Excellent customer service and delicious food 🤤 this place never disappoints me, I love how fresh the veggies are.
Great food! the bread is nice and soft/airy the inside of my mouth does not suffer (unlike lee's sandwiches, sorry lee's). I also got their lemonade which was great! I got the #2 pork sandwich. Give it a try you wont be disappointed!
The best Banh mi in OC. The bread is the perfect size and crispy crust. Grilled pork is juicy and veggies are in proportion to the meat to still make it refreshing and filling. It’a our family favorite.
There's nothing BAD that I can say about this place it's always busy . the food is always good the Bon Me sandwiches are 😋 I had the shrimp Banh me also tried the barbecued pork or grilled pork Banh me fresh baguettes are always good toO .drinks are great. Vietnamese coffee is always good and ON point I'V never had a bad experience here I would definitely recommend it to anybody that's looking for a little something for lunch power expected line periodically from now and then
Delicious babequed pork ban mi. They move the orders rapidly.
Ordered a special combo sandwich and Viet coffee. There was too much of the pickled veggies on my sandwich for my liking but I just picked some of it off. I like their glass window display. I overheard another costumer order an orange juice saw through the glass that it was freshly squeezed. Their Vietnamese coffee is strong, tasty and affordable.
My favorite Banh-Mi place in the OC, and thats saying alot since this place is down the freeway from Little Saigon. The prices here are reasonable and come with a quality goods to support their claims as being one of the best in the OC. Service here is almost always exceptional. I have had my order mistaken as I was ordering a Dac Biet Banh Mi and they mistakenly thought I wanted a Fried Shrimp Banh Mi. They were a little bit complicating to deal with since they did not want to give me a refund, but it was eventually fixed when the cashier who took my order realized the mistake. I have tried other things like the pre-made goods on the side, their Vermicelli noodles, Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, and meat pies and they were all so delicious. Their drinks are also great, but I always just end up going next door for a drink instead of here.
Excellent food. Love the sanwiches and tofu plates. Tables are not always totally clean, You order and pick up your food and eat there or take out.
Consistently good. Try grilled pork with egg, but please leave some of the fried eggs for me. Just wait in line for 20 min and say, "Number two with pate"
My Five-Star Recommendation: I would order the chicken sandwich. The chicken banh mi sandwiches are really tasty! The French bread is good too! You should also ask for the side of extra mayonnaise, as it goes very well with the sandwich itself. I would highly recommend checking this place out!
My favorite place to get sandwiches! The bread always has the perfect amount of crispness on the outside, and is soft on the inside. I usually go for the number 3, which is the shredded grilled chicken sandwich. The flavors from the carrots, cucumber, cilantro, and pepper add so much to the sandwich. Highly recommend!
Love the food it's so fresh and healthy
The food here is fresh and you can call it in, and it is ready for pick up. Their bread is some of the best I've ever had. The Vietnamese coffee is excellent too...be sure to sip it slowly, it packs a punch! Their spring rolls are also really good. I think this place is excellent, and I am so thrilled it is in Tustin. I just wished they were open later! I am not Vietnamese, so I know nothing of their authenticity, I just know it is healthy food, made to order.
Our favorite place to grab a banh mi and spring rolls! The boba drinks are great too. It’s always very fresh and flavorful, and the bread is SO GOOD. I take every chance I get to stop in whenever I’m in the area!
I'm not an expert at Vietnamese food, but I know what I like, and I like their stuff. The banh mi are always fresh and tasty and full of ingredients. All the various summer rolls are so good.
A must go! This place is a gem in a jam pack parking lot but worth the stress! They have so many delicious options and they're all so good. If it's your first time don't worry, the cashiers are very helpful & friendly. Everything is so reasonable priced! Give it a try it won't disappoint!
