The food was delicious and the Customer Service was recovered very well by the manager Teresa. The lady that brought us our food wasn’t the nicest, but people have their days and moments. Everyone is human, I just really appreciate how it was handled! Thanks!

Sonic Drive-In Review – 3 Stars (and a side of existential onion-ring grief) The food? Solid. Burgers hot, cherry limeade still slaps like it did in 2003. Service? Polite, lightning-fast, and the carhop didn’t even judge me for ordering at 10:07 a.m. like a champion of poor life choices. BUT HERE’S WHERE WE HAVE A PROBLEM, HOUSTON (again… for the fifth damn time). This location is in an abusive relationship with the word “large.” I’m 56. I’ve been riding or dying with Sonic onion rings since the Reagan administration. I was a carhop in ’86 when a large actually meant a glorious, greasy avalanche (12–14 rings, easy). Today? Fifth visit, same crime: I ask for a large with my combo and they hand me… six. SIX. Every. Single. Time. I’ve counted them like a heartbroken mathematician on five separate occasions. I’ve shaken the bag like a maraca. I’ve stared into the empty abyss hoping four more rings would magically manifest. Nope. Six lonely rings, huddled together like survivors of the Thanos snap. This isn’t portion control. This is a hate crime against nostalgia. Sonic corporate, if “large” now legally means “six rings and a prayer,” just update the menu so the rest of us elders can adjust our expectations and our blood pressure medication. Until this store learns basic arithmetic (or at least how to drop a second handful in the fryer), I’m locked at three stars, weeping into my half-empty bag. Still love you, Sonic. Waited forty mins for some corn dogs and cheese sticks! At twenty mins after watching all the other cars leave I asked about my food. Twenty mins later no sign of my food and so I left. I wasted so much of my night waiting to not even get food. Ridiculous
Pretty ridiculous to order on an app- get there and be told we are out of this and out of that but we can write it down and let you have it next time or you can pick something else. If we wanted a burger we wouldn’t go to sonic!! I am starting to understand why the world is so full of Karen’s.
I get at least 3 bags of ice from this sonic every week. Today was extremely different for whatever reason. I have anemia issues so I practically eat ice 24/7. My boyfriend went and got the bag for me this time and brought back an almost half empty bag and when I bit into the ice I could tell it was not fresh. That it was from the fountain drinks bin from the drive through. I would know since I use to work at sonic and this is my daily ice. That’s extremely unacceptable in my opinion and whoever filled the bag and deemed that suitable obviously has not been monitored or trained properly or is just straight up lazy. It’s ice, it shouldn’t be that difficult. This was around 3-4pm on January the 2nd. I pay almost 4 dollars for a bag of ice, I expect it done properly.
Sonic App isn’t working..So we asked if they would Honor the 1/2 price anyway for drinks….she told us no that they knew the App wasn’t working but to turn our Phones off and on and maybe it would start working…NOPE STILL didn’t work. We came from a Sonic in Lyndale on our way to Shreveport….so we already knew the App was an issue because we tried it there but didn’t ask them to honor it. So whether she gave it to us for 1/2 or the App did why does it matter? If I owned a Sonic I would ABSOLUTELY Honor the 1/2 price if the App was down. RUDE….lost our business altogether. They still could have made money on 2 drinks. Ridiculous…🙄 The drinks are way Over priced anyway!
Card readers are defective. It's "against policy" to notify customers of this. I recommend not using a card here. If this is truly sonic policy, I won't be using a card on the kiosks again... Even if it works. I'll have the employees take it inside S run it there. Mark defective equipment so customers don't try to use it. It could be defective because it's a skimmer. Apparently, don't use cards at Sonic.
Not a good experience. Asked the server for an allergy menu and they told me they didn’t have one? Okay that’s fine. I ask which drinks contain gluten and they tell me… NONE OF THEM. I go and find their allergy menu online, and over half the drinks contained gluten. This restaurant does not care about your safety!
Had a night time craving for chili cheese tots. They brought them out to me in record time. They were so fast the wind must have cooled the chili and cheese because the chili was cold and the cheese wasn't even melted. It is always a problem at this location. Idk why I even try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned. I will not ever go back.
First of all the gentleman they took the order over the drive-through. It was a very rude person. The young ladies that helped us at the window were very nice. But I ordered a five piece chicken tender meal and while on the road discovered I got three pieces and a half of fries come on get your orders right sonics a big corporation you should be able to do better than that and the man taking the orders at the drive-through get a hint don’t be so rude to people paying your check.
What a waste of money. Took my grandkids this afternoon for lunch and spent almost 40.00 for the three of us and it was not even edible the bacon was burnt to a crisp in chicken slider was meat was so dry and cold the added cheese didn't even melt and the bun was burnt and like chewing on a rubber band. The only good thing was the girl that took the order ( I don't remember her name but it started with a J. ) And the guy that brought the food out to us. No one answered the phone when I tried to call so I just gave up
Ordered jr bacon cheeseburger mayo only. Took a long time to get my order. Had a girl come to my car to ask me what I ordered. Repeated my order. Got down the road to discover no cheese. Went back. They slapped a piece of cheese on a burger that I had taken 2 bites of and brought back to me. Burger wasn't hot enough by then to melt the cheese. So called manager was not helpful when I called back to complain. Horrible service and quality of food.
Y’all, this is one of the few places to eat in liberty city, come on. Got an ultimate breakfast burrito…it wasn’t even half way full. A sad burrito and even more sad pregnant mama just trying to satisfy her cravings 🥲 I know y’all are high school kids, but take pride in your work, no matter what it is. You never know who will notice and what opportunities that may bring. Edit: there was also a hair in my shake. Update 2/6: this place is so awful. Took forever to get our food. It’s not even worth it. Might as well go to DQ or Whataburger here.
