Anyone who doesn't love this place and the food must not love Italian food. Great place to enjoy your evening, excellent entertainment. I owned a Italian restaurant and pizzeria so I know Italian food.
Someone was impersonating me on the reviews, I enjoyed this restaurant. Wish I could feel comfortable coming back, unfortunately the bald bartender is telling people at other bars I’m leaving reviews (under a fake profile that nobody even followed up on.) Oh well. The worst part is he approached a very nice guy who is special needs and scared the crap out of him at a neighboring bar down the street called the rock Irish pub. I wouldn’t want him to represent my business. Hopefully he’s not the owner. What makes this a shame most of all is there’s not a lot of good restaurants in the area and the clams are good.
Mario's is a wonderful italian restaurant in lakeworth on lake avenue. I eat here 2 times a week. The food is fantastic. Monica is my Waitress. I give her 5 stars. She is absolutely fabulous. So if you're looking for a great italian restaurant come to mario's downtown lake worth beach.
Great food, reasonable price great service
Bartender was a jerk, first waiter we had was also unfriendly. We finally ended up with an amazing waitress Laura. Food was average at best. We eat out every night. No need to race back.
This place was an unexpected surprise. We had reservations at a much more expensive Italian place but the woman who runs the shop across the street from Mario’s encouraged us to give them a shot. So glad we did! The food was delicious. Old school Italian place. Donna was our server and she was great. We got two of the specials and they were hearty portions and on par with similar menu items in regards to cost. Loved the live music too. The garlic buns are NOT to be missed.
This is a hidden gem. Henry thevowner is a super experienced restaurant owner and has created a unique dining experience with this location. Wait staff is incredibly experienced as well. Food is superb!!!! Don't forget to try any of the in house made desserts! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!!@
Fantastic restaurant. Our server, Laura, was great. I can't think of anything that could have been done better. Food was very good.
I can't say enough good things about this restraunt. People on here with their complaints should stay home and cook if they are going to nit pick over perceived service issues. Busy restraunts are busy for a reason. It's because so many people want to dine here. The food is incredibly rich in flavor and each plate holds huge portions. The atmosphere is buzzy but doesn't feel crowded. Saturday nights there is a piano player and singer. Her voice is so powerful and beautiful, most patrons stopped eating and stared at her stunned by her wide range vocal abilities. The servers are oldschool and have big personalities. And there's hugs, smiles and glasses cheersing with one more round. Also, the prices are much more reasonable than other restraunts of this caliber. I've been here two weekends in a row and can't wait to go back. Marios offers something that has been missing in the restraunt industry for a long time...value and experience.
My friends and I dined there tonight and it was fantastic! I ordered the veal parmesan and it was perfectly prepared! The sauce was delicious! My friends have dined here before and recommend we all go this evening! The rolls are also delicious! Our server Joe was great! The prices are reasonable and the portions and quality of their food is worth a trip!
It took wayyyy too long for me to come eat here! Went down as a fave immediately! The staff are the most down to Earth people 💙. Love coming here and haven’t had anything bad as of yet! Tables are too tightly packed and layout is a bit odd, but it works 😂
We had the most wonderful experience last night! This was our first time in the new location and it was outstanding! We were greeted by Mario at the door and he was so welcoming. Dante was our server and he was so personable it felt like we knew him for years! He was so knowledgeable about every dish and he made the greatest recommendations for everyone! Kenny was the entertainment while we were dining and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was so delicious and fresh. We ended our visit with one drink at the bar with Morgan and she was such a delight. So busy but took care of us immediately. We will definitely be back. The experience felt like we were at a family party! I can’t wait to celebrate many more occasions there!
This is my favorite Italian restaurant! The food is incredible, the atmosphere is great, and the service makes this place a gem. We usually have Salomon or Maxwell, and they're just delightful. As a bonus, if you like sangria, you need to try theirs - it's a large, strong pour and delicious. If you haven't been to Mario's, you need to give them a try - you'll love it.
We sat at a sidewalk table and enjoyed watching the world go by...a place to linger, chat and enjoy one more glass of wine... We were so pleased with the mussels! Dip the buttery bread in the broth. You won't regret it! The portions were generous, the prices fair and our server was genuine and friendly. He made it, not just a delicious meal, but a wonderful experience.