It is absolutely delicious! ... & yes a lot more flavorful and fresher then Lee's. Was planning to have lunch with fiancée and we both wanted Lee's coffee. Unfortunately I couldn't find one between his and my work place. In the process of looking for another Vietnamese coffee I found this one THH! Saw the ratings and comment and gave it a go! We are definitely not disappointed. If anything a few coment were correct. The bread is crispy outside, soft and fluffy inside! The chicken had a nice sear and tasty dressing. The veggies were fresh, crispy and pickled! The coffee is uniquely delicious, less sweet then Lee's and has a nutty hint to it! Love it.
This place never disappoints! We love the egg rolls - so hot, crispy and delicious! Not the authentic kind w thin skin but good for fast food. We usually get these w the sandwiches, especially the ham/pate and a grilled pork. They don't charge customers sales tax! Sine it's like fast food that's a big savings up to 25% over going to a restaurant. But don't be fooled, this place has quality tasty food every bit as good as a favorite restaurant ! Today I had the egg noodle soup for the first time- and it was really good! We eat a lot in little Saigon so we are used to great tasting broth and this was just as nice, flavorful and just right. They serve hot menu items nice n hot and the Chasu was all meat- no fat!!! This is not something you get from any Vietnamese restaurant we go to. Free refills on jasmine ice tea. And it's so clean and new, they pay attention to aesthetics. I think they must cater to Caucasians as well. The ice coffee is also great! Strong with a good kick, definitely above average. They open at 5am so when we go out of town we swing by to get travel food. But they close early so be aware. I highly recommend this awesome place!
We love the grilled pork sandwich! The baguette is soft compared to other places. We love the vietnamese coffee which is a must when you go here.
SENSATIONAL VALUE ! It doesn't have to be fancy to be great and who doesn't love a well made BANH MI Sandwich ! My wife and I headed straight here on Saturday after our visit to the Irvine Farmers Market. While my wife parked our wheels I headed inside around 12.30pm to order our lunch. THE JOINT WAS SLAMMED ! And that is because the food here..at least everything we have tried on our many lunch visits is really good and priced to please. My wife arrived and nabbed a couple of barstools at the high counter top at the back while I stood in line. My turn came pretty quickly and I ordered 1 x THAI ICED TEA, 2 x ICED WATERS, 1 x GRILLED PORK BANH MI Sandwich, 1 x FRIED SHRIMP BANH MI Sandwich. I paid and received my numbered receipt. A worker in the open front kitchen will call out our number when our lunch order is ready. We are always amazed at how quick they are able to get the food out. It didn't take too long and I picked up our iced waters and Thai Iced Tea followed soon after by our neatly wrapped Banh Mi Sandwiches. TOO EASY ! All this for under $20. My wife loved her delicious Grilled Pork Banh Mi Sandwich made on a freshly baked pillowy soft baguette. This was my first time trying the Fried Shrimp Banh Mi Sandwich...again on a freshly baked pillowy soft baguette. It tasted great but I think I prefer the grilled pork version. TOP SPOT !
TTH always has great take out & catering food with excellent service. Karen is exceptionally good. I called to order some catering food in advance for a potluck. She explains very well in details about the different sizes & prices of my order. She also processes the payment & provides a receipt via text before hang up. She’s courteous & pleasant to talk with. 👍
You might not think of this place as a breakfast joint. But they open At 5am serving fresh steam rice roll and bread. Try their Vietnamese coffee with them for something different. Their meat filled pastry are nice for breakfast too. Lunch time this place can be quite busy. I like their sandwich much better than Lee's because better bread make better sandwich. They have nice crust but soft center. I usually buy an extra loft to take home. FYI it is a sandwich shop so get for pho somewhere else.
Best deal on sandwich and Vietnamese food. Love everything here. Get here before the lunch rush!
I live in Covina and come all the way here to buy their "banh mi" sandwiches. That tells you how good their sandwiches must be! THH's Vietnamese sandwiches are simply the best. Get the special! You won't be disappointed and will come back for more. They also have vegetarian sandwiches. Excellent as well! Services are great and organized. Unless some other Vietnamese sandwich shop.
