Absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the Garden Pesto and Caprese Gnocchi. Good portions. Very tasty, full of flavor. The crust was so delicious. The staff was very helpful. The place was clean. We have found a new pizza place when heading to the beach!!
The pizza slices were not only delicious but the biggest we’d ever seen. Loved the gnocchi. The calzones and pizzas were great also. The service was actually the best we’ve seen anywhere. You guys did a great job. We definitely will tell everyone to go to Gina’s. Thanks guys!
Gina's pizza is a culinary delight, especially if you want pizza! The Bianca pizza with added pepperonis was a perfect blend of flavors, and the Parmesan fries were a crispy, cheesy delight. Five stars for an unforgettable dining experience!
OMG, for some reason had a pizza craving, a food I usually don't eat. But, hanging out with friends and family, I convinced the others they wanted pizza too 😄. Ordered 2 large crispy this crust. One Xtra pepperoni & Xtra sausage, the 2nd veggies with meatballs, half feta + artichoke+ basil+arugula+ avocado+pepperoni. Now I'm in a food coma. The veggie w meatballs was the one I created. Really good!
👋 Heya - Meee iz a happy camper. 1. Like the Vibe 2. Nice appetizers and menu 3. Happy fun crew 4. Delicious food and check out the portions . . . FYI - it’s a Sports-bar vibe, ie order at the register, paper plates & plastic ware . . .
Best Gina's location!. Used to go to Costa Mesa location until the order mishaps and burnt black pizza. The manager or owner there never offered to make good. The pizza here at Balboa is always delicious, and the staff are so friendly. Awesome customer service.
This pizza is great! The place is small but the food is delicious. The sauce really stands out as a great flavor. Thanks for the great pizza !
Was pretty good, has more than just pizza and a good lunch special
Love Gina's! The best pizza-by-the-slice place in Southern California! By far. They'll make you anything by the slice. And they have giant or regular sized slices. Plus you can get your typical whole pizzas, calzones (also amazing) and other italian restaurant staples: sanwiches, pasta, antipasto, etc.
Pizza was really good. The biggaslice is very very big and it’s tasty. Great place to take visitors
Pizza was amazing. Very cheesy and the sauce was excellent. The toppings were fresh and delicious.
The pizza was great, and the staff was friendly and did an excellent job. We took to go but they have a nice area to eat indoors or outdoors on a patio
1st time here & the pizza was so delicious. One of the best pizzas I've ever had!! Definitely going back when in Newport Beach!!
Amazing Staff Very Friendly. And Of Course The Pizza Was Great. Just My 15th Time Of Just Stopping In For Lunch Before Visiting The Beach From The Inland Empire. See You Next Week✌
Excellent place for a delicious bite of pizza. Couldn't recommend enough. I come here every week and order the same thing. Half godfather and half house special.
If you eat gluten free, like me, this place goes GF right! The rest of the family loved their food too. Jason has amazing service. So friendly!
This place is actually the go to if you want to eat pizza in Newport Beach this is my story so me and my friends we were in newport Beach and we were celebrating our friend's birthday and we were hungry decided to eat pizza so we just walked around for 20 minutes and found this place from the outside it did look like an amazing place and we did expect that the food is going to be on point we went inside looked at the menu and we found this amazing item which is called the big ass slice so what the big ass slice is it's actually a big ass slice of pizza it's a very big ass slice of pizza you can't finish it and it's so freaking delicious definitely recommend this item to anyone who is new in that area
They have one of the best pizzas in town. Service is outstanding! A must!
The Godfather pizza is absolutely coated in tons of toppings. The place is super clean. Awesome food. Highly recommend!
🍕 Gina's has the best pizza 🍕 Their calamari is excellent, too. We've been customers for years. I would highly recommend them.
Nice people. Good food. "Yeah man. Refill all you want. Enjoy." There's an outdoor patio with tables that's blocked off from the street. Kids had fun playing there while we are.
Good pizza. Good atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Nice staff. Nothing better. Definitely worth it.
Great service, great food and really good beers on tap. The garlic cheese bread is 💣. Check out the size of this biggie slice of 🍕!
The pizza quality is fresh and the price isnt too bad considering how close they are to the beach. Nice staff, please don't change a thing!
We stopped here because of the free parking and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious pizza and appetizers! Would definitely come here again!
Great service with great food. Pizzas taste amazing and the veggies are fresh. What more can you ask for.
Good for pizza and drinks. Lots of parking and the staff brings out your food to you. Great people there and they serve alcohol too.
