The employees here bust their asses and should be appreciated more. The food was spectacular, the environment is welcoming. I can't say anything negative about this establishment. Witnessed a male Karen while in the restaurant complain about prices of alcohol. The portions are very generous. Just want to mention that before anyone comes on this page and complains about the prices. It's a restaurant they have to make money. Will be back for sure.
The outside could use a few athletics, but don't let that fool you. The minute you walk in the restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The servers were friendly and on target along with the menu and food. Prices very reasonable. Total bill for 4 before the discount was $60.00. Not expensive for the quality of food served.
What a wonderful Mexican restaurant ! The food was genuine and plentiful! The beers cold and the atmosphere warming and fun! We had the supreme burrito and enchiladas. Both spot on! The staff was so kind. We tried our best at a crane toy machine but was unsuccessful. My son is special needs and loves the crane machines. As we were leaving waitresses came out with a stuff toy they won for him ! Just outstanding in today’s world ! Thank you ! I highly recommend and will return again and again!
When to date night with my husband. We both had fajitas , they were amazing. It was a little dark, but we’d definitely go again. It was our 1st visit there.
If your coming off the Interstate 95 this will be the 1st restaurant that will grab your attention. It was that curiosity that got me into this restaurant. There will be a sign with the days special as soon as you walk in. Go to the right and the host will ask you for take out or dine in. I saw a lot of take out orders. For good reason as the service and the food was good. Payment will be in thr form of cash or credit card. There plenty of parking in the front and the back. Thr bathroom 🚻 were clean. Everyone was helpful and all the staff got along.
So very good!! Food was extremely hot. I loved the chips and the salsa with the bean dip alone as well as the cheese dip. I had the chicken and beef burrito. The chicken was so very tender and the beef burrito was amazing too! I loved it all!! The staff was so nice but their English was pretty hard to understand, but that’s okay!! Atmosphere was so cool!!!
The food quality is excellent and served quickly. With streaming mariachi music playing, the din is excessive and grew quite louder as I dined and the restaurant filled(this is my third time at this location). If you order in Spanish, they appreciate that. Not fluent? be prepared to repeat yourself; hence, minus two stars on their (service category) communication issues. No excuses: When you have a job serving the public in America, you should be able to converse in english with patrons. Or you can do what the locals do and point at the menu as to what you want to eat and drink. All in all, it is a superb gustatory experience. Communication issues aside; the atmosphere still leaves something to be desired... I'm not quite sure what that is. Personal preference issues notwithstanding, I only came here for the food, and it did not disappoint.
We thought we’d try this relatively new restaurant and we were not disappointed. It’s decorated very nicely, large tables for big groups and lots of booths. We chose chimichangas and the enchilada supremas and both were delicious and we had enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Angel was an excellent server and make sure we had everything we needed. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The restaurant is very clean, and the bathrooms are clean and nicely decorated. There were a few birthdays tonight and they had a big sombrero and sang to the birthday person.
Great prices. You can literally eat here for as much as Taco Bell, and food is authentic and great, not like cookie cutter Americanized Mexican restaurants. These pics was my order, but my girl is Mex-American from Cali, and said she was very impressed with enchiladas, and it seemed sauce was homemade and done right. About to put in an order now
Pretty typical Mexican Restaurant. UNFORTUNATELY, the location makes it hard to get to and you might miss it if you aren't paying attention to it. If you like the Mexican restaurant experience, you'll like this place. They have weekly specials on margaritas, they have all the stuff you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant. My wife always gets the fajitas or the nachos, and I recently got a sizzling molcajete bowl thing, which was both impressive and delicious. Service can hit or miss, depending on when you go, but I'm patient as long as the chips and salsa keep comin'. Also, they have a crane game with the rubber duckies in it. So there's that. Overall, we enjoy it and will continue to go there.
Good little place to eat Mexican. The service was good and attentive. The side of free pinto beans is good that comes with the chips and salsa. Good place!;
Its a nice little place drinks were good. Food was ok would have been great if it wasnt for the musty tortillas. A musty smelling tortilla is normally a sign of it have mold or bacteria build up.
Enjoyed the lunch combo, food was hot and had great flavor. Complementary chips and salsa also a complementary bean dip. Prices were reasonable.
Wife and I passed this placed a million times and finally decided to stop in for a date night and I'm kicking myself because we haven't visited sooner. Food was great, the margaritas were perfectly made and the service was amazing. I will say that I wasn't too crazy about their queso and I think more of their dishes should include a side of rice(it was only the one from what I remember unless you order it on the side) but other then that we had a great time and will definitely see ourselves in here again in the future!
