We had a fantastic dinner on our last night of vacation. We tried the goat biryani, suggested to us over the lamb. So glad we followed the suggestion, it exceeded our expectations. It came with a cucumber salad that was my favorite thing! We also had the Chana Masala and chicken curry both tasted perfect. Side of garlic naan that melted in our mouth. It is just outside town, with a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. The staff were so kind and helpful.

ered the chicken biryani box and it was incredible! The portion is huge, enough for two people, and full of flavor. The raita was honestly the best I’ve ever had, the gulab jamun was soft high quality, and the salad was fresh and well-seasoned. I also got a mango lassi, big, refreshing, and tasted fresh, not artificial. Chicken samosas are well seasoned and have a great taste. The owner is awesome and clearly cares about the food and customers. Everything was freshly made, and the packaging was next-level, so clean, organized, and even came with a flower. Seriously impressive for a to-go meal. Highly recommend Biryani Hunter!

The owner convinced me to try the Goat instead of the Lamb, I was super impressed! I loved the flavor and texture of the meat. We ordered the Goat Biryani, chickpea masala, Chicken Curry, butter naan, and the mango lassi. Everything was super delicious! We really enjoyed our family dinner together!

An absolutely lovely place with beautiful decor, music, and patio! They had so many vegan options for me which was wonderful. The server was incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of. We came here before closing and he made sure we got the full experience and didn’t feel at all rushed. So happy we found this spot!

This place does a great job making the food mild for the kids yet spicy for my wife and I. The service is outstanding and the ambience is great! You can even bring your dog. I highly recommend it!

The host and owner was super nice, ambiance was great and service was pleasant. He was able to accommodate our requests. He brought little lime slices for the kids in plastic glasses to make them feel special. The food was delicious & came out at the right time.

It was my very first time trying Indian cuisine, and this place made me completely fall in love with it 🤍 The atmosphere is so cozy, the food is freshly prepared, and the bread… oh my goodness absolutely incredible! You can truly feel that everything is made with care, love, and a very professional touch. The host, Randee (I hope I spelled the name correctly), was incredibly welcoming and kind. He explained the menu, helped me choose the dishes, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does I’m honestly very impressed by both the food and the service. I rarely leave reviews, even when I enjoy a place, but this one truly deserves it. Thank you for such a beautiful first experience with Indian cuisine

Had My Birthday Dinner there for a Party of 13 & the Cuisine was DELICIOUS! The Menu is EXQUISITE! Half the party never had Indian Cusine & LOVED it! The Staff were Professional & Courteous! The ambiance is NICE! What makes it convenient is that Biriyani Hunter is off of Laguna Canyon Road with a large parking lot (not PCH) so there were plenty of available parking spaces. Thank You for for a GREAT Evening!

Wonderful hidden gem!!! Food and staff are wonderful. If only more people knew about this place! It pet friendly on the patio. Just know, I love hot and spicy but, hot here means a running nose, LOL!!! So order with knowing this, get medium spicy! Haha! Thank you, we will be back for sure!

I had the most wonderful experience at Biryani Hunter this Saturday afternoon! From the moment I walked in, the ambience stood out — warm, inviting, and beautifully set up. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and excited for a great meal. I started with the cauliflower Manchurian, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside, flavorful, and cooked just right. Alongside it, I had a refreshing lemonade that was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Every bite and sip felt thoughtfully prepared. To end the meal, I enjoyed a dessert that was simply outstanding — truly the highlight! It was rich, perfectly sweet, and left me wanting more. What made the experience even more special was the service. The person who served me was incredibly sweet, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The hospitality was excellent and made the entire visit even more memorable. Overall, Biryani Hunter delivers not just amazing food but also top-notch service and the best ambience. I’m already looking forward to visiting again!

This is my new go to spot for Indian food. By far the best place in Laguna beach if not Orange County. I will be back whenever the craving for Indian hits. I dined in my first time and the atmosphere is a little sleepy (it was a Wednesday) but the service was good and the food was incredible. Don’t sleep on this spot!

I am not an expert in Indian food but I know what delicious tastes like and our lunch meal was that & more. I ordered the lamb biryani which was perfectly prepared, but now that I have read the other reviews I can't wait to try the goat next time. The meals are quite large so they can definitely be shared or, in my case, eaten as leftovers the next day ;-) I wish I had taken photos of the presentation because the meal came out with beautiful flower & edible plant enhancements that made every dish special. We were fortunate to arrive during a time when the owner had moment to share that they had taken over ownership of this restaurant three months ago. They are really on the right track and deserve people going out of their way to discover this gem.

easily the best place I’ve ever been to, they have the most tender chicken I’ve ever tried, and the spices are just amazing, We could just tell they make their own spices by hand and they have the best service.The food comes out fresh and amazing in just a few minutes, but They still let you have conversations and eat, they also engage with their customers and it’s just overall a really good experience. The atmosphere is just so beautiful, and the chairs are Super comfy. This place is hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever tried and it’s so authentic you need to try it.

I am Indian and have tried many different places mostly in Chicago area. I would go back again but everything is alacart which makes it pricier than it should be. I'm used to rice being included with the curry at no extra charge. Overall it was a great experience for a date night and I will definitely be back to try more dishes.
