I love this place nothing is ever always 100 percent for everyone's liking,I was a little disappointed for 17.00 breakfast burrito .but I will go back because the food 9 out of 10 times the hit it out of the park so hummy .so do go have a great time there bread homemade liver and onions so good big plates so hope your hungry.

Very good portions and pricing. Food is tasty, what can I say it is a classic diner that has that nostalgic home feeling. Servers are great. I get the Country Gravy Biscuits for breakfast with 2 Eggs, breakfast potatoes and 2 sausage patties. Housemade fresh squeezed orange juice.

Excellent service and very tasty food. I had the 1/2 chicken barbecued with mashed potatoes and gravy. I was very satisfied. Yvonne had the potatoe skins they looked good. We will turn some other time. I would like to try the chicken and waffles.

Parking was tough. Host was kind. Waitress was just ok. Biscuit was a bit dry. Everything else was great.

Found this restaurant on the way to eat at another restaurant. We decided to skip the other restaurant and give this one a try. Boy, we were so glad we did. The food was delicious, prices fair and service was great. Very friendly staff and attentive. This will now be our go to breakfast spot, love this place!

Love this family restaurant. They bake their own bread and have HUGE portions. I always get 2 meals out of one. Managers here are great and pitch in when it gets busy. The servers are top notch. This has an old school feel and is a gem. They really don't have too many restaurants like this anymore

UPDATE: This is our breakfast go to, especially when daughters come to visit. It does get busy on the weekends, but food still good. Has a sort of old school look and the place was very clean. Coffee was good. My husband loved his omelette, it's in his top 10. They also serve regular grits and hash browns. I just got pancakes with chocolate chips. Honestly, I was a little surprised how the they were prepared because the chocolate chips were sort of hidden. In fact. I was sad because I was like only 5 chocolate chips, but they were there, so it was like a special surprise. The bread is freshly baked, my husband got like the thickest slice of toast ever. Also, we were a little surprised how fit the staff looked, but it was a good sign that whatever food we hot was real food. We are looking forward to another meal here.

This was the first time I came here. I enjoy the friendly and quick service. The waiter was very attentive, despite how busy it was . Had the spinach and cream cheese omelette , outstanding and worth the price. Will be going back here again and recommend you do too.

Food was great, service excellent. I came in with my Partner and Daughter, before I could ask they accommodated my child with a booster seat. The waiter was friendly and to the point. We were vacationing in California last week and we really wanted some good breakfast and we came across this place and the food and service was absolutely excellent best we have ever had we wish they had a place like this is North Carolina if you are in the Lakewood or Los Angeles this is a definitely must I highly recommended.

We decided it was cheaper for us to get traditional Thanksgiving dinners by buying two ready-made, without the fuss and muss of cooking, and the price of a whole spread. We used to go elsewhere, but someone reminded me about this place. Sure enough, they had a Thanksgiving Special. It was 29.99 each, but it was worth it! It was at least enough for 2 servings in each dinner and came with turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, candied yams, a pumpkin muffin, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. Whew, it was a lot, and it was delicious. Everything was homemade or from scratch to be more correct. I didn't think to take photos, but I can tell. Of course, you can go throughout the year, as I have had delicious food and good service there for many years.

Our 1st time here, now on top of our list! A cozy cute spot.I ate everything including the toast! Rare for me. It was thick, soft and oh so good. The grits were perfect and a nice sized bowl. One of my favorite places for breakfast in the area! The wait times are always quite decent between 10-15 minutes and the food doesn't disappoint! My go to is the LA Marathon breakfast, as it has a bit of everything! French toast, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, ham, bacon & sausage with eggs... is crazy! It can easily feed two people! I hope that helps, if you're in the area I would stop by here!

We read reviews on Google Maps as we were driving past this place one day and that is why we went here. The reviews were pretty good, so we wanted to try it out. They do give large portions. The food was good. The service was good, too. I got the roast turkey with stuffing and a baked potato. They make their own fresh bread. Many to choose from. It was all so much food I couldn't even finish it. We will go back here again.