Good slice a pizza for a reasonable price! Extra pepperoni bomb! Happy and will be back when in the mood 🍕 Cool service 😎
Thus place was the best pizza place that I have been to in a while every summer my family comes 9ut here to go to the beach and after we go to the beach we go to Gina's Pizza and they never disappoint we come her at least 1 time every week in the summer. I would really suggest you go here if you got to Newport beach
David is the goat and the pizza is great! He was super accommodating and the customer service was excellent. I would come here everyday just for the him!
Gluten free pie is really good whether your gluten free or not. Wait on a pie is usually 20 min . It’s well worth it. Pricing is very fair. There are several selections on menu according to taste. Regardless no matter what you order it’s all good. Outdoor patio 👍🏻 Great place for the family. I’ve ordered The Godfather because that’s what I’ve been told who I am😜. Located close to the beach on the peninsula. If your in the area definitely stop in⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Manager or the person who took my order was super nice i heard him interacting with other customers after i ordered and he’s just a super positive guy. My pizza came fast. Also i forgot to order canadian bacon on my pizza so i went back and asked him how much more it would be and he said “it’s on me”. This was my first time and experience here and i would go back for sure.
Gina's pizza was a great place to eat after we sent the whole morning at the beach with our preschooler and toddler. We were going to eat esle where but my husband saw it and said hey the kids would love a slice of 🍕. I said yes. We got a medium hawaiian pizza. It was so good. The ham and real pineapple slices. I was surprised to see little beacon bits and thought maybe the kids would not like it, but they loved it. When you walk in, you see the actual dough and how they make it. We sat outside under the shade..there are three large tables all with shade. The kids enjoyed it. I saw the two salads 🥗 the people ordered behinde us and they looked so good. Next time we come we will try the pasta and salad.
Gina’s was an awesome place to eat while we were at the beach! Great location, high quality, and reasonable prices. Great customer service as well. They added one ingredient to a pizza that we didn’t order, so they brought us an extra pizza no charge! Would recommend?
The cashier (tall guy with the beard) was kinda rude but possibly due to it being close to closing. The pizza was so good however. I’m not from the area but a local hotel suggested Gina’s
This is the BEST pizza I have ever had. I have to eat gluten free and you can't tell the pizza is even gluten free! My husband said if we lived in California, he would eat there every week! Excellent food and service!
I picked up a slice of pizza yesterday at Gina's...pepperoni and pineapple...the girl at the counter was so nice and welcoming!! I lived on the East Coast for 17 years and this is the best pizza I've had in CA since then! I'll be coming back to Gina's!!
Had delicious food after a long day of traveling. Pizza was amazing and the meatballs were so good. Owners are wonderful people too.
Awesome pizza and with high quality ingredients. I hadn't been there for a while, decided to give it a try again and was very pleasantly surprised. Way to go!
Service was great and very fast. Food was delicious. We will definitely be stopping back when we are back in California. Pizza slices were big and more then enough. House salad was fresh and delicious
We ordered delivery to the park nearby where our kids were playing and from start to finish customer service was amazing! They were so thoughtful and cut our pizza into kid friendly slices . Also the pizza was DELICIOUS !!! Would definitely recommend, not only for the kind and thoughtful staff but also yummy pizza :-)
Love this spot. Always consitently good from one location to the next. Everything is good, I have never had something I didn't like here. My favorite is the pasta salad add avocado and mozzarella with Ranch. Try it, you will love it too!!
We got a large 1/2 cheese and 1/2 BBQ chicken. We also added an order of the calamari appetizer. Everything was delicious and more than enough for 4 people.
Great place to have a drink and grab a slice. Prices were great and food was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful explaining portions and suggestions on what to order. Will definitely come back and recommend.
Greatly impressed, highly recommend! Was my 1st time visit from a random google search! Pizza was amazing and cooked to perfection! Family generation owned and operated, hands down a MUST when in Newport Beach!
This place has the best pizza!! We are visiting from Kentucky and this is the best restaurant we ate all week. Fast service and amazing food!
Such amazing pizza. My wife doesn’t like pizza the way many people do but she literally said it was the best pizza we’ve ever had anywhere! Anywhere!! Quite a statement. Too bad we don’t live near a Gina’s being in Utah.
Food was amazing everyone tried something different loved all of it. Wings crispy, avocado toast amazing pizza, pasta. We tried it all definitely a family friend place to stop.
this is easily my favorite spot in Newport Beach! every-time we come down here with the family, we all grab Gina's and take it down to the beach for a little picnic. the food is delicious, the service is amazing, and the prices are too good to be true. top it all off, they have some of the best priced beer pitchers in the area! can't wait to stop by this weekend!
