The tables were in need of cleaning. None of the tables had been cleaned. It wasn't like that before. The person who cleaned our table did not continue to other tables. Because of our government and the minimum wage, I see the problem.

I love going to Panera. It's a rare treat though for me. It has gotten beyond extremely expensive. I keep things to half a sandwich and a cup of coffee. I asked about the 2-For deal they have. A salad and sandwich for lunch = $13?! Even for an occasional treat, I can't justify that. I used to bring pastry rings home to my family from here. They went from $8 to nearly $10 now. No thanks. I can go to Aldi's across the street for chocolate brioche. Or cheesecake for $10 that will last us a week. Or a pack of 8 chocolate pastries for the price of one chocolate pastry in Panara. I love you Panera, but at these prices one day I won't even stop in for coffee anymore!

Breakfast/lunch dine in was good. Request $5.99 strawberry with blue berries summer salad plus the kids meals sandwich turkey, avacado with bacon plus chips. Ate the sandwich and chips. Salad was for dinner!

I always appreciate the great food and service at Panera’s. They frequently add new sandwiches, salads and combos.

Service was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a soup and half sandwich. Turkey, cranberry walnut and chicken noodle soup. It was a proper portion for both. I appreciated 5 different coffee options! I used to visit the Arcadia Pandered a year ago and they had only decaf, regular and a specialty flavor. I will definitely return back to this location in the future!

Took a chance and used the online order and found process easy. Only took a minute to order then drive to and even have a designated parking spot. Walked in and order was on shelf ready for pickup. Items ordered were from bakery and were fresh and oh so tasty. Love this concept due to its ease.

Lovely spot. Never crazy busy. I always use the self check kiosk, I love it. The food prep ppl are crazy fast. They also have outlets and I like to work in the mornings some weekdays there for a change of pace.

Great place for a healthy choice. My favorite is the Tomato Basil soup. I really appreciate they count what you spend, so you may have a nice little surprise of food for you. The bakery is fresh and delicious. Great choice of coffee and teas. So helpful when you read the calorie you are drinking and the great choice healthy drinks. Great energy.

Updated review--April/May 2023. Continual improvements in overall service and customer service ups ratings to 5 stars. A little background... the Panera Bread Sierra turkey sandwich is awesome. It was my most ordered sandwich that I would take for lunch/dinner 2 or 3 times a week from 2006-2010. Thats a lot of Sierra turkey sandwiches. And I never got tired of them either. The one thing I would change is adding a second bag of chips and I'd get a couple of double chocolate chip cookies as my dessert. The sandwich itself was slicked turkey, foccacia bread, red onions, arugula and chipotle mayonnaise. There were dill pickle quarters served on the side. That combination made for a very tasty sandwich. Fast forward to early 2023 and we made our usual trip to Panera. Looking at all the treats while in line broght back a lot of memories. So once ready to order, I asked the Panera employee how long she'd been employed by there, and if she was familiar with the Sierra turkey sandwich. She had been employed there for many years and was very familiar with that sandwich. She even said a close version of it was still available. I was shocked and excited all at the same time. So you can imagine what I did :). I ordered my typical Sierra turkey sandwich, two bags of chips and a couple of chocolate chip cookies. After my first bite, I realized how much I appreciated the combination of ingredients. The sandwich and chips were awesome and took me back to 2006 when I first started ordering this magnificent combo. Soo... If you still have a taste for the Sierra turkey sandwich, you can still get it. I believe they referred to it as an "off menu item". You will not be disappointed. Back on to the LA Verne location, service definitely has been improving. So much so that we are starting to visit here on a regular basis. On our latest visits, employees have been pleasant and helpful. So thats a positive to see things improving and remain at that level. I've been coming to this location for a couple of years. Sadly, not once have I been impressed by the service. For starters, I'm not liking the new menu and the supposed health-conscious food items. Many of the best items have since disappeared and the meat portions have been reduced to what can he described as minimum. My favorites use to be the Sierra turkey sandwich and the various jumbo sized cookies and sweets. Only some of the previous cookie items are still on the menu. Anyway, this location is Laverne has an issue with accuracy and it takes forever to make an order via the app and subsequent in store pick up. In other words, by design or just personal behavior, the workers here are slow. This could unfortunately be our last time visiting this location simply because it takes forever for your order to made. Our last visit a few days ago was just shy of 45 minutes. Totally unacceptable for a non sit down restaurant. Since the pandemic, Panera has instituted a kiosk so there is no face to face contact with the workers. In store orders and payments are done via the kiosk. Its not the most user friendly machine, about as non user friendly as their mobile app. I will rate this location one more time before calling it quits. As it stands, due to the lengthy time for the order to be processed and the dwindling menu items, I can only rate it a solid 3 stars.

