I like Corner Bakery Cafe in general. This one is elegant and nicely decorated. You can always choose between chips and Caesar salad 🥗 as a side for the same price. The roast beef 🥩 sandwich 🥪 is top for my taste. Tables outside the restaurant need to be cleaned 🧼 before using; they are not clean. The five star rating doesn’t take service into account is self service and semi-self service restaurants. Thanks to Katheryn for being responsive.

A standard Corner Bakery spot, you won't be disappointed going there if you know what to expect. The outdoor seating is nice and Socal weather is amenable to 300 days of eating outdoors. It's nice to have a caprice sandwich on a hot summer day.

Delicious chicken tortilla soup with a roast beef and cheddar sandwich on focaccia bread. Soup was hot and tasty and the focaccia bread was fresh and soft. Very busy spot at lunch but the staff had it covered. Can't wait to go back!

Corner Bakery is great for their pastas, soup, salads 🥗, sandwiches 🥪, and desserts 🧁. Order the choice of two option to get a variety for lunch. Good portion sizes. A little more food than I like to eat, but feels like a better value. We recommend their club sandwich, pasta carbonara, and Caesar salad. We will visit again.

I am happy to say that I can increase my previous score, 2 stars, to 4 stars. This location has hired new staff and the service has improved tremendously. The food is good and if you sign up for their app you get great coupons. Previous review: The food at this location is good, but the newer staff is rude and acts like customers are an inconvenience. Yesterday, my family and I went for lunch. We waited in line while the cashier did something over by her register (not sure what she was doing, not counting cash or dealing with receipts). She didn't acknowledge us or greet us. No mention of "I'll be right with you". She just left us standing there for about two minutes like we didn't exist. As we were ordering, a different customer came over to ask why she hadn't gotten her bread. She was rudely told that her lunch no longer came with bread. I understand that lunches change, but the tone of the response was rude and unacceptable. Instead of "I'm sorry our lunches changed and this combination no longer comes with bread." (or something similar) the response was "It changed! No bread!" Another customer came to ask about carrots that were missing from her order. The worker went and grabbed some carrots and tossed them onto her plate, like trash. Very disappointing. The staff and service in the past have always been much better.

Let me start with the positive. The place is beautiful and our coffee drinks were perfect. But... It took forever to get the simplest of orders fulfilled. There was nobody in charge, nobody directing traffic. So every order was handled one by one with a lot of people standing around in between. It was the most inefficient operation i've seen. Just no sense of urgency in getting the orders out.

It was much better before COVID. They had two great salads. The Asian wonton chicken salad and the spinach sweet crisp salad. They've both been eliminated from the menu. I went there just to enjoy those unique salads. Now I go elsewhere. I used to go there several times a week. Now I never go. My recent "visit" you picked up was just to use the restroom!

It had been years since I visited this location of "Corner Bakery" as in the olden days I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich. It was just average, nothing soecial! I had them replace potato chips with baby carrots at no extra charge just like I did in the past.

It was good experience they have good pancakes and black coffee but the guy that was working on the Monday morning shift had really bad attitude like throwing our plate on the table and not giving us an extra fork although we were 2 . I was gonna file a complaint but a comment is better( NOTE) the guy is white blonde 5.10 probably 180 lb or more

Stopped in to have lunch with my sister Susan. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which was very delicious and fresh tasting. This came with a small bag of potato chips...yummy! My sister had a sandwich and soup combo which she said was very good too. Friendly cashier. One thing I DIDN'T like was seeing a gray utility pan full of dirty dishes on a dining table 4 feet away from us during most of our lunch time there. That table was located near the entrance...not a good welcome for sure. I'm not sure if the worker got busy doing something else and forgot to come back and take it to the kitchen...it was still there when we left😳😞

Idk what it is about this location but I will not be coming back. This time, I ordered online because there was a 50% off promo for online but I forgot to put in the code. I immediately realized it and tried to cancel but the page would not load. I then tried to call and no one answered the phone. THEN I get to the restaurant and try to speak to the manager but he could not be bothered. The nice girl at the register asked him twice to come out. So disappointed. I left and paid full price for what should have been 50% off. 😒

It’s a nice place to get a salad if you walk in but not if you Uber it. I got an awesome salad when I ordered for take out in the shop however when I later ordered the exact same thing. (But more expensive) for delivery I got something quite different. So yes 5 star salad for in shop but 1 star for delivery.

When I rolled up there were a few groups of people gathered around self service screens. Not a cashier in sight. I went to the only free screen and started my order. I was halfway through when a cashier showed up. "I can take your order." Well, no. I'm halfway through my order. I can just finish. The cashier then wanted to help the other groups of people. They all pile over to the cashier and stand on top of me while I rush to finish my order. I like the self serve screens. I don't like being rushed. I think the problem could be fixed by moving the order touchscreen away from the cashier.

