Just wanted to give recognition where it’s due. Marquita is such a compliment to this restaurant for her service and kind manners. We had a party of six and she took the time and was helpful to all of us. Such a joy to be served by a true professional to her trade. We all were very impressed by the attention we received with our orders and the nature of how she treats her customers. You can’t teach what she genuinely gives you, it shows by her treatment that it’s from the heart. The food is delicious and with her service it is what makes for a pleasant eating experience. Went to Mimi's for Sunday kickback and had the popsicle mango mimosa. Totally refreshing and good! So cute too! Sat at the bar with a friend and the manager, Julio took care of us. Very friendly and funny so what a plus to go along with our drinks. Also the food was fantastic. I had the hibachi salmon and the brie dip. Even ordered an extra serving to take home. Excellent breakfast this Saturday morning and stellar service from our server, Elsa. I had truffled eggs with smoked salmon off the seasonal menu with a side of pork sausages. My wife had Brioche French toast with scrambled egg and buttermilk spiced muffin. Servings were ample and priced just right.

My first time here and it was a great experience :) manager Julio and server/bartender Danny have great customer service. They kept making sure we were happy with our food and very attentive. It was Danny’s first day bartending and he was doing such a great job!!! Way to go Danny!!

This was my first time at any Mimi's Cafe in about 10 years. The food quality, taste, and presentation was really good! We had a party of 15 and were able to reserve a semi private room 24 hours before needed! There was a dedicated wait staff assigned to us, and they didn't miss a beat! Even better, they didn't auto bill the gratuity! The result, we tipped 25%! There are so many things to choose from on the menu, so there is something for everyone. Our party ordered everything from omelets to chicken pot pie to salmon to jambalaya. It all came out hot and freshly prepared. A great time!

I've visited Mimi's Cafe several times at the Downey location, but not at this one. I placed a to-go order because I was in a hurry. The ambiance was the usual afternoon vibe at Mimi's Cafe, with plenty of seating and staff. This location offers outdoor seating, but with this hot weather, I suggest sitting inside to enjoy the air conditioner. They have a bar area where they offer a variety of beers, liquor, and mixed drinks. My server, Johanna, provided me with a menu, and I was reminded of the wide range of food they serve. When I asked her for a recommendation on a sandwich, she suggested the Turkey Pesto Ciabatta, which I ordered. My sandwich cost $18.73, which some might find a bit pricey. My order took 10 minutes, and then I was out the door. My Turkey Pesto Ciabatta was a decent size with plenty of fries. The bread was warm and crispy, and the turkey and other condiments were flavorful. The avocado and balsamic dressing was a nice added touch to the sandwich. The fries were well-salted and crispy, which went well with my sandwich. In conclusion, the sandwich was delicious and fulfilling. If I ever order a sandwich from Mimis Cafe, I will order the Turkey Pesto Ciabatta again.

A fantastic "rustic American" bistro with high quality, flavorful dishes at reasonable prices for the portions. I got the 3 for $30 meal with a cup of french onion soup, an additional appetizer (+$10) of Brie cheese dip with toasted bread, a jambalaya entre, and a molten chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was utterly delectable. I was starving when I came by here, but, even after accounting for that, the food was excellent. The interior is quite spacious so they can probably accommodate larger groups and seem to have good happy hour deals. All in all, I definitely recommend stopping by. I know I'll be coming back at some point!

I have not been to a Mimi's cafe in years but I can see why they are still around! The food and service were great. I got the cinnamon roll pancake breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. I'm ready to go back and order the same thing again. The only thing I didn't care for was the bacon. It was just a little too fatty and soggy for me. But I know not everyone likes crispy bacon so it could just be a personal preference thing. Overall, great food and experience. I will be back!

This place is amazing. The food is 5/5 quality for very affordable pricing. My girlfriend and I split their Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Pasta, and Mushroom & Brie Melt. We also ordered the Corn Chowder as an appetizer. I particularly enjoyed the pasta. The Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Pasta is a creamy mustard sauce that is brings out the best flavors of the mushroom, creating a strong aftertaste to remember with each bite. It is a very exquisite taste you'd expect only at the best Japanese or French restaurants. Overall, the servers were friendly and attentive, place has a beautiful sense of decoration, and wide selection of foods. It was perfection down to even the seasoning of the fries. I would definitely come back, a true 5/5 experience.

Party of 4. 3 of us got the 3 fo $30. Decent value for a starter, entree and dessert. Everyone loved their food. My ceaser salad was very good. Mimi's Cafe has what is probably the very best grilled cheese sandwich in the grilled cheese business. They cover it in some kind of parmesan or other savory, crispy cheese. It makes it good.

I really loved this place because food is good hot chocolate is really yummy and the food is very unique they recently changed the menu but food is still good. The only reason I didn't like this place is because I got the stake and eggs and I asked it for medium rare but it actually looked rare.

I got a Cobb salad my family members ordered breakfast and lunch items which is nice. I tried some of one of my family members chicken pot pie and it was pretty bland unfortunately and he agreed with that. We’re not people who like to return things to the kitchen unless it’s not what we ordered. I thought the music was a little weird for Mimi’s Café. It was Taylor Swift type music. I don’t know. It just didn’t really match up, but that’s just my opinion. I don’t really remember having too many encounters with the waitress, but she seemed nice.

Their Cinnamon roll French toast is sooooo good! Their Crème brûlée and lemon cake was so good! The lemon cake was pretty small tho for about $8 but it was good. Their I onion soup was good too real cheesy.

