Drove from Durham to Chapel Hill just to try some pizza and they did not disappoint me! It was worth the drive! Definitely recommend!

Hands down some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The ranchero was amazing, and the classic pepperoni never fails. The owner even had a friendly conversation with me and told me the story of the restaurant. Best customer service, best pizza, and most important best prices. 10/10

I've only been for takeout but I love their pizza. The crust is the perfect texture and thickness. Always hits the spot. Also as a ranch devotee, theirs is the perfect flavor for dipping.

Even though Alfredo's is billed as a pizza place, I almost always get the Greek salad. If you're into tangy, piquant flavors like I am, their Greek salad is amazing for that. Feta cheese, two kinds of olives, plus I always add banana peppers. So good! The pizza is great, too, and my husband enjoys the calzones. Service is always fantastic and on point.

I eat at Alfredo's at least once a week and have been doing so for 8 years now. He's such a great guy, and whenever I see him, he loves to chat about the town, and the business. He works so hard hiring the best employees who all work together to make it a great dining experience. The food is AMAZING. It is the best pizza in Chapel Hill without a doubt! My whole family loves the garlic knots, and I love the wings too. If you want to support a great local business, where the food and service are both top notch, go see Alfredo and his employees.

Great pizza has the right amount of ingredients on a good pizza base that isn’t too think and isn’t too thin. Alfredo’s has it nailed. I’ve had many pizzas from here and everyone is delivered steaming hot and perfect. I wont order from anywhere else!

The owner is incredibly nice. The staff is friendly and inviting. The food is delicious. I love that they state it is New York inspired but not actual New York style pizza, because nothing outside of NY is real NY style. I recommend everyone to come here! It's got great food from the pizza to the sandwiches to the salads!

You won’t get a better slice around. The whole pies fresh are even better…. Not to mention fair priced. 2 crap slices on Franklin st are over 15 bucks! And it’s not even comparable to Alfredo’s.

The best pizza in town. I can't say about the other dishes they serve, but Alfredo's makes the best pizzas in town. Their crusts are superb, the sauce has flavor without being overpowering, there are enough toppings without feeling like I need to eat with a shovel. I've tried plenty of other places in the area, and this is the one my family and I always come back to.

Very good pizza if you like thin crust traditional. I do. I don't care for the tip prompt when paying especially since I'm ordering at the counter and serving myself.

Great deals. They have a 14 inch two topping with two drinks after tax ends up being roughly 15$. Also a slice with salad and a drink for 6.95. I take my mom and my kids there all the time. The staff is so nice, I love that the same people are usually working. It is very family friendly, and on days when there's good weather we eat outside and the boys can play in a small play area that they have near their outdoor seating. There are also multiple TVs inside for those who like to watch sports or news while enjoying a great meal for a great price.

Alfredos is a great restaurant, the food is always high quality, beats other pizza shops in this area by a million. I always get a warm greeting, fast service, and even extras thrown in really makes someone feel good its nice to be treated like a real person when you go out to eat. This place is, and always will be a wonderful place with really genuinely good good food. Good pizza in the south, honestly as a northerner is VERY hard to find, most chapel hill pizza joints shovel out soggy cold pizza for drunken college students who don't care what they are eating, this place is all class. Outstanding food and service. I really don't understand all the people complaining about issues with coupons, the owner, etc. My partner and I went there last night because of a friends recommendation, and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and even gave us some discounts on the order just because, we didn't even have coupons. I've never had that type of service before. The owner seemed genuinely thankful for our business, which is all too rare these days. The pizza was outstanding, far better than any of the other establishments in the area. The flavors in the specialty slices were light but well balanced, not overwhelming like most places with teenagers throwing handfuls of everything on. We enjoyed it so much, we even ordered a pizza to take home for later, which he also gave us a discount on. (Again, no coupon) Overall, they have a excellent slice of NY pizza with service to match, and we will definitely be coming back.

I would not change a thing. They cook the pizza perfectly! I've loved this place since it was Mio's! Go ahead and get an 18" pie and freeze what you can't eat. Comes back wonderfully!

1/2026: finally got to check out their new location by the new condos. Love the space. Pizza was perfect just like before and we even got their take away container for our leftovers. Loved their thin crust pizzas. Lots of flavor . Staff was helpful. I know they get busy so we made sure to go during off ours. Definitely worth coming bk again

Ordered one cheese and one margherita from the Slice/ One Bite app. Both were great and I don’t think you can get better pizza for the price.

We recently hosted my daughter's 5th birthday at Alfredo's. They allowed me to come in early and set up decorations and cake/cupcakes and were so attentive to our group of about 40 people. They provided delicious pizza, excellent service and even played Disney music throughout the restaurant to go with the "Princess and Pizza" themed party! I would highly recommend them as a venue for an easy birthday party!