Love this place. Where else can you get a good chicken curry at 7am? The sandwiches are fresh and delicious. The bread they use is so fresh you may have to slap it. I guess the coffee is really good here. Everybody walks out with one. May have to try one to see what the fuss is all about!
My go-to sandwich place. Perfect for a fast lunch of high quality Vietnamese food and coffee. Order ahead, then just stand in line to pay for your order. Way better than Lee sandwiches in terms of meat quality and baguette softness. The puff pastries have different meats and are always served warm. Various spring rolls and rice paper plates ready to go on the counter as well. They do catering as well. The staff is very friendly and even if the checkout line is long, it goes by quick. Must try!
solid sandwich, number 2 is good and not too expensive, highly recommend getting the peanut sauce and putting that on it, really good. personally not a big fan of the vietnamese iced coffee but it wasn't bad. egg rolls were alright.
Great sandwiches and great egg rolls. I let the sandwich sit for a bit so all the flavors fuse. Pork sandwich is the best. Iced coffee is always popular very sweet very strong.
This place is outstanding! I come here very frequently 3 to 6 times a month. I used to get the steak sandwich with an egg added. Then they added the fried shrimp sandwich to the menu and it is fantastic! Some people have complained about the service but I have never had a problem but it is frequently busy and especially the shrimp takes a longer time but I know that going in. The Viet iced coffee is also very good but a little bit different I think they use more hazelnut flavoring than most places.
So glad to find reasonably priced banh mi sandwiches not far from home AND the convenience of ordering through their app. I placed my order for pickup around 1pm and the service was quick and friendly. I had arrived a little earlier than my scheduled pick up time, but I ended up using that time to pick up some things in store. They had chicken pate chaud, so I grabbed three of those with my to-go order and proceeded to make mental notes on what to grab for my next visit, lol. I let the cashier know that I was there for pickup too so she went to check on my order. The team was finishing up as I wrapped at the register, so it was ready within 5 minutes of being there. Once I brought them home, I couldn't resist on trying a bite. The bread is so soft and does not cut up your mouth. Even when toasted in the oven, I suffered no pain other then the slight heat from the jalapeño slices. The toppings are super plentiful as well with pickled daikon/carrots, cilantro, jalapeño and cucumber. Looks like I'll be frequenting this location more often. They have banh cuon, various types of spring rolls and other traditional Vietnamese dishes that are not easily accessible close to home.
TOTALLY DELICIOUS LUNCH ! My wife and I love Vietnamese food but sadly there is nothing anywhere near us in Solana Beach. But it's a different story in Irvine with quality Vietnamese eateries everywhere. We were up this way most of Saturday checking out stuff. It had to be a late lunch and we chose this place because they featured BANH MI SANDWICHES...our fav. We pulled up in the parking lot at 2.10pm and headed straight in. Mmmm...very neat well presented interior layout. I figured straight away these guys must have a number of locations. AND I WAS RIGHT ! They have 6. We lined up to place our lunch order at the cashier counter. A young female cashier wearing a mask ( as were all the staff ) helped us with....1 x GRILLED PORK BANH MI & I X FRIED SHRIMP BANH MI. We asked for cups of water and the cashier offered us iced waters. THANK YOU ! All their Banh Mi sandwiches are served on a freshly baked Baguette topped with pate, mayo, touch of soy sauce, shredded pickled carrots, daikon radishes, fresh cilantro, crispy cucumber and thinly sliced jalapeños. We both used the bathroom after getting the code off the cashier.....nice clean bathroom ! There wasn't a real lot of seating inside.....it looked like they were in transition mode with their indoor seating. There were a few barstools lining the window countertop facing the parking lot. We nailed 2 of those. Within a few short minutes our number was called and I was handed our wrapped lunch orders by the guy in the prep area. When we unwrapped our Banh Mi Sandwiches we could see there was no shortage of fresh fillings. My wife's Fried Shrimp Banh Mi Sandwich looked incredible...literally bulging with succulent fried shrimp. OUR VERY FRESH & SOFT BAGUETTES made everything taste even better. SO GOOD ! My wife loved her Fried Shrimp Banh Mi Sandwich so much...I have never seen her demolish a sandwich that big. To say we were impressed with our scrumptious lunch would be an understatement. Fast helpful service, delicious ingredients inside a pillowy soft fresh baked baguette and sensational value. BRING IT ON !