I love the food but they definitely need a lot of cleaning, the bathrooms are very dirty, they smell bad, the floor is dirty, I wonder if they will clean it, the doors are dirty, where the wallpaper is there is a lot of dust and the lamps are not even mentioned 😔 it is sad that such a cozy, pretty place with good food is not clean.

Used to like corner bakery but the one on el toro is disgusting. Half the tables were dirty, faint odor of mildew. Food was cold when it cane out and one of the staff was very sour and clearly hated her job and her life. We will not return!

Service is ok, but I do not understand the appeal of the atmosphere or food. Portions are small, and the food I get I immediately think, "I should've just made this at home." If I'm getting food, I want something I can bite into and feel good about spending my dollar into it.

I walked in with my family, there was no customers at the time. We counted 8 tables full of dishes and very dirty. The coffee are had spilled every where. The restrooms were so dirty and smelling horrible. You can totally tell the place was not clean in a very long time. Very disappointing. Because we love the food here.

Terrible customer service. Very rude. We ordered our meal online and picked it up. When we emptied the bag at home, we realized that a sandwich was missing. We called Corner Bakery and told them and asked if we could come and pick up the sandwich. She said that she personally packed the order and that the sandwich was in the bag. We said it was not in there and that it must still be at the restaurant. We asked if we could come back and pick it up and she asked us if we wanted to pick it up that day or another day. We said we needed it for our dinner so we wanted to pick it up within 10 minutes. When I went inside to pick up the sandwich, the girl was still insisting that the sandwich was in the bag. I told her that it wasn't in there. She started questioning me as to how it was ordered and said that they were having trouble with delivery people taking food out of the orders. I told her that I picked up the order and it was missing the sandwich. It was like she wasn't believing me. She was very rude and it made me feel upset. And now I don't want to go back to that location. We have been going here since they opened this location.

This place has really gone downhill, and it used to be a favorite of ours'. Meatball sandwich looked like it was a day old, and had 2 slices of meatball. Pasta dish with sundried tomatoes only had fresh tomatoes. Fruit side looked a day old, and was half full. Chicken noodle soup was just broth with one piece of carrot. Marinara sauce tasted like just stewed tomatoes. Garlic bread seemed a day old too. Really, we had nothing positive to say about our lunch. 2 weeks ago was similar

Food is generally good here my wife likes the salads. But while dining there this past weekend the outside was littered with trash. The staff walked in and out and collected plates but none of the trash on the ground. The staff was attentive but just did not keep the outside dining area clean. This should not be something you have to train staff to do. It 2019 trash on the ground is not cool. It took my wife and I 5 mins to collect it all. No excuses for this corner bakery. Management should be supervising what staff is doing.

I was there in that location last Sunday, Nov. 19. I ordered the salad with some chicken. I was very disappointed and very disgusted at how they served the chicken in my salad. It looked like it was from a left over. It was not nicely cut. It looked disgusting! I told the waitress that in McDonald’s, the chicken in their salad is nicely cut. Presentable. I have the photo to prove it. I would not give them even 1 star. No STAR! 👎👎👎

Poor food handling. An employee put a dirty dish bucket that was sitting over the drain on the floor on top of the counter where the food is picked up. Another employee had gloves on obviously to protect our food not her hands, touching everything with the same gloves never to remove them & put clean ones on. I saw all of this waiting at least 10 min if not longer to even be acknowledged. Online order was wrong & missing items so I had 2 go back again.

If I could give no stars at all, I would. This is the worst Corner Bakery that I’ve ever visited. The girl at the register was brand new with no training. She had no one helping or shadowing her. She got our order wrong 4 times, and kept asking the manager for help, who ignored her. The coffee was lukewarm from the coffee urn, and the food was terrible. My wife had pancakes and bacon. The bacon was still dripping grease, and the pancakes were dry. I had the prime rib panini sandwich, and the beef was dry, the bread had no olive oil or butter put on it before it was put in the panini maker. The bread was dry and stale. I was pouring coffee from the urn, and a girl came to change out the urns. She bumped me twice, and never said excuse me once, so I told her excuse you. Overall terrible experience and I’ll never eat here again.

Can't review the food because the staff were busy filling to-go orders and asked us to wait. We never had a chance to order anything. They said we should use the kiosk, which wasn't working. So we left. Seems like a mismanaged store.

The food definitely taste highly processed, obviously heated from frozen. However the service is great people are friendly It was not the cleanest place I have been, but not horrible either.