Pizza was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and side salads were also handmade and refreshingly chilled Ingredients. All of the Staff was very friendly and was happy to cook and serve your food with a smile. Thank you very much. We will be back!

I spent most of my life in New Jersey after having been born here in NC, but I'm not one of those annoying transplants whining about how there is no good pizza here. I'll tell you a secret: "Jersey pizza" can be awful. It can be a sodden mess of cheap cheese with grease dripping off of soggy crust. THIS pizza, on the other hand, at Alfredo's Pizza Villa, is what pizza should be. The crust is the right blend of soft and crisp, the toppings are quality and not at all greasy (not even the sausage), and the slices are huge. This is terrific pizza. Most of the stores at University Place were flood after storm Chantal on July 6, 2025. Somehow Alfredo's escaped, but I'm sure they're struggling with the Silverspot theatre closed. Please go support this business and you'll be rewarded with some of the best pizza you'll have in the area.

HUGE fan of this pizzeria!! Been coming here for a few months, since my job has brought me to Chapel Hill. I really dig the pizza and salads, here! Lots of great choices and a very expansive menu. Great specials, too. Prices are very good, considering the portions and the quality, overall. Very charming place and crew. Alfredo is a character, and is entertaining to talk to. Pretty sure he knows everybody in this town. He will definitely make you smile, over a great meal!

Let me tell you about my man Alfredo! The guy has assembled a team in there that gets it 🤌🏽 very nice location and restaurant. I stopped by on my road trip to the coast and didn't regret it. I was born in 89. I’ve been eating the Ranchero pizza from here since I was like 11 or 12 years old. This is the crabmeat of Rancheros. Not the imitation crab(other rancheros) that other pizza places offer.

My uncle owns this pizzeria and its always been my favorite. Alfredo definitely has a passion for making wonderful food!

Went in for a couple slices to go. I've never been to Alfredo's Pizza Village before but my friend highly recommended it! I got the white & she wanted a slice with the most on it :) As you would expect, the slices are very generous. We both enjoyed our choices! I was also pleasantly pleased with the staff. Both gentlemen were courteous and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Alfredo's is my go-to for great pizza! I have been going here for 20+ years with a gap in there when I was living too far away. The single slices are huge but we usually get whole pies. I've also done catering with Alfredo's and it never disappoints. Writing this makes me want to go out now for some pizza ;)

Ordered over the phone, but when I arrived they claimed that the order never went through. Later found out the order was placed under the incorrect name. The cashier was kind and apologized. However, the guy making the pizza instead of apologizing was quick to blame their system. I understand that these things happen but in the past when it happened both cashier and pizza makers were quick to apologize and made sure that I was leaving a happy customer. Now I can understand why others are saying that the customer service is weighing down the good pizza.i felt leaving disappointed and after coming here for years am not sure I want to come back. Update: I did end up calling the restaurant back and got to speak with the manager on duty. He was very kind and understanding about the issue. Although he was not on duty or had yet to hear about the interaction he quickly apologized and offered up multiple compensations. I appreciated his willingness to hear me out and assured me that the way the problem was handled was not what he or any other manager would have done. Seeing that they care about customer feedback and take it seriously makes me feel reassured as a reoccurring customer.

TLDR: GREAT PLACE! We were traveling on Valentine’s Day (Saturday this year) and of course, every sit down restaurant was booked. One we stopped by had 18 couples on a waitlist! We magically found Alfredo’s and it was about 30% full, which was a welcoming sight. Parking was easy. The space was relaxed. Found out the restaurant itself has been around for 30 years, and the owner himself even popped in for a moment - complete with heavy Italian accent. As a New Yorker, highly recommend!!

It's crazy for me to think how the time has passed, but I've been supporting Alfredo's Pizza for nearly 20 years now! They have long been my neighborhood pizza spot since I was a teenager and working to get into UNC. Chapel Hill's best gourmet pizza, subs, calzones, stromboli -- I honestly love it all, really... The new 900 Willow location has turned out to be really great, and the addition of the bar area, large TVs and expanded floor-space/seating have all made a great thing even better. Alfredo's has always been a trusted, reliable and beloved take-out spot, and they have now become a great hangout spot that I've been proud to support. I am sure they will only continue to improve on the new space and do big things. I love the staff here. Super friendly! The pizza was delicious, not a showstopper, but like really solid good pizza. DONT GET CANNOLIS HERE. The cannolis are nooooooooot good. Look, this place has great pizza, Italian sodas, and the atmosphere is so chill. But the cannolis are a disappointment to the name. Just call them something else? Fry bread with too many wet chocolate sprinkles and bad whipped cream, maybe? Like maybe just don’t sell those? I wish I hadn’t bought them. Took one bite and regretted it. Soggy. It took the pizza a long time to come out, and we noticed many guests getting their pizzas before us although we saw them order after us. But I can’t complain too much because we were having a great conversation with our friends! $6 for those soggy cannolis though? Nah, next time I’ll get the tiramisu like the cashier suggested.