Absolutely love the food from here. The Vietnamese Ice coffee is a good drink if you want to stay up all day!
Hands down the number one Vietnamese sandwich and food counter. Perfect bread, high quality meat, and great recipes. Service is always on point, and you can't beat a foot long sandwich for $3.65. I love that you can see them make it right in front of you. I also usually get their banh cuon aka steamed ice flour sheets. So fresh and tender! If you like banh mis and Vietnamese food, this could be your new favorite place.
Great Vietnamese sandwiches and coffee. My favorite dessert is the Banh Bo
I love this restaurant. They have the best banh mi pork sandwiches, and at a really reasonable price. I also love their shrimp cold rolls. They can get really busy, so we always order online like 15-20 minutes before we get there and it is usually ready when we arrive.
Fast service, great food, great value for your money. They Are always crowded during peak hours but they serve really fast. All their sandwiches are really good! Their baguettes are warm crispy and ALWAYS fresh. Their rice porridge soup and noodle soups (pho) are also to die for. Every morning and lunch time you can get shrimp fried rice and spring rolls over the counter. There is literally nothing in this restaurant that I do not like. Very highly recommended!
Food: I've been coming here for a couple of years now and the food has always been fresh. I don't eat certain types of meat and they have been accommodating in leaving it out of my dish as requested. Service: I normally go there in the morning and the young lady at the cash register has been fast and very nice. Parking: I have not had problem finding parking even though it can get crowded in the morning.
This is my favorite place in OC to eat Banh Mi, their egg rolls are also very good. Prices are pretty affordable as well. Be aware at lunch time it can take a while to get your food. But for me it's worth the wait.
The bahn mi sandwiches are always tasty. Wish they stayed open later in the evening.
The food and drinks were excellent. We ordered the fried shrimp banh mi, the lemongrass beef banh mi, the beef stew, Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea. All of it was delicious, especially the beef stew. Good portions and the price is unbeatable as well. Parking was easy and the line moved fast. If I lived close to here, I’d be here everyday.
Inexpensive and good. The green jelly-like bread dessert is great as well as the sandwiches and the porridge. Great restaurant that's closer than driving to Westminster or Garden Grove. The pork pastries and egg rolls were also delicious. I don’t really like the sandwiches. The bread is kind of the weak part. The spring rolls are good.
Came in to try the Banh Mi, and definitely was not disappointed! Very generous size for the price. Amazing prices here overall, which is a big plus! No loss of quality as a result. The spring rolls here are also very good for the price and portions, so I highly recommend it. I will definitely be coming back in the future, and I imagine it will continue to be as good as it was last time. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for some good Vietnamese eats.
I’ve been coming to THH Sandwiches for years — honestly, I’ve lost count. This place is a hidden gem! The bánh mì is always fresh, packed with flavor, and perfectly balanced. You can taste the quality in every bite. The staff is fast, friendly, and consistent, and the prices are super reasonable. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or picking up for the family, this spot never disappoints. Easily one of the best Vietnamese sandwich shops in Orange County!
Wanted to find a good banh mi place, this did not disappoint. Seems like there are several locations in the surrounding area. Had combo, lemongrass beef and grilled chicken sandwiches. Lemongrass beef was the best! the bread is soft and amazing. Price was fair. We’d be back if in the area.