This location has business running very smoothly since the covid fiasco. A young lady named Estefan was incredibly helpful and took me to a kiosk and helped me order. She knew quite a bit about the menu and helped me make choices for my lunch. Panera always delivers the goods and I hope they don't lose their touch.

OMG. Place is amazing. Food cooked on site looks and smells amazing. Judging by the amount of people eating there and how happy they looked it has to be great. Wonderful selection of sausages and meats. We will be coming back soon.

Had lunch here today. The fall squash soup was so good! Love the fresh bread that is served with it. A crunchy crust & light fluffy middle. My boyfriend had their mac 'n cheese with bacon & steak panini. He liked them both, especially the horseradish on the sandwich.

Each time we come in we are impressed by the courtesy and the service extended by the workers especially the manager Anna. The food and the atmosphere are also the reasons why we keep coming back to this business. Thank you.

Just incredible. SO so amazing. I physically can't say anything negative about this place other than I live far away from it and (sadly) can't come every day. The food is delicious! The bakery is always full and the sandwiches and soups never disappoint. Something I want to spotlight though is how friendly the workers are. They always have a smile and are so kind and friendly. They're truly an amazing team of staff and are just overall wonderful to be around. So yes, this place defiantly deserves five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really really nice employees. They seem genuine. Not fake. They take time and listen. My boyfriend has always disliked Panera then one day I wanted it and bought him a sandwich. He’s veggie. The worker/server/cashier helped put together a sandwich leaving out the chicken and now guess who wants this sandwich constantly 😆 Men, I swear, big babies til you show them you can alter ever so slightly to appease.

I ordered the Mediterranean veggie sandwich w cup soup, which was tomato creamy soup. It was so good! Expensive, but that is what happens when you get fresh quality food! I love this place, I will pay the money because this place is worth it. I know they have smoothies and they are good to. I think I had a green smoothie. I don't remember the flavor. Yummy!!! If you want try fresh healthy meals come her. Although they do have Marguerita Pizza, looked yummy too my dad got it! And he is picky! But it was delicious...

Great place to eat dinner on a Sunday evening after church. Sometimes busy with students from local colleges/universities studying. Not loud, lots of whispering conversations. Outside tables are okay when it's not windy or rainy. Awesome service along with the nice selection of food to eat, especially snacks & sweets sold. Love the fresh baked bread, daily made.

Experience with this chain could be hit and miss, often miss. I am a big fan of baguettes, but the quality could be inconsistent among different locations. Today, I had one of the best baked ones: crunchy and textured outside and soft inside. The coffee came out great, balanced in its thickness and thinness, with an ideal temperature. I understand that we all have our bad hair days, just like their kitchen crew. When a simple item is made right, it sets the right tone for one's day. They definitely deserve more stars, at least for today!

Love coming here and getting either the tomato soup or Mac and Cheese with my chicken BBQ sandwich on the You Pick 2. Plus, being a member I get a free drink. The free drink renews every 2 hours, so you can get more then 1 drink a day as I'm always on the road. I would say the sandwich is pretty small based on the cost of the meal.

This operation is innovative in terms of new ways to order, pick up, and package popular items to-go. Service and presentation of foods is okay on colorful melamine dish ware. Wi-Fi is controlled to avoid all day sitting around. Food is good but service staff are not typically kind nor welcoming nor make you feel as such. Hence the 4stars. Coffee is good but day of visit place was completely out of creme. When asked ...was told creme would come in next day. Really?Management could have gone to local store w/petty cash and picked up a couple of gallons to last the day. Blaming delivery is incongruous w/efficient operations.

This is the Panera closest to my house. Basic Panera Bread fare, just like any of their other restaurants. Some really healthy choices, other food choices that are good for the soul! Something for everyone really. What made this more convenient is ordering on the app before hand so my food is ready when I get there. Panera Bread has become my go to fast-casual place to eat!

UPDATE 10.12.24 Worst meal I've had at Panera. The chicken was skimpy and i couldn't even fine the bacon. I hope this doesn't become their normal. It was wonderful as usual not busy on Sunday 6:30p THE BEST! Everywhere we went was a super long line. Coming here at that time was a wonderful gift. Food is ALWAYS good, hot and tasty!!