The taste was good, but I was concerned about a food safety issue. The pizza was placed directly on the cardboard box without any paper liner underneath. Cardboard boxes typically have printed ink on the surface, and may contain microscopic debris or contaminants that are not visible to the eye. In my case, the box already had a crack in the middle layer, and oil had soaked through the cardboard. This raised concerns for me about potential bacterial exposure or contamination transferring from the box to the food. I hope the restaurant can consider adding a paper liner under the pizza, as this would be a simple improvement that helps address food safety concerns and improves overall hygiene.

I love the vegetable pizza! The staff is always friendly and I placed an order for pick up. I always get the vegetable pizza. Alfredo’s has been there for 23 years and is easy to find In University Mall. There is also a coupon in the Go Play Save if you want to save some money. Grazie!

Pizza was good, but not great. Service was outstanding and friendly. Alfredo's is a good, relatively inexpensive place to eat. I would definitely eat there again.

The staff are very friendly and fun. We dined in and ordered a personal pizza with 10 wings. Everything came out quick and fresh. Great environment to hang out in and enjoy their delicious pizza. Fortunately, they don't give tiny chicken wings, they give pretty big wings that are worth the price!

After not having the best experience with takeout pizza on my first visit to Alfredo's, I am happy to report that my second order was much improved: the margherita pizza was quite tasty, as well as the garlic knots. I want to say thank you to management, particularly Nathan, for remaking a pizza after the first was overcooked and dried out during my first visit.

I've loved Alfredo's since they opened! It the best pizza, sandwiches, calzones / Stromboli since I moved to NC! However I'm not able to afford it for awhile now & as often as I'd like. The prices have gone up for me a bit too much. (Sorry Alfredo) And for someone who used to be very picky about putting a lot of toppings on his pizza's they're a bit skimpy now. (You have to ask for more). 😉 But the sauce, thin handmade crust, real crumble sausage is so good I just have to treat myself as often as I can!

Update‼️ I had 2 pizzas in the last month and they were back to the delicious quality pizzas they were known for yayyyyy!!!!!❤️ I have been eating this pizza over 15 years and I don't know why it is so hit or miss now. The crust is almost always burnt or spread to thin. I think 1 oven cooks different bc I normally order 2 pizzas and 1 will be ok and the other burnt. Love the owner and the staff but the quality is a little off.

Summary: Good Pizza, Bad Delivery. The Good: I would rate the quality of pizza at Alfredo's as a 4 easily. Their crust is one of the bests I've ever had, and though their sauce could be better, the overall quality of the pizza is top notch. The people seem friendly enough. The Bad: Delivery is terrible. Just don't even bother. Drive up and get it. It shouldn't even be said that delivery is offered. You could walk across Chapel Hill and back home in the time it takes them to drive a pizza to your residence. I ordered online at exactly 3:28PM for a late lunch. $27 all told for an 18" pie, tax, tip up front (which now I know why), and delivery charge (a reasonable $1.50). At 4:38, 70 minutes later, I called up and asked if there was an issue as I had still not received my pizza. The person on the phone said it's possible they had missed it and that it was coming out of the oven and he'd drive it over after. No apology offered. At 5:00pm on the dot the delivery guy knocked on the door, handed me my pizza, said "Enjoy" and walked off. Again, no acknowledgement that the delivery took them 90 minutes. Just "Enjoy" and a walk off. I feel like some sort of assurance that this isn't normal, or that they apologize, or that they would make it better for me in the future would not have been out of line, but I didn't get any of that. As terrible as it sounds, I'll probably go back. Even though their delivery is unapologetically absent, their pizza is good. I'll just drive up from now on. Still, I can't help but feel a little bitter that what I thought was a great pizza place is now just mediocre.

I agree with what others have recently written. I've been eating Alfredo's pizza for about 20 years now and just recently the service has really taken a turn for the worse. We had to cancel one takeout order because when we arrived, 1 hour after ordering, our pizza was still no where near close to being ready. In an attempt to give them a second chance, we went to visit the new location and dine in. unfortunately, we had another similar experience dining in where it took close to 50 mins to receive our pizza after ordering. I'm not sure what has happened. The food is still good, one of my favorite pizzas, but the long wait times are deterring us from ordering.