I stopped by this place yesterday to pick up an online order for my cousin baby birthday party. The order was put in the day before for pickup. She ordered the Tom ran muoi (shrimp), com chieng cuong Chau (house fried rice), mi xao ga Tom chow Mein with shrimp) and cha gio (egg rolls). When I arrived to pickup the food, I was able to get the spot right in front of the place but the parking is limited here. I check in at the pick up area and showed them the order which they were still preparing. So I went to use the bathroom first which you need a code to use. The place already had people waiting for their food but they seem popular. I got two big trays which were the fried rice and chow Mein. The other items were in a brown plastic bag. My favorite was the fried rice and egg rolls. The shrimp chow Mein needed some Sriracha which they didn't have there but a lot of people like the shrimp with tail.
Lately, I’ve been on a bit of a bánh mì kick, and after hearing great things about THH, I decided to stop by for lunch. It was so good that I found myself back there the same day—just 10 minutes before closing—to grab another sandwich! One of the things I love about this spot is getting to watch the staff assemble each sandwich with fresh ingredients. The crisp veggies perfectly balance the cold cuts, creating a sandwich that’s light yet filling. Because it’s such a popular spot, there was about a 10-minute wait, but nothing too crazy. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Great food at an unbelievably affordable price in this economy. The best banh mi ive had in socal and for the cheapest ive had in a while. When I got i get an extra to just bring home and have later. Gets a little busy with limited seating so treat this place as more of a takeout style!
$7 for a flavorful and high quality banh mi that gets you full. Grilled pork is served hot and contrasts nicely with the crisp and cool veggies. The baguette also has a nice crunch and tastes fresh. Line gets fairly busy around lunch time but it moves. They accidentally missed one of our sandwiches but were kind and quick to resolve the issue. Seating can fill up but you can find most likely find somewhere to sit.
I love the Bahn Mi sandwiches here at THH!! I have been coming over to this location in Tustin now for about 4-5 years. I only now am getting around to dropping a review and letting the people know how much I enjoy this establishment. Super fresh tasting, very delicious, and healthy. My favorite sandwich is the number 17 Sweet and Spicy fried chicken sandwich Bahn Mi. It's just awesome!! Totally my Jam baby!! Plenty of crunchy sweet and spicy chicken, daikon, carrots, cilantro and thinly sliced jalapenos. Yum yum yum!! All the other usually delicious treats to go as well like egg rolls, dumplings, sweet rice, and my favorite desert bread Pandan!! Their Pandan is always really good! Just a heads up, the parking lot is rather narrow and depending on time of the day, the flow of cars from the street and into the lot can get a little congested. Nothing too major. Go by and enjoy their sandwiches!!
I was craving for Banh Mi sandwich and found this place that had good reviews and all the foods looked good. I got a grilled pork sandwich that was very delicious for my taste. It was not overly seasoned or over cooked. The baguette was perfectly baked as it’s crusty (not too hard) outside, but soft inside. It’s only $7.75 for the good portion of sandwich. I only wish it could cut pieces to easy to eat. You might get a service charge if you pay by a credit card for less than $10. The parking is kinda small in the shopping center that gets crowded easily. I probably come back again for the sandwich and try other menus next time.
Excellent spot for lunch! We picked up the grilled pork banh mi with extra meat and they were delicious. The bread had a nice crunch to it on the outside, but very soft inside. Service was quick considering how busy they were inside. The line moved fairly fast. I’ll be back again and try some of their cold coffees as well.
Such a great spot to get a classic banh mi. Service is quick and the potions are huge for such cheap prices. The ingredients are super fresh. The bread they used was the best part for me. Would give the banh mi a 4. Also had the pork spring rolls and I’d rate them a 3.5. Lastly, I had the jasmine mango tea and I’d highly recommend trying that. 4 stars for sure on the drink. Will be back again!
I've been coming to THH for about 6 months. Their banh mi and egg rolls are really good. I've also tried their fried noodles with broccoli and shrimp, which was very bland; we ordered it for a company party and no one liked it. Stick to the banh mi and egg rolls! Viet coffee is good as well. If coming during lunchtime rush, call in your order ahead of time and pick up.
