We stopped in La Spezia Italy as part of one of our cruise ports, and found MiVa for lunch. Great outdoor seating area that was covered. English as well as other languages widely spoken. The local wine choices were excellent. Try the anchovies with lemon, they were fresh and addicting, with fresh black peppercorns. The mortadella on the charcuterie board was great and light. Dessert choices were excellent, as we tried the Tartufo. Short walk from the water front, and off the main shopping area. Would definitely come back again.

We were looking for a good place to eat local pasta there wasnt a lot of restaurants in the corner but this one their menu was interesting and food quantities of spaghetti. The starters were delicious to bz honest and also the oluve oil on table was very tasty. The service is really good nice waitress. 2,5€ service fee for each person

Service was okay, when paying the bill the person asked euro or usd, then when take a closer look they just said “euro” and picked it for me. So impatient. The food was decent. The main plus is the menu has pictures so less reading and parsing text in the dark. Bathroom felt clean.

The location is great! It is close to the sea side in a nice street. This place also has an outdoor seating. The food was decent. The staff was friendly.

Very bad service, I would even call it a tourist trap. Food was ok at most. Rubber octupus, canned ansjovis and bad bruschetta. Would skip this.

TOURIST TRAP! Don’t eat here! Food is really bad! Just look at the pic! I had pork with some mushroom sauce…the sauce was disgusting and the mushrooms were tasteless and like rubber. And I paid 16€ for this! The only good thing was the very friendly and nice waitress.

Really nice setting, we had bruschetta for starters which was really good! Unfortunately our carbonara was not good, the eggs were scrambled & the pancetta was over cooked. However the staff did ask did we want something instead, & they did take the two pastas off the bill which I appreciated!

DO NOT EAT HERE. Worse meal of all during our trip. We got back to town late after watching the sunset and they had availability. Biggest mistake ever. Their recommended seafood appetizers and pasta weren’t fresh. Texture of shrimp and lobster was very off like it’s been in the freezer for too long or not stored properly. They sat us inside and the tablecloth had chocolate streaks/stains. Cutlery had stains and we had to ask for new ones. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere but here.