Quality and delivery have declined. Three times we have had late almost cold pizza. They forget the parchment under it so it sticks to the box. Today we got burned pizza crust.

Have loved coming here over the years, however ordered pickup today and it tasted off compared to normal, when I called to talk to someone about it, the man I spoke to just said sorry about that, it's made the same way every time. The sauce was bland on everything so something was different. We won't be returning to spend $50+ each time to be disrespected. Very upset that this won't be a place we go to anymore.

Till today, I've never been disappointed but then all I've gotten there was a slice of pizza and a drink, sometimes the special with the salad. I was there last weekend and I had to wipe off the table due to crumbs. Today I called them because I've been trying to retrace my steps from last weekend, thinking I might've left my sweater there. I asked whoever answered if they have a lost and found, explaining that I lost my sweater. The guy who answered said no, they don't have lost and found. So my question is this, what if someone did find my sweater? What'd they do, throw it away?

It is with sadness that I’m writing this review. I have been coming to Alfredo’s since my daughter who is now 30 years old was a baby. It seems that from some time now they are more focused in the money they make with deliveries and don’t care about the customers who come to the restaurant. The manager was very unfriendly. There were no slices of pizza available but only two types that I don’t like. They did not even have cheese for my 4 year old grandchild. When asked the manager, he was rude and said that he wasn’t going to stop the 20 pizzas he was making for delivery to take care of us. The Diet Pepsi had no syrup and they couldn’t care less to change it quickly. I’m sure if Alfredo had been here, this would have not happened. He has always been nice and very attentive. Please take care of your business because with these employees you are going to lose your customers.

Alfredos -- we have been buying your pizza for over 10 years. It was always the best in Chapel Hill, mostly because your used fresh ingredients and real cheese. But you must have changed your cheese -- our usual pizza (pepperoni, mushroom, green peppers, olives) - came out very greasy with a clear difference in taste. Please go back to the original mozzarella you were using rather than the blend!

the lady at the front almost didn't even let my wife order before asking for money ?? the food was fine. we did order a large salad that was pretty small, which was disappointing. food aside, the table was super wobbly, the pepsi was completely flat, the soda machine was broken, and you have to essentially buss your own table. this place would be so much better if it wasn't as expensive. like no shot i paid $60 for okay food and poor service ?

Maybe an excellent establishment but should not be using Toogoodtogo. Surprise bag consisted of over cooked pasta and plain marinara (no seasoning, cheese ) and 5 small garlic knots. What was advertised was not delivered. Disappointed and will not try in future.

I usually go to this delicious pizza a few times a year over the last 5 years or so, but yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I bought their large pepperoni pizza and took it home. My husband and I became ill a few hours later with fever, chills, nausonous and bad bowel movements. The next day, we felt better but we couldn't figure why that happened. So later on tonight, my husband ate the left over pizza again from the microwave and his fever, chills and everything else came back. We realized it was the cause from the pizza. I love this place, but they need to fix this as soon as possible.

The reviews were so good i had to try it. Oops. my mistake. Hands down the number 1 worst pizza i have ever purchased. Almost no meat on a meat based pizza and the doe wasn't all the way cooked. Never ever will I purchase from this place again. Little Caesars being a lower end chain is way way better then this high priced junk. BTW: almost all of it ended up in the garbage can and we purchased elsewhere.

I’m highly disappointed with the service I received today by the owner himself, and the caucasian female with blond hair she said her name I believe was Geovonea i’m not sure how to spell it. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and when I got back to work and took it out the bag and started to eat, I noticed a fly melted in the cheese at the top of the crust. When I went back to show them the fly, the owner himself said to me that wasn’t there when I sold it to you do want your money back or another slice not a fresh slice, but the slice that was in the same pie sitting on the counter which is exposed to flies and what ever other bugs around. I said I saw a black speck on the pizza but I figured it was just a pepper flake from a far. She responded with if you saw it on there why didn’t you say something while I was processing your payment. I thought that was very rude as if I would pay for a fly on my pizza if I noticed what it was . Not to mention she tried to fight me and called me. There was no apology initially once I walked in as I was the one to blame . Poor customer service .

As a Philly person who has tried many types of Philly cheese steak pizzas, this version you guys offer is horrendous. Starting off with the type of cheese, it doesn’t even compliment the other toppings and the pizza as a whole. The extra sprinkled cheese top makes it taste bad when you’re taking a bite it’s basically abuse for my tongue. The beef and mushroom have little to no flavoring making the overall taste kinda meh. To improve I’d change the cheese for it, add onions, and peppers to make it more of a Philly cheese steak pizza you guys are going for!