Great clean food and service. Prices are reasonable and you don't have to go to Westminster or Garden Grove to get great Vietnamese sandwiches (Banh Mi) as well as other dishes. Their egg rolls are good as well as the special drinks and smoothies.
Quick good lunch. Egg rolls are yummy. Sandwich is somewhat pricey but taste decent. The porridge is actually pretty good. Not a fan of the noddles soup options.
Tried their grilled pork bahnmi, I was surprised by how buttery their bread is, wish it was warm though, overall I wouldn’t drive a long way to get it, the bahnmi cost like 7.25 which was a dollar more than what I was expecting for a bahn mi
There's sandwiches are decent there are little cheap with them The thing that stands out the most they're super rude..
I love this place. The food is delicious and everyone is usually nice. The only issue I've had is that my order gets messed up sometimes, but I've learned that you have to make sure you're being specific when you first place the order. I still come back, though. The prices are fair, and i love their Vietnamese coffee, too. I highly recommend it.
Not as many beef or chicken options but it you like pork pretty great! The bread is really good too.
I love the Bahnmi sandwiches here. It can definitely get busy especially during meal time but service is typically quick. Sometimes certain food items are sold out in the afternoon so I’d definitely suggest to go early to have a full menu selection. You can also order ahead on their app. Although I’m not sure if it’s because they just started their app but the app menu selection is limited. Side note: They actually included a free face mask in my order yesterday.
They gave me made my sandwich wrong, I bought grilled pork and added eggs, somehow I got spam and egg. I did not know still I went back home. Also, I asked no pickles but they put full pickles in that sandwich. The number they called to pick up sandwich is match with my receipt and in that time just 3 customers. So, that’s disappointing me a lot.
Love this place, been going here for years. The only feedback I would give is the bread for the banh mi is very hard and dry sometimes to the point where it’s crumbling falling apart and cuts the top of your mouth when biting into the sandwich. Otherwise great service and good food.
Thr dac biêt bahn mi was delicious, with paté, char siu, meat loaf slices in a freshly in store baked crusty baguette loaded with pickled carrots & daikon, cucumber sticks cilantro amd jalepeno slices ( I passed on the onions). The sandwich was light on the paté. It was a light smear rather than a spread. Overall pretty good for $6.25. The Chinese donut was dense and chewy, diffetent from the kind I prefer. Their production system is clean, efficient with a large menu. I would recommend this place for sandwiches and would return. Take out only for now.
My favorite place for Vegetarian Banh Mi. They have 2 choices for vegetarian banh mi - vegetarian tofu and Vietnamese vegetarian. I love both. I usually order them to pack the vegetable topping on the side. Can keep them in the fridge for the next day. The price went up recently. The Vegetarian Tofu sandwich is now $5.95 and the Vietnamese.
THH Sandwiches is a great spot for a quick, tasty bite! The food is always fresh, and the prices are super reasonable — definitely one of the best values around. Perfect place to grab something on the go. The service is fast and efficient, and the menu has a solid variety of options. Whether you’re craving a classic banh mi or something a little different, THH hits the spot every time. Highly recommend for a quick, affordable meal!
Overall, we like to get food here for lunch a couple of times per month. I like the coffees and sandwiches but not so much the to go food waits during busy times. There is not much of a dinningroom to eat there, and if you do, have to be ok with a bunch of people standing around your table waiting for their food ...lol oh and parking can be tough during lunch hour peak times.
Giant Banh mi for $7.25 each? This mini chain is very consistent. Gets busy! But they’re fast. Grilled pork, Vietnamese cold cuts are most popular. Good selection of drinks and the Cafe Sua da (Viet iced coffee) is still only $4! Sandwiches are huge and overfilled. Pickles are on the sour side. If they toasted the bread it would be better, but they make their own bread so at least it’s soft enough that it doesn’t cut up your palate.