Gina's Pizza is a must while in Newport Beach. They offer Great customer service everytime. They have yummy garlic bread, good pizza & pasta! My family & I make it a point to visit, everytime were in Newport.
Ordered online while vacationing. We ordered the gluten free herb crust with pepperoni. Best gluten free pizza we have had to date. They are not that big but make up for it in flavor. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and even offered me a beverage for having to wait for 2 minutes.
Easily the best pizza I've ever had. The sauce has a slight spiciness and the crust is buttery and supports the weight of the slice. Delightful pie. I suggest against the whole pies tho, they are just not the same. The giant slice is the way to go and honestly as large as a single serve pizza (but wayyy cheaper). The staff is always kind and friendly.
I came in at 9:55 pm. I am from out of town and was out for a walk with my wife. He gladly served us although they had started their closing duties. He was amazingly friendly. We got our pizza and it was made with the freshest ingredients. It was piping hot. My wife and I agreed that it was on the top of our list for favorite pizza. Thank you for a great experience and great food!
Wow. Just ordered a large pizza and cheesy garlic bread to be delivered to a hotel. The food arrived in under a half hour. It was piping hot and and the flavor was excellent. The crust was crispy yet “tender.” Best pizza I have ever had! And the cheesy garlic bread... Awesome!
Wow! So good! Quite the pizza place! The food was amazing and well portioned too. Everyone found something they liked and the service was phenomenal! Jason was our server and we couldn't have asked for someone kinder or more attentive to our needs and wants. He deserves a raise! Definitely coming again!
This was my first time coming to any of the locations and I really enjoyed my experience. The place itself was somewhat small but I noticed most people would order for takeout. The location has outdoor seating. We ordered the godfather pizza as well as some chicken Alfredo pasta. The cheesy bread sticks were great. In total, the bill for four people was just over $60 and we think it was worth the price. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
EXCELENTE...tremenda pizza...
One of my favorite places to grab pizza. Thin crust, light sauce, extra cook with ham, pineapple, and jalapeno! Only reason it's not 5 stars is they seem to have 4 IPA's and not enough craft lagers or wheat beers. Can we all decided that IPA's are not good?
Upon eating here we tried the lasagna and an Italian sub. The lasagna was quite tasty, the marina sauce could use a little bit more seasoning. The Italian sub was also pretty good, it was simply spoiled by the oversized and over crisped bread. I was able to eat the sandwich, the roof of my mouth paid the consequences, but other than the and ambiance and decor were quite inviting and the staff very friendly.
We love Gina's. Delicious rasta salad and the pizza is filling (really doughy). Gives a school pizza vibe. This location is by the beach so it's always heavy traffic.
I love the cheese pizza here!!! I lived on 33rd street and used to have lunch there at least once a week. The pizzas are great, really tasty and they serve them on a special plate so it remains crunchy. The guys there are very friendly and nice.
I had a bigga 🍕 slice and ranch dipping sauce. Forgot to take a picture. The crust is done correctly here good and crispy . Good 🥗 also
The pizza was good, I got the bigga slice with artichoke hearts and bacon. While there were lots of artichoke hearts on the pizza, there was almost no bacon. It was perfectly cooked, ready reasonably quickly and the service was the reason I would go back. The guy that took my order was friendly, attentive and seemed like he really liked his job which is a rare thing in the service industry these days. The only reason it's getting 4 stars rather than 5 is the lack of bacon.
A super adequate mid cost pizza, highly recommended for what it is. I personally go for the sausage and mushroom myself and haven't been bummed yet. The ricotta balls are also pretty good as an app. The secret move is their party pizza which can feed like 10-20 people saved a number of parties for me. Have fun!
Great pizza. Some unique flavors as well as the classics. Order more than you think as it will be devoured. We went with a group after the beach. It was cool and we were hoping for the heaters to work on the patio, as it was the best space to seat our group. Heaters didn't work, so if it's cool bring jackets if you eat outside. Umbrellas were there for the sun during the day.
Their happy hour pricing online is incorrect. It is $8.99 for the BiggaSlice + Beer combo. When I asked if they would substitute a glass of wine for the beer, I was told no. I ordered the bbq chicken Biggaslice and it came out to $10.17 without tip (and also just the slice, no combo). The chicken was either over cooked or very old and therefore extremely dry and chewy. The dryness of the chicken was visibly apparent. Also, their menu at the restaurant does not have prices which is not convenient at all. You should know the price of what you're ordering. I order from here often since it's convenient but there are better places to get pizza/pasta.
ordered 2 pepperoni slices to get home and find out they were mediocre cheese. Garden salad was nice. overall, we were not impressed to ever go back..