Avoid at all costs! I've been a customer for years, so this is based on a history of orders and recent experience. Generally, the pizza, appetizers, wings, pasta entrees are mediocre. Not anything you would recognize as quality or even good pizza. And generally the quality has been going down steadily over the years. The one advantage for me was proximity and typically a decent delivery time. Even then, delivery was sometimes late, with missing items, etc. Recently I ordered a delivery and the delivery driver drove on to a walkway (which had a sign saying no cars) and then backed up through a planter bed running over an electrical line and garden statutes. I still have no idea how the driver could have thought the walkway was a place where he could drive his car...coming within inches of my house and barely being able to back out. All of this recorded on security cameras in full. I called the store the next day and asked for the manager. That took ten minutes to get him on the phone, and then he acted as if he was not interested in addressing the damage. No apology, no customer service. Just said he would speak to the owner and would get back to me. Also trying to pass the blame onto a delivery agent. It's been a month, and no response, or follow up. My suggestion, if you value your property and don't want a delivery driver damaging your property- avoid at all costs. There are much better options out there for pizza. It's not worth ordering bad pizza and then need to pay for damage to your house!

Unhelpful staff. I have never written a review before, but I don’t plan to order from here again. Ordering pickup during the pouring rain with a toddler and umbrella in my hands, I ask for a bag for the salad to ease my carrying and the cashier simply and non-chalantly says “We’re out.” Then I say that I have a toddler and a pizza to carry. She says “I’m sorry, we are out.” She offered no solution - like - how about you get your toddler in the car in the pouring rain and then we can bring it out…nothing. She turned around and went on with her business. Maybe great pizza and food, but poor, aloof service.

Never had problems before so I didn't inspect pizzas before leaving the store. Payed almost $40.00 for two pizzas. One was burned and inedible. The other was tasteless. What has happened to your store? Never saw this coming. Might want to check and see who was on at 3:45 on Oct 2. They let you down. They should never let mistakes like that leave the store.

1 star until this restaurant stops charging a dollar for a little bitty cup of ranch. Who charges for dipping sauce? It's not exactly gourmet ranch dressing, either. It's a shame because the pizza is good...but I'm not going to put up with being nickel and dimed. The cups are so small that one dipping cup only lasts one slice of pizza.

How disappointing to pay for a salad and pay extra to add chicken and not eat it? The chicken is frozen chicken and only seasoned with pepper. The children's spaghetti is watered down and just crushed tomatoes that looks like they just poured out of a can and microwaved, and added noodles and meatballs to. They didn't have ice for fountain drinks and the female staff seemed like they had a bit of an attitude. I really hate I spent my money here, should've just ordered food while we watched our movie in silverspot. Wish I could get a refund, at least on my salad....

The pizza here was really not great. I ordered carry out to try Alfredo’s for the first time and was really disappointed. Dry with little flavor and minimal toppings.

Ordered a pie for my wife at 6:21pm and received a phone call from the delivery driver at 7:17pm from the delivery driver who stated he was at the wrong address. I was reluctant to orders from them since my pizza wasn't cooked fully on my last order. This guy had the nerve to tell me he didn't have change and asked how much of a tip I was going to leave him. He literally started arguing with me and when I called the store and spoke to Alberto and explained the situation to him he said the owner wouldn't listen to my situation. This place is a dump and recommend you find a place that values its clients and quality of food. I'm sorry for the review but don't want anyone else to experience the poor food quality or incompetent and confrontational service from your delivery drivers. BTW I did intend to tip this idiot before he started his scam!

We placed an order for delivery at 5pm by phone in anticipation of a birthday party for 20 kids. We were told to expect a 6:30pm delivery. When we called at 6:50pm, we were informed that our order had been lost. Please let this review be a warning to anyone banking on Alfredos follow through.

The pizza was less than memorable. It was very thin, not crispy and very pale. Could have used longer in the oven. It's unfortunate because I like to support smaller businesses. With all the fancy ovens at your disposal I anticipated a better pie. I'm sure the rent is high but I can't imagine you'll have repeat business unless you improve your product. From one business owner to the next: Be generous, offer samples, try new processes, experiment with cooking times, type of crust, watch you-tube videos of successful pizza shops and take note....etc. The place was all but empty when my husband and I were there=so take that time to try new things. I know the price of the syrup for fountain drinks is pennies so don't charge-$3 for a drink. Make your money somewhere else-like cultivating repeat business. Maybe hire a business consultant for retail/restaurant businesses. I hope you take my experienced suggestions to heart and are successful but if the place stays empty like it was you won 't be.