Food was delicious and the service was diligent and attentive. Monica was a playful delight as our server. Will be back again!
Dinner was amazing, the Chicken Franchise was the best I’ve ever had! Our waiter Solomon was great with both selection and service. Don’t miss the homemade Tiramisu beyond spectacular! #marioslakeave 5 Stars
We went on April 13, 2025 after the theater matinee. We had a lovely waitress Laura, and Dan, the waiter both were absolutely charming and attentive. We had a great Caesar salad with the best dressing ever, we got the lobster scampi which was so delicious. We had cocktails before, And crème brûlée for dessert. The atmosphere was lovely, clean, white starch table cloths, Heavy silverware. We both were so pleased with the meal.
We had an exceptional experience at Mario's! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Anthony, our server, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and made us feel like family. We started with the calamari and Caesar salad, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. For our main course, we enjoyed the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken. It was creamy, perfectly cooked, and the grilled chicken added a great smoky flavor. To top it all off, the Tiramisu was divine—a light, sweet ending to a fantastic meal. Thank you, Mario's, for such a memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Being from Philadelphia and my wife being from NY we are very picky with our Italian food. By far the best in South Florida this is our go to place the staff is family to us after all the years of eating there. The food is plentiful and cooked to perfection always. My kids love MARIO'S and you would be a fool not to eat here. The Veal Chop Parm is my go to followed by the Dual lobsters special. Enjoy its the best.
Great classic Italian cuisine. Huge portions. Tasty Italian flavours. Classic menu. Wait staff was excellent. Nice full service bar. Free public parking nearby.
What a GREAT find. Impeccable food and service. Wait staff just amazing . Authentic Italian food . Went with a friend we will both be back and bring others. Sat eve is a must with a beautiful songstress playing music everyone knows. 5 stars to me
We are new to the area and happened to come across this amazing restaurant. From the amazing food selections and fresh taste of all our selections we could not ask for better . Monica our server was top notch and another reason we will def be coming back, she was amazing and and quick and so attentive to our little boy Aaron . We can’t wait to come back and see Monica and have a another great family dinner . Thanks Mark and Ted and Aaron 😊
My waiter has been fantastic tonight. I enjoyed his dessert recommendation of the bread puddingwhich is made in house. I had the chicken milanese and a side of angel hair with garlic and oil. I sat outside and the lemon drops are nice.
Finally a date night out! We have been wanting to try this place for some time now. We heard many good things about the food. Well it was amazing! The service staff was very friendly and full of joy. The food is so unbelievably good. All very authentic Italian cuisine. My favorite were the Arancini. So creamy,, crunchy, a full of flavor.. We will be making this a place to go often.
White linen table service with knowledgable and passionate staff who are proud of the food here! They also have a pet friendly outsode seating area. Our waiter made some great suggestions since we were looking to get some appetizers to share instead of dinners. We ordered the Broccoli Rabe and Sausage, which was considered a side dish but was the size of a dinner. Also the hot antipasto which included eggplant rollatini, clams oreganato, shrimp scampi etc. Everything was so fresh and delicious and prices were in line. Definitely looking forward to going back for a full dinner.

Monica was an amazing server. She recommended the Frutta Di Mar to my husband, outstanding dish. Will be coming back.
Mario’s on Lake Ave is an absolute gem! The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. They went above and beyond to accommodate a special food request without hesitation, which really stood out. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it such a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. A special thank you to our waitress, Monica, who made us feel like family from the moment we sat down. Her kindness and attention made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend!
I’ve been a customer for years Never disappointed. Henry runs a fine establishment. His son, Steve is an excellent and creative chef. Glad they just reopened for the season. I’ll be there within 3 days.
We had the most amazing experience at Mario’s. The bartender was attentive and very friendly. Our servers were efficient and professional. The food was outstanding (lasagna and bolognese) The setting was very upscale and romantic. What a gem. Bravo to all involved in making our experience so memorable. Cheers
We had a delightful experience and meal with my twin 1 year olds and son and DIL. The team accommodated us with two high chairs and exemplary service. Food and cocktails met all of our expectations. Even Valet was awesome. Don’t hesitate to dine here. We consider Mario’s a go to place for a great dinner and atmosphere.