Ordered the ravioli special took almost 30min to get my food. It was blah once I got it not a recommendation unless you want mediocre pasta. Pizza had grease dripping off of it.
We really used to like this place. Atmosphere cute. Hard benches, but fun. They started to put we call kibble on the pizza. We love real sausage, and sadly it’s gone. Wish they’d get it back.
Picked up three pizzas to eat at Beach House. Thick dough, hand tossed type pizza was good if that's your preference. I would not order it again. Just ok.
Pizza is OK. Our pepperoni pizza was VERY salty. Location is ideal for ordering a pie and bringing it to the beach. So even though the pizza wasn't great, if I was in the area and needed a pizza, it would be fine.
Pizza was okay, not bad but nothing special. The service was good, staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would not pass this ace up if you are looking for a slice of pizza while you are at the beach.
The Service was great, but the pizza was just okay! Did not like the crust, and overall taste was just okay! I was told this was some of the best pizza, but not to me! I like New York style and this definitely isn’t that!
Meh! It took 45 minutes to get a medium Maui Momma pizza to go. Saw several other people who ordered to eat in and I could tell they weren’t happy either. Pizza was good, but waiting 45 minutes was way too slow.
Was at a late night event and this was one of the only places open. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich. It was unbearably dry. My fiancee loved her Cesar salad however. Didn't get a chance to try the pizza but viewing other people's it looks pretty run of the mill, but I won't judge. We also had the ricotta balls which were pretty good but not for $9. They only reason in giving three stars is because they wonderful waitress who had a broken wrist was super attentive. My suggestion to this restaurant is not being lazy. Start homemaking more items.
Meh, I’ve had better pizza to be honest. Cruisers pizza down the street and also the NY slice pizza place at the balboa fun zone has better pizza than this place. The sauce and pepperoni were good. Don’t get the mushrooms, tasted like they were canned mushrooms, not even fresh. Honestly, this place is way too hyped up and does not meet expectations. Would not recommend.
Eh I don’t get it honestly, pizza is pizza I guess but it wasn’t great just ok, crust was too thick for me, it reminded me of rising crust frozen pizza, in a good way, the biggest issue was that it cost $25 for a medium pizza, definitely not worth the price, it would be at least three stars if the price was more reasonable for what it is. I feel bad if this is the “best pizza you’ve ever had.”
Unfriendly service, unhappy workers. Unhelpful. Cute place. All flash. Little substance. Chicken pizza dry chicken. Overpriced for everything. Wont go back. Salty fried calamari. All edible but not worth the high prices.
Ginas pizza has increasing gone down hill since the disappearance of steve. He was a hard working man who always put the extra effort into the food that went in and out the kitchen. The chicken Alfredo was very water like and the chicken had little to no taste. The chicken was very rubbery. Don’t want to be that guy but the food was very disappointing...
Love the food but I gotta say, they are slacking in the keeping up the place in top shape department, the table tops I think are original when this place opened up over 5 years ago cause they have a layer of stickiness that water alone can't clean. You might just want to order to go.
I love this place when the have the right ingredients. The French fries seem to change every time we order them. Also we’ve ordered regular crust twice now and received thin crust. Don’t try to order through third party apps either. Their menu is incomplete and they give you thin crust no matter what you order.
When I saw the prices, I had pretty high hopes for this pizza shop across the street from my vacation rental in Newport Beach, but.... This was literally the worst pizza I've ever been served. Little Ceasers is bad, but at least I can pick it up and eat it. The thin crust was so thin it was almost non existent. There was no crisp to the crust, or the "crisp" bacon. Both were incredibly soggy. The pictures included were taken after soaking an equal number of paper towels completely. It was impossible to even pick up a slice (see photos), even after soaking it up and letting it sit. What a mess! And, after rolling it up in a ball and eating a couple slices because I was really hungry, it didn't taste great either. For $32 + for a medium pizza, I'm pretty disappointed. This was such a bad experience that I'm not considering giving them another shot. I'm just going to chalk this one up to an expensive mistake. It wasn't ready in the 30 minutes quoted, so I had to wait another 6, but the guy at the register was nice when I picked it up. The restaurant was clean inside, but who cares? I'd rather a dingy hole in the wall with good food than something I can't even eat.