I got the grilled pork sandwich. The baguette had a good crunch but was not a rock. The pickled radish and carrots complement the fresh cucumber and savory grilled meat. The meat was a bit drier than I’d like but still great. There’s not much seating inside and there was a line when I went around 12PM on a Saturday. Probably waited a good 20 minutes to get my sandwiches.
THH is a decent chain. Not a fan of the sandwiches but it's better than Lee's. It's also the closest banh mi place to my house. When I want a quick Vietnamese fix I come here. Got the rice porridge and it was pretty good.
Ordered a Banh Mi #2. The toppings and garnishes are fresh. Meat base and pate did not come through well. Umami is missing. Order the Vietnamese Coffee, I asked for less ice but they did the total opposite and filled it all with 90% ice and 10% drink. Lasted only a few sips. Being out of the way from where I’m located, I will not be returning. This was my experience and not conclusive of all. Take this as you will.
I had a pork sandwich, which I liked. It had julienne carrots and lettuce. Bun was decent, too. However, please do something to really wow, me. Spring roll, it was okay. I just can't eat real spicy sauce which the peanut sauce was. Please folks, keep the tables wiped and floor free of fallen napkins. May try again. Friend seemed satisfied with Ramen soup.
I was craving banh mi and this was place was closer than Lee's so I decided to try it. I got there around 11 am and there was a line but it moved fast. I ordered the BBQ pork banh mi. The portions of BBQ pork, pickled veggies were perfect and very tasty. The sandwich would have been perfect if the bread wasn't so dry and they don't even butter it like at Lee's. I wouldn't call the bread a baguette it's just an overly toasted roll. I will probably give this place another chance, overall the sandwich was fresh and good, just not a fan of their bread.
I like the food..I always order double meat on my sandwich because the meat is very skimpy. The last 2 times I visited, I feel like I did not get double meat. I called and the person who answered the phone simply said,"okay." Is that a great one word response for an unsatisfied customer? I would have taken the sandwich back the second time but I didn't open it until I got home. I live 30 minutes away.
Their food is ok but most of their services are terrible like most Vietnamese places I have been to. They lack common courtesy, good manners, and decency. I was hoping this would be different but it was not. The ones on Brookhurst and Edinger are much worse and should be shut down. Their chicken is very dry and chalky that you could barely eat them, whether they are in soups or on sandwiches. Their beef lemongrass is actually pork but they try to deceive you into thinking it’s beef. One would know if they are eating beef or not. When they were confronted about it, they still lie to your face about it so shamelessly. The place is really crowded without spaces to stand and wait for your food and the seating is poorly organized. Most of them don’t speak or understand English well. They should hire more kind, courteous, English speaking staff because they are not only serving Vietnamese people. I notice many people ordering first and getting their foods last after waiting for long periods, which really frustrated them. I called in ahead of time, but when I got there, I had to reorder because they didn’t make my food! The place is not that clean either, but that’s common in Vietnamese places. All the men there are nice but some of the women there are very rude with bad attitudes for no good reasons. Why are they serving others if they don’t have any common sense of decency like decent human beings should? It’s disgusting behavior from some of those nasty women. Because of their bad services, I have no desire to go back there or any other Vietnamese place for that matter. They seem to take better care of their Vietnamese customers more as if they are their first priorities. Other non Vietnamese people who don’t speak Vietnamese wait longer for their foods, even if their foods are simple quick ones to prepare. It’s unacceptable. They think that just because their foods are fairly good and cheap that their bad services don’t matter. WRONG! They should all be shut down. There are better options around.
This spot was super busy rolling up on a Sunday, with long lines and packed dining area. I had really high expectations! But look closer and there’s not many older Vietnamese customers. First bad sign. Try the sandwich it’s one of the worst I’ve had. Hardly any pate at all, no viet mayonnaise making it a very dry sandwich. Just all around bland and dry dry dry. I would not recommend this spot.