Last night was a perfect serendipity experience. We were headed to Boynton Beach to try a restaurant and didn’t realize it was the boat parade which made parking impossible and way too crowded. We headed back to Palm Beach Gardens and stopped in Lake Worth to try someplace new. We walked the main drag and Mario’s looked like a fun place to try. From the moment you step inside Mario’s, you know you’re in for something special. The restaurant masterfully blends an inviting indoor atmosphere with a seamless outdoor dining area, creating a versatile ambiance that feels both intimate and expansive. The indoor-outdoor flow is superb. The space outside is serene and charming, with comfortable seating, and just the right level of buzz. It’s perfect for a romantic evening, a lively family gathering, or a relaxed solo dinner. The overall vibe is polished yet welcoming, striking that rare balance between chic and comfortable that makes you want to linger. We sat at a table and realized that the owner was dining at the next table over. He talked about how he crafted home made sausage that he learned from his parents. We started out with a traditional Cesar Salad which was perfectly made. I looked at what they were eating at the table the owner was sitting at and asked the waitress about a specific dish which I ordered. The pork chop at Mario’s is, without a doubt, the best I have ever had. Juicy, impeccably seasoned, and cooked to a flawless, succulent finish, every bite offered a juicy, tender experience that lingered pleasantly on the palate. The accompanying sides complemented the main course perfectly, enhancing the pork chop without overpowering it. The balance of flavors demonstrated a thoughtful, confident kitchen. Attentive, knowledgeable staff who anticipate needs without hovering. The menu offers delightful variety, yet the execution remains consistently high across dishes. Mario’s in Lake Worth delivers an extraordinary dining experience with a standout indoor-outdoor ambiance and a pork chop that ranks among the best I’ve ever tasted. If you’re seeking a memorable meal that pairs refined atmosphere with standout cuisine, this is a must-visit.

Excellent service, very generous portions, fresh ingredients, and very tasteful. Happy hour from 4 to 6 is well worth it. However, we were extremely rushed when we were barely into our appetizers. The meal came. Most likely because the restaurant was filling in
Stopped in for Happy Hour we saw online, but the happy hour is not actually 4-6 as stated it's 10pm and after. But Kelly the bartender was amazing... Would have given a 3 star review due to false advertising but Kelly made up for it

Sat at the bar. Food was very good. Service not so much. Had to ask for refill of iced tea. My empty wine glass sat for 15 mins with no inquiry. We left without ordering more drinks because we could be served better elsewhere. The “regulars” got on the spot service. Won’t be returning.
It was okay because there was a group of us and we had fun and our server Monica was very nice, but over our table space was quite tight, and I had the lasagna and it was a little bit salty, and I bought some home and was eating and pull out a long piece of hair! We had gone to Mario's for an affair located in Boca Raton, and it was absolutely fabulous, and we thought it was the same as Mario's in Boca Raton and they are not same.
This place might be OK for people that know nothing about Italian food so yeah enjoy
This place is well-rated. And if, as a level 7 Google Local Guide, I am guilty of anything, it's to usually give too many stars. This place may be good if you like their specific dishes AS LISTED on the menu, and if you like your food extremely salty. I happen not to like onions. So I politely asked if I could have the penne alla vodka with no shallots or if it is pre-made. Our main waiter, Nino, said that "nothing is pre-made here, and the shallots can be removed." Same for the Greek Salad?, I asked. Same reply. So far, so good. Then I asked if I could have the balsamic instead of the Greek dressing on that salad. Apparently, that was too much: Nino: "Look around, we are busy! Don't go and start changing my whole menu." It's very poor customer service that I can't have two dishes (which are proudly not pre-made) without onion and a different (readily available) salad dressing. To make the point, I was served a salad WITH onions. I found it pointless to complain after that, but I probably should have. My wife's dish, Zuppa Di Pesce, at $44, came in a very generous portion, fresh and hot, but the amount of salt was insanely high. We then lost our appetite for dessert and asked for the check. When I "only" tipped 15% (of the total, including tax, hence more than 15%), I sensed a "sour" reaction. No thank you. Our first and last time at Mario's.