Driving by this place looked alittle back in there ... but we wanted Mexican so we stopped and glad we did, service was A plus, atmosphere is fantastic and the food was pretty good, my only gripe for leaving out the 5th star is portion was I feel alittle small all the way around. But none the less would return if in the area again.
We went in because I am new here and wanted to try it. They brought chips and salsa and a bean dip. All were delicious and I was getting excited to try the food however we waited and after 10 min we watch a table of 6 come in and the waiter went directly to the big table and ignored us. Then we watched the manager walk around the room trying to give food to 4 different tables. They were not even that busy. We were thirsty so we left to go to Mi Casa instead. If the server had just acknowledged us once we would have stayed. Sad because the food smelled delicious. That is why I gave it 4 stars. You can have the best food in the world but if the service is bad no one will stay to eat it.
We've driven by this place since it opened a few years ago, on our way to another Mexican restaurant we like. We decided to try this out Friday. Service was ok, food was good, taco salad was smaller like a lunch portion, atmosphere was ok, large $15 margarita was delicious and huge. (The menu price was $13. 🤷♀️) With a little work on the atmosphere and the service, this place could stand out from other nearby Mexican restaurants. Needs some cleaning up, lightening up, and friendlier more confident staff. Better drink specials too. A nearby Mexican restaurant always has BOGO margs & drafts, bigger (regular sized) taco salad. They did have a yummy bean dip along with their salsa. That was delicious and a nice surprise.
Some dishes were great according to those in the party. The burrito is recommended by another in the party. They need to offer salsa with no "kick", or allow for guacamole or queso for the chips that come with orders. Instead they offered what tasted like watered-down spaghetti sauce they said was burrito sauce. Very thin, didn't stick to the chip. Not tasty at all. I was this generous with the stars based on the responses of others in the party.
The food was decent, especially considering the distance from the border, but it wasn’t the most authentic Mexican cuisine. I’m visiting from San Diego, California, and was hoping to experience the local Hispanic restaurants. I ordered the birria quesadillas, which unfortunately did not have the authentic flavor I was expecting.
Disappointing!! The Birria tacos were not crispy at all; they just stuffed it with meat. Tasted so average. And gave me the tiniest container of consume for 3 large meat-stuffed tacos. Make it make sense! No sour cream on the Taquitos, but at least they were crispy. The best thing was the chips and salsa, everything else tasted so mid. I'll never order here again. I recommend Mi Casa or elsewhere in town. Don’t waste your time.
Worst place I have ever been to to eat dinnner with my family. Our server which is a male with glasses and he has been working the bar as well. But I ordered a beer and it took 15 mins to receive. And ordered a cheese dip and it took a while hour to get out on our table and now I have been waiting over a hour for my food. The service has been terrible haven’t got a single refill or anything so if I had to put this place on a ranked system this place will be dead last. Don’t waste your time coming here unless you like to wait forever for your food and service.
I came in to make a Togo custom order for some Nachos. I was not greeted when I entered, although there were 2 employees standing at the entrance, I also had to request a menu. The total for my nacho order was 24.98. The fixings for the Nachos was fine, and it was alot. Enough for 2 ppl. But they gave this small bag of nacho chips ( like a 2 oz. Bag ). So I asked is this all the chips I get for such a large amount of food???? The lady said yes. If you want more chips that will be $2.50. I said for another small bag, I just spent almost $30 dollars for this, she said yes. I replied I can get a family bag of chips for that at the grocery store. I asked for a manager. At first the manager was available but never came out and they told me to come back and speak with a manager tomorrow. So I replied so you would rather lose on $30 rather than just give me the extra bag of chips which cost next to nothing. (Even if the bag was small I just needed more chips.) The MOD insisted that I pay for extra chips. Disgusted, I just got my money back. Instead of satisfying a customer with a simple request they would rather lose a sale and future business. This was my first time coming here, but I won't be back. The building is ran down and smelled like mold. The building is cracking. The succo on the outside of the building is coming off the building in big chunks. Outside really needs some attention. I only stood at the counter so im not sure of the rest of the inside. But I would rather travel all the way down to St.Marys before I give this place any more of my hard earned money.
I want to give more stars, but it want a good experience.. could have been better. We went here when it first opened, it was my the best , but figured it’s new and needs to work the kinks out. Second and third time were better but not as good as it could be. 4th time was this past Tuesday . When you walk in it still smells like mold/ mildew. I was hoping it would go away after the previous visits but no. Service is good, but very very slow. I ordered 3 tacos. Found a hair in my first taco, once that happens I’m done eating. Major turn off. We told the waitress and she did absolutely nothing. Didn’t offer to bring me new ones or take it off the bill. So after that, we won’t return.