I got off early so I dropped by to pick us up nice dinner from mimis. Been a while since I have been there. The food was delicious as always and fresh. The service was also good. Jessica was fast and friendly. There was an issue with the computer not being able to process orders. But they handled it well I thought. This is a nice safe way for non fast food that is quick turnaround.

When I came here I saw that there was a terrible review just minutes before I arrived and I was very skeptical (I'm already not a big fan of chain restaurants) The waiter was great. Brought bread out with their delicious butter. I ordered the Steak and Eggs with potatoes and it was surprisingly great. There was a garlic-herb butter on the steak that was very good and the potatoes were very good. Had one of the flavored mimosas too which went very well. Place went above and beyond my expectations, I was really expecting a glorified Coco's or something and it made me feel bad for judging. If I had to choose a chain restaurant for brunch this would be the top of my list.

Enjoyed their baked Brie and sangria. They opened their back parking lot to make room for social distancing dining. Customer service was so friendly and attentive. I would go back there again!

Restaurant was virtually empty at 9:30 am.. We were greeted and asked to wait while a table was readied. It took awhile. A second staff greeted us and repeated the questions the first staff asked. The original staff finally returned and seated us. Service was even slower. Our server was attentive but food service didn't improve. Food was simple but satisfying. There were still many available tables when we left at 11:30 am.

I was disappointed in this particular mimi's Cafe. Please observe the pictures I took of my roasted half chicken. Now my spinach and my broccoli were good. I also had a garden salad without the croutons with a balsamic vinaigrette. I have eaten at other cafes in other states and never had this issue before. My chicken was very undercooked to the point when I separated the leg from the breast blood poured all over my plate. My father had the same dish except he had broccoli and string beans as his two sides. His chicken was overcooked. I did not take a picture of his food. I did not make a scene I only ate what I could I hope I don't get sick. I did take a big risk and ate some of the uncooked chicken. I was very disappointed in my meal that was over $21 including the garden salad that was $3.99.

The Lakewood location has poor service. This was a group event. They brought out our food but didn't tell the host. So the food sat at the door waiting to be served and got cold. Cold waffles, and chicken. They served the cold food, but hadn't given us utensils to eat. After putting cold food in front of us, we had to tell them we needed utensils. Plus it's very dingy, old, dirty looking. This location isn't good. My second time here, and both times the quality of the food was bad. I won't be back unless invited to another event here. Torrance location is nice.

service is good but the portion sizes are ridiculous 18 dollars for two bites of a sandwich and stale fries and charging extra to get the other “half” of the sandwich a couple months ago used to be twice the size.

I recently went to Mimi’s Cafe in lakewood, I decided to give them a second chance after my last experience and this was worse than the last one, I had a side Caesar salad. Mid eating it there was a hair in it, I called the waitress and told her about it and she just said okay and took it away like nothing happened, So I assumed she was going to bring another one. Pretty disappointed with today's service. Our server didn't check on us once the entire time. She only stopped by when we first sat down & when she brought our food. She offered to fill my cup after we had already gotten our food. However, I don't feel like it's entirely her fault. It seems she was overworked with little to no help from other staff. It was only her taking orders in the entire section. She had few interactions with everyone but was constantly on her feet moving. Our food was cold when it was brought to us. Maybe just wasn't the best day overall. Hoping the next time we go, it is better as I love the vibe of Mimi's. It's cute and quaint.

There are flies flying inside - this could be a major problem with quality of food coming out of the kitchen. Furniture is not in its best condition. Took almost 10 minutes to greet us and take our drink order . When my sons food came out I had asked for two crispy bacon and they came out with theses , I’ve worked in the food industry before I know when bacon has been put in a microwave, we didn’t come out to a restaurant for our food to be put in a microwave, come on Mimi’s do better .

Yall better stay away from this place…. Today While I was sitting down today waiting on my mother to come out of the restroom a man walked in with a big white dog. I thought he was going to stop at the door but he kept going and walked through the to go area and walked to the waitress and walked in the kitchen. Yes with this dog. The cooks were greeting the dog and I’m pretty positive they went back and start making food. The waitress went right back and started taking orders and taking peoples plate. I immediately went to the restroom and got my mother out of the restroom and said you are not eating anything from here. As we were walking out I said look in the kitchen and she screamed because the dog was still in the kitchen. I know this has happened before because that man was too comfortable with doing that. I have to let the health department know about what I witness at 1:22pm today. That was way too much and really irresponsible on everyone’s behalf.

I didn't get to taste of food because the service was lousy we waited almost an hour they act like they didn't know we were there so we got up and walked out

It's been a while and I completely forgot to leave a review because I'd figured this would've been resolved but .... We came here before new years for a simple breakfast that came out to $60/$70 though when I checked my bank statements a couple of days later I had been charged $140. Not sure what happened so we went back to see what was going on and the manager didn't even bat us a eye. The hostess had to handle everything by herself and took our information number emails all that stuff so they could reach back with a refund. Obviously that never happened, I'm pretty sure they're covering for the theft or are beyond incompetent to properly charge customers.

Never again in life will I eat here again. Everything was horrible. The food was thrown together on a plate. I had miss items. It was such a waste of money and my time. I should have just to McDonalds. I had elderly people with me and they didn’t enjoy it either. No pictures because I was so angry and throw it away! My next call will be to Gordon Ramsay!! He was fix this nasty place.

Hadn't stopped by here in 10 years and I was wondering why, but after biting into our food I quickly remembered why I hadn't come back.... the food was awful, literally no flavor at all and expensive to top it all off.