First time here, and what a yummy recommended find. Had their skillet breakfast and boy! what a plate. Are about half and will have a nice breakfast lunch and snack throughout the day. Home style potatoes were absolutely delicious! And they made the bacon just the way I like (little more on the crispy side) and all smothered in cheddar cheese. Went to breakfast with my Sister and Mom on my last day in California. I chose Heritage Family Pantry. I had the Country fried steak,eggs,and hash browns,my mom had Eggs Benedict and hash browns,and my sister had the chorizo skillet. I actually introduced a new restaurant for my sister and her family to come down from Irvine and have some delicious food.

Guys please never blow this place up on social media… I love it here… and will always be a customer for the family feel and giant portions. 💕

This is our family's favorite coffee shop. We visit frequently and are treated like family. The staff, cooks and management are truly wonderful people and do their best to make sure you enjoy your visit. We love sitting at the counter - it really gives this location its diner feel. For a party of 2, you are seated right away and the staff are on it. They are very welcoming, fast, and they keep refilling my coffee cup before I can ask for more. Love it. This is one of the best restaurants in the Carson/Lakewood area, I have been ordering the spinach, mushroom and cream cheese omelette for awhile and it never disappoints, thank you for the filling and well cooked food !

3rd or 4th time coming here. Consistency is a nice thing about eating here, and the portions are Great! Large and family size even. Always have gotten breakfast too, so that should speak to how good the food can be here. Might have a little wait depending on how large of a party or time of day and all that, but it’s never too long and well worth any wait. Home style potatoes come highly recommend!

Always great food here, breakfasts especially. The chicken fried steak is best anywhere around here. All entrays are big enough to be split between 2. Lunch standout - club sandwich. Diner standout. - fried chicken. Chicken and waffles, fish and chips.

This is my to go to place. Staff is friendly place is very clean. My favorite dish is the chilaquiles plate & their L.A marathon meal. My family has tried other dishes and they have loved it. Definitely recommend it.

I had a great experience over Thanksgiving at the Heritage Family Pantry on Carson Street in Lakewood. I pre-ordered their Thanksgiving feast for two the week before. It came with all the usual fixings plus some. Hector took the order. He was fantastic, and patiently answered all my questions. A young gal, Lindsay, packed everything up the day of pick up. The food was delicious, better than we could have prepared at home. We enjoyed large portions of turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, creamed corn, yams, a piece of pumpkin pie and a large pumpkin muffin- OMG yum, all homemade on site. It was Labor Day, and almost everything was closed, but this spot was open—and wow, are we glad we found it! We were in the mood for breakfast burritos, did a quick search, and decided to give them a try. Before heading over, we called to check if they were open, and not only were they open, they even let us put our name on the list ahead of time (love when places do that!). When we arrived, we were seated quickly. Our waitress was clearly busy, but she still managed to be attentive and friendly, which we really appreciated. I ordered the bacon breakfast quesadilla—never thought about quesadillas in a breakfast style before, but it was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Sergio had the wet burrito with chorizo, and since he’s picky about chorizo, he was impressed enough to give it an A+ (that’s saying something!). Being new to the area, we’ve been on the hunt for go-to breakfast spots, and this one officially made our list. Great food, great service, and open on a holiday when no one else was—highly recommend giving them a try! PS I forgot to add they have great coffee

Been going here for a year now. Always great service and food but the last time had to keep asking for drinks and condiments especially for my baked potato after I already told the waitress that I want it all of it and when I asked for the condiments for the baked potato she brought me ranch instead of sour cream which I still use for something else but my mother had to ask for the sour cream other than that the food portions are great normal service tires awesome even the manager she's awesome. So I recommend this place and the liver portions are better than other places that I have gone to how many now is a servant with bacon or have the option with baking yeah you can't get a side of bacon but other than that the bread's freshly made and their pies and their brownies are freshly made there too which is awesome and the number one point for me is their a #Pepsi for the drinks.