This is my first time coming to this place with my family. I didn't like the service the cashier was rude and very serious...I got the sweet and spicy fried chicken sandwich, the chicken was too hard and tasted old and to make things worse I found a hair on a piece of chicken I ended up throwing the sandwich away..I'm very disappointed
I ordered two pork buns to go. They were individually wrapped. I was asked if I'd like them heated up. I said that I did. I walked to my car amd tried to open one of the buns. I literally burnt my fingers trying to get the plastic wrap. In the end, I threw the pork buns in the trash, in front of their shop, as what use to me food that burns me when I try yo eat it? I definitely don't recommend getting plastic wrapped food from them heated up.
I was hoping to really like this place, but the older lady in the register with the glasses was rude, I felt like she wanted to punch me or something, if this is a family owned business Please hire someone that is nice and welcoming. Also the spring rolls were ok, and the sandwich was ok too, they forgot to add my spring rolls and I had to ask for them and the guy thought I was lying so I showed him my recipe , so yeah that was my experience, the place was clean tho .
Ordered a smoothie and cashier barely understands english. Got my order wrong two times in a row. Waste of time. Also....everytime I come in the tables and place overall is NOT clean. Makes me wonder how the kitchen is..........
I ordered a $50 tray of seafood stir fried noodles for my son's gathering event. Let me just say it was so terrible that hardly anyone wanted to eat it. I tried it when my son brought home almost an entire tray full and the squids were like rubber, the shrimps were tough, and the noodles were sugary sweet. Will never order again. It was such a waste of $50.
Please change your hours to the same as other THH locations. I walked in at 6:02 was told “we’re closed “ however every other THH closes at 7. There was plenty of customers inside still eating, it wouldn’t take long to make me my sandwich , horrible customer service .
Been coming here for a long time. Horrible wait time on the weekend. Just getting spring rolls takes 30+ min. Not sure if it is worth the wait. Then the girl on the cash register said she called the number. Did she whispered the number???? I heard all the numbers while numbers are being called. I was in the room the whole time. Call out the number loudly or get one person to call out the number, DO NOT blame the customers
The place has horrible ambiance and is usually very dirty in the sitting area. The cashier called a customer "ugly" to her face in Vietnamese, thinking she would not be understood. So rude and obnoxious.
My experience with this place and the food has been progressively worse over time. Before, a few months ago, I thought this place was good on portions and value but I have noticed a downward trend on taste and quality each time I visit. For example, when they first introduced their sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, it instantly became my favorite. Meat was juicy, good portions, bread soft, an overall good sandwich. I get this sandwich each time I order. Each time since the initial time, the meat has gotten dry, bread crustier, seems like ingredients are slapped in without care. To a point where a got this last night, had to fight through tough meat, dry bread, and it made me sick over night. Spent the early mornings in the toilet. I prob will not be coming back for a long time. Typically I never go back to places that make me sick, but I may revisit a few months from now to confirm and decide then.
Not really sure what’s the hype . The meat was so dry and there was a guy smoking weed just out of the shop . I asked for the easy on the ice on the Vietnamese coffee but they did not honor it and even after showing them that they did not honor my order they refuse to exchange or provide a new one . I get the saying you get what you pay for , may be I won’t visit again .
You can order food, but they never have everything on the menu available. Also they annoyingly have a huge drink menu up, but state they do not make drinks anymore. Only iced coffees. If they don't offer the drinks anymore, why have the menu up on display? Ignorant!
First off the food is amazing. Five stars for that. I came here and the lady in front of me and the guy behind me ordered sandwiches but I was told that there were no more sandwiches for the day. Thirty min before closing. Bread sitting on the racks. No excuses.
If you like bugs in your sandwich this is your go to spot!! 🤯🤦♂️ I understand random accidents happen but this means the veggies are not being properly washed or the person Prepping the food doesn't take the sanitary standards seriously. The cashier just showed the sandwich to the food prep worker and nodded like "yup" like this happens often 🤦♂️ Be very wary and check your food thoroughly here because you might have a surprise like I did.
