his tone was clearly disrespectful. He kept looking at me, then back at her, going back and forth for almost a minute. During this interaction, he shined a small flashlight directly in my face. It felt intimidating and unnecessary like he was trying to make me uncomfortable or signal that I should leave. For context, my girlfriend and I were the only two Black people there. If buying a bottle was required, that’s fine let us know. Don’t give me the option to buy margaritas, take my money, then switch up and treat me like I’m the problem. The way this was handled felt disrespectful and discriminatory. Between the mixed messaging, being talked about in another language, and the intimidation, the entire experience was uncomfortable. I will never come back here. If you’re Black and thinking about coming, be aware of how you might be treated. And honestly, brush up on your Spanish because I’m pretty sure they don’t speak kindly about everyone.
