I honestly dont understand how this isnt 5 star, i dont live in Santa ana but i will definitely make my way down there strictly to eat at Las Cazuelas . The salsa will put fire to your tongue plus the food is very good!
First of all, the service here is 5-stars. Come here and make this place your local stop because you will leave here feeling like family. Secondly, the carnitas is one of their top dishes. 80% of the time, it slaps. The other 20% of the time, it’s still great. If you get nothing else, get that. Also their tacos are LOADED. And the Chile relleno is bomb. They no longer do the stews. And their Sunday brunch is on a whim, so call ahead. The bathrooms are older but they are *clean*. Come here and watch the NFL.
A small restaurant with a home like feel. It's staff are above friendly. Felt like a celebrity. The food is really, really (Zoolander accent inserted)good. I had the shrimp cocktail. One of my faves and it didn't disappoint. Our whole group enjoyed their meals. They serve pupusas and other great dishes like chili con verde.
Im late on this review but so be it, I called about a month ago to order a caldo de pollo, because a loved one was sick and they were closed already. The owner(i believe) decided to reopen and make the soup for me. It meant a great deal to me and I was happy to be able to support local business. Muchas gracias, gives me faith in humanity and we need more people like you ❤️
The food is delicious and the salsa was chefs kiss!!! The service was on point. I'll be back for sure
I encounter this as I was looking for another while vacationing in California and it was the best experience I’ve had while here. I rarely give reviews and this place deserves it, praises all around from the food to the service. This whole in the wall restaurant had the best food, so fresh so delicious. I will make sure to make this a must return to.
The food tasted like my abuelitas! I can testify it really is authentic Mexican food. The bill was great. Not expensive. I would say typically whate and my husband would pay at a Rubios, or pollo loco. We are thrilled to have found this restaurant.
Heard about this place and decided to come here with my girlfriend. The service was beyond phenomenal. It’s a place where you should come and enjoy the quality time with your family and friends as they take time to cook your food. With that being said the wait is worth it. The presentation of the food was spot on and it taste amazing. I definitely recommend this place.
I came in about a month ago, for the first time, with a friend. Everything that we tried was absolutely deliscious and we had wonderful experience overall. I have been telling my husband about Las Cazuelas and tonight he agreed to go. And again, every item that we had was fantastic and we felt so welcome. We appreciate that you put "the love" into every ingredient. We are so happy to have discovered this gem. We will definitely be coming back on the regular :)
Was in town for a conference and a friend looked for a place to eat. We ended up here, and I was not sure what to think at first when walking in. Can I just say it was the best Mexican food I have ever tasted! The chips and salsa were amazing. The cheese enchilada had the best flavor and the rice😋I would recommend this place to anyone!!
The Mole is the real things!!! Every plate was delicious. So one had told me about it on the plane. Which my sister had mentioned it as well.. very clean and service is great. Staff and Manager are unbelievable friendly. In door and outside sitting. We went about noon time. If you have to wait for a table, it's worth it. The tortillas mmmm.....we also ordered trays of food for a gathering the next day..worth it..no pictures this time but when I go ...I will take...I couldn't wait to eat this day..
Nice clean interior with plenty of room between tables. Friendly and knowledgeable greeter-waiter-Manager. I recommend the House Specialty, the Acapulco Shrimp. Lots of Shrimp wrapped individually in bacon. It takes a bit to prepare the dish, so order some appetizers or dip, while it is prepared. The Manager gave us a free sample of the house "Mole" and disclosed it was made from scratch, no shortcuts. It had some Chile flavor and really good. We talked a bit, when he came over to our table to let us know about his week end Menu and his Mole Sauce. Very knowledgeable on their Specialties. After our meal, we strolled outside to see the local murals on the Building Walls. I definitely would come again to try the other House Specialties.
Under new ownership, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. It's a down-home kind of place. Our server is the nephew of the new owner. Both are very friendly gentlemen. The food was very tasty. My wife had two spinach and mushroom enchiladas; I had a chicken tamal and crispy taco. Both were accompanied by rice and beans. Prices are reasonable. A lovely flan for dessert. We would definitely return.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant (not Tex Mex or Mexican American). It has an impressive menu and a great selection of Mexican bottled beer. Don't let the lack of decor stop you. The food, the service and the prices are all good.

They ran out of menudo and caldo de res. For some reason several of our orders were very late. The food was okay though. The tortas are better than the wet burritos. The best food was their homemade corn tortillas which were large and delicious. The chips weren't that fresh. The salsa was spicy and we liked it.

The service was underwhelming. Although the restaurant was not busy, the servers appeared distracted and our food took longer than expected to arrive. I had requested the kids’ meal right away, but it was served with the rest of the order. The food quality was average overall — the meat was tough — but the portions were generous.

Seated quickly, but waitresses didn't bother to ask for our orders or give menus until they tended to 2 other groups showed up after us. Waited for 15 minutes for food and they forgot one meal. Didn't seem like anyone wanted give our group the same amount of attention as the other groups.

really overpriced for the amount of generic mexican food we received. fish tacos ($5 each) were the size of typical street tacos, and the rice, bean, and chorizo burrito ($16) was disappointing. i think the tiny pile of lettuce was there to make the plate more “gourmet” in an attempt to justify the ridiculous price. we were also charged nearly $12 for two regular sized cups of basic lemonade and agua de guayaba that would cost AT MOST $6 anywhere else. there were some ants and a small bug flying around while we ate as well, but at least the service was alright. wouldnt reccomend the place otherwise, just visit one of the various taco trucks in the area. im sure youd be able to get much more food for much less.

I did a take out. I had my pup in my vehicle. Customer service was great but when I got home and I saw what cost me $27.00, I was disappointed. I ordered Camarones a la diabla and a Jamaica drink. Not worth $27.00. Over priced and the portions were so small. I’m not kidding the salad was a pinch 🤏 of salad 🥗. The tortillas are handmade so that’s good but the portions are not worth a total of $27. I’ll continue to go to Calamar where it is worth $20 or so for shrimp.