This is comfy place and homy..... This is old place but not in a bad way though. Food quality is pretty good and so is quantity. Taste pretty good too. We had salad, burger, patty melt, chicken fried steak, etc. But most were good. No complaints. Servers are different. Most time we like to sit at table served by one male which I forgot his name. He never kept our coffee mug empty but one mature lady just keep on passing by. But in general I just got to find right table....

This is a solid choice for a traditional American meal. I recently had the chance to try their omelets, and I was quite pleased. The omelet I ordered was not only large and filled with a generous amount of fresh ingredients but also cooked to perfection. The diner itself has a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. The vibe is simple but inviting, and the service is friendly. The coffee was also great and complemented my meal well. Would return, looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu.

I had the Turkey Melt with the house made wheat bread. The turkey was really good and the bread was great, but the sandwich was okay overall. The french fries were really good. All the employees from the waitress and host were excellent. I didn't try a pie, but from the ones I saw, they looked really good.

Ordered a medium well steak and shrimp from here and the steak was thin bland and for some reason white on the inside and not pink or brown? Mashed potatoes and macaroni both lacked flavor as well. Only reason this place is good was the chicken tortilla soup that was amazing and their great bread.

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years—and today was a surprise on the food I always get the chorizo burrito no beans and extra cheese and today as I’m eating, I cut into it and notice the egg and I’m like where is chorizo and then I cut in the middle and it’s all egg. There is hardly any chorizo in it and it’s just flat like egg wrapped in a tortilla so not happy at all—with the food! Since they are like $15-$17 burritos you expect to get what you pay for and I really hope they don’t start doing what they did at the other location they tried to open The original owners were the kindest and most honest couple—they started somebting great

Me and my parents went here last Saturday morning around 9am we were served by a Middle age Hispanic lady probably around 40 years old she greeted us in Spanish which we gladly told her sorry we don’t speak Spanish. After she continued to speak to us in Spanish we didn’t even know how to order our food and she made us feel unwanted because we didn’t speak the language she preferred. We saw her then go tell a older shorter light complex Hispanic guy probably about 55-60 years old that we didn’t speak English he then came over to our table with a attitude and didn’t even look like he wanted to help us because we didn’t speak their language. This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. My pancakes tasted like cat food… I could only take two bites before worrying I was literally eating cat food. My partner’s order was wrong and then when the skillet came out the second time, the eggs were not cooked through. When it came out the third time, and he could finally try it, it was bland and inedible. The coffee had floating things in it. The orange juice was just sour. But the home fries were good. Very good, actually. If anything else had been palatable, we would have become loyal customers because I would go there allll the time for the home fries. The waitress was really nice and I felt terrible that she had to serve that terrible food.

They are very expensive here ! Nothing stands out as special ! They say that they bake their own bread , but it's only 3 types white, wheat or Raisin bread ! It's a nope here !

Unfortunately, this is not the same restaurant I remember eating at when I was younger. This place was known for their giant portions. I ordered pork tenderloin and I got 9 pieces of half dollar sized pieces, just about the same thickness too, it was dry, overcooked and under seasoned. This new place absolutely sucks. Prices too high, portions too small, and when you can't cook pork properly..... come on. I'm not even going to give my dog this pork because I am afraid it's so dry, he would choke. That's not a joke either..... straight into the trash bin, just like the chance of me ever coming back.

The food here was mid at best and incredibly over priced. Eggs and bacon were beyond greasy and my coffee mug was covered with crusty old eggs at the beginning. The waiters were nice enough though. $16 for a sad excuse for breakfast? I give this restaurant a hard pass.

I found two pieces of hair in my food and yet I stayed and paid full price. Without an apology. They offered me a brownie.