The staff is awesome.. our waitress was a little in the weeds so it was slow service. But she was so nice we didn't let it bother us. But my biggest issue is they have a two person performers on the weekends, who are very very good, but they are to loud for sucha a small dinner place. We couldn't hear to talk to each other. And it was to chillies out side to sit out side.
Oof madon, I thought I’d treat myself because this place is expensive. The menu pictures are outdated and misleading. So I spent 31 bucks on shrimp Alfredo. Whatever I’m sure it’s going to be amazing. Yeah not much love and a whole lot of cream. I also had to de vein most of the shrimp.
Unfortunately Mario's was not ready for a Friday night Valentine's Day. They had a set menu which was fine, but they were short on items even from the set menu. They didn't have three items my wife wanted from the set menu and they didn't have one item I wanted. The food did not taste as good as we remembered. The pasta tasted like Chef Boyardee. Then even though they were missing several of our choices at the end my wife ordered a cappuccino and they charged us $8 for it. Long story short dinner cost around $185 for the two of I us but it was very disappointing. The night was still great though because I was there with my beautiful wife.
I have ate here many times - even when they had the old location on Ocean Ave. Slowly the food has not been good so I have went less often. Today was my last time going. I was eating Alfredo and I got the distinct taste of metal. I figured my taste buds were off and then about 6 bites in - I have a piece of metal in my mouth!
Waited over an hour for our food. When we asked the waiter where our bread was he relied …” I asked the Chef…” we wound up taking our food to go and I’m not sure what the hell they gave us cause it wasn’t what we ordered…-all for over $100. Never again…lasagna and chicken Milanese… there was chicken in the lasagna…..
The restaurant is way too packed with tables too close together. The food is not worth the price they charged. My shrimp Parm had some kind of spice that was also found in my spaghetti side. The server, was pleasant but was tough to find. She didn’t come to refill water and we were almost done with our meal before she asked if we liked our food. We will not be back. There are far better Italian restaurants in the area.
Went for dinner last night & we started with two cosmopolitans. The drinks arrived with small fruit flies and wings floating in them!!!! Sent them back & had a bottle of wine instead. After dinner we ordered 2 frangelicos. Both of these arrived with small bugs in them as well. What really got me though, was the bartender trying to say it was ice, not bugs. Just own it for goodness sake. If you cover your open liquor bottles at night, You would not have this problem. Our serve, Monica was most gracious & embarrassed. I will never return
Horrible experience! My husband found a piece of glass in his pasta!!!! He was lucky, he didn’t swallow…The very nice server apologized and took away the plate telling us he would bring another one with NO CHARGE, ( which is normal in those situations) He gave us the other plate. Then we ordered a dessert and he brought the cheque. They charged us for the replacement plate! We told the server that this was unexpected since he told us the contrary. He said he talked to the manager but no way. The nice server was quite angry and said that manager was so bad. The server agreed with us; he looked disgusted by his manager. Plus the dish was over salted and the singers were horrible, the sound so loud… we’ll never go back there. It’s a kitsch place; the managers behavior is not professional. A place to avoid! You will find much better choices around.
each. After waiting a long time, my wife and I were finally seated — only to be told moments later that we had to get up and give the table away because a party of four had just arrived. It was embarrassing, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. When I asked to speak with the manager, the person looked at me and said, “I’m the owner.” Honestly, that made the situation even worse. I have never experienced something like this in the area where I live. Treating customers this way shows a total lack of respect and zero understanding of hospitality. This was, without question, the worst dining experience I have ever had in Lake Worth Beac
I had a very disappointing experience during the street painting festival in Lake Worth. Mario’s had an employee outside selling drinks out of a cooler and advertised for 3-4 dollars per drink. My group and I turned around and I purchased two and left a tip. I was given the option for a receipt but as they were very busy, I declined. The next day, I noticed a charge for $53 dollars on my card. Not sure if there was a mix up or an extraordinary tip was left on my behalf, but it does seem dishonest. Very disappointed by this experience and urge you to be cautious with your purchases here…. especially when the restaurant is busy.