Not recommended! I came to this Gina's Pizza at 3142 W Balboa Blvd, Newport Beach, CA 92663 to test their slices pizza and french fries. I wanted to try french fries and one thin pepperoni pizza slice with toppings mushroom and green pepper. But the waiter suggested Gina's House pizza slice. As I got my order and open the pizza box, the box/pizza slice was up side down. The white box hadn't any sign showing kind of, "this side up". I also became very disappointed as the pizza slice was very thick, very hard and very dry and had also onion in which I don't like in pizza. One of the toppings tasted also kind of bad/old too. The pizza slice wasn't fresh and might been made in advanced and warmed up upon serving. Very bad!! The cheese on the pizza didn't stretch (sign of low quality/cheap mozzarella cheese with high acidity and low PH rather than low acidity and high PH). The french fries were ok and crispy but very greasy/oily. Total price I paid: $11.30 Total score: Not recommended! Here are some photos taken by me.
Bad customer service! Came in as a party of 7. Two different orders. I Ordered 3 pieces of pizzas and one came out extremely late. Everyone was already done eating. I had to ask twice why it was taking so long.. with no reason why one of the pizzas were missing. As we watched other people get their slice. Alexa noticed a whole pepperoni pizza came out and asked her co worker if he wanted to cut it for our slice. He just put it in a box to the side. Now we had to wait even longer so they can make my sons bigga slice of pizza. When I asked "Alexa" why she had no explanation and just walked away. Sadly it took even longer for my son to get to eat since the pizza was so HOT when it finally came out. On the way home my son told me he found a hair on the pizza! He didn't want to make a big deal about it. So unacceptable, very disappointed. The pizza that came out on time wasn't bad, but the service was terrible. Also the garlic aioli fries were not very good... just drenched in oil.
Decided to try something new & what a waste. Don’t bother. Not only was this how my pizza for take out was given to me but there was a hair on it. Didn’t notice till I was already on the road. Beyond disappointed.
Would give zero stars if it let me. Just awful pizza..dough was raw and gummy. Chuck e cheese has better pizza. Took a slice each and offered it to a homeless man and he didn't even want to take it. Save your money!
I hate leaving a rough review, and I’ll change this review as soon as I see changes. Last night in CA with my 16 year old girl, she wants a pizza and spaghetti so we drop in at 8:10 and drop $50. By 8:30 they were sweeping and every chair was turned upside down as we enjoyed our late dinner. My son goes to the restroom to wash his hands at 8:50 and the lights are cut on him in the bathroom. At 8:56 the lights at Gina’s turn off. As we leave at 9:01 a young gal yells, “have a good night.” Yea, ok.
While at the beach I called Gina’s to see if we needed a reservation. I was told it was 1st come, 1st serve. I’ve been to Gina’s several times over the last few years & typically enjoy their food. Truthfully, the food is reliably good. We tried to go today & they have outside seating - great since the family worked up at appetite at the beach. I was told again it was first come first serve & two tables were close to leaving. My family & I waited outside the front door, waiting for one of the two parties to leave. After 10 minutes two gals at the table big enough to seat 6 people, got up to leave. Two young guys walked out of the restaurant (they arrived after us) with soft drinks, entered the outdoor eating area & sat down at the table. I walked back inside & approached the front counter. I said it looks like those guys just sat at the table we were next in line for. The guy (Mgr?) said they’re “hands off” on stuff like this due to “Covid”. Seriously? We left & went down the road for lunch. Six people, lunch with sides, alcohol, & soft drinks, ... $155 + a $40 tip because the service was excellent. Bad move Gina’s. Your customer service sucks.
Walked 15 minutes to Gina's for a slice of pizza, then wait in line another 10 minutes. Some guy behind the counter then yells rudely that they're not taking any further pizza orders because they're behind, there was only one other group in line with us at the time. Thought maybe they could have cut off phone orders, not the people who had already walked to the business and had been waiting in line. Was a weird and awkward encounter, friendly staff is the key to small business. We are just one family, but I won't be going here again, don't take your lack of organization out on your customers. It's a Monday, get it together.
I hate to do this because I grew up going to Gina's pizza but WoW I just had it at the 32nd street location and to say I was disappointed is such an understatement the food quality has .went to shhhh the slices were horrible the chicken Parm strips over cooked I honestly have no clue what's they did or. Why but I will no longer be going there which is truly sad not to mention it's now way over priced again it's truly sucks but its the truth ...
Poor service. They hung up on me three times because they didn’t want to answer my 2 questions during busy time. They admitted to that fact on the 4th call!! It was a lady with no time to waste on 2 questions. Go to Laventina’s pizza instead. Excellent prices and great pizza. And best of all, they won’t hang up on you!
We waited 1 hour for our order. We ordered 2 large pizzas, an order of chicken wings and a family salad. The pizzas were not what we ordered. We thought of taking them back for an exchange but the initial wait was overwhelming long. Sorry Gina’s Pizza 👎👎👎👎👎