Butternut squash soup, and French onion really good. Sandwiches are average. They never butter the bread for the grilled cheese. It's not crispy either. Mac and cheese way too pricey

my daughter has celiac disease and we were trying to find out if there was flour in the turkey chili. the manager seemed bothered that we asked and when we asked if they had a gluten free menu she said no sharply and walked away.

The young cashier lady was extremely rude and had major attitude im talking about the LaVerne panera their selection was quite lintied but i did enjoy rhe mini cookirs but the coffee was horrible i usually dont write bad reviews only because i never really experience bad service often but this visit was one of them bring back the pumpkin muffies pleaee!!!!!

Used to be very reasonable and quality restaurant but the prices are up and the quality down. Last few soup options tasted like they came from a can. Very typical transition as a chain grows and profits became the focus. Too bad.

They always get the order wrong somehow one way or another. Over priced soup. The cookies were the only good thing really.

I love Panera's food but when I went in a few days ago and only got three bear claws to bring home and share with my neighbor it was sadly lacking in freshness. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon when I pick them up and when I got home to transfer them into a plastic bag they were already quite dry and even the icing was falling off. I will definitely check from here on out for the freshness

They were having technical issues with their registers so service was extra slow. Took a long time to ring up a simple Turkey chili in a bread bowl order. When I received the order the Turkey chili in the cup was only about 3/4 full. Didn't even fill up the bread bowl. Very unsatisfying, the cinnamon crunch bagel was delicious and the only reason they got 3 stars tonight. Usually better service and quantity... maybe just a bad night for the La Verne Panera.

If you want to charge anything there is legit only 3 outlets in this place. All were taken!! I waited 30 mins and no one left. God it’s so much more expensive, but nothing you can do about it.

Used to live next to this location for years, was shocked at change upon visit. Food is okay, charge way too much for what you get, food options are extremely low. Staff are eh, imagine this is just a means to an end for most working here. Menu has changed, feels like they got rid of half the stuff. Seems like you have to use the kiosks. Food quality barely seems to meet the price. Plenty of dedicated parking. Entrance, parking, kiosks, restrooms and seating are all accessible. So imagine a nice mall, with a lot of stores, plenty of customers, strong signs that it will be open for the next 5 years. Now you come back 5 years later and half the stores are closed, the mall looks dated, like the carpet, walls, tables and chairs need a refresh but there is no budget for that. This is what I see here, if all Paneras are in this shape the brand goes bankrupt in under 3 years. Best guess everyone was working from home at this location and they didn't buy a thing while they were here.

PB does need to meet us in 2024. The interior feels like you're back in the early 90s. The breakfast baguette is just OK, it tastes very processed unfortunately. Decent visit but disappointed unfortunately.

Pick Two. I chose pepperoni flatbread pizza & 1/2 strawberry chicken poppyseed salad. Salad is absolutely amazing but they were stingy on the salad dressing. Pizza has good flavor but flatbread pizza should be crispy and it's soggy, very disappointing. 😪

The place Panera as always clean, but the ladie who bring your food WOW so earlier to see the long and bitter faces, when you ask for something that is not well done. no more personal attention.

This place is awful to order. I have spent about 2 hours trying to order the pick 2 for 14 people online and then I went to the store spoke to the manager and she said I can only do it online. I tried again. I got everything, they online you can only do 10 orders & after all that and trying to check out. The site is out of service. Too much of a hassle to deal with this place. I will avoid it.

Their soups are great. The rest of their menu needs more diversity and a very thoughtful overhaul of their prices. To-go portions are terribly small.

My husband and I spend a lot of time at various Panera restaurants. The food is fresh and delicious! But the Laverne location is always freezing and so uncomfortable I don't think I can spend time there. It's not necessary to have the air conditioning that low.

This place is freezing cold. If you buy ice cream from outside it won't melt. It's like going to the frozen section of Costco. Bring your coat for snow if you want to stay inside. I'm not being sarcastic.

Time for Panera owners to invest in this store. Understaffed. Bathrooms were dirty and in desperate need of updating. Breakfast sandwiches were dry and the double bacon chibatta sandwich definitely did Not have a full order of bacon let alone e double. Do better Panera!

The atmosphere was messy. The food took longer than expected. The green smoothie was no good. You couldn’t really drink because they closed the lids too tight. The straws sucked because you couldn’t really drink. The sandwich was raw. Other than that the employees were really nice. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great people...NOT great food. CEASAR salad not Ceasar! Oil &vinegar. Ask for tip with NO service??? Way expensive for what you get. Bowl of lettuce with tasteless chicken slices chopped up should not cost this much. Rule in the restaurant business is triple the cost. Mac & cheese served with a spoon? Not a repeat for me. Not good value for what you get. Nothing is made fresh here folks...it's all "hype", you can taste the preserves in there sliced chicken...totally nasty and certainly NOT FRESH!

