My friends and I had lunch at Eastbound Bar and Grill today and it was really good. I had the Eastbounder burger with a side of onion rings. I’m an onion ring lover, so I couldn’t wait to dig into those things. They had a nice crispy crust that had good flavor. And they were served hot. I tend to eat my onion rings first because if they sit, they get soggy and slightly greasy, so as I ate these, I realized there’s a lot of them and I figured if I eat all these onion rings, there’s no way I’m going to eat that hamburger. So the hamburger became my evening meal. Judging the quality of a hamburger that has sat around for a couple of hours wouldn’t be fair, but even though it sat around for a couple of hours, I thoroughly enjoyed it. And it’s a big burger, half pound, that was slightly pink, juicy and done just right. Our server was prompt and friendly, and the ambience was upbeat and a tribute to the country and western theme of Lakeside.

Updating my review 8/29/24 I recently discovered their garlic/parmesan fries 🤤🤤🤤and have become obsessed! I've tried garlic/parmesan fries at other places, but this is the best place I've had them. This is about the fourth time I've been here. Usually, I have a hamburger w/fries but I ventured out and ordered the meat lovers pizza. When they set the pizza down in front of me I couldn't wait to get my hands on it... It smelled so good! Of course, it was as good as it smelled. My husband and I got there during happy hour, and we got free (yay!) fries before we ordered the pizza, so we took two pieces home. Hamburgers are half pound and I usually take half of mine home, as well. This is fast becoming one of my favorite places to go out.

Eastbound Bar and Grill has some delicious food! My friend and I tried two different burgers, which were tasty. The fries were crispy and paired well with the burgers. The menu item that really stood out was the chipotle chicken flat bread pizza. Wow, it's probably the best flat bread pizza I have had in San Diego! Every bite was spicy, buttery, and crunchy. The decor inside the restaurant is fun and lively. To top it off, our server was great! We will be back here. Please stop by and order the flatbread. Eat up!!!

Tonight was my first time at this local restaurant/bar. I was so stoked on how cool the place looks, sporty but trendy ✨ It was Trivia night when we seated, I like how this is a regular event always going on Sunday nights. Staff was super nice, our server took great care of us, always checking in. Food is superb! I will be back soon that's for sure :D Btw love that there are purse 👜 hooks under the table.

We came with our entire baseball team plus the parents, and the staff here were beyond accommodating. I called ahead to see if they would have enough room and they didn't promise a reservation. But when we showed up with the crew there were 5-6 tables with Reserved signs on them. We were seated promptly and everyone was super friendly. This is first and foremost a bar, albeit one that is very family friendly. The seatings are all like the ones you see in any bar. There are a few booth seats, but it's not like a chain restaurant so come with the right expectations. The food and the beer were all very good. Overall it was a really fun time for the whole team and the families. Highly recommended.

Saturday breakfast was great. They offer a nice select of brunch cocktails and the coffee is always good. The service staff is wonderful, their attitude and knowledge of the menu was nice.

10 out of 10 every time. Never any complaints about the staff, food or ambiance. I always have a great time there.

Good food. Prompt service. Reasonable price. Pleasant staff. Parking is limited but we usually do takeout, so park nearby.

Great salads and service. Can be a bit of a wait in the dinner hours but worth it. Good on draught selection.

Atmosphere is awesome, staff friendly. Ordered the chips with cheese and such. For 5 bucks more I had them add the carne Eastbound needs to do better on this dish. I get 4 times that amount on one block over at the taco shop. There was hardly any meat.

Nice place for a burger. They are really good big too. Has lots of TV where you can watch a game on a Sunday. Other entertainment to But there Beer is real expensive. I paid way to much for 2 tall drafts like 12 dollars each. So I guess to some thats ok. I can go pay 6.99 at the store and get 3 tall boys 24oz so yeah a tall draft shouldn't be more than 6 dollars thats like a 900 mark up on beer. Besides that ok.

We went there for a Sunday brunch. Overall, the staff was very friendly. I didn't find anything special about the meal, but I've only been once and will need to try it a few more times to get a good feel in the quality of the food served. I did enjoy the atmosphere, for being a bar and grille it was spacious and plenty to do for the kids that were there. It is dog friendly on the patio.

The staff is really awesome and joyful. Was served instantly and even though there was a slip up and the food came late she apologized and took it off the bill. Unfortunately the burger wasn’t the best, although the flavor was good the meat size wasn’t proportional to the bun and was very juicy to the point where it soaked the burger into a mush. Otherwise it was a good stop to get some quick food.

Came here Mother’s Day and it was pretty packed though we were able to snag a table for five. The downside was that it was a corner table with stools and we barely fit our plates on this very small table. We might’ve just been placed underneath the speaker, but the music was very loud. There was free popcorn near the back on your way to the restrooms, which was nice and they have seating outback. The brunch menu has a lot to offer but I stuck with my faithful choice of a traditional breakfast as my rule goes: if you can’t do a simple breakfast, I don’t wanna be here. The biscuit was a little too cake-y for my liking. I put on a lot of butter and it still would not help cut the density of it. The bacon was well cooked not too greasy. I think my issue with the plate was that right when I started eating it already felt like it was sitting for a while as it wasn’t piping hot. So when I got to the halfway point, my food was definitely getting very cold. The prices though are really good I think for five of us It was about $100 which is pretty impressive. I’m not sure if I come here again as I had high hopes

Had breakfast and when your food is worse than Dennys there is a problem. Everything had a profit over quality vibe. Biscuits were tasteless premade and warmed, eggs from the bag and cheap bacon. That was the good news the potatoes I can’t even explain at the lack of effort in seasoning and poor quality. Service matched the food perfectly. The demise over the last year in this establishment is impressive. Someone is putting profits over quality and both are going down the drain just like my meal.
