Delicious BBQ pulled pork, ribs, turkey, brisket. All meat we tried was tender and just right. Sides are light, flavorful and fresh tasting to offset the heaviness of the meat. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very happy we stopped here!!!

Hands Down the Best BBQ While vacationing in LP (from Long Island) We had some absolutely amazing barbecue, and I just have to give a shoutout to Jonathan, the owner — seriously one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. He made us feel right at home the second we walked in, and you can tell he really cares about his customers and the food he serves. And wow, the food! Everything was insanely good. The ribs just fell right off the bone, and don’t even get me started on the mac and cheese — total comfort food perfection. You can tell everything is made fresh and with a ton of love. Jonathan has really created something special here. Great vibes, great food, and even better people. If you love barbecue (or just food in general), you have to check this place out.

One of the best Bbq places. The meat is smoked and seasoned perfectly. I took my whole family here and we all enjoyed it. We recommend eating in because the atmosphere Is amazing. We ordered the ribs, brisket, tomato cucumber salad, broccoli salad and corn bread. And they are all so good! The tomato cucumber and broccoli salad complemented the smoked meats. And it’s a must have. Check the restaurant opening days because they are only open a few days a week. We got lucky we were staying in the area long enough to have this memorable experience with my family.

Getaway weekend for the wife and I. We made four stops to eat, and this was certainly the best! We both got pulled pork plates (and a pound to go) - meat was excellent. Every side we chose was also fantastic. The owners were welcoming, and you felt like you were pulling up a chair at their home. These are people that deserve to do well. Best of luck to them! Definitely stop in knowing you'll get your money's worth!

I am going to max out these Google stars and wish I could give West Shore BBQ a million more! The food was BEYOND amazing. And when I say beyond, it was quite literally out of this world (hence those extra stars). We stopped in this afternoon for the first time ever and it just so happened to also be the final day of their season. Super excited and hungry, our party of 4 ordered nearly half the menu. The results? Mains: The half chicken, brisket, ribs and brisket sandwich were insanely delicious. Seasoned perfectly, smoked perfectly, super juicy and just so, so good! Sides: The sides were also freakin delicious!! We tried the mac & cheese, potato salad, cowboy beans, coleslaw, okra/smoked tomatoes, carrot salad and cornbread. Every single side we tasted was fresh, tasted amazing and you know they put love into what they do! If you have not tasted the deliciousness that is West Shore BBQ - please run (don't walk) to their Facebook or Instagram and keep an eye out for opening week 2025 and get yourself some of their amazing eats! Or even better, have them cater your event!! I promise you absolutely will not be disappointed!!

Some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Simple, delicious pulled pork and ribs, smoked 17 hours!! All the sides are so fresh. We loved the vegan coleslaw, soul slaw with squash in it, and cornbread. Labels for GF, veg & vegan. A must visit if you love BBQ, or just want comfort side dishes.

Chef Jonathan, along with Megan, Sunshine and Jonathan, catered an epic dinner for 30 at Grand Peaks Lodge for our daughter’s wedding this past weekend! So professional, kind and thorough! Masters of the kitchen, every last detail was spot on! They slipped in unnoticed as we focused on the wedding outside. They set up outside and inside for our guests to seamlessly enjoy every moment. We could not have asked for better! We had incredible appetizers … charcuterie, smoked trout, smoked herbed meatballs (gf) … and then we were treated to perfect smoked brisket, tender chicken, yummy grilled carrot salad (OMG!), kale Caesar salad with cornbread croutons, roasted vegetables, and mac and cheese. Everyone was praising every bite and going back for more! We were left with perfectly wrapped leftovers and an immaculate kitchen. We cannot thank them enough for making this very special occasion so beautiful and carefree. We highly recommend! And we will visit their restaurant when we are back in town next season!

The service was enough to win me over, but all of the food was incredible. The brisket was perfect, the turkey sandwich was delicious, and all of the sides (cornbread/mac n cheese/lima beans) were on point. It's no wonder this place has 5 stars, keep on doing your thing West Shore BBQ!

I loved this place! The food was perfection and the staff here were so friendly and nice, we just came from backpacking in the ADK park and wanted a hearty meal to start the drive back home, i could not have been more happy with this meal! We had sandwiches for lunch - brisket, pulled pork and turkey, all very good. And by very good, I don't mean "for this area." I mean actually very good. Outstanding brisket! Jonathan and Mehgan are awesome and clearly have a passion for the BBQ craft. So glad you two are in Lake Placid! I will be back often.

BEST PLACE FOR BBQ! I waited to write a review so I could try a little of everything on the menu to give a honest review. I have found all the food from West Shore BBQ to be phenomenal! The Brisket is probably my favorite but I have yet to have a bad meal from there. All has been great and the price point seems very reasonable for the generous amount of food you receive in your order. Service has also been great! Look forward to many more yummy BBQ from West Shore.

These reviews have to be fake. I’ve had better ribs from the frozen section in Aldi. They were so tough and tasted like ham? I’ve never had ribs like these before. The baked beans were strange, ground beef does NOT belong in baked beans, and I’m pretty sure the potatoes were instant? The best part were the pickle slices 🥲

My dogs ate it. Food tasted like it was cooked in a residential oven at 350. Chicken had no flavors and seemed under cooked, ribs had fish like bones, sauce disgusting, corn bread was placed next to onions so that tasted like onions beans meh, Mac and cheese decent.