I ordered a macaroni and cheese and they over charged for a very small bowl, they also gave me a spoon to eat it with not a fork. I felt like I was treated like I was a little child not an adult.

They refuse to pick up their phones. They run out of bread at 5pm on a Sunday. 4 hours before they close. Ridiculous. Oh and if you think they’ll deliver, think again. They won’t deliver after 8pm. Which is not posted on their website. What bakery runs out of bread???

This restaurant was filthy. The dining area and the bathrooms were disgusting. No further things to be said if a place is that dirty.

I was having a hard time ordering online. It kicked me out twice and when finally got the order it change my time to 8 pm . When I got their to pickup this young girl walks out and tossed my food into my hands and said "by the way we close at 8'o clock. Then walked away with attitude. I will not be coming back to this Panera EVER.

EVERY ONE of our orders was wrong. When we went back to fix them, the staff was rude and uncooperative. We had three turkey sandwiches, one pie, soda, and two soups with bread on the side, but they charged us for three chicken sandwiches with the wrong bread and bacon when we asked for none, no soda, one soup no bread, a cookie, and two pies. We asked for help and they were rude and blamed us. I have never in my life been to a place where ALL of my orders were wrong!!

There were too many people inside not social distancing and the employees were not enforcing masks at all. One person didn't have theirs on and some others were improperly wearing their masks, and the employees did not say anything to them. Also they got my order wrong. It's not worth going back to get my correct order if people aren't properly wearing masks at this Panera.

Lunch time, mid 80's outside and the ice machine is broken. No romane lettuce for Ceasar salad, no vinaigrette for sisters salad and my mom's creamy chicken and wild rice soup was thin and watery. Was told by a manager? that it was the way it was. Rude much 😒

I’ve received the incorrect order twice in 2 weeks. I had stopped going to this Panera location before due to poor customer service and incorrect orders about a year ago. I decided to try it out again and am disappointed. The managers are helpful and make attempts to resolve the situation, however, if the employees are going to continue to not fulfill orders correctly, it’s not worth the trip.

Went to Panera at 8:20 on a Friday night. Although our salads, soup and sandwiches were good and fresh (except the cold chewy baguette) the cashier was rude, they turned very loud music on using profanities. I cannot believe a franchise allows this. Wonder what the owner would say. They told us several times they close at 9 and to bring our dirty dishes up to the counter. We did eat very quickly while they were around us cleaning the dining room. Very, very poorly trained employees!

I ordered a French onion soup bread bowl and a bbq chicken salad with a hardboiled egg. The soup was fine, but the egg in the salad had a rancid taste to it! After biting into it, I immediately spat it out and had to throw the salad away. Waste of $20 before delivery charges.

Panera Bread used to be the place to go before Covid-19. Ever since we have gone to Panera, La Verne, Ca. The place is unclean, tables dirty, spilled drinks, etc. But, not only the Bagels are poor, little taste, but the Coffee was cold or Luke warm. But, prices went up, but service down. We will make our own Bagels and Coffee at home from now on.

10 $ for a steak sandwich, and it only had 2.0 oz of meat on it and a bad attitude from the manager when it was returned. Dinning room a mess and not busy at all. Had to clean our own table. This is probably the worst store I have ever been to. Someone from corporate needs to pay a visit at this location.

Terrible customer service! Especially, the manager, Danielle, is very rude and has no idea how to deal with customers. I never came across such a bad attitude towards the customers, and I go to Panera a lot. I have a subscription for the drinks, but she did not let me have it because they were closed, but I had already ordered it through self-checkout. I honestly felt discriminated at this location.

BEWARE. You may get your wallet stolen. My mother in law had her wallet stolen while in this Panera in Feb. 2026. A family friend had her wallet stolen while in this Panera a few months earlier. When MIL called to report it to the police they said that they often get reports of wallets stolen while in Panera. Go at your own risk.

So since 2024 I have had nothing but issues at this store with management. Each time I use the restroom the manager complains that she will contact the police. The atmosphere use to be pleasant but since new management its been nothing but hell at Panera. The Vibe of management comes across as snarky and racist. The manage attitude is horrible very angry . Please speak to your staff regarding leaving their emotions at home when dealing with customers.

There was this super heavy girl that was working there and she didn't even said hi, welcome or do you need help? absolutely nothing. She just walked to the back. This location needs resposable workers. The register can't be alone there and customers waiting. They were not busy because there was no people.
